Opinions de Exodus Bar and Grill Houston
I love the appetizers their insanely good. I ordered two of the cauliflower because that sauce was so great.
I've been twice and will definitely go again. The food and service were great. I'll be back again since it's in my neighborhood. I highly recommend Exodus Bar and Grill.
Very friendly and professional staff. Food quality is excellent. Highly recommended.
Hidden gem in Meyerland. Great food and great service. Steak was cooked perfectly.
Such a great new spot with a super fun Texas vibe and fantastic food and drinks! Family owned with the friendliest wait staff. We can’t wait to go back!
Food/Service/Atmosphere are all incredible. Everyone is raving about Exodus and how good it is.
Greatly enjoyed our experience at Exodus. Sushi was amazing. Best service I had seen in a restaurant in a long time.
Jason rocks so does the staff and food best place in town besides Kenny and Ziggy’s of course
I love the Texas atmosphere and decor! Joseph, our waiter. Has been terrific both times he waited on me. He is very personable. Our neighborhood needed a restaurant like Exodus for celebrations or just special lunches with friends. I love the Pecan Texas fried chicken. I have eaten here twice and can't wait to go back. So happy that Exodus came to Braeswoood Square! Thank you! MEM
Gem in the rock. Friendly atmosphere, the owner made rounds to greet everyone. We had the best burgers, and our next-door table mentioned their sushi was amazing. Absolutely recommend. Hoping to make it back before our trip home to Minnesota!
Went here for the first time and ordered to go, I couldn’t wait to get home to try the food and it didn’t disappoint. The food was wonderfully prepared and is comparable to many high end restaurants.
This spot is such a Houston treasure! The flavors are creative yet comforting, with all the warmth of a home-cooked meal. Perfect for family dinners, and equally special for a cozy date night. We can’t wait to come back!
I had fantastic food and service today. My server, James, is fantastic. He made sure everything was to my liking and went above my expectations. An owner made sure I was satisfied with my service and food. I had a burger and truffle fries which were exceptionally delicious.
I had a great dinner with friends at Exodus this past weekend. The apps were all spot on, we had a perfectly cooked and seasoned steak, and plenty of tasty cocktails. The staff was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. I’ll be going back soon for sure.
Awesome new restaurant with incredible food and drinks! The calamari was delicious and the filet was cooked to perfection! Martinis were made well and we enjoyed every bite! Can’t wait to go back to this cute new spot!
Wow!! The area around the SW corner of Loop 610 has lots of casual eateries and fast food, which have their useful place. Exodus is a find--a true, cut-above establishment in my part of town. Decor of tablecloths and Texana. Wait staff in white shirts, all attentive, all cooperating together to assure the diners' positive experience. The food? Excellent. The sauce topping the charred cauliflower appetizer we mopped off the plate with the homemade bread. Garlic spinach very tasty, and not cooked to mush. The red snapper filet roulade around asparagus with a creole crayfish topping over rice was fresh and delicious. They were out of the "white cake with icing." (Must have been good!!) Needless to say, I am very happy to have a quality dining spot in the neighborhood. And a wide open parking lot!!
Finally, the Meyerland area has a great neighborhood option for fine dining and grabbing quality drinks on a weekend evening! Due to previously being closed on Fri and Sat evenings, we never had the opportunity to try it before. Now that they're open these times, we will certainly be coming back and often! If you're in the Meyerland area and looking for a great food option for a date night, family dinner where there is something for everyone, or a relaxed place for drinks, this is it! If you're even luckier, David or Russell will take care of you. Exodus is definitely a must!!!
What an amazing dinner! The food was top notch...such an eclectic menu! And our waiter, James was amazing! Knowledgeable, helpful and fun!! We will be back!!
OMFG. You've gotta try the Carne Asada Fries for the appetizer. That and one of their signature drinks, and you'll wonder why you have to trudge all the way to the Galleria or downtown or Upper Kirby for gourmet food and tasty well-crafted drinks. If food was all that was needed for happiness, we'd be set for life. But wait. There's more. Try their The Judah chopped brisket sandwich. Trust me, you might be satisfied after the fries, but you'll have room for this. Just listen to your mouth begging for another bite, and another, and another. Pappa's? Pfah!. This is an elevated experience. Oh yeah, their veggie salads were nicely put together with good dressings. They even had a proper cappuccino to go with the Key Lime Pie. Our poor doggy got no bag from Exodus. We cleaned all of our plates. The menu is extensive, and we heard they have a M-F happy hour menu, so I'm sure we'll be ack.
Father's Day splurge. Me and my Dad split the tomahawk ribeye. My mom.and sister had fish. Everything was wonderful. Great service, reasonable prices, and really good food.
What a delightful place! The food is amazing and reasonably priced. They have a great variety, everyone in our party was able to find something. And such personable service! Don't get me started on the cute decor...
The food and service were excellent. I had the Reuben with onion rings. Both were generous servings. There is a cash charge and a card charge so it costs a small amount extra to use a credit card.
Great service! The Benjamin hot chicken sandwich was so good! Loved the Texas shaped plates and tooth picks with boots on top.
We took the boat that Moses built from Genesis and landed at Exodus. Genesis was great but Exodus is fine dining. We had sushi rolls with crab, the onion ring stack, amazingly seared seabass and the prime juicy ribeye. What wonderful experience! The HKA police aren’t around anymore so the crab California rolls are legit. I have also heard the shrimp campachana gives GC a run for its money. And shhh but rumor has it that there might be a seared pork chop added that’s juicier than P$r$y’s…you will have to check it out for yourself. Great staff. Great food. Great drinks. Get here before there is a waitlist.
the grand opening was a success going for the first time ! service was excellent ! we got the asada fries to start with and it was so delicious never had a good plate like this ! chef arturo brought out the chicken alfredo & leslie chicken plates , the plates were amazing so many excellent flavors ! definitely recommend visiting ! the restaurant was giving western theme and fancy
Fantastic dining experience at the newly minted Exodus Bar and Grill! The vibe was jumping and the food was incredible. Perfect neighborhood spot for family night or date night. I will be back very soon!
Ordered the carne asada fries on the appetizer - which was enough for a meal- flavorful and decadent. Service was excellent. I was a customer when this was Genesis and will continue to be a customer of Exodus.
Great menu and even better food and service. My family will definitely be back to try some of the other items. The beef ribs and the Ruben were the very best. Jim
Quite the hidden gem! So many food options and all delicious!
We had ordered catering for our event from Exodus and they delivered! Delicious and fresh. Definitely recommend!
Excellent food like always, kosher or not kosher. The food still clean and very good taste,All options and variety of food. One of my favorite places to eat in Houston. Al
I was so impressed with the revamp and new menu. Everything I ordered was top-notch, The calamari and croquettes were standouts. Can’t wait to go back!
I had the Thai chili wings and they were fantastic-Along with the chard cauliflower and the spinach artichoke dip which I really loved and it was delicious and I really loved meeting the owner. He comes to your table and talk to you. This is a great spot for the neighborhood. I encourage everyone to come check it out.
Great quality food and an extensive menu. We came in for apps and drinks and have since returned for dinner. Friendly service and management, we had James as our server and it was a great experience. Looking forward to coming back to try their sushi!
We went last night for dinner. Husband and I ordered the tuna tower, ribeye, and the Ziggy corned beef sandwich. Food was excellent and so was the service. They also had live music but easy to talk! Highly recommend.
Absolutely blown away by the food, atmosphere, and service at Exodus! You can feel the heart and passion behind every dish and every person involved in making Exodus a reality — the miso salmon with rice and bok choy were insanely flavorful and we were able to add some grilled shrimp on top for extra protein, the sushi was super fresh (definitely get the crispy rice with tuna!!), and the appetizers (Calamari, Spinach & artichoke dip, And fried asparagus) were The perfect start to a fantastic meal. The space feels upscale but still warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel like family. This is exactly what Meyerland needed. Can’t wait to come back with friends!
Wife and I came in for the first time and everything about the place was amazing. Shout to Russell and he awsome painting as well, definitely my kind of vibe
This is a hidden gem. The food is delicious. The service on point. Great choice of foods and wines. It would be nice if the lights would be dimmed a bit.
We had a very nice dinner. There were four of us that went. We started off with the spinach artichoke dip, which was delicious. I had the short rib Bolognese It was perfect. The flavor was excellent. I truly enjoyed it very much. ,My brother had the red fish the presentation was excellent and my brother said it was extremely tasty. My two friends enjoyed their dishes as well one had the spicy salmon pasta and the other had a ribeye steak. We had then the Keylime pie and the OMG cheesecake both were exception. Jose, our server was very attentive and the experience was extremely enjoyable. I encourage anybody to go if they want a nice time at a reasonable price.
I ordered the sushi platter. My wife ordered the burger with sweet potato fries. The sushi was excellent. I am very picky with my sushi. It was fresh and very flavorful. The burger was made with good quality meat. Service was very attentive. Will definitely come again.
Great food, great service. The roasted cauliflower is delicious and unique and the bread pudding is fantastic!!
This place is a gem! This my second time and food is delicious! Definitely try the Charred Cauliflower! Service amazing. Russell was very attentive and helpful.
The new steakhouse in town is a gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and attentive staff make you feel right at home. my ribeye was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Sides like the creamy mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus were perfect complements. Desserts rounded out an outstanding meal! Would definitely recommend and look forward to my next outing there.
We dined at Exodus this week and enjoyed it very much. The food was well-prepared, served hot, and delicious. The service was great, and the various prices were moderate. Bathrooms were spotless, which is always our gauge for a well-run business. Parking is generous and well-lit. Overall, it was a successful dining experience, and we will certainly go again because the menu is extensive.
I was pleasantly surprised during my visit. Nothing disappointed...the staff was great, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I do have to to say, James really made my experience. He made me feel welcome throughout my visit. Thanks to you James as well as the rest of the crew. You all were Great!
Really excited to have a good, local neighborhood restaurant! Our family enjoyed date night with cocktails (margarita, Golden Rush and Blue Lagoon), and appetizers (Thai chili wings, calamari and short ribs tacos). We were only going to have one round but everything was so good we had seconds. The staff was very warm and services over the top with food recommendations and quick turn around. We're in love with James, Jason, Mona and others. This will be a regular stop.
Excellent food from appetizers to dessert, and Russ was great. We will be back. Best food and atmosphere I have enjoyed in a while.
Exodus is such a gem! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is just cool and inviting. It somehow makes you feel like you’ve escaped to the country, even though you’re still in the heart of the city. The rustic-chic ambiance is warm and stylish—honestly, it’s the kind of place you could hang out at for hours and not want to leave. The food? Incredible. Whether you’re in the mood for a juicy steak, fresh fish, sushi, or even just a great burger, they’ve got it all—and it’s all done really well. The cocktails are also top-notch. Sometimes I come just to relax, sip a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making sure everything’s perfect. And the owners? So welcoming and down-to-earth—it’s clear that they care about creating a great experience for every guest. This is 100% a place I’ll keep coming back to—and bringing friends along with me. Highly recommend!
Food is excellent and so is the ambiance and service. We had the burger, Reuben sandwich, and several appetizers. Definitely recommend.
I had an amazing experience at Exodus Bar and Grill. The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and lively, and the staff made me feel right at home. I also loved their cocktails; they were creative and refreshing. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends!
Have dined there twice. Both times I was very impressed. It’s about time we had a great restaurant this close. Just had dinner there the other night again. The food and service was simply amazing
Exodus is pure class. The ambiance is stunning, and the service felt like fine hospitality from another era. I had the Reuben pastrami sandwich (excellent!), and my husband’s salmon — served perfectly atop a fresh salad — was cooked to perfection. The owner didn’t just greet, he schmoozed. Every staff member pampered us. A beautiful date night. Highly recommend.
Vegetarians and vegans all welcome! The charred cauliflower is to die for. Extensive sushi menu. And the spinach artichoke dip with the wonderful crispy bread was amazing. The fried Branzino is an entire fish (for those who eat fish)! Super friendly welcoming establishment. So haimish! Great for kids, not too loud that you can't hear yourself think. The bar was stocked with tons of choices. The owner is an absolute doll. Prices very reasonable!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) – An Unforgettable Hidden Gem! What an experience!! From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left, this place delivered pure magic. As soon as we stepped inside, the owner greeted us with a huge smile and said, “Reservation for Blair?” – instant VIP vibes that made us feel like regulars on our very first visit. We hadn’t even settled in before the chef himself swung by our table with a complimentary appetizer: fresh, house-made Pita Bread & Hummus that isn’t even on the menu. Warm, fluffy pita straight from the oven paired with the creamiest, garlicky hummus I’ve ever had – it was AMAZING and set the tone for everything to come. The menu is a glorious mash-up of comfort classics, smoky BBQ twists, and even sushi (!!), and every single dish blew us away: • Smoked Brisket Bolognese – Tender, slow-smoked brisket in a rich, meaty sauce draped over al dente pasta. The smoky depth took this Italian staple to another universe. • Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo – Silky, garlicky cream sauce clinging to perfectly cooked noodles with juicy grilled chicken. Pure comfort food heaven. • Leslie’s Monterrey Chicken – Whoever Leslie is, she’s a genius. Grilled chicken smothered in melted cheese, crisp bacon, and just the right kick of peppers. Juicy, flavorful, and downright addictive. • Chicken Fried Steak – Golden, crispy crust giving way to fork-tender steak swimming in creamy pepper gravy. Southern perfection on a plate. • Red Dragon Sushi Roll (shared with my son) – Phenomenal! Spicy tuna, crisp tempura bits, and that perfect drizzle of eel sauce and sriracha mayo. Fresh, balanced, and a total surprise standout on a non-sushi-focused menu. Everything was made fresh in-house, you could taste the love and attention in every bite. The owner and chef checking in personally made the night feel special, not just another dinner out. If you’re anywhere near this spot, RUN don’t walk. This is the kind of family-run gem that reminds you why dining out can still be an absolute joy. We’re already planning our next visit – thank you for an incredible evening! 🍽️✨ (Pro tip: Make a reservation – this place deserves to be packed every night!)
Stopped by Exodus Bar and Grill on Tuesday to grab a quick meal while on my route and wanted something different from my usual spots in the area. I ordered the Legacy Burger, and it was definitely legacy-worthy—absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, my to-go order was taken quickly, and the food came out fast. Everything lived up to expectations. I will definitely be back to try other items on their menu.
I first saw it on Instagram. I live nearby and tonight we were looking for a good meal. I remembered where it was located but not the name. Amazing experience. The food was fresh, flavorful and the portions made Texas proud. Can’t wait to come back. The menu is sooo diverse. Russel was our server and gave us a history of the business. We were greeted by everyone except the security man in the parking lot. See you all again soon.
Wow! This is my favorite place. We yad my friend’s birthday here, and without us asking, the staff made it so special! They took excellent care of us- Russell, José, and Cynthia made our experience stellar. The food was delicious, too! We will be back!!!
We had a big group at the restaurant today! The waiters, Russell, Jose, and James were wonderful! The food was excellent! I had a corned beef sandwich and egg rolls! Very delicious! The atmosphere is great! The owner, Jason, was very accommodating for our big group of 28. I will definitely be back!!
We tried this neighborhood restaurant after reading several reviews and must say it did not disappoint, it has become a staple for us when dining out. We enjoy the ambiance, the wait staff (James, Russell et al), and the food which is always delicious, diverse and presented beautifully. The restaurant offers something for everyone, even our toddler loves it! Check out their food images, so far everything has been excellent!
I was there this past Saturday night with two friends. We all ordered a various form of a hamburger. Mine was Dave’s Mushroom and Swiss burger. It was soooo yummy and it came with delish fries too. To top it off, our waiter Russ was very friendly and knowledgeable. He even heard it was my friend’s birthday and brought us out a pecan pie complete with ‘Happy Birthday’ written on the plate. Then he serenaded us with a happy birthday song. Needless to say, what started out as just a few friends going to dinner turned out to be a super fun and delicious experience. Thank you Exodus and an extra special thank you Russ. We will certainly be back.
This restaurant has been hands down one of the most enjoyable and delicious places to get a meal in the city of Houston I have been to. Their short rib was better cooked and higher quality than places like Perry’s steakhouse or taste of Texas. The presentation on the plate was incredible and very well done, everything was prepared with care and always tasted insanely good. The service was absolutely superb, our server was a blast, we will 100% be coming back to try more of the delicious food at this restaurant (if you’re reading this Russ,Merry Christmas!)
We were fortunate to have chosen to eat at Exodus this past Saturday. This was our first time to have eaten there and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I tried the Lemon Drop cocktail and it was perfect! We both order the filet mignon and they were cooked just as we had asked for and as you can see by the photo, artfully served. We are looking forward to returning and to bringing friends. We have already recommended Exodus to our friends
Exodus Bar and Grill in Houston is such a great spot — chill vibes, awesome food, and super friendly staff. The place looks amazing inside, with that perfect mix of cozy and stylish. The menu has a little bit of everything — juicy steaks, fresh seafood, sushi rolls, and killer burgers — and everything tastes fresh and full of flavor. The service is on point, they actually pay attention and make sure you’re taken care of without hovering. Whether you’re out for a night with friends, a date, or just grabbing a good meal, Exodus is one of those places you’ll definitely want to come back to.
This hidden gem is absolutely worth a visit! You’d never guess from the outside that it’s a restaurant, but the moment you walk in, the space is beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing. The food exceeded our expectations — high‑quality, fine‑dining flavors without the stuffy atmosphere. We loved everything we ordered. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the sushi was fresh and delicious (easily a full meal on its own), and the seabass with mushroom risotto is a must‑try. Service was outstanding — Russell went above and beyond to guide us through the menu and make sure we had a great experience. We’ll definitely be back!
I have nothing to say but wow. You will see from my profile its hard to get a good review out of me. Especially for a restaurant. This place is not just great its outstanding. I will absolutely be back and if you haven't been you should go. Service was great and I was a pain ordering medium to well done lamb, two starters ordered at separate times, 4 different cocktails, etc all handled with ease, food was fast and cooked to absolute perfection. I have no idea where this place found its chef but whoever he is he can cook!! Best lamb ive eaten in Texas even the USA. I wish this place every success. I've already recommended.
We came here for valentine’s dinner and we had an amazing time! This is definitely the place to try something new! Russ was our server and gave us PRIME recommendations! we tried the roasted cauliflower, the pistachio crusted sea bass and the braised short rib. The staff were warm and welcoming. We even met the owner who was also very kind! There was also live music! an overall wonderful experience. Thank you so much 🫶🏼
Just found this place! So good! Russell provided amazing service. Looks like a bar from the outside but don’t be fooled it’s a nice restaurant inside. We came with our 2 year old and she said it was the best fries! Parents had chicken fettuccine and chicken sandwich with side salad. Definitely will be back! Great new find!
I can barely believe how fabulous was this professionally prepared Thanksgiving meal! It was actually better than any of the 70+ home cooked Thanksgiving meals I’ve had in my life! I had the dark meat turkey and gravy, candy, jams, creamed corn, and baked string beans with fresh fried onions. My plate was so beautiful, and the food was so plentiful and delicious that only until after I finished that I remembered, I forgot to order the turkey dressing, which I have never missed—-ever! No big deal! Did I mention how delicious this food was!? Oh, and the pecan pie was Absolutely off the charts Terrific, THE best EVER‼️😋👍💘
We were in town for one night only and I chose Exodus Bar and Grill restaurant based on the excellent reviews and photos others had posted. We were not disappointed! We ordered the Branzino which was absolutely just as flavorful and expertly prepared as the one I had last month in Montenegro! The delicious pecan pie a la mode, which is made in house, was served perfectly warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and fresh fruit. The blackberry mojito was also a fabulous cocktail to start the meal. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area and I highly recommend the locals to frequent this establishment as much as possible! They are also now serving brunch!
Amazing hidden gem! We randomly found on Google search, and were delighted! Very personal service, Russell made great recommendations and provided the perfect level of service. The food was beautiful, in presention and taste. Some great flavors, traditional and experimental. We are absolutely going to try out their party menus for large groups soon!
Went to Exodus for a family celebration a few weeks back, and this is truly a hidden gem! We came around brunch time and the service was fantastic, food tasted incredible, and prices were very reasonable. Would absolutely recommend, everyone loved their dishes and the portion sizes were generous too!
What an awesome experience! The food was Stella and the staff is exceptional. Russel scored a home run with us.
The food is exquisite, the service is top tier and the menu has endless options for whatever you are craving. Truly a hidden gem in Houston!
This was a huge surprise. It’s a small, locally-owned restaurant with a significant and diverse menu featuring everything from sushi, to burgers, to chops, to steaks. The ambience is simple (with great classic rock and pop) and the staff is simply perfect. The food was not only flavorful and served hot, but competes with well-known steak houses. I have an incredible NY Strip that was delicious from start to finish. The wine selection is simple, but offers good options. The bar is fully stocked. I mentioned the sushi - do not disregard this side of the menu. The chef has over a decade of experience as a sushi chef and the offerings are amazing, fresh and creative. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough and look forward to returning. A big shout out to our waiter Rusty - the guys is a pro!
This was a really cool little hole in the wall place!! They had really good food. It's not just a bar and grill. It is top cuisine... My wife got that pecan encrusted chicken and I got the filet..
This new restaurant was one we wanted to try, and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding, the service friendly and serving portions were quite large. The menu was extraordinarily diverse (sushi, pastas, steaks, seafood, soups, burgers, deli sandwiches, etc., etc.) and we're not sure how the kitchen will deal with such a large number of items in the long term, but our order was well-prepared, served hot and was delicious. We had the Exodus Gumbo, Pecan Texas Fried Chicken, the Chicken Dayanis and Carrot Cake, and all were outstanding. With so many options we DIDN'T try, we'll definitely be back.
I heard about this new restaurant on Nextdoor and decided to try it at an odd time (about 3:30 pm). There were two other tables occupied besides mine. The place is nicely appointed with loads of Westwrn style art and a plan. Cement floor. A nice selection of booths and tables of which some are with white tablecloths. There was one busboy and one water. The busboy greeted me fairly promptly and got me water. The waiter took longer tha. I thought he should given there were only three tables and he wasn’t attending g to the other two when I arrived. Also, my water glass was empty and he did not seem to notice for most of the meal. I didn’t say anything g as I wanted to see if he’d ever notice. He did but it was almost at the end of the meal. Now the good stuff. My hamburger was probably the best I’ve had anywhere in Houston. It was the mushroom and cheese option and it was SUPERB. I am guessing g that it arrived open faced in a brioche bun. I don’t usually care for hamburger buns as they are too doughy. Not here. Great bun. And the thick hamburger made with angus beef is not at all greasy nor dry. Honestly….a perfect burger in my opinion. I opted for o ion rings instead of fries. The three onion rings were the breadcrumbs style which is not what I usually prefer (I like the thick flaky crust kind) but I have to say they were really good. They were not salty and I think I sensed a hint of paprika. I’d absolutely get this again. Most restaurants do not have anything that I crave for afterwards. Albeit the menu at Exodus is quite extensive and had many things I will try later, I have been craving that burger everyday. I love Greek salads and got one to go. It was also a great option. One thing I noticed is that the olives were not overwhelmingly salty as found elsewhere. I added 6 nice sized grilled shrimp and they were cooked perfectly and made the Greek salad even better. Although exodus has an extensive sushi menu (I think about half the menu) and I love sushi, I am somewhat hesitant to eat this at a restaurant that may not (yet) be busy. Just fearful of sushi that may not be up to my standard of freshness. A high volume restaurant offsets this reluctance. Maybe in the future. UPDATE- have been back many times and ALL the food has been wonderful and the waitstaff is excellent.
A Much-Needed Gem in Meyerland – Exodus Bar & Grill Houston, especially the Meyerland area, just got a serious upgrade with the opening of Exodus Bar & Grill. This place is exactly what the neighborhood—and honestly, the city—needed. From the moment you pull in, the experience is smooth. Ample parking makes a big difference in Houston, and Exodus delivers on convenience. Step inside and you're welcomed into a stylish, modern space that still feels warm and inviting. The attention to detail in the design is impressive, making it perfect for everything from casual dinners to date nights or celebrations. Now to the real star: the menu. It’s packed with flavor and creativity. Whether you're in the mood for something hearty or lighter fare, there's something for everyone—and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The drinks menu is just as well-thought-out, with craft cocktails that rival any high-end bar in the city. And the service? Five stars without question. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. You can tell the team here cares about creating a top-tier experience. Exodus Bar & Grill isn’t just another restaurant—it’s a destination. Meyerland residents are lucky to have it so close, and it's well worth the drive from other parts of Houston. Highly recommend checking it out before the word really gets out.

This was a really cool little hole in the wall place!! They had really good food. It's not just a bar and grill. It is top cuisine... My wife got that pecan encrusted chicken and I got the filet..
Came here to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday! The food, service, and atmosphere were amazing 🤩. The owner is personable, great hospitality, and servers efficient and friendly. We will definitely visit Exodus Again 🙌😇🙏🏽.
This was our first visit and we loved it. Food was great, service was awesome, and the chef came around to check on us, which was really nice. Happy we randomly stopped in.
Prices very reasonable!
great scenery all staff is extremelyyyy catering and there food is amazingg along with affordable i always go for a good ribeye cooked to my perfection!!! we do have a favorite server James always takes care of us and makes sure to go out his way to make sure we have an extremely memorable time we also love that the owner is so hands on in making sure everyone is enjoying their time and bringing great energy towards each table!! we will always be back customers for lifeee🫶🏼!!!!
They just serving prime rib on Friday’s. It was fantastic. Just as good if not better than Houston’s back in the day’s. Definitely get the cauliflower appetizer to start! Warm ambience, beautiful art, and the service is amazing. Shout out to Jose and David. The chef even came by to say hello. I think his name was Arturo. They also just started doing live music on some nights. Thank y’all for another wonderful evening. We will see you soon.
Exodus is a favorite of my wife and I for our date nights. We always sit in the same booth, but I assume the other booths and tables are good too. The food is excellent; they have a wide variety so there is always something for everyone (important feature for families). Drinks are great, service is 11/10. Friendly, knowledgable, and fast. Sometimes they have live music too. We will keep coming here for dinner and recommend it 100%. Edit: Jason it won’t let me respond to you, but our “booth” was the one under the Texas license plate “conglomerate”, although on Saturday we saw that booth was since moved to a different location.
Wonderful experience at this hidden gem, we were trying to find a unique place to eat for a nice Christmas eve date, and stumbled upon Exodus. The reviews and pictures grabbed my attention, for the prices it seemed really good! And my expectations were blown out of the water!! Our server, Bob Russ, AMAZING!!! We definitely came at the perfect time to meet this character of a person, he handled us very well and treated us like we were regulars and like actual people, not just customers. Our food and drinks were brought out quick, everything was delicious and far surpassed what I expected for the price. Cooked to perfection, not a single thing was off, and the cocktails were phenomenal. Compliments to the chef and the drink mixer, I wish I got everyone's name because everyone was so fun and personable. I will definitely be coming back not only to try new food but to just be around such a great and positive crowd. The restaurant itself had such a cozy, warm and welcoming atmosphere, at first I was nervous because I wasn't sure how upscale this place would be. But I felt like I belonged there. We even accidentally stayed a little bit past closing time, we felt so bad, but Russ assured us we were fine and even personally escorted us out and thanked us for coming. I'll be coming back for that Dragon!!

The service was great. We were greeted immediately upon entering and there was no wait to be seated. Menus and drinks were delivered quickly. I had a salad with Chicken. The salad was pretty average but the chicken was delicious. I'll return.
Waiter was wonderful, food was ok ..3 soups on menu, only had 1 ..out of some other things. Wait was long, one waiter it seemed, mac and cheese and onion rings and pecan ckn were delicious
Stopped in because it was new in the area..walking in it has a hill country , western motiff. Looking at the menu, appetizers like artichoke Spinach dip on a texas shape board,, which was good. Some other things, Sushi? Etc Then I noticed a special on the board..Paella..now, I had to ask who is making it and what's in it...the said it was seafood, mussels, shrimp, scallops...etc..that stopped me in my tracks. I've never heard of anyone putting scallops in a Paella. I cook mine as well, so it wasn't a sure bet for me. Thought I would try the Sushi...but no, the Sushi chef was not in, so had to switch gears. I had the Pecan crusted chicken..a bit unusual, I wasn't sure what was going on at this point..my son had Chicken soup. I started wondering if Exodus was a message. The menu seems all over the place..I usually photograph, take pictures, etc for reviews. I just didn't. Something was off. Our waiter said the owner was trying out different things..I have worked in Restaraunts most my life from cooking to managing and I wasn't sure what the focus of this place was on. It seems strange to offer Corned beef, Sushi, Paella, hill country items etc. I mean it's not exactly the Marietta Diner in Marietta where you can get anything 24 hours a day. It was a little confusing. I was informed that this place was originally Genesis on Bissonet where KP Kitchen now stands.
Came in about 1pm and we were the only ines there. The entrees took a awhile to come, I believe they only had one cook so understandable. The calamari was fresh. The spinach dip tasted like it came out of a box and was microwaved. The mushroom Swiss burger was good but the burger itself lacked any real seasoning. The fries were a little too salty, they would've been better if they were freshly cut and not frozen. Nothing food wise really stood out to draw a customer to return.
Second time to eat here, ordered a salad and burger on a Sunday night. This time we celebrated a birthday in the restaurant. Started with a sushi appetizer, it was not a totally raw roll, it was slightly cooked , will out a picture of it. Ordered ribs with sides, a nice side salad and pork, spinach and truffle Mac n cheese. Loved the Mac.
I know they have had Trouble recently with their transition from kosher to kosher style. On the other hand, the salads looked and tasted very nice. I had a soup of the day plate of lentil soup. It was spicy I contained lentils, It was a bit greasy. Just to be safe if I order an Angus cheeseburger, the meat was some kind of a meatloaf, banana cheeseburger, salty, and had some strange Herb inthere which I did not recognize or enjoy.l. Cause we were a large group we were charged 25% tip. I announcement came as a surprise. I guess it was kind of a donation. Anyway, I would not return..
We tried this neighborhood restaurant after hearing great things from a few neighbors and were excited to finally check it out. The host was welcoming and seated us right away, and the food was genuinely very good. Unfortunately, the service from our waiter (tall thin guy with glasses) completely overshadowed the experience. When I asked about a menu item I’d seen on the restaurant’s Instagram (and even showed the photo), the response was dismissive and even rude. Throughout the meal, his tone was snappy and unpleasant. At the end, after paying, we noticed a surcharge on the bill and asked a simple question about it. Instead of calmly explaining, he over-explained while ushering us toward the door, then continued the confrontation outside all the way to the parking lot —raising his voice and using profanity. It was shocking and totally unacceptable. I’m disappointed because the food was great, but with an experience like this, we won’t be returning. The star I added for service is only for the host and water server. I truly hope the owner is aware and addresses this kind of behavior, because customer service in restaurants is everything.
