Went to celebrate my sister and brother’s birthday today! Made a reservation for 1pm and we were abt 15/20 late and they still had our table ready and didn’t give us a hard time for being late. Got there and was immediately greeted and seated. Sat down and our waiter came to get our drink and appetizer orders but not only did he come he danced and sung the whole time we were there. He was sooooo sweet and down to earth! His name was WILL! Kiss y’all have a GREAT guy on your hands! He kept us entertained, he even danced with the birthday girl! Oh and the Food was delicioussssss!!!! We left very satisfied! We will be back! And when we come WILL will have to be our waiter again!

It’s a vibe with good food. We absolutely enjoyed the salmon bites, Thai shrimp (sauce on side), jerk lamb chops, and shrimp and lobster pasta. Lamb chops tender and seasoned. The pasta was good with plenty of shrimp and lobster yet I will try something else next time. The prawns appetizer was fried to perfection and delicious. The music was on point but not too loud and didn’t prevent a good table conversation. The place has spots for cool pics. We celebrated my spouses birthday and received a complimentary lil cake. Server: Angel was attentive and informative on suggestions. 💗 her. We will be back. After leaving, I was in great spirits and ready to keep the birthday celebration going.

Great ambience and music. The servers were friendly and answered questions about drinks and food. We enjoyed a nice appetizer (deviled eggs). Drinks were ok, I cant remember the name of what I got but it was decent. I had a filet that I asked for medium well, which was more like well done but it taste good, Mac and cheese was great, I also ordered some of their corn bread, that was pretty amazing. I dont like the fact that they add the gratuity. I believe this should be up to the discretion of the guest. Overall good experience.

Our food was delicious (grits and oxtails and I tried the shrimp and catfish)! The vibe was nice. Our waiter was great, Jordan, and Waiter Will provided all the entertainment and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The dj was on point and the guitarist 🎸 just wow! Prices are a lil' pricey but our whole table of 7 had the best time!!

We chose Kiss Houston for a friend’s birthday dinner, and overall it was a nice experience. The atmosphere was beautiful definitely a standout feature of the restaurant. It was lively, though I did find the music to be a little too loud for my preference. That said, the DJ kept the energy up and played a great selection all night. For dinner, I ordered the pan-seared salmon along with a cocktail (I can’t recall the name, but it was excellent). The salmon was flavorful, though I personally would’ve preferred it cooked a bit longer. Still, it was enjoyable. Would I return? Yes, I’d come back but next time I’d love to try their brunch. 😊

Im giving this score because the service, atmosphere, music, and even managers were nice. I would say no reservations are needed on a weekday, not really certain as an out of towner. If you try to cancel your reservations, that I made the same day and tried to cancel, not even 5 minutes later, we would have been charged $25 per person. The food reviews on social media are correct. It was just okay. If I scored on food alone, it would be a 2.5. The portion was good for the southern chicken, but the chicken was cooked very hard, and the greens and the Mac were just okay. The cornbread was hard on the top. I could not even cut it with my fork. They gave a free dessert to the birthday person, which was nice. I can say that I've tried KISS, but I will not return with so many other places to visit while there in Houston. Maybe I will eat first and stop for drinks.

⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ (3/5) Tried KISS for a date night and it was honestly underwhelming. The red beans & rice were tasty — probably the highlight — I’d give that a 6/10. Drinks were strong but extremely sweet, which may be a plus for some, but not my preference. The vibe was pretty much nonexistent. The place was empty, which made date night feel awkward instead of intimate. They were playing a movie for “movie night,” but there was no sound, so it didn’t add to the experience at all. Definitely not what we expected. Desserts seemed store-bought, which was disappointing given the concept. Overall, food was okay, drinks were sweet and strong, but the atmosphere really missed the mark. Wouldn’t recommend this spot for date night, especially if you’re looking for energy or ambiance.

Our server was so funny, he was LGBTQ and was an absolute delight. However, the food was interesting for lack of better words. There was so much fat on the oxtails I could feel the visceral fat forming around my organs. You get more fat than you get oxtail, and that breaks my heart. ALIEF FOODIE REVIEW 🚨 Let me go ahead and save somebody some money and some time. Pulled up to this spot for **Happy Hour** thinking we were about to vibe. We got there at **5:15 PM on a Sunday**… simple right? Wrong. Nobody greeted us. Nobody checked on us. Nobody acknowledged we were even alive. We finally got a host at **5:27 PM**. Cool… whatever. Stuff happens. But then the waiter didn’t even come take our drink order until **5:45 PM**. By this point Happy Hour is basically half gone and we’re just sitting there looking crazy. And here’s the kicker… **They didn’t even charge the Happy Hour price.** Now let me say this: **I refuse to complain inside an establishment.** I’m not about to argue with staff or make a scene. But what I WILL do is tell the people what it is. So here we go. For **2 people the bill was $176.** Let’s talk about the food. **Wings (Appetizer)** Flavor was actually good, I’m not gonna lie. But they were **not popping hot**, which tells me they were sitting in the back for a minute before they hit the table. If wings come out lukewarm, you already know what time it is. **Country Fried Chicken (Entree)** Listen… when they brought it out I almost laughed. They gave me a **whole bucket situation** — breast, leg, thigh, and wing. Four pieces like somebody’s grandma packed my plate for Sunday dinner. But the chicken itself? Kinda **wack**. Too flaky, almost like the breading and chicken weren’t even on the same team. Now I will say the **sugar-based hot sauce saved it a little**. That sauce gave it some life. **Mashed Potatoes** Solid. No complaints there. **Cornbread** Oh wait… never mind. They conveniently **ran out of cornbread.** Big bummer. They replaced it with **asparagus**, which was actually good… but let’s be real. **Asparagus and fried chicken ain’t the combo anybody came here for.** **Greens** Now THESE were good. Straight up. No complaints at all. **Drinks** I’m not gonna front… the drinks were good. But **overpriced for sure**, especially when you show up for Happy Hour and don’t even get Happy Hour pricing. Now I will say this… If you’re going **for the club scene**, then yeah — it’s a vibe. Music, people, energy… I can see that part. But if we’re talking about the **restaurant side**, they might need to go ahead and **remove “restaurant” from the name and just call it *Club Kiss*.** Because the experience we had definitely leaned more **club than restaurant.** End of the day: Slow service Happy Hour that wasn’t really Happy Hour Food that was hit or miss $176 later Yeah… I’m cool. **I won’t be doing a re-up unless I hear about a drastic change.** Alief Foodie keeping it honest. 🍽️💯

$75 just to hold up a sign saying happy birthday and dessert?????? Stop scrolling and pick another restaurant. This restaurant is way too expensive for the service and food. Dined here for my friend’s birthday and probably would have had a better time at Chili’s. And yes you read that correctly… we were charged $75 for a happy birthday sign that we couldn’t even keep. They didn’t even sing happy birthday. Just stood around like bottle girls and dropped off dessert which should have been free since it was her birthday. They had a live band which was nice but it was very loud. We could hardly talk to each other or our waitress. The waitress also provided the VERY BARE MINIMUM if that but our checks were charged 20% gratuity. We had to beg for straws and utensils. She took our order and never came back until after the food had arrived for 5 minutes. She refilled our waters after the checked was paid. Definitely felt like we were robbed with the added gratuity. The food is definitely overpriced. $20 for 6 wings and we aren’t talking whole wings.. $49 for 4 lamb chops with no sides is crazy. They also were suppose to come medium well and we could barely cut through them with a knife. The salad was $14 and adding any protein was $15+. The salad was very basic and lacked personality. My friend ordered the fried chicken and you can tell they just dipped the chicken in flour without seasoning it. Very very bland. Save your money and dine somewhere else with much better food and service. Never had an issue with spending money on food but this wasn’t it.

I was disappointed with my recent experience. The service was very slow, and there were several inconveniences throughout the evening. The special they were promoting had already run out, which was frustrating. My drink order was incorrect, and the food took a long time to come out. Additionally, multiple menu items were sold out. We were celebrating our anniversary, and unfortunately, nothing was done to acknowledge the occasion, which made the experience feel even more underwhelming. Given the level of service and overall experience, I would have preferred to celebrate at a more consistently upscale restaurant such as Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille or Mastro’s Steakhouse. As a Black-owned business, I came specifically to show support and was hopeful for a great experience. Because of that, it is even more disappointing to leave dissatisfied. I truly believe businesses we support should strive for excellence and consistency, especially when customers are choosing to celebrate special occasions there. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations.

Tried to enjoy a birthday dinner with my friends this evening, but we were unaware that it was movie night. The restaurant is gorgeous but I did not get a chance to eat my entree because they played the movie The Butler. For those that don’t know that is a very tragic movie based on a true story. Coming from a black woman it was extremely tone deaf to allow that to be an option for a movie. Multiple tables complained to the manager after seeing scenes of hanging, use of the n-word, and extreme hate crimes in the movie. The movie volume was also very loud which further triggered my friends and I because of the intense scenes. We spoke to the manager and he said they would not change the movie. We decided to take our meals to go and leave. Mind you the restaurant was very empty. Other tables left early because they were also offended. Only two tables were left when we departed. As an establishment that is supposed to be tailored to the black experience, it was not. The non-black manager and other staff allowed for a very uncomfortable environment. I do not recommend supporting this business anymore.
