Opinions de Roll-em-Up Taquitos Houston
I ordered the 4-taquito combo, loaded with carne asada, which came with a soft drink and two sides (rice and beans). I also added an order of carne asada nachos. The beans were a little too salty for my personal taste, but still good overall. The taquitos, though, were fantastic—super crunchy, packed with flavor, and the sauces on top really brought everything together. They honestly reminded me of my mom’s homemade flautas, which is always a great sign. The nachos were divine. Easily some of the best nachos I’ve had, and I’d recommend this place for the nachos alone. Generous portions, great flavor, and everything felt well put together. Total came out to $31.19, which felt very affordable for the quality and amount of food. Definitely worth it, and I’ll be coming back.
My friend and I shared a 4 taquito combo which also comes with a drink, rice and beans, we added a side of elote OG style in a cup and an order of carne asada nachos. We tried the chicken and beef taquitos, fully loaded, with corn and flour tortillas. The corn tortilla taquitos are crisper. Both are delicious and the flour does get a little soggy the longer it sits in the sauce. The OG elote has lots of butter, yum. The nachos are piled with sauce and toppings.
Absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, and the staff was so welcoming. You can really taste the freshness in every bite. I’d recommend this place to anyone—solid 10/10!
The cashier was extremely friendly and VERY helpful for our first time getting food here! There are so many variations of food and she was very patient. The food….AMAZING. I got chicken and beef taquitos on flour and corn with mild sauce. Street corn and asada fries. Everything was flavor packed!! The taquitos came with rice and beans and even that was amazing. I normally don’t get rice at fast food joints but this is a must get. They even have table top games to play while you wait for your food! My one and only fix for this place would be to have cleaner floors. I was overlooking the sticky floors until I got to the chairs at the tables and the chair was stuck to the floor. I would def go back though!
Listen... I drove an hr just to try this place.. I thought it was going to be those " instagram waste of time places " ooooohh was i wrong! The taquitos are perfect! The salsas, the COSTUMER SERVICE 1000%! And for the love of God and everything that is holy.. do not and I mean DO NOT leave this place without getting their donut and horchata shake!!!! They are heaven on earth! my pictures don't do this place a service but I needed to brag to all my friends about this place!
I WILL START WITH THE FACT THAT THE BATHROOMS ARE SUPER CLEAN. The food is excitedly different. Tasty and not greasy. The expanded menu allows for a nice taste test of many different things that get you full. BRECHELLE and LUCIO were amazing and forthcoming with service. For a fun time with taquitos in a new definitions try this amazing restaurant.
Saw this place on instagram and had to check it out! I got the 2 taquitos combo (1 ground beef &1 chicken)…. They both were good but I liked the chicken more. Let be not forget the young lady who took my order! She was super sweet to start off and then she had such great customer service skills. She asked if I’ve ever been before and then proceeded to give me all the options for my order with such patience. Now the elote corn on the cobb is so fire. The corn is very fresh and tasty! I’m definitely coming back to try out some more options
The wait is finally over for the Houston location of Roll Em Up Taquitos! After tirelessly commenting and DM-ing their Instagram about the opening, I’m thrilled it’s now up and running. My first visit, however, had a couple of hiccups but it wasn’t their fault. Upon arrival, I found the place to be well-organized and welcoming, with staff offering a warm greeting. I was the only customer at the time, which made for a quiet, personal experience. The cashier was helpful in explaining the menu, which features taquitos, nachos, beans, rice, street corn, and churro donuts. I also tried the Horchata slushy, though I found the caramel drizzle a bit much for my taste. I ordered a 4-pack combo, mixing flavors like potato ground beef, shredded beef, and shredded chicken, with both flour and corn tortillas. Unfortunately, since I didn’t eat the taquitos immediately, they became soggy and didn’t taste as good. The cashier’s recommendations were spot-on, but the sogginess affected the flavor and texture. The Roll Em Up sauce comes in mild or hot; I chose mild. For sides, I opted for rice and beans. The rice was flavorful but could use a touch of citrus. The ranchero beans were a bit too salty for my taste, and the street corn was missing the cojita cheese that I love. The churro donut was decent but had too much cinnamon and sugar for my preference. On my second visit, I attended their soft opening and learned about the grand opening on August 17. The first 100 customers received free taquitos for a year, so I decided to join in. The line was manageable, and I met some great people while waiting. The manager remembered me from my previous visit and introduced me to Dave, the owner. It was great hearing about the challenges he faced in opening the location and his patience throughout the process. During the grand opening, I tried their lemonade and passionfruit drinks, which I mixed to create a refreshing Arnold Palmer-style beverage. Overall, Roll Em Up Taquitos offers a unique experience with delicious food and a friendly, family-run vibe. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their regular menu! You can find my video review on my TikTok
The food here was so Good, will definitely come back. The rice and beans are so flavorful. The taquitos were a great size and full of meat. Also I think they have best Queso Blanco out. If you’re thinking about trying them, don’t hesitate. You won’t regret it. Had the chance to meet one of owners while there. She was very friendly and welcoming. She told us about their promotion to receive a free churro donut with downloading the app. The Churro donut was fresh, hot and perfect. I could go on and on about their menu, Can’t wait for my next visit.
I had to figure out what taquitos I like. I don't like the meat ones but the potato and cheese ones go hard. Once I figured out what I liked, it's been on! I really like their rice because it's such a different flavor profile than most rice you get here in TX...it has an Indian flair to it. Note: it's not very pretty/appetizing looking but it taste good (the non meat ones). The service is always good. The young lady usually at the counter is a family member of the owners and she has such a positive vibe about her. It's a treat for something different and at a fair price point
This place is exceeded by expectations!!!!! The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming , the staff were incredibly friendly and the food was simply outstanding. Every dish was so flavorful ! I love the corn the most with Cheetos and sour cream ! They had it cup option too, but I just went with the whole corn. The level of hospitality was immaculate. Loved everything about it. I’d recommend this place to everyone!

Came here after a disappointing experience at First Watch. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Very happy to help and serve. The food was better than expected for my first time. I will be back
Staff was super friendly! Atmosphere is great, I love all the games they have. Great place to hang with friends and have some good food! Really enjoyed the loaded taquitos, definitely want to come back and try the OG.
We had a tasty lunch at Roll-Em-Up our first time this past Labor Day and the staff made sure we were well taken care of. Some spicy sauce was accidentally added to one of our kids orders and they were quick to replace it with the correct order. And for a little extra excellent customer service they surprised our kids with a tasty donut to split as an apology. Thanks Roll-Em-Up, we’ll be back very soon for some tasty Taquitos and Nachos.
Great place to stop for a bite to eat. BRECHELLE was very welcoming and stayed with a smile the whole time we were there. Great options on the menu, but I had the Chicken taquitos and taco burger.. taquitos were great! Taco burger had great flavor but was cold. The rice and beans were tasty. I would try again if in the area.
I got the 3 taquitos with chicken on corn tortilla OG style and it came with rice and beans. The taquitos were really good. Rice and beans also good. I also got a corn in the cup and it was not for me. the corn they used had no flavor even though it was topped with cheese and I think hot cheeto it was very bland.
I finally decided to give this spot a try and I’m so glad I did. Just a heads-up, I’m not from Texas I’m a California native (don’t judge me lol) and this food took me right back home. This is what I call real deal, comforting, fried Mexican food. The taquitos were perfect crispy, seasoned just right, and everything a good taquito should be. For those who don’t know (like me before Texas): taquitos here are made with corn tortillas, and they also offer “flats,” which are rolled in flour tortillas. I tried both, and they were both delicious. Just a little tip the flour tortilla version does get a bit soft if you let it sit too long, but the corn ones stayed crunchy the whole time. The rice and beans were on point flavorful and well-seasoned. I also got a deep-fried taco with ground beef, and it immediately took me back to my grandma’s kitchen on a Sunday afternoon. Total nostalgia. Make sure to ask for the hot sauce they won’t offer it unless you ask. The red one is solid, but I personally loved the green sauce more (but hey, we are in Texas, and green sauce just hits different here). They’ve got horchata and all the classic drinks, plus a regular soda machine. I saw a bunch of people ordering corn, fries, and nachos too everything looked amazing. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They noticed it was my first time and offered some great recommendations (which I took), plus I ventured out and tried the donut yup, that was good too. Only downside? Parking can be a bit tricky. I ended up parking in the Home Depot lot nearby. But there was hardly any wait, and the food came out hot and fresh. After eating, I stopped by the restroom to clean up just a heads-up, they have gender-neutral bathrooms (two in total) If you’re looking for food that hits all the right notes, comforting, flavorful, and full of heart this place is a hidden gem. Definitely worth checking out. Deliciously Toxic Foodie
Really neat new spot in a popular strip center. Got the 3-count of taquitos fully-loaded. Side of rice and beans. Also got an order of carne guisada fries. Cup of elote corn on the side (least impressive). Everything was made fresh to order. The lady workin the cashier station was super sweet and actually did the preparing, too. She was lovely. Will go back! 7.8/10

My new go-to spot 🌽🥤 Super solid meal at Roll Em Up. The taquitos are way better than fast food super crispy and loaded with meat. I got the fully loaded style with the cheese and guacamole, and it was worth every penny. The corn in a cup is a must-have side. Fast, fresh, and friendly service. Can’t wait to come back and try the other fillings.
We visited on a Saturday afternoon afternoon. The place was fairly empty with the door propped open though it was 30 something degrees outside so I did ask for it to be closed as my food was getting ice cold within seconds. We ordered taquitos beef and chicken. We preferred the chicken though there wasn’t much meat in the taquitos and we ordered the nachos. The meat for the nachos was excellent but the cheese for the nachos had no flavor $17 for nachos the size of what you get it. Taco Bell is crazy. The register was very friendly and knowledgeable. She explained the menu in great detail, but we need to get some seasonings in there, garlic powder, onion powder they did not have corn on the cob, but had corn in a cup with a high up charge and it was not very good but their beans are good a little spicy. The donut was excellent but I love cinnamon and caramel
We were on our way to eat brunch across the street and my wife and I saw this place Saturday 5/18. "Selling taquitos" you get the impression that okay it's a Mexican restaurant which it is, but fast food style, similar to Taco Cabana or that fake Taco Bell crap. Not our style! Everything is fried food, except the beans, oh and they don't sell flour tortillas only corn which I get, there location and fan base is selling were supposed to be sort of healthy. The place was empty, cool inside. We ordered a few different items. The asada fries - looks very presentable, but damn they apply a lot of salt. We couldn't even make a dent in them due to how salty they were. The meat was a little dry The asada protein bowl - it was okay, very presentable, the meat was dry, The chicken taquitos - comes in a box with 3 different sauces. You get what you paid for right. Asada taco - didn't take a pic of that one, but after unwrapping the taco, my 1st impression was grease and instantly reminded me of a jack in the crack tacos. My wife busted out laughing. It was good, crunchy, it's okay for at least 1. Overall, in my opinion I rank this place as it's one of those places that you'll give it a try and then tell them in kind words that "yeah we'll be back". But hey, work on selling more variety, and lose the fast food vibe.

Only thing this place has was the friendly staff. The place was empty during lunchtime on a Saturday. The taquitos however were subpar. I got the fully loaded nachos, 3 combo, (potatoes, shredded beef, and chicken), and horchata slush. The taquitos were not packed full of filling and the meat had no flavor to them. For the price of taquitos which works out to be $3 dollars a piece it was disappointing. The nachos was decent but pricey as well at $17. Horchata slushy was not good, it tasted more of a vanilla shake with a slight hint of cinnamon. If you have a taqueria that you get your taquitos from I would stick to that.
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel the need to share it. I came here for the first time today after seeing it on TikTok and regret it. My partner and I ordered beef, chicken, and potato taquitos with rice and beans, Hot Cheeto corn, fries, and a churro donut. The beef taquito was cold, the chicken was the only warm one, and the rice and beans were both cold and completely flavorless. The cashier also forgot the corn we ordered. After waiting, my partner asked for a refund and was told she didn’t know how to process one, which was confusing since we were the only customers there. When the donuts were made, mine was warm and probably the best item, but my partner’s was still cold. 😭 We spent $55, and for that price, I’d rather go to a nicer restaurant. This place did not live up to the hype.
