Opinions de Laredo Taqueria Houston
Always very tasty, great service, spicy sauce just like I like it, every time I go to Houston I try to stop by here, this time I brought my Mexican daughter and she loved it, we will definitely be back
I've been coming here since I was in my early 20s, over 25 years, and I can say it's impressive how for so many years the quality has been kept, and the customer service and people in the business are the same, excellent treatment, great food. A family business working all together towards one goal
Excellent food. Better than I expected. I usually don’t eat Mexican food outside the house because I hate being disappointed but Laredo’s is surprisingly delicious.
“The best authentic Mexican food around—well worth the drive. The food is consistently delicious, and the service is top-notch. Our waitress always remembers us and has our drinks and table ready.”
This place has some of the best tacos hands down. The chicharon con salsa verde was my all time favorite but I ordered 4 different types of tacos and they were all so good.
These are the best tacos I’ve ever had! I live in cypress and will drive to their restaurant, wait in the line that extends out of the building. Sooo worth it! Kudos! 🤩
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re from Houston and haven’t been here yet, you’re seriously missing out. This spot is a hidden gem! Everything is made from scratch — especially the homemade flour tortillas (they’re next level). I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and it’s always been consistently amazing. It’s family-owned, full of heart, and serves up some of the best tacos in Houston — hands down. Be prepared to wait during busy hours, but trust me, it’s totally worth it every time.
We hit this spot up a couple times a month as a work group for lunch. My advice, get there before 11:30am if going during the week as the lunch crowd gets big. There is usually a wait standing in line outside the building, but it has never taken more than 10 minutes to get in and order. The prices are great and the tacos are even better. The only down side is the limited parking...parking sucks. We have had to go elsewhere on a couple of occasions due to lack of parking, but if you can find a spot, it is a great place to eat.
Sure the line is long but it does go fairly quickly and inside is nice seating. The menu is simple and the food is so tasty!! For sure the best flour tortilla in Houston. I wish I had tried the corn tortilla! Spicy fajita filling was delicious. Beans added to any taco is the way to go! Worth it!
This place is delicious. Line out the door if you get here at a regular breakfast/lunch time. It moves quick, but there’s a line for a reason. Authentic Mexican experience. Almost every cut of meat you can ask for. Flour tortillas on point. Only been for breakfast, but will be back for lunch sometime soon. Use cash if you can. Help a small business out! 9.1/10. Recommend!!!
Legit tacos. The lines can get pretty long especially on the weekends. The line usually moves quickly and the food is worth the wait. The service is efficient and friendly. The tacos are made fresh in front of you as you order. The menudo is only available on the weekends and is a hot bowl of spicy deliciousness. The parking lot can also get pretty crowded on the weekends.
Dine here on several occasions and the tacos are affordable and considerably large in sizes. I've had the chicken mole, the fajita beef, spicy fajita and my personal favorite taco (barbacoa). I would say that the regular beef fajita, barbacoa and the chicken mole are the best on the menu. The food is amazing without a question and portions large enough that you will be full. The fresh tortillas are also excellent. They have amazing breakfast tacos and plates with agua frescas as well.
Some of the best tasting and value packed tacos you can find anywhere. A coworker took me here after I asked about the best Mexican food in Houston. Did not disappoint. The pork tacos are absolutely to die for. I should have ordered more, but three tacos is a full meal. It was my first time eating nopales and I’m sure I’ll be back for more. The only downside is the wait. During lunch hours, the line wraps around the building and you have to endure the Houston heat. Still, well worth it. Highly recommended!
Great food and service. tacos are very filling. Will become a regular. Hope to try the entire menu.

The best place in Houston for tacos lunch or breakfast. Long lines but they move quick.

If you’re craving authentic Mexican tacos, this spot definitely hits the mark. We tried the barbacoa, chicharrón, and fajita tacos, and all three were absolutely delicious — flavorful, tender, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the freshness in the meat. The aguas frescas were super refreshing and a perfect pairing with the tacos. The large size is generous — easily shareable between two people — and refills are only $2, which is a great deal. The chips and salsa were just okay. The salsa tasted good, but they only fill the salsa bowl less than a quarter of the way, which was a little disappointing. Overall, it was a good experience and we would definitely go back. Thankfully, we went around noon and were able to get in quickly before it got too busy.
Not all items on the menu are available. Too many items from the menu are unavailable like enchiladas or chile rellenos. Basically just tacos. The meats, fajita, barbacoa tastes great but the taco overall is dry, no cebolla or cilantro given in the taco. The salsas are too spicy to enjoy. Other item like cheese or aguacate are also unavailable. The servers are rude when customers are ordering. Plenty of parking and inside seating available. Overall I would not recommend, this is one of those one-time trips just to try it, type of place.
Solid spot for classic, no frills tacos. The handmade tortillas are fresh and the fillings; especially the barbacoa and picadillo are flavorful, though overall the food is simple and straightforward. Service is fast but rushed and not particularly friendly, so don’t expect a warm welcome. Great value for the price, but be prepared for long lines and a very casual experience.

Honestly, the tacos here are great—I’ve always thought this place had some of the best around. But I’ve got to be real: there’s this older guy behind the register maybe he’s the owner idk who just kills the vibe. He treats customers like he’s got some personal grudge, and it made me stop coming here for years. I actually gave them another shot, and it’s the same deal. So heads up: great tacos, but this one guy’s attitude is just not it. I really hope they figure out how to fix that.
The menu does not make it clear that you can get 3 of anything on a taco. 3 meats or 1 meat with rice and bean. You name it, 3 period. This is abnormal, as most places charge more for meat than toppings. Anyways, I realized that I could get rice on my taco when it was too late. In deliberation with the cashier, I thought he understood that I wanted the rice that would’ve been included with my taco to be on the side. Instead he charged me for a side of rice. There’s no screen or anything to see what you’re being charged for, just the raw price in green like old cash registers. No receipt either. I then asked why I was charged so high for two tacos and he accused me of saying I wanted a side of rice. When I literally only brought up getting rice bc I wanted the rice that would’ve came on my taco. Misunderstanding I guess, but I don’t like how he did not even leave the door open for the chance that there was a misunderstanding. Just said “you said you wanted a side of rice”. Never have I ever had words put in my mouth like that by a cashier, got me off guard, so I was not ready to defend myself…just went on my way since I had already paid. Also just bad energy overall from the line workers too. I could tell that if I didn’t speak Spanish, I was gonna get treated differently bc they were not welcoming me to come forward to take my order. They had already profiled me as a gringo not worthy of giving their energy to. I could have spoken Spanish but chose not to bc I shouldn’t have to prove myself worthy of decent customer service.
I've heard a lot of good things from this place so my expectations were really high. Nobody was standing outside, but bassoon as I walked in, the line was right there. The person behind me had to wait. Maybe 10 people in front of me if that but man, it took 23 minutes just to get to the lady. I placed my order 2 fajita tacos and 1 chicken tacos with beans on all 3 and a Mexican coke. $17. I did not know it was that expensive. When I placed the order, I told the lady to go. It was my first time here, and she made the tacos and put them in a basket. I told her to go and she got annoyed and I told her nevermind I'll just eat here. I grabbed my drink from the cooler and I sat down. There was a pile of dirty plates on a table infront of me. The lady picks it up and her finger was in the left over food. She turns around and asked me if I wanted a cup with ice I told her yes and she grabs what I thought was just a random dirty cup but it was a few cups with ice in them. She stuck her fingers in the cup to grab multiple cups at 1 time and left me one. She asked if I wanted my coke open and I told her no ill take it instead. I was grossed out that in under 10 seconds you had your fingers in somebody else's dirty plate and then brought me a cup. 1 and done with this place. Didn't live up to the hype all my coworkers would tell me about. Tacos were ok. Not enough for me to come back for.

Houston's Laredo Taqueria: Barbacoa Worth the Trip
Alright, Houston, let’s talk about a spot that’s been on my radar for a while: Laredo Taqueria. If you’re anything like me, you’ve got a soft spot for authentic Mexican flavors, and this place delivers on a key front: barbacoa. My first experience there, much like many others I’ve heard from, revolved around their barbacoa tacos. And let me tell you, it’s the real deal. The meat is consistently described as unbelievably tender and bursting with flavor. You can tell it’s been slow-cooked with c
