Opinions de Luigi's Pizzeria Houston
The restaurant was very good and I will be back again. Love the atmosphere and that it’s down town. Easy to get and plenty of parking. Love the fact that you can seat outside and enjoy the cold weather the heaters. I can’t wait to agin when it’s a little warmer. I did not drink I was on grandma duty later on that night but next time . Pizza very considering that I had to share a pizza with my son who only likes pepperoni and pineapple, but very good pizza overall.
I stopped here for the first time in 10 years. food is still awesome, good atmosphere too. I got to see Jose making the crusts and saucing them like a machine!! he smiled, waved, laughed, and said hi. Tell him "Rambito" said hi and it was great seeing the energy still here!!! well done!
A very great place with a lot of great items to choose from on the menu, staff here is very courteous and hard working from what I saw. The only thing that may need slight improvement is the response time in serving the food but I believe I probably showed up when there were a lot of people there and the line was quite long so I can understand how it may cause a potential backlog. Other than that, this place is wonderful with a nice garden in the back that it shares with the other restaurant in order for their customers to just relax enjoy the beautiful view of the sky and atmosphere of midtown. This place has my total endorsement.
Young hip vibes, delicious authentic food, plenty of drink offerings even though they were canned varieties. Salads and pizza all authentic honest ingredients and great portions! Only downside was indoor seating not suitable for littles, but after a while a picnic table outside opened up!
I was looking for a pizza place while in the Houston area, and came across this place. Went with some friends and split a supreme pizza. Service was quick, and the pizza was good! They also have a cool thing going with Axlerad, the bar next door, so you can go use their outdoor seating, and they have some really good outdoor seating! Parking is available on site, or right across the street. Excellent spot to go for good pizza, a nice atmosphere, and some excellent gelato!
The employee who helped me was friendly and the food was quick. It was also much better than I anticipated! The pepperoni was nice and thin and folded up just like good pizza should. The seasonings and meats on the Mexicana were a great blend. And the seating outside was cute and plentiful. Definitely a spot to check out if you are in the Midtown area. There was also a stage and bar available outside.
I loved visiting this place! The vibe was gr8. I guess they were having a movie night and a live band. This is my pizza place!
Luigi's pizza was phenomenal! The dough, the cheese, toppings - everything was perfectly balanced. The pizza was so good I ate an entire medium (12") in one sitting! I was a little disappointed some of my crust and underside of the pizza was burnt, but it didn't detract from the flavour. The place is small, but they have outdoor seating available if you can't get a spot inside. If I'm back in Houston I'd come back to this place in a heartbeat!
This should have been my 1st review, but hands down my favorite restaurant in Houston. I knew it back when they first opened and actually met Luigi (whose not Italian by the way, but Irish-but keep that between us). I mean way back when the sons and nephew ran the joint. It was the best pizza back then and while it's blown up as a late night good spot, the quality was a hair off, but still great. The backstory of the opening of Luigi's Midtown is a great story, full of love and passion-but I won't bore you with that. All you need to know is a the food is top tier from calzones, wings, sandwhiches, hand dipped gelato to pizza slices. I was a bit taken a back after haven't visited in several years, but it's just older, weirder but just as cool a vibe as I remember. I think I'll put it back on rotation with Axelrad next door for 2018.
If you sneeze you might miss it. Luigis is a diamond in the rough and is located right next to Axelrod. In fact, while it has its own entrance from the street, going through the outdoor seating of the bar next door will get you in just as well. (I ordered my drink, walked through the hammocks, ordered our pizza, and bynthe time we were settled, I got noticed that our pizza was ready!) As good as any Chicago pie, or NY slice, Luigis gets it right. I usually have to ask for a side of sauce (marinara) to supplement my pizza,, but they found the right balance between the toppings and sauce with a slightly crispy crust. I paired it with one of the micro-brews and was thoroughly satisfied. I highly recommend going for the local eats, and adding Luigis to your list. P.S. The gelato flavors offered could have used a little more variety, but what was offered was still de-lish and were nice scoops for the price,
The pizza here has always been on point with service also friendly and fairly quick. Given its proximity to Axelrad, you can pick up a pizza and enjoy with drinks from Axelrad to complement hangouts with friends. The Supreme pizza is a delicious choice and an easy recommendation to make.
I always love coming to this place. My friends all drink, but I don't, so while they're getting busy at Axelrad, I walk over here and grab a pizza and soda AND ICE CREAM. The pizza is always so delicious and their ice cream is almost always top notch and unique! Definitely recommend giving this place a try, I'm sure you'll love it! (:
Came here after a looong time for an early dinner. I love this place because of the patio and the fact that they have delicious slices. Parking was a bit easier since we came early. We got two slices of pizza and it didn’t take long. The slice was delicious, even my picky partner agreed it was delicious. The slices are huge and thin.
I've come here a few times and it's always good! I love getting the caprese pizza and the margherita pizza. Most recently, I had the large margherita pizza and shared it with two other people, and we still had 3 slices leftover! So for the price, this is a great deal! It's also nice that Axelrad and next door, so if you are craving some beer, you can take your pizza over and have both in their awesome outdoor area. I haven't had any of their other dishes (like pasta, wings), so I can't comment on those, but I definitely recommend getting pizza here.
Amazing atmosphere, great customer service, the owner and the employees are fantastic.Very caring, mindful, they are very considerate , pay attention to details and compassion about their work ♥️
Excellent place. Place was packed, yet a well oiled machine. Hospitality was superb, and the speed at which the seriously quick. Expecting a 30-45 min wait in our order to arrive, 15 mins it was at our table. Witnessed the same results with others that sat around us. The pie itself was wonderful. 16” half cheese half Caprese. Kids loved it and the gelato they have. Parking was a bit of an issue. Had to park down the street a little ways. They have security patrolling the areas where their guests are parking. Neighboring Axelrads Beer Garden, help provide extra ambiance outside. They have live music Wednesday - Sundays.
Luigi’s is one of my favorite pizza spots. I typically go there when I’m at the neighboring bar-Axel Rad. However, I had time to visit on break in between seeing clients. I love the pizza options, and the pizza is fresh!! There are options for vegetarians as well. I had the cheese and margarita slices.
cecilia told me i smelled good and she was so cute and awesome. im only rating high because of her, the beeper doesnt work and pizza sometimes takes a while. cool decor!
I did not intend to go to this restaurant at first. I was trying to go to the coffee shop next door but it was cold and raining outside so I decided to go to Luigis instead. I was very surprised to find a really good pizzeria kind of like New York style pizzas and calzones and they even have gelato, the food was delicious. They have plenty of outdoor seating but very little indoor seating they’ve got outdoor heaters in next-door there’s a bar with a bunch of hammocks and interesting patio. This is a fun place to go to with friends and buddies to hang out and enjoy some Italian food pizza lasagna or calzones with gelato for dessert.
The ingredients were very fresh and taste good. I ordered the Mexicana and they were amazing. The mix meat has great flavor that combines well with the pizza. The atmosphere was also amazing, considering they're located right next to Axelrad. It's a little bit pricey, but thr quality of the food does justify it. And they do serve multiple options as well. It's definitely a great pizzeria, I would definitely be coming back here.
Luigi's vs Frank's: I started the day with Luigi's, then went over to Franks later in the day to compare. I really love Frank's but Luigi wins. Wife and kids tested and verified. This is the best pizza in Houston. I was a little upset about how it took 10 minutes to tell me they were out of cannolis. Other than that, service was good and friendly. I'm a firm believer that pizza makes the taste, not the service and you can judge a pizza by its cover.
I always forget how good the pizza is here and it’s not because it’s the only food close to Axelrad. They also have excellent service and I watched the staff keep their cool during Game 6 of the World Series. The beeper went off at wrong times, but really that wasn’t even the slightest bit of issue. If you do take out food to eat at Axelrad you will not be given any boxes to go and instead a round cardboard or paper plates. We also ordered wings. They have gelato, but we didn’t order it this time. They have picnic tables outside under a tin roof awning. It’s small inside with a table or two and a bathroom. They have a small dirt parking lot and you can park on the street also.
Luigi's Pizzeria is a culinary haven for pizza enthusiasts, offering an extensive menu that caters to every craving. From delectable wings to mouthwatering pizza and satisfying calzones, this restaurant boasts a variety that promises to tantalize your taste buds. The Margherita pizza, with the delightful addition of chicken, was a culinary masterpiece. The crust achieved that perfect balance between crispiness and doughy goodness, providing a sturdy foundation for the medley of flavors that followed. The simplicity of the Margherita combined with the savory twist of chicken made each bite a journey into pizza perfection. But Luigi's is not just about pizza; their wings are a showstopper. Whether you prefer them saucy or crispy, the variety of wing options ensures there's something for every palate. The wings are a testament to the kitchen's commitment to delivering not just a meal but a memorable dining experience. The calzone, another gem on the menu, showcases Luigi's versatility. Stuffed with savory goodness, the calzone is a handheld delight that brings together all the elements of a satisfying meal in each bite. In conclusion, Luigi's Pizzeria is a go-to destination for a culinary adventure. The wide variety of menu options, from wings to pizza and calzones, caters to diverse preferences. Whether you're a pizza purist or someone seeking bold flavor combinations, Luigi's delivers on all fronts. Each dish is a testament to their dedication to quality and a commitment to making every dining experience truly amazing.
So Luigi's Pizza is definitely higher up on the top 10 Houston Pizza restaurants. Since grading pizza is so subjective I have applied a little structure to "Pizza Thursday" that helps YOU make up your own mind about this establishment. The grading is 1-5... with 5 being the best or most. Crust Thickness - 2 moderately thin, but perfect NY style crust Crust Flavor - 5 tasty with perfect shape and edge Cheese amount and elasticity - 5 had proper amout of stretch and well proportioned Topping quantity - 5 excellent quantity and dispersion Sauce Quantity - 2 perfect for NY style pizza and just enough for what I like Sauce Flavor - 5 very nice Atmosphere Cleanliness - 5 simple pizza joint, nothing special or polished.. good music and if you're inside there are a half of a dozen tables and a tv to watch Atmosphere noise level - 5 very quiet and easy to have a conversation Day After - 4 it kept well and was still really good. Comments: overall I grade Luigi's at a solid 4.5 out of 5. The only downside was the side salad I ordered. The Styrofoam box was too small to properly add dressing and mix without making a mess. But don't let that deflect from the pizza... The Alameda location is perfect for sit down as well as take-out. There was a soda fountain and dessert choices as well. With Axelrad next door, and just adjacent to the HCC campus I'm sure they do a good pizza by the slice business for lunch (very affordablepizza by the slice). The Pizza was very good, and worthy of return visits. I grabbed a menu for delivery as well since it's only a few blocks from home.
Love, love, love this place! I usually get the caprese pizza and the ingredients are always fresh and delicious. Not a lot of seating indoors but there is covered outdoor seating or you can go sit at Axel Rad's beer garden next door. Great for large groups or just 2. And make sure you leave room for their gelato!
Pizza was good, got a meatball pie, the "italian ice" isn't real Italian ice, uys just gellato, still tastes good tho, hammocks outside and huge area. Pretty fast service. Only one bathroom inside. Pretty cool decor, recently started School over here so i figured I'd check it out. Will attend again.
Great food tasted so fresh & hot! Kind of small in lobby area. But the patio is huge! And it's in the same exact area as a bar. So it was great for everyone. Adults and my teen! And yes I will be going back! I recommend it to everyone!
Edit: August 2025 -- They went back to the old dough!! And, it's back on top - pizza was crisp, full of flavor, and freshness. Also tried the french fries which were amazing. Only one side note: my friend ordered the fries as a vegan option, so was disappointed to find a few chicken crumbs at the bottom - if a separate oil vat for fries or note can be made on the menu - I think those with dietary restrictions would be grateful. Other than that, will definitely be back - the girl at the register and guy with the curly hair working on 08.03.25 were very accomodating and friendly. 5/5 - thank you Luigi's for making it right!! This place used to be great. Spent over $50 for 2 pizzas. Neither of which were great, but the larger one was nothing more than a frozen bad grocery store pizza. No flavor whatsoever - couldn’t even finish it. Felt like a prime example of wasting money which is a cardinal sin in these days. I remember the pico de gallo topping being amazing and vibrant - this go round it was so skimpy hardly any diced tomatoes or onions and just few super spicy, poorly chopped jalapeños. Dough tasted bland as well. I’m just upset having spent this and barely enjoyed it.
Stopped by Luigi’s Pizzeria in Midtown for lunch and grabbed their supreme calzone—only $10, what a steal! It was super fresh, stuffed to the brim with all the supreme fixings (pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and cheese). The crust was perfectly crispy, and the flavors were on point. Great value and a lively atmosphere. Definitely coming back for more!
We've been here once before and passed through all the time. This time, we picked up. One meatball sub and their fan pick lasagna. Both deliciously made and a good price. I wish they would bring back their calzones. This place is a really cool spot to hangout and enjoy some good food from a local business. Enjoy!!!
It was really yummy! I got the medium size to share, and everything was really balanced out! The crust was yummy, just the right amount of sauce, cheese and pepperoni ☺️ The food was ready surprisingly quickly, and there’s a lot of fans out in the patio so it felt cool despite the Houston weather! Overall, a good place to eat!
I am glad that the quality had not changed from when I first tried it in 2009ish. The pizza is nice in thin but you can still taste the crust and sauce. There is the right amount of toppings and cheese as well. All that plus a very reasonable price for a huge slice of fresh made pizza. We also tried the cheesesteak for the first time and were not let down. It’s almost like a poboy break with the crunch crust but soft center. They have parking as well which is awesome. I have no complaints at all!

It's all about the crust. Absolutely the BEST!! The atmosphere is great, laid back and able to sit outside if preferred. The Gelato is an amazing way to cap off the awesome pizza.

This pizzaria has been in Houston for at least a decade, but they recently joined with Axel Rad's open outdoor area. It still has great pizza's. Indoor seating is very limited and it's become a bit trendy and crowded. But, the outdoor seating is covered and has large industrial fans to help cool guest. Guest may also take their pizza into the Axel Rad courtyard and Luigi's will take it to your courtyard table, if you ask.
Really enjoyed the cinnamon toast crunch gelato! It was delicious! The blueberry Cobbler getlato was good but had an unexpected lemon taste. The supreme pizza was good, but not the best. Its thin crust. Overall, really convenient spot to get a bit to eat if youre drinking and watching a show at AxelRad
Fresh good food, great large covered outdoor patio with fans...the eating area inside is small. Also shares a large outdoor area with axelrad a hammick bar. The Food took a while to come out but we werent disappointed, for two people w drinks expect to pay a little over 20 bucks. All in all, We will be back again!
Recommend the bread sticks, so crunchy and pillowy on the inside. I had a margherita slice, fresh basil. crust is phenomenal on its own, you can smell it from the parking lot. The pepperoni 🍕 was so good, not greasy and the cheese to sauce ratio was good. The gelato was just ok. Laid back pizzeria. Edit: the only thing that would make this better would be real plates and tables with chairs outside; instead of picnic tables.
Nice pizza place close to Axelrad, even if it wasn't for axelrad I would still come here for the pizza. They serve gelato and food as well. Pizza is good to ok quality, not bad but not my first choice.
I came here for the first time on a Friday night. I tried 3 of their specialty slices. My total was around 24 bucks or so. My favorite slice was the buffalo chicken. I’d get a whole pie of that. The bbq brisket to me was just ok. The Philly was good but could’ve used more meat. Next time I want to try the fajita slice with steak and chicken. I typically am a cheese slice kind of guy, but I wanted to see what they had to offer. It is a small place if you plan to dine in. I’m not pressed to go back, but I’m sure I will try again at some point. I’d encourage everyone to give it a try if you haven’t!
Pizza was amazing. Got a thin crust medium pepperoni and the flavor was great. It tasted very fresh and I really enjoyed the crust - super flaky and crunchy. The fries were crispy too and seasoned very well. The lasagna however…it was definitely a miss for me. It didn’t taste like lasagna in my opinion, more like very mushy pasta with an overly creamy sauce. Not my fave. It took about 40 minutes after we ordered to get our food items, the workers seemed very overwhelmed with all the orders. It was a Friday night, and very busy with Axelrad customers next door. I paid $46 for the three items listed. Would probably just get pizza and fries next time.
We remember when this place was just starting. While the flavors have not changed, the variety in their menu has increased substantially. Many improvements to the building and staffing infrastructure have been made, so the family-owned feel has been lost a little. However, it still remains a local and one of our favorite places to come for savory thin pizza and calzones. In the backyard, there is an open plaza and stage with or for live music. Hammocks and access to other interesting establishments serving alcohol are also available from the backyard. Overall, it continues to be a great place but it should improve its focus on neatness and cleanliness.

It's all in the food. Good pizza and crispy crust. ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. Drink selection is average. Service is fine/adequate.
Not really impressive. The best thing was the free parking. Tastes like a frozen pizza warmed up. The outdoor seating was nice but that's it. Soda machine wasn't working. The Service was ok .

Good food. Pizza was amazing. Will definitely go back for the pizza wings were ok. Nice add on is there is a beer pub next door. Ambiance was also awesome.
This has to be the place to be on Friday nights. Yes, parking spots are a challenge to find, but it is worth the hunt. The atmosphere is lively and attracts the cool, quirky, hipster type of crowd. T…
First trying this place. It's a small place with only 2 tables to sit at & 2 chair bar area. They're tables outside under a covered area. ALSO, the place didn't look that clean. I ordered half Mexican pizza, half pepperoni. Although the pizza tasted fine. The Mexican half tasted nothing!! like a Mexican pizza. The only Mexican thing about it was, it had cilantro on it. It was just a veggie pizza with cilantro. BUMMER! I think this place could be awesome with just a few adjustments. 1.CLEANER 2.FLAVOR 3.CRUST IS BLAND.
When you pull up you are met with a cool mural on the side of the building. One kf the main draws to this pizza spot is that it connects to Axelrad beer garden through a patio door. The interior dining space is limited but a great vibe. The outdoor patio has plenty of seating to accomodate anyone stopping in or passing through after a few drinks. The service was pretty solid, the staff were friendly. I would say that the pizza is overpriced for how it tastes. The pizza came out and looked great but tasted average. For less money for 2 slices, you'd get much better flavor and more interior seating elbow room at Frank's Pizza. The fountain soda taste pretty good. Overall the meal was a B level but the price brought it down slightly to about C+. If you had a few drinks in you, I am certain this pizza would be heavenlyz but completely sober I'd have to say it pleases the eyes more than the mouth.
Luigi’s Pizzeria offers a cozy, comforting environment to grab a diverse array of Italian treats. Customer service was good, and staff whipped up our order quite fast. In terms of the actual pizza and salad though, the experience felt a bit lackluster. I tried the Philly Cheesesteak with a Baby Luigi’s salad. They both lacked real flavor until we doused them in red chilly flakes and parmesan cheese and even then, they both seemed like overpriced items for the experience we had. I’m curious to go back and try different toppings to see if that would make a difference, since the sauce and crust were quite good.
Got takeout from here, wasn't too impressed with the pizza given the price. Tried Mexicana & Supreme, I thought the Mexicana had pretty unique flavors. Just average pizza.

Very disappointed at the wait time for my order, I placed the order 8:50pm. Traditionally they take around 30 minutes. I go to pick up my order at around 9:30pm and am told my order was never made. I waited around an hour and ten minutes for my order. Then told the gate is closed and I need to walk around axelrod because I didn't arrive on time at 10:02pm. Staff treated me poorly like I placed an order at the last minute when it was their mistake. I like luigi's pizza but y'all really could have done more to make this right. Pizza was excellent but I still shouldn't have to wait this long for everything and treated like it my fault when clearly it was their mistake.
I usually have a good experience here, but tonight was just not it. I ordered only a simple medium 12” cheese pizza and a calzone, but after an hour, I still didn’t get my food. Apparently there was an issue with the buzzer, and they ended up having to remake my order. The order was obviously rushed, and my items were still a bit doughy. I only ate the food because I had gotten so hungry after waiting for so long. It’s disappointing, but I don’t think I will be coming back here. I don’t know what happened, but Luigi’s is not worth it anymore.
I was really hoping to love this spot since so many Houstonians rave about Luigi’s Pizzeria. The positives are they answered the phone right away to take my order and my order was out within the 15-20 minute frame. Now the gentleman taking my call asked me to repeat my pizza order 3 times and the pizza still came out wrong. $22.50 for a pizza that was made wrong and was basically flavorless is way too pricey. Mozzarella sticks tasted frozen and were by far the worst. Sadly I do not plan to give this spot anymore business. Still on the look for the best pizza in Houston!
I'm not sure if we had a bad visit. Found this place on a thursday special. The pizza was very crispy even though it wasnt the thin one. It was warm yet SUPER DRY. The brisket was a disgrace. Not only was it only cubed with only a couple bites, but it was dry and hard. I was expecting Shredded not blocks. It was a major let down. The pizza sauce is good, its not too sweet and good seasoning. Cannoli's were cute since they're very small and tasty. We also got a special cut on the pizza
Food is good. However service was terrible. We ordered a pasta which said came with a side salad or garlic bread. The guy asked if we wanted a salad or fries so we asked if he didn't have garlic bread. He very rudely responded "dude I gave you two choice you have to pick fries or a salad". This totally ruined the vibes and I don't think we will be coming back.
It took 25 minutes after ordering to get a single slice of very mediocre, greasy pizza with not much flavor to it. I feel like it was once better.
Used to be so much better. The pizza dough tasted like saltine crackers, the flavor super bland. The young lady up front does not care because the customers will come anyway. No smiles, no friendly greeting, just a stressed, "what can I get you". To be honest, if it weren't for the neighbor, where you can take your pizza out back and eat there, I would give the atmosphere 1 star. Came here 3 or 4 times, wont be coming back anytime soon.

I started coming here after my husband cousin start coming here. I came here all the time I spent all my time here with my family at least 10 times or more. But after 12/18/2018 I will never come here again. I walked in the place and it smelled like the place was on fire. The cashier said my order wasn't ready and it would be 2 more minutes. I said okay when in fact on the phone she said 20-25 minutes on the phone it was past this time. My white pizza took a whole additional 15-20 minutes. I asked for gelato in a cup for two different flavors she said she couldn't do it like that. I always get it like that it took her 5 whole minutes to scoop gelato in a cup so I just sat down and waited. I overheard the cashier tell the cook she is waiting for her pizza he say's and. 5 minutes later he calls me up and I actually had to reach for the pizza from his hand he didn't come up all the way to the pick-up window and had the nerve to roll his eyes. The pizza is ice cold while the breadsticks are hot, and now what does that tell you. The pizza is burnt and my husband and kids says pizza is nasty doesn't taste the same what happened to the butter there isn't any butter.
I went to this place last Saturday after Astros’s game. It was very disappointed for the first time. The dough really looked and tasted as frozen dough that you buy at the supermarket to make your own pizza, and even made me sick. I’m still battling that. Unfortunately because was a great place to go after the games…
This tall light skin fellow they had working the register was extremely rude and made an unnecessary comment saying it went through when I was checking the out…. Is this how you train your workers to treat your customers?
Ordered a large supreme togo. Crust was stale and flavorless and toppings were lacking. We use to get this pizza all the time. Won’t be back.
Went in placed an order for chicken wings, I waited 24min when the same girl that took my order asked me for my order number. SHE NEVER PUT MY ORDER IN I WASN'T THE ONLY. SHE GAVE I GUY PEPPERONI PIZZA WHEN HE ORDERED CHEESE OH THE OTHER LADY SHE ORDERED A SLICE OF PIZZA FOR CRYING OUT LOUD she did put that in either do not go here the service is awful. I have to give a star to post because they don't deserve that
I ordered pizza today for lunch in a hurry I didn’t check my pizza. Got to the office hungry and saw this. I called Luigi’s Pizzeria to ask did they check my order because my pizza was burnt. They told me I had to bring the pizza back in before they would give me my money back or make me another pizza. Ok so you checked this pizza and gave me a burnt pizza, she said when she checked it, the manager it wasn’t burnt. Don’t go for lunch the manager doesn’t know what a burnt pizza looks like.
They're usually my spot to go to after class. But this time it was a very rude and unwelcoming experience. I walked in stood at the counter and waited almost 10 mins without anyone coming up to the register. Employees kept staring at me and walking away when I was stare back at them. One lady straight up ignored me when I said excuse me. I dont know what their deal is but obviously they were not in the mood to work today.
Honestly disappointed with Luigi’s, was my go to pizza place but I’ve been wronged by them three times in a row. First time was when axel rad had a RBD event, I was literally unable to park or physically get my pizza and I asked them for credit for a pizza at a later time; I called them instantly so it wasn’t like the pizza was made. As a matter of fact they told me my pizza would take a long time since they were so busy but refused to give me a credit; they’re usually a bit rude there but I always just think it’s bc they’re so busy so that’s fine but none of the workers are nice. Recently my door dash orders have been awful. They never seem to have lasagana which is fine but man they do not let you know and go as far as “confirming and preparing” order without telling you until your order arrives to your home (I have all my receipts to prove they never attempted to notify me or door dash) Last item I got was a Philly cheesesteak and it was the worst ever. Bread was way to hard and toasted (not fresh at all) I had to add Mayo lettuce green peppers and onion at home to make it edible because it straight up was just hard bread with dry cheese and dry meat. Unfortunately never will be giving Luigi’s my business and will forever let everyone know my experience whenever people go to axel rad. Oh! Also the pizza is alright but they just place toppings on your pizza they don’t actually bake it like that so all the toppings will fall right off. ** I do not want anyone from that place to reply and ask me to email, I never want anything to do with that business and nothing will make it right. Unless you change your entire Philly cheesesteak recipe and make it edible.
I’m still on hold..to place an order. Eventually ended up hanging up after 15 minutes. Lady picked up the phone and said you can only order through door dash but there not on door dash. Even so when you click on order through Google Maps, it directs you to Luigi’s website where you can’t even place an order after adding items to your cart. No other option is available. Was hoping to try out there gluten free crust pizzas even at a staggering $56 dollars. But wasn’t even able to finish my order online nor when I called as I’m still on hold cause she went to go get the manager… it’s now been 15 minutes as I write this..
If I could give this place zero stars, I would! This biggest reason to recommend this spot is that you don't want to drink at Axelrod's on an empty stomach. They should have a more welcoming attitude if they're going to serve food this bad! My friends said the pizza was THE BOMB -- I only saw it, and it looked like a HUGE Totinos. They've got this weird this with NO PIZZA BOXES! But worse, be prepared for a WAIT. A lady ahead of me had been waiting when I got there...AND was still waiting when I left!! I cooled my jets for over 15 minutes for a Build Your Own Pasta. I can't tell what I waited for because it was lukewarm, soupy and unappealing, soo 🤔?? I ordered spaghetti with Alfredo, ground beef and spinach. Look at my photo and see if YOU can spot the beef! You shouldn't need a jeweler's loop! The spinach that they charged me $1 extra wasn't any better! The Alfredo sauce tasted like Velveeta, and the pasta was so gummy that I coughed down my first bite! My friends LITERALLY had to pat me on the back for me to choke it down. Finally, the (cold) garlic bread tasted like a Hawaiian roll. My friend said he tasted a HINT of garlic, but NO. Also, if there was butter, I didn't find it. Oh, and it was soggy! In short, this was a $17 dollar insult, wrapped in disappointment!
