Opinions de Mazajj Organic Coffee Houston
Such a lovely and cozy place! The coffee is rich and aromatic, and the tea is absolutely wonderful. We ordered two large teapots for a group of five — more than enough, and everything was delicious. The pastries and desserts are truly amazing — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The service is friendly, polite, and attentive, which makes you feel really welcome. The place is clean, cozy, and has a very pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. Thank you so much — we’ll definitely be back and will happily recommend this place to friends! ☕🍰
First of all this has all the culture vibes. It is a middle eastern Yemeni style coffee shop. It has cute decor and the perfect size for a coffee shop. You can order at the front or use their touch pad to order. They have a variety of choices and pastries. I got the iced pistachio matcha and Wow 🤯 it tasted like a latte but more so of the pistachio flavor with the after taste. It’s sweet and nutty. I throughly enjoyed this Matcha. 🍵 costed around $7. I saw some people ordered pastries and the more traditional type coffees. They were presented very aesthetically with a cute tray and the whole traditional pot. The only thing I was disappointed in is that the pastries may change daily because I did not see the knafeh dome shaped dessert listed but I’ve seen photos in other reviews. I would most definitely come here again to try some other things!
I wish I lived in Houston so I could come here more often!! The service was great and the food was even better. I got the pistachio latte 10/10, pistachio matcha 9/10, and the pistachio tres leches 9.5/10. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely stop by again.
One of the best Arabic cafe in Houston. Their yemeni teas and fruit sweets are perfect. Pistachio tres leches is also good. Definitely come back ro try those Dubai chocolates pistachio shakes as well.
They make one of my favorite lattes in Houston, if not my favorite. The Spiced Sweet Latte is amazing with double espresso, milk, cardamom, cinnamon, and syrup. It is the best! Their feta spinach roll is also quite tasty! They always have savory and sweet pastries in stock. Love it here, super kind service and easy parking as well.
I am a coffee lover, but I’ve always wanted to try a good matcha. The first matcha I had a few years ago tasted like grass so I’ve never gave it a chance again until I visited this place. I tried their iced pistachio matcha latte, AMAZING. Perfect balance of sweetness. Atmosphere is great. Their Dubai chocolate is a must. I came here back to back days lol is that good!
The place is very nice, the decor is simple and cozy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The Dubai Chocolate milkshake was very good, we also ordered the iced chocolate, the iced lotus latte, the white mocha latte, the pistachio latte which also were very good. The mango smoothie was a bit thin, would have liked it thicker. The lotus tres leches was pretty good. The pistachio tres leches was good. I was not much a fan of the honeycomb bread but it was ok overall.
Been here a few times. Their Adeni chai always tastes great and they adjust the sweetness to your level. They also offer a variety of pastries, dessert, and light snack such as mini pizzas. I also tried their Dubai chocolate. The kunafa filling inside was good but the chocolate exterior is way too hard usually. The refrigerator they keep it in hardens it too much so you have to wait till it warms up a bit to be able to eat it without breaking a tooth lol. I’d probably rate it a six out of ten. Not the best Dubai chocolate and also not the worst. Their chai never misses though. Always amazing each time, the pastry’s and desserts are good half the time and average the other half. Nice cozy vibes and spacious place to study. Good WiFi strength if you need to wfh ad well. Noise level is also very low usually, and it isn’t packed much on the weekends. It does get really chilly though so layer up if you get cold easily. Overall great place to grab your chai fix and/nice, quiet, and spacious area to group/self study or work. Highly recommend checking it out and trying the Adeni chai!
I came on a Friday to try a Cortado honestly better than Starbucks then I brought My Husband to try the dessert on Saturday Amazing!!!
We enjoyed our first visit to this Yemeni coffee oasis. The hot cappuccino with two splendas was made to perfection. My wife said her iced mocha drink with a shot of espresso was the best coffee she'd had in a while. I tried and enjoyed a slice of honeycomb bread with melted hunks of cheese, came with a container of honey....very tasty. Great friendly service. Open Christmas day. We picked up an iced coffee drink and a hot cappuccino for road. They're always friendly and drinks are made well.
Food was really nice. Service was great. Ordered Pistachio Latte. First time having it. Was delicious but the Coffee was not that hot. 😔 Also if you guys can make the place bit more nicer, and put some curtains for the window to cover the sun shade that will be a plus for you guys. Highly recommend this place will be coming regularly to this place.

The gentleman in the front new it was my first time. I told him that I came because startbucks was here before and id give them a try. He was so kind and said the first one was on the house even after I insisted to pay. Very nice of him and the company.

Very spacious neat space. Its self serve! I wish there was more less sugary pastry options.
Amazing experience! The coffee and chai at Mazajj Organic Coffee are rich and flavorful, blending authentic Yemeni tradition with modern vibes. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious pastries make it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. Highly recommend!
Best pistachio latte I ever had. The pastries were delicious. Also had the Mazajj latte was so good and coffee was made with impeccable beans.
Look i never come in the mornings because there are two girls who I feel like they don't give the service like they should. Also they kinda hide in back on there phones i don't know there names but not good service. And I LOVE ❤️ THIS PLACE!!!! since it opened there drinks are really good. But won't be coming in the mornings anymore... So now i always go after work. I like it better when the girl with glass she a little short i think her name is Vivian if I believe that's her name she is fantastic 😀 she gives great service every time, always with a smile 😃...I go for there smoothie 😋 yum!!! There pizza is amazing!! And there strawberry cups my son loves them!!!...I also love there Dubai Chocolate cake and chocolate 🍫!!!...MUST TO COME HERE!!!!...
Mazjj organic coffee has always gone above and beyond, from the moment you walk in they greet you , to making your coffee with love and care. I enjoy the pleasant atmosphere, and the good vibes. Hint the name of the shop. My favorite Yemeni style is the Qshir, perfect herbal tea with lots of health benefits. Thank you Mazjj for keeping it real.
The latte’s here was so good and it’s a nice place to sit and get work done. The cake was also great but the Spinach pastry that we got was awful, we couldn’t even take a second bite :( Update: Went here again for a work day and this is the second time they were out of Red Velvet Latte. Plus the bathrooms are super dirty here.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. This is a brand new locally owned business located on Richmond off of Chimney Rock. Great presentation, my wife loved the hazelnut latte. Very quiet and just bright enough. Plenty of sunshine in here during the day. College students are studying with their coffee and tea! Very Nice!
The atmosphere and decor here is very nice and welcoming. I ordered the Chai coffee and some other kind as well as the Dubai chocolate. The coffees weren’t as sweet as I wanted them to be, but it still tasted good.
I love this place it is my favorite coffee spot. Now the only reason I’m giving it 4/5 stars is because I ordered a iced Mazajj sweet latte and did not get a full cup how I usually do so I am a little sad about that, but other than that love this place !
Great atmosphere. Clean and high quality interior design. Music is not too loud to allow some work/study. Coffee and chai were good. I’m sure this place is partially famous because they have the viral “Dubai Chocolate”. $6 a piece here - which is overpriced, but that’s not cafe’s fault. I was disappointed by the taste. But at least you are able to taste it without going to Dubai… And the service was not great - unfortunately there is only 1 cashier, who is also preparing all the drinks/desserts. It took 25min to get a coffee and a cake - that’s not ok.

Solid coffee spot - plenty of seating, open interior with natural light There’s only charge ports in a couple areas and the interior didn’t feel the most clean when I visited. There were crumbs from prior visitors.
For the city that sets Adeni chai standard, theirs was just. not. good. Not strained well. Honeycomb slice bread was also not fresh and falling apart :( It was early morning so maybe it was yesterday’s batch. Hopefully just an off day, but will probably not try again.
This place is stunning! They invested a significant amount of money to create a modern atmosphere. I visited around late morning when the venue was pleasantly empty. The hazelnut iced coffee was exceptional, and the lotus tres leches cake was out of this world. While my bill was on the higher side, the quality of the coffee made it worth it. I probably won’t always come here due to the prices, but I plan to return. P.S. It’s mind-boggling to see people littering cigarette butts; it’s utterly disgraceful.

Friendly staff, but wow. See pictures. How is what I was served an avocado toast compared to what was advertised? Cheap white bread and overcooked egg that looks premade and heated. The crushed red pepper is also old. And my first impression of the pistachio latte? It tastes like steak. I tried the Biscoff iced latte which was recommended as the favorite, and it also tastes like old grease and has a gluey mouthfeel. It must be the syrup that’s old or the milk base they use. I can’t help but feel defrauded by the advertising. Completely catfished. And the drinks themselves are so… bad, and that’s being kind. So two stars is being generous. The service is super slow, one of the women has the phone in her hand most of the time. Does that mean my toast was made with hands that kept touching the phone? Some comfy seats but it’s frigid inside even with a poncho (I think they keep it in the 60s - why in November?), super loud inside even with just a handful of people because of the sounds ringing off the concrete walls, and there’s no music to tamp it down. Seriously disappointed. Edit: I see that the business replied. There’s no clarification I need to provide on why expectation vs reality had a mismatch. The standard to aim for is the avocado toast that was advertised; just make an effort to serve that. And disclose what you’re doing differently since the review. I also see that the $9 for avocado toast and latte advertising is still up. Until I see another review with an improved offering or the false advertising removed, this is a 1-star place in my view. It’s one thing for no one to have called out catfishing and another thing for the catfishing to continue despite being called out. I will not be visiting this business again and respectfully decline any further exchange.
