Amazing food and great service! The flavors were authentic, portions generous, and the staff super friendly. Highly recommend the mango sticky rice. Will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service. Mark was very hospitable. My favorite is pad thai noodles, there are delicious. Must try
I’m a very picky eater but this place was amazing! I will definitely be back for the crab cream cheese wontons and chicken fried rice! 10/10
Amazing Thai restaurant in the centre of Houston. I had a fresh summer rolls - very nice flavour and good hard shape. I had to try their green curry - this was really nice, strong and rich - great flavour altogether. Service was amazing, fast and always smiling. Restaurants clean and in good spot. Easily recommended to everyone.
Visiting Houston from Boston MA, it was 105 degrees out and I was craving Thai food so came here. The reviews are great so I had to get the chicken pad Thai and orange chicken. 100 out of 10 stars. Also got the veggie spring rolls and the crab and cream cheese roll also 100 out of 10. And the fried rice was the best I ever had. Also they were bumping some awesome music on the speakers. Staff was friendly. Place is amazing.
I dropped in after a day downtown, the food and service was great!! The Massaman curry was super good, I ended up taking some appetizers to go that were good too. The staffe as also super friendly, loved the music.
For VEGETARIANS: Amazing Thai food, one of the best I’ve tried in Houston. Very accommodating to dietary restrictions and able to customize order to try original meat dishes with a vegetarian option. Food tastes delicious and hearty, staff is friendly, and atmosphere is cozy. Becoming my go to Thai food restaurant.
Great red curry. Good service. Atmosphere typical of Thai restaurants inside the restaurant. I’ll probably make this my preferred spot when leaving work after or during rush hour.
This was one of great Thai place visited. Chef let me try a sample of curry before ordering big portions. The flavors are very fresh and comforting. I gotten the Panag Curry and Drunken noodles.
I absolutely love this place! I’ve been to many Thai restaurants in the Houston area and this one is hands down best. The atmosphere and service is incredible especially when you come here so often it’s amazing how they will remember you and build a relationship with you. The food is always of course delicious with such flavor. When you do come here be prepared to eat! Portion sizes of each dish is so grand you really do get your bang for your buck. I recommend this establishment to all my friends and family and I hope you try it too so you can do the same!
I just placed an order for takeout and was really pleased with the service. I placed the order at the counter and had my food within ten minutes, packed nicely to go. One thing I don’t like is the tip prompt for takeout counter orders, but I guess that’s everywhere nowadays so it’s not that surprising. I ordered the spicy beef salad and it was soooo delicious. Veggies were super fresh, steak was decent quality with good flavor, and dressing was spicy, garlicky, fish sauce with sweet and sour, cilantro and mint. Great dish!
Today I celebrated my Birthday in this amazing restaurant! 1st they accommodate a dish for my picky eater son 😁 , second, we had the pleasure to eat our favorite dish, the service from all three of the personnel gave us a very personal service! With a great conversation, Luis surprised me with an out of this world desert for my Birthday 🎂 they made my day!
Really enjoyed our delivery of curry & pad kee mao. The mango rice was great, too - refreshing. Everything was flavorful & prepared with the alterations requested.
I just tried NUA Thai for the first time and it was so good! I ordered the shrimp Pad See Ew, crab cream cheese roll, and Thai tea and all were great! I got the medium spice level which was still pretty spicy but I enjoyed it. I ordered carry out but noticed that the restaurant was nice and had a great ambience. I will definitely be returning. UPDATE: 8 months later and I’m still in love with this place. My last order was so good that I came to write another review forgetting that I’d already written one!
Service and food were amazing. Worth the trip for great Thai food. Pad Thai was great with thin flat noodles and the spice was right. If you get Thai hot, you'd better be ready for it. I got hot and it was properly HOT (spicy).
Always good, Their curry is excellent. Tom yum creamy, hot pot, is delicious. Portion size is not bad, a little small, which just means you have room for the appetizer😄. Today I had the Ka Pow Kai. Very similar to what I remember from when I was in thailand. If you like thai food, you will not be disappointed.
The food was really good. It's a little fusion of Thai with other Asian cuisines. I only tried one dish so I can't speak for all items. I got the Garlic and Pepper dish. The portion size was very good with lots of great flavor. I had to request additional fried garlic, and then it was perfect. They still need to work on the smell inside, apparently the plumbing had issues.
We’ve been going here since moving to the area! I ordered takeout while at work & when I called to tell them they forgot things in our order, the owner was so nice and came to deliver it themselves at my job! Food is consistently good and I’m happy with the service everytime.
Very nourishing and delicious food. Had red curry, drunken noodles, and larb. Customer service was phenomenal and friendly. Shout out to Alex, Tina, and Frank. Also to the kitchen staff for a quick meal !
I stopped in with some friends since I moved into midtown. I live Thai food and this spot did not disappoint. I’ll start with the appetizers. The chicken satay was okay and the Brussels sprouts were delicious but on the saucier side if you’re not a big fan of saucy dishes. The kao soi kah slapped and I will definitely recommend that one if you’re here for your first time. The pad Thai was pretty great! We also got the eggplant dish with beef and this one was just okay. For dessert we got the coconut ice cream and it was so big all 3 of us were able to share it and get a pretty decent portion! The service was also amazing but we did go at a slower time of night on a Wednesday. Definitely check this place out if you are a lover of Thai food like me or just in the mood for something new!
AMAZING FOOD! FANTASTIC SERVICE! THE ENTIRE VIBE was welcoming, authentic & dare is say PERFECT!!! I was having a BAD DAY & it took this place to cheer me up and get me back into a position of positivity!!!! If I do come back to Houston I’m definitely coming back !!!! THANK YOU TO YOUR AMAZING STAFF !!!!
This spot is definitely worth the long walk from nearby hotels or work (watch for the closed streets and sidewalks on the way). Had the Chicken Phad Thai for dinner and ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice for take out (to have for lunch the next day!) Food definitely held its own and was even better the next day! Parking was minimal and cars were double parked - plan to park down the street or pay for parking. Very small lot! The place was well kept and seating was ok! Can seam like a really small place really fast when pearls start showing up for dinner!
I’ve been craving Thai food for a few weeks now, never been to a Thai restaurant in Houston before. I decide to come here & hope that my favorite dish, drunken noodle is good. It was the best I had, & my boyfriend first time eating Thai food, he enjoyed it more than I did, & I love Thai food. Server was great at her job as well. Restrooms clean & seating is comfortable.
Wonderfully flavorful Thai food! Yes it’s westernized, but skillfully ! Everything we tried hit the spot: thom ka gai soup, green curry, tiger cried and mango/sweet rice dessert. The only hiccup : it’s sometimes hard to find parking, but worth the effort !
Came here with a friend to try out a new Thai spot! We were not disappointed at all. The service was a little slow but the food made up for that quickly. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad Woo Sen, and Tom Yum soup - everything was delicious. We saw some other customers ordering the chicken wings and they looked good too, so we know what we will be trying when we come back!
What a pleasant surprise to find this place! Looks unassuming on the outside, but the food is very tasty and the menu is very varied. Every dish we had was full of flavor, and our waiter was very attentive. The place was packed when we went for lunch, so we had to wait a few minutes for a table. It was well worth it. Pad Kee mao, healthy ginger, and ka pow gai were all delicious. Can't wait to come back!
Stopped here for dinner tonight and got the shrimp summer rolls, pad woo sen with beef and the panang curry. Everything was absolutely delicious! Especially the curry 🤤 If you’re considering getting Thai, look no further!
First time trying this place and OMG 10/10! I love Thai food and they didn't disappoint. Flavorful, great portions, and the drinks were really good as well. I live far but I will definitely be back!!
1st day in Houston and we’re looking for a place to have dinner , we check the restaurants in a 5 mile radius and came with Nua Thai . For our 1st dinner the food was excellent possible better than at home . Khao soi kai, pad swee ew and green curry seafood , mango ice tea and lyche ice tea. All the dishes and drink were really good. Our server was patient and nice with us , we were taking too long to order .
My Combo Drunken Noodles were served hot and fresh. Beef, chicken shrimp together (light on the shrimp, only had 1) generous chicken and beef. Robust flavor (level 2 was a medium/light spicy), beautiful handout ribbon noodles. The neighboring dishes all looked equally mouthwatering.
Visiting this restaurant in Houston was a lovely experience. The soup has different level of spice, such as mild, Medium, Hot and Thai hot. Everyone there greet you when you walk in. The vibe of the atmosphere is very laidback, chill ambiance. Food was hot and so fresh and the spice I could definitely tolerate! I must say, it felt like comfort food for me.
An excellent Thai place in Houston. Classic options and everything is as good as expected. The prices are fair for the good portion sizes. Staff is very nice and the food comes out relatively quickly. There’s a good amount of seating, but parking is pretty limited, you may have to find a spot around the area. Was overall satisfied by the experience.
Sorry for the sloppy curry photo, I simply could not WAIT to dig in as the aromas penetrated my nostrils! I have nothing but 5 stars to give to this Thai restaurant. THE most flavorful yellow curry I've ever had! And don't get me started on the drunken noodles... Tangy, spicy, chewy noodles oh heavens I'm in love! So excited to return to NUA Thai when I visit Houston again! Will definitely try the Pad Thai and Basil Fried Rice next time.. I wish I had more than one small stomach 😅 I walked 25 minutes to get here and it was WORTH IT ❤️ Such lovely staff as well!
Great Thai food. You can order with less spice for the kids. We ordered the veggie spring rolls, the green papaya salad the padthai which you can choose what protein you want it with. We ordered it with no protein and the fried rice which was delicious. The padthai needed more fishy taste. The salad was delicious. The Thai tea looked delicious. When I asked for the check there were only options for 18% 20 or 22% tip and I only added the 15% and the waitress looked at me a bit weird which she is entitled to I guess.
I had a great experience during my recent visit. The service that Tina and Juan provided was excellent and the food was outstanding. I had the Tom Yum Creamy Hot Pot, which was served to perfection, and my son had the Tiger Cry. The beef was tender and the sauce that came with it was savory. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I have been looking for good Thai food and Nua Thai blew me away. Food was absolutely delicious. The curry roti was so flavorful, the pad Thai has a nice sweet taste to it the way i like it. Other places make it more savory but the sweet was great. The mango sticky rice was so delicious and the lychee saketini was amazing as well. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend. The service was great and my food came out quick
Nua Thai Restaurant in Houston's Midtown neighborhood is a hidden gem for those craving authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the inviting atmosphere and friendly service make you feel right at home. My recent visit to Nua Thai was a delightful exploration of vibrant flavors. I started off with the tulip dumplings and crab cream cheese rolls, both bursting with savory goodness. The pad Thai was perfectly cooked with a delightful balance of sweet, savory, and tangy notes. The creamy Tom Yum soup was rich and comforting, while the pineapple fried rice offered a sweet and savory contrast. Finally, the yellow curry provided a warming and fragrant finish to the meal. One thing to note is that Nua Thai's spice levels are relatively mild compared to other Thai restaurants in Houston. I opted for the medium spice level, which added a pleasant warmth without overpowering the flavors. If you prefer a bolder kick, you can definitely request extra spice. Whether you're looking for a casual lunch spot, a cozy dinner with friends, or a place to take out-of-town guests, Nua Thai Restaurant is a fantastic option. The delicious food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere will leave you wanting to come back for more.
It was a delightful dining experience. As a Thai native, authentic Thai cuisine is often difficult to find in Houston; however, this establishment offers Hainan chicken, known as Khao Man Gai in Thai, a personal favorite from my visits to Thailand. We look forward to returning to sample additional menu items.
I am Thai and I have to say the food was great!!! The taste was authentic and spicy as i wanted🌶️If you can handle Thai spicy go for that level! It was soooo yummy. The portion were huge i could not finish in one time. Fresh ingredient and well cooked. I will definitely order again for my next visiting. Recommended!
Great customer service, food and drinks!!! This is my go to Thai spot. You got to check them out. Let's say... the truth!!!! They are always on point. This time around I tried the Tom Yum Creamy Hot Pot. When I say soooooooo delicious 😋 OMG!!!!! You go to try!! I love me a good soup. So flavorful with a lil kick to it. You can choose your spice level. I haven't had a meal yet that don't like. Parking is very limited. The lot is very small. You can park in the lot next door now.
I had an amazing meal at Nua Thai! The drunken noodles with tofu were absolutely fantastic. The basil fried rice was just as delicious fragrant, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the care put into each dish. Definitely one of the best Thai meals I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend!
This place looks cute inside and parking is available. We went for my cousin’s birthday and the Basil Fried Rice and Summer rolls were great and Kao Soi and Roti were okay. There was a hair in my white rice which was really noticeable and I was annoyed because the waitress asked so many questions every few minutes but didn’t see the hair on the white rice? I asked her for chilli oil and Mango Sticky Rice too and she never brought either of those things. I think she was new which is fine, but it was inconvenient because of the fact that we were there for a birthday. UPDATE: I went back and it was so much better the second time. We had a different waiter and I was there for a date. The food was great, clean, and we weren’t bothered for hours. The place really is so cute and the food is great. It was just one bad server before.
My first time here and we loved it! Tina was a great server, I would love if she could train other resturants on customer service! From the moment we walked in everyone who works here were friendly and customer service focused. We had the crab puffs, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Mango Sticky Rice. Large portions, seasoned well, and all delicious. My husband used to do take out from work but when we passed by we thought we'd try out dine in. You won't be disappointed if you do either. Thanks Kevin and Tina. We'll be back.
This was my first time trying this restaurant and the vibes were immaculate, customer service 100/10, the food was great, perfect portions, just a beautiful place with the right atmosphere to go eat with friends. I had the crab fried rice and it was sooo good! I’m excited to go back to try more stuff
5 stars Such a hidden gem in Downtown Houston! The place has a warm, cozy vibe that makes you feel right at home. The food was outstanding—packed with authentic flavors, served piping hot, and the portions were generous for the price. Service was quick and efficient, and the overall quality was top-notch. I had an amazing experience and will definitely be coming back. The only slight downside is the parking lot—it’s a bit tight and can get busy with a constant flow of pickup orders. But honestly, the food and experience more than make up for it!
Nua Thai Restaurant is an absolute delight! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a clean and inviting atmosphere, with the soothing aroma of lemongrass circulating through the air. The customer service was spot on—attentive, friendly, and efficient. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves Thai cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Not sure if they changed owners or what exactly happened, but their prices went up, their portion sizes went significantly down, and they stopped taking cash. Still good food, but never fun to get these kinds of “surprises” from a previously reliable restaurant
ordered through uber eats and picked up at the restaurant. parking was easy as they have a private lot. i got gluten free drunken noodles with shrimp and yellow curry with white rice. both were super delicious. when i was picking up my order, the lady at the front seemed like she didn't want to be there, the restaurant wasn't really welcoming. and the table i chose to wait at was wobbly. this is a real casual place.
Food was good and flavourful. Portion size are just right. It may be little loud during lunch time.
I went for lunch at 11 and we were the first customers in the building. There is a small parking lot in front. Tulip dumplings - they said it was homemade and it tasted okay, but I have frozen shimai that taste similar so it wasn't memorable. Thai chicken wings - this was the most delicious and note worthy dish. You get five chicken wings with the drum and wings separated so it's not a lot but the wings are jumbo size. They are deep fried with a tamarind dipping sauce on the side. The wings themselves were marinaded very well and good to eat alone, but when you dip them in the sauce it makes this dish really special. I will get this every time I visit. Sriracha chicken wings - these wings are tossed in a thick sweet and spicy sauce. It was good but just not as great as a thai chicken wings. Lunch specials come with a side of tom yum soup and a small vegetable egg roll. There were about 12 options for the lunch specials. I got the beef drunken noodle, hot spice level. This was honestly one of the best drunken noodles I've had, not super excessive amount of oil like I've had at other thai places. Lots of aromatics with the thai basil, bell peppers, onions, fresh jalapenos and tender beef. I really enjoyed this dish. My uncle got the chicken Pad Thai. He got it mild, I think it was too sweet and too much tomato flavor. I like a more nutty and savory pad Thai so this was not my favorite. Maybe if we added some spice it may have been better... My cousin got the teriyaki chicken. The chicken looked like it was pan fried first, with some crispy edges juxtaposed to the moist meat in the middle. Sauce was actually very good with a sweet and ginger teriyaki base. he also got it mild so I think it would have been even better if we added a little bit of spice. It is mixed with broccoli and carrots and served with a side of rice.
Mango sticky rice is phenomenal. Plan to go back to try the curry. Update: My original experience was very good. My mango sticky rice that I regrettably did not take a picture of was over an inch thick covering the bottom even layer; with both halves of a whole mango covering the entire top of my rice. With an ample amount of sweet cream. The second time I ordered was less than half this. I wrote it off because I went in right before close and I still tipped them generously. Today I am very disappointed. They gave me even less rice today and again only one half of a mango with almost no cream. Even after explaining to the staff that is generally very nice were adamant that this was the normal portion. Regrettably I cannot say that I will be returning. Paying $8 plus a generous 4 to 6 dollar tip for a quarter portion of this decadent treat simply isn't worth it.
I heard really good things about their food so went to try. Food was good taste wise but portion size was small compared to the price. The egg rolls were over fried almost close to being burnt. Heard a lot about the drunken noodles but didn’t find anything extraordinary; it was okay. Service could have been better. Didn’t like the fact that they don’t accept cash. Very difficult to find parking during dinner time. Just right beside the restaurant there is a paid parking spot so we had to park there.
We love this place and have been coming here for a while. Plenty of vegetarian options. Authentic and flavorful dishes. Our goto's are tofu spring rolls, red curry fried rice with tofu, and drunken noodles with tofu. Every now and then we get the panang or massaman curry or spicy basil tofu (pad kra pow). Tonight I decided to try the brussels sprout and although it had great flavor it was too saucy. Prices are reasonable and portions are perfect. *Update on service* Service was good but it seems to have gone down a bit. From what I can tell they are short staffed. There is one person managing the tables and that can get backed up pretty quickly. That one person is also answering phones and helping people coming in to pick up Togo orders etc. Plenty of seating. Parking is limited but there's street parking nearby. Happy they're in the neighborhood.
I’ve always liked Nua Thai, but the Pad Thai lately is overly wet and overly sweet, which really ruins the dish. I’ve ordered this dish multiple times in the past, and it used to be one of my favorites because of its balance of flavors and proper texture. Unfortunately, that balance seems to be gone. The noodles are now swimming in sauce, making the dish soggy instead of lightly coated, and the sweetness is overpowering to the point that it masks the traditional savory and tangy flavors Pad Thai is known for. Pad Thai should have a harmony of sweet, sour, salty, and umami, but recently it tastes more like a sugary noodle dish than authentic Thai food. Even the protein and vegetables don’t stand out anymore because everything is overwhelmed by the sauce. This change is really disappointing, especially because Nua Thai has set a higher standard in the past. I hope this is something the kitchen can revisit and adjust, because the quality I remember is what kept me coming back. As it is now, the Pad Thai no longer lives up to expectations and doesn’t reflect the restaurant’s potential
Enjoyed an early dinner with a friend here. The service was fast. The tables are very sticky even with a wipe down so be aware. I like that they offer freshly squeezed lemonade. We started off with the seaweed salad which was delicious. I had the massanman curry which is a peanut sauce based curry. It was not as flavorful as I imagined but not bad. Probably wouldn’t get again. My friend ordered the pineapple curry which was quite tasty. The price was reasonable. Would return and try other options. Returned for lunch with a friend. Lunch comes with free soup and a crispy spring roll. The tom yum soup was delicious. And so was the spring roll. The seaweed salad never disappoints. I had the red curry meal this time which was good. Would recommend and will definitely be returning.
Loved the food and service. Had a great server, he was very attentive. The restaurant is very small though and feels very cramped when it's busy. The parking is atrocious. WAY too little parking. Perhaps take out is the best choice.
We visited on Monday around evening time. The restaurant was empty so we decided to dine-in. We ordered Tom Yum Noodles and Pad Thai. They tasted quite different from what we had tried before. The Tom Yum Noodle was sour but good. The Pad Thai was a bit salty, and we needed lemon to make it more sour. The Thai tea was great. It’s rich in flavor, not too strong like other places, which makes it perfect.
smells good when you enter. you sit wherever you want. tulip dumplings didn’t have much flavor on their own but the sauce that was served with them was super good! wish they were a little bigger. loved their yellow curry. best i’ve had tbh. lychee tea was delicious. their thai coffee was amazing.
It’s a small restaurant with a fresh look. It’s my first time year so I decided to try the classics. 1. Tom Yum Soup: It was sweet and tart and flavorful. While it was a little too sweet, I still enjoyed it. The flavors were right for what a Tom Yum soup should taste like. 2. Drunken noodle flavors were decent. Portions were generous. While it’s not my favorite version it was still good. Had it with shrimp which was cooked right: juicy and plump. Overall I’d come back to try more dishes.
NUA Thai is a fairly young establishment (established 2020). It is a medium sized restaurant with many two to four seaters. The restaurant is clean and has very simple decoration. I had the tofu pad woon sen while my partner got the crispy chicken fried rice. The portions were generous and the food were flavorful. Service was great, and staff were friendly. The only downside is the tiny parking lot in front of the restaurant. I would avoid going during peak hours.
Done-in experience, was okay. Had to ask for a couple of items twice but overall staff were friendly. We ordered the crispy chicken skin the protein itself lacted seasoning need some salt and pepper at least. The sauce that came with it made up for the lack of seasoning. I ordered the chicken lettuce wrap and my daughter ordered the red curry. Both were delicious - and plenty of food well worth the price. The mango tea was a tad too sweet for me but my daughter loved it. We also split the mango sticky rice (it was enough for two) it was delicious not overly sweet just enough. Overall good experience.
Got take out for their bogo Uber deal. The fried chicken 17.95$ only had few pieces of chicken and they were mostly bone. Even though I take pretty good pictures you’ll quickly realize it’s mostly fried skin and skinny pieces of barely any meat. The chicken is also pretty dry. So it was absolutely not worth it. The wonton soup was $8 came with FOUR pieces of wonton inside. If this weren’t a Bogo deal it is absolutely the worst deal I’ve seen. The bogo makes it average for what it’s worth but would not get this again.
We got here because of amazing reviews specially on the drunken noodles. Our server was really nice initially when she took our order. Unfortunately there was a mix up and they got the soup order wrong, which was obviously a miss on their part as I never get what they were trying to give me. Anyway it wasn’t a big deal but things sort of changed from then. We got all of our order including main pretty quickly which could be good or bad but it seemed rushed. The drunken noodles weren’t what I was hoping for them to be. The only dish we really thought was good was Thai wings. My soup came out last which was meh. May give this place another shot but it will be a while before we are back.
The food was OK. My wife is a connoisseur of Pad Thai and thought Nua’s version of the dish was the best in the Houston area. I found it to be a tad bit too sweet, though. We also ordered the mixed vegetables, which were average. The tofu with red curry was flavorful , though again a bit too sweet for me. Service was OK. I ordered by phone and was told to come pick up the food in 20 minutes. That’s what I did, and I ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes. Actually, my order was ready 10 minutes sooner, but it sat on the counter because they forgot to call my name. The decor isn’t fancy but it is pleasant enough. Parking is easy.
Good food but kind of par-for-the-course cuisine (no exciting dishes or exotic flavor profiles). The food gets heavy after a while and the noodles in the Khao Soi Kai gets cold and clumps together. The thai teas (both the normal and the green kind) are superb, though. Very deep tea flavor. C+.
Would’ve given the place a 5 if the rice had flavor but it lacked that unless you want it spicy which I don’t think is fair to the people who don’t eat spicy. Also very stingy with the shrimp. The pad Thai my boyfriend got was good thou! Oh - way over priced though. Spent $49 for our two plates and eggrolls. Probably wouldn’t return based off the price alone.
I ordered the calamari and chicken wings via Uber Eats. As you can expect the calamari did not travel well. It was watery, greasy and half soggy by the time it got to me but the flavor was good! The chicken wings were ok. The sauce that comes with is very tasty! I’ll go back again, but not through a food delivery service.
The food was good, no complaints there! However, the service could use some improvement. Only one fork wrapped in a napkin was provided—no extra fork, knife, or spoon or napkins—which made it difficult to enjoy the meal properly. When the fried rice was served, it didn’t come with a serving spoon. I also asked for an extra plate, and the server gave us a look before handing over a very small plate that wasn’t suitable for eating.
I have been here a bunch of times for her to go food. I don’t know if it’s because it was late at night or what, but everything I got was pretty bad. My pad, Woon sen is so bland and has a weird flavor. The fried rice has almost no flavor either and the wonton soup was also pretty underwhelming. Usually it’s really good. Every time I come, the packaging is different
Nua Thai was my go to Thai restaurant, until yesterday, and here’s why: 1. Service: The worst service I’ve ever encountered - the seemed so disinterested, and had an attitude like he was doing us a favour. We ask him for the drinks menu, and the response was “I don’t have a drinks menu on the table” and lists 3-4 options. I could see the drinks menu right across the table on the bar counter, but I guess he just didn’t want to sell us any drinks. And to make it worse, never showed up again to ask if we need anything more after the first order. 2. Food: Ordered a crispy egg roll and the sauce that it came with was super disappointing - store bought sweet and spicy sauce! No more of the peanut sauce?? The Green Curry was tasty, but extremely heavy on coconut milk, which wasn’t the case before. The Pad Thai - avoid at any cost. Looked like a new management has taken over, and overall, I’m very disappointed!
