I don’t like the desserts offered in Cypress, so when I’m craving something sweet I come to this place to eat this amazing sticky rice custard. This is the only Thai restaurant that offers it in the area and it’s very well prepared!
Hidden gem! Crispy roll, Pad kee mao, chicken pad tai, and skewers always really good. Tried the mango sticky rice, so delicious! Staff are respectful and familiarly friendly with their customers and the place is always clean and good vibes
This restaurant is probably the best Thai restaurant in Cypress. I've been purchasing meals from here for years! The food is always delicious and extremely affordable ❤️
Hubby and I stopped by Thai Chefs for lunch today to see if it lived up to the hype from when we used to live in the area and it absolutely did. They offer weekday lunch specials for around $13 that include a soup and an appetizer. Today's appetizer was a spring roll, and the soup (not sure of its name) was packed with fresh veggies like carrots, onions, cabbage, cilantro, and tender chicken. So comforting and flavorful. I ordered the Pad Ka Prao with pork and it was delicious. My husband had the Garlic Chicken, which he described as "garlicky delicious". Same great food, same familiar faces, and the same fabulous service we remember from years ago. Thai Chefs is still a true neighborhood staple.
I found this place with my family just over 7 years ago and am still a loyal cutomer. I use favor of course but i can say their qualily has stated amazing. My favors are their pad thai, and their wide range of thai currys. This restrant turned into our family sunday lunch spot for years and their in restant aptomsher is cozy and very welcoming. We were a loud bunch but we were always welcomed and surved quality meals. Thank yall for the great food!
We ordered the pad Thai and pad kee mao. Great flavor compared to a place in Katy Asian Town. Not to oily and the pad kee mao noodles had that nice wok char. Pad Thai was visually appealing and along with the flavor, made the experience amazing. Wholeheartedly recommend.
In my honest opinion, Thai Chefs is hands down the best Thai restaurant in the city. The vegetable soup is rich and aromatic, with fresh vegetables(you can also add a protein for an additional cost). The chicken satay was perfectly seasoned and tender, served with a delicious peanut sauce. The red curry was creamy, spicy, and bursting with authentic flavors. Highly recommended!
This is a fantastic Thai restaurant that isn’t overly expensive like many of them have become. Only downside is getting into the parking lot if you’re coming from the south side of Barker Cypress.
September 2023 update: the food is still excellent. I love the Pad See Ew .The service is always excellent. The food is always fresh. First of all my alteration lady told me about this place (Susie Tailor's on 529)... she was spot on. The Pad Thai was excellent; just enough sweet, spicy and savory. We had vegetable pad thai, a shrimp pad thai, something with garlic and ginger.. rice of course. Everything was tasty. Would we good back. Yes, we already went back!!!
I have gone there’s several times and always have a good experience. Friendly waitstaff, great flavorful food and I love the mango sticky rice dessert (when available/in season). I’ve had the Pad Thai, Basil rice, and vegetable soup and all have been delicious. There’s limited parking in the front but additional parking in the back.
Started off with the dumplings and fresh soft rolls, followed by red chicken curry and white rice accompanied by their Thai tea. Absolutely loved every bite, and will be back again!
Nice place with good Thai food. Portion is large and server are polite. If the food is not hot spicy enough, they got few different hot pepper for you to add flavor!
The food price is better than other thai stores within Houston. The place was almost full when we went to eat. The service is very good, they observe their customers needs and immediately offer help (refill drink, offer to go box, etc).
That was excellent. Been looking for Papaya salad for two years ... And got fish with Curry sauce. Tasty. Quick. Clean. Came again. Had the eggplant and the glass noodle. Both good.
First time trying Thai food and it was delicious! The vegetables tasted so fresh, and the flavor was great. The soup with coconut, delicious. Also that Thai coffee is strong! I would definitely go back and would recommend.
It’s located on the barker cypress road and quite convenient place to stop by. Today was the first visit and I had a pad see ew there. To be honest, I wasn’t impressed with it... not sure exactly what it was but I tasted bitterness in the sweet noodles. I just had only one plate I cannot rate the other stuffs. I’ll be back there to check other menus then will give more or less stars. Edited: So I had a pad Thai noodle today and it was delicious 😋 I like that sweet and sourness! Vegetarian pad Thai is the bomb 💣
Lovely food. Pineapple fried rice is delicious. Combination sweet and salty is just perfect. Pad Kee Mao noodles were amazing with a 3 spicy were just perfect for some who like spicy but yet to still savor the food.
First time at Thai Chefs Restaurant. Great Pad Kee Mao to go. Lots of flavor. Not to long of a wait. Got level 2 spice but probably could have gone for level 3 or 4. Better safe than sorry! Hope to be back again soon to try the curry. Thanks for the yum!
Update : went for a lunch dine in and food and ambience was wonderful!! Will definitely keep coming back. Tip : food is definitely spicy! So beware on the spice level. We eat spicy but even 3 for us was pretty spicy. Ordered to go for valentine’s dinner. Food was ready in 20 minutes. We ordered chicken pad Thai, cashew chicken and pineapple fried rice. Everything tasted very good except for Pineapple fried rice which had a bit too strong curry flavor. Quantity portion was generous so I would say good value for the money. We ordered medium spice level which was fine. We got some spices on the side. We will definitely be back for a dine in experience.
First experience in this Thai restaurant and positive experience. The restaurant room is very well decorated. Large choice of dishes with spicy option (from nothing to level 4). The food was really good..especially the home made coconut ice cream that is delicious. The Thai tea was also very pleasant.
first time here, food was decent especially for the area not many Asian restaurants in the area much less a specialty one like this Thai restaurant. thought service was a bit slow but saw only one waitress working, I guess understandable during this climate of short staffing but the woman could have been the owner who knows. cute restaurant but a bit small especially small parking lot
Debating how to rate this restaurant. Food is above average, I like the curry fish and it full of favor with strong coconut taste. The freshness of their ingredients can be taste from the dishes. Pad Thai just ok. However the service just average not impressed at all that is why it is difficult to rate. Price is slight above average compare to other Thai restaurant and combine the level of service I am not satisfied at all. I am not planning to go back anytime soon.
Order spicy chili. I ordered this dish, but the meat tasted awful, like liver. And the vegetables were overcooked.
