All the food was fresh and hot. My wife loved the chicken salad. The Hawaiian burger was great! It's a simple hole-in-the-wall with outdoor dining on picnic benches along Pacific Coast Hwy, great place to see people out driving their weekend cars - traffic can be loud. Open 8 am - 3 pm Wednesday - Sunday.

WOW!! Love the mom and pop hospitality!! Great customer service ! Meal was super flavorful and bomb!! BBQ BURGER WAS MY JAM!! Loved every bite!! Was given a free sample of home made juices and beverages right as i walked in! Talk about setting the bar high before i even order! Came here after an early morning surf. Was my first time trying this place and it did not disappoint. I had The Pocket Burger, it was massive and tasty and I asked for the fries well done, which they did, and they came out super yummy. Got a couple cool little benches to sit out front to enjoy your meal. Owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back here again.

Pocket Burger Shack is a very small place in Sunset Beach, on PCH, and about 100 ft from the beach. They have a good variety of burgers, bowls, and salads, most with "exotic" nuances like sweet, Hawaiian-style buns, and teriyaki sauce. The patty is Wagyu meat (well, probably not A5...) and it's thick and weighing 1/3 pound. The cheese they use is provolone. I found the burger to be very delicious and quite original. Service was corteous and attentive. Highly recommended.

This place is awesome. Friend told me about it and I got the pocket burger. So good. The owner is a sweetheart and really does a great job of making you feel like you’re part of the family.

Went in today for the 1st time. Met the owner Lori talked to her about menu items with more detail. Has a Great time talking about how her business started. Wonderful story, you instantly fall in love with this family since her sister works there. On the menu Everything sounded great. I ordered a steak salad and it was delicious. It originally came with a peanut Thai sauce but it didn't intrigue me so she accommodated with other options and also added the Thai sauce anyway. It was a bit spicy for me. I ordered the sweet potato fries also, they were great. I Love how personable Lori is. This company will go far with the Kindness this woman and family have. I TRULY LOVE THIS PLACE & STOP IN TO MEET THE OWNER, YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID! Prime spot for quick walk to the beach. Also take you food to go and enjoy on the beach. Parking isn't too good but there's plenty to park near.

If you want to support local this is the place!! There are many good places to go for burgers, but this will be my new go-to location, in fact I would even recommend going out of your way for these burgers and fries. They make everything FRESH, even their daily agua frescas. Plenty of parking from sunset beach, they provide seating right outside their shop and just minutes from the beach. I can't say enough great things about this place.

One of the best burgers I've ever had! I had the pocket burger that comes with an egg, bacon and avocado and it's DELICIOUS. The watermelon and strawberry drink was awesome and the shakes looked so good but I couldn't force one down... THIS time but I WILL next time! You gotta try this place!!!

Great experience with a to go order. I ordered the aloha burger with regular fries and an oreo milkshake. Everything was delicious and the portion size was great. The burger was really messy but worth it for the flavor.

We weren’t planning on stopping here but it was like a shimmering light from the heavens had guided us into this hole in the wall burger joint. Just say it, made a U-turn and went in. My wife ordered the OC burger, which was labeled as spicy but it wasn’t spicy at all, and this is coming from a white guy. I ordered the BBQ burger with all kinds of unhealthy stuff on there. Onion Rings, Bacon, etc. The owner even came out, explained how the restaurant was founded and let us know they had just won “Best Burger in Huntington Beach” and you could tell! The food was amazing. I even had a quarter of my wife’s burger, because she was full. I was full too but I kept eating because it was so good. Im definitely coming back. Be aware! There is minimal parking though, so be prepared for that.

Mrs Lori is an angel & the food is spectacular!! It’s a rarity these days to be met with both quality caring people AND absolutely top notch food. As a solo traveler I’ve been to quite a few places and the Pocket Burger Shack is something special. I was seriously blown away by freshness, savory meat, and delicious juice! Wow! The pocket burger is a hidden gem. Our friends had been telling us about their amazing burgers. They were definitely right ! Delicious! Of course we ordered the pocket burger - fabulous- cooked perfectly with good toppings. Every burger comes with fries or onion rings. The menu was a surprise. They also serve Asian fusion cuisine. The owners cook and are very friendly and help you find the perfect combination for your tastes. The friendly waiters pass out delicious flavors of the new aguas frescos. Yum 🌴 The only downside is this is really quite literally a hidden gem. It’s hard to locate it when you are driving. It’s on a busy street so it can be difficult to find parking. Many people ride their bicycles here to make it easy. There’s always a long line but they fill the orders fast. It’s worth the wait. Enjoy and talk to the other excited people talking about their favorite food and how far they traveled to get to their favorite burger place. Enjoy the food and support this local restaurant! Just had another great meal. The French fries are the perfect - crispy with a great texture The burger is delicious. Had the bbq burger 🍔 this time. Love the grilled onions and onion rings. The taco 🌮 was good too. Hats off to this excellent staff who work so hard to make everything fast and delicious.

This place is much more than just burgers!!! I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve come here because it’s insanely delicious every time!! Every single thing I’ve tried on the menu has been amazing. And the owner Ron and his family are so friendly and accommodating! 🥰 Every time anyone comes to visit me from out of town, I bring them here. Best hole in the wall I’ve ever been to!! Great burger spot! Everything we had was mega delicious & came out quickly. Service was superb & friendly. We ordered some of the fresh pineapple juice & it was super good. All 4 of our burgers tasted really great, along with the sweet potato fries, onion rings, & regular fries! I would definitely recommend eating here because it’s very tasty & reasonably priced!

The food here was so good and the burger was huge, you really get your bang for the buck. I got the pocket burger. Also the girl was so helpful. It was first time there and the girl helped me pick something out. She was also so patent when my card wasn't working at first. Great customer service. Wow! Just Wow!! So stoked to find this little gem tucked in the corner of a little strip mall. Wife and I shared a breakfast burrito with the works. Upon handing me the bag, I noticed it definitely passed the weight test! When we both took our first bites? Wows abound!!! Tortilla, baco, peppers, onions cheese...all fresh and piping hot!! We can't wait to go back and try another dish here! Be prepared to wait for your food to be cooked fresh! It is worth it!!!

My girlfriend got food poisoning here this morning. She got the breakfast burrito and then started throwing up shortly after eating it. I would not recommend eating here.
