Nice beach side restaurant/brewery. Excellent variety of delicious tacos. Tacos are good in size and have good flavor. Reasonable prices. Amazing patio atmosphere with fire pits. Plenty of tables to accommodate couples, small groups, and large groups. There's a private 21+upper deck. Self seating, order inside, then they'll bring out your food. Strongly recommend.

Yum! I love this restaurant. My favorite was the fish tacos. It was SO crunchy, and the sauce added so much flavor in addition to the other ingredients. When my family was done, they picked up the tiny pieces of onions and lettuce they had dropped in their plate. The surf n turf taco was also a favorite 🤩. There were so many textures at once, and the avocado was a big plus. And of course, I’m coming here again! 😋😋🤤🤤

My entire family (dog included) loves Mike Hess Brewing- Imperial Beach! This restaurant has a very relaxed vibe, and it’s the perfect spot to eat at on a sunny day. They’ve got a great menu that’s easy for my anxiety ridden brain to process. They’ve got awesome eats and drinks! If you’re into beer, try one of their flights! Mike Hess Brewing is pet friendly and family friendly! I would definitely recommend MH Brewing!

I wanted tacos and beer. This place hit it out of the park. Food and beer was great. Right by the beach. Wasn't busy when I was there. Friendly staff. Food was amazing. Had a sand sculpture there which was great to see. Apparently it changes every few months. Families were there with their kids. People came by with their dogs. Just a great local spot by the beach. Even watched the sunset from the ocean from there.

My daughter brought me here for lunch and a beer. Let me start by saying the chips and salsa are sooooo good. Fresh chips with salsa that's not the norm for tacos. The flavor was really good. Our tacos were really good as well. Make sure you get some of their sauces. I ordered a flight of beer since this was my first time and I wasn't disappointed with any of my choices. The seating was all outdoors and the weather was beautiful. They have outdoor games and a very reasonable kids menu.

We stopped by for Trivia Night, and it was FUN!!!! The host was very engaging and made the event awesome! I didn't catch his name. We're planning on going again!! We really liked how he managed the event. As far as service goes, we really weren't sure where to order. We saw a couple of people, who looked like servers, walking around and assisting tables. But not one of them stopped to check in on us (until the event ended). After about 10 minutes, we finally decided to order at the counter, which we thought was just for drinks. But, thankfully, they took our order, and the food came out very quickly. Maybe some signage (I didn't see any) with some directions on where, or with whom, to order would be helpful.

Large restaurant with tons of outside seating a block from the beach. You order at the counter and they'll bring your food to your table. We ordered the fish, crunchy shrink, and spicy shrimp tacos. They were all good and loaded with toppings therefore more filling than they look. I really like the fluffy soft flour tortillas that they use. Tastes freshly made!

The worst tacos I’ve had in a very long time. I used to love their food. This morning I went to grab their breakfast tacos, because they don’t serve anything else other than those tacos on the weekends before 11:30. They were terrible. I took one bite and threw the rest away. The tortilla was saturated in oil, the yolk was raw, I asked for it to be cooked medium, and just no flavor.

Service is not the best. Food was a bit greasy the ambiance helps to make up for the bad service. Jared was not well versed in ADA laws and should probably slow down his approach to ensure he is working within the laws. He is quick to remove your food even if you’re still nibbling as he wants it cleared. Doesn’t help to the welcome environment they are trying to build on. We were in the hotel next door and a group of 12 one of them brought something they shouldn’t have and decent conversation would have been suited for that mistake but a reprimand and scene and attitude should never be the approach. A little training will go a long way on how to handle corrections.
