The menu here is fire! They had so many things we wanted to try, but I settled on the smoked brisket grilled cheese and it was delicious! The fries were great as well. My husband had the lobster BLT and loved it and one of our friends had the nicoise salad and was impressed. We ordered the something in the orange dessert and it was amazing! The mousse was flavorful and frothy, the orange shell was lovely, and the presentation was perfect. They got the banana cream pie and we tasted that and we'll definitely be getting that next time. Highly recommend.
Love this restaurant! I am from Chicago and I went once for wine only and the last time for dinner. The wine list is impressive. The menu is eclectic with a nice variety. If you ware wanting to go for a dinner or heavy appetizers you have excellent options. I was there for dinner with a larger group and the staff did an incredible job at servicing the tables. I was very happy with my experience and would 100% recommend going.
Aberdeen is not only about the fabulous food but the ambiance is so curated; I love it! So many visual treats, including such great art and so many architectural details. We had the fish & chips and the chop and lobster truffle Mac and cheese and they were delicious. And the wine….. well, the selection is amazing and so special. This is a must for lovers of great food and ambiance. Our server, Lauren, was amazing - 40 of us descended upon her all at once and she handled it with such grace. Thank you!!
Absolutely loved this place and will be back. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed the Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese and Nicoise Salad, you can not go wrong with either of these selections. We shared a banana cream pie dessert and then since it was my birthday lunch they brought out a delicious fortune cookie for me. The little touches were on point. The staff were all fantastic and Liz was so pleasant and helpful, she was fabulous. We loved the clean and simplistic vibe of the restaurant. This was our first visit but we are already planning our next visit. So yes, we will definitely be back.
Had a very nice evening with my son and husband celebrating a promotion. English was our server and she went above and beyond. Management was visible and involved. We will come back here again. Oh, and the bartender made me a perfect Tito’s martini!
One of the best restaurants in Indy. Liz was an amazing server who was very well educated on both drinks and food. Liz was quick to refill drinks and take empty plates from us. The manager was also exceptional and stopped by our table multiple times to check on our experience. We were able to experience a cultivated atmosphere with exceptional guest service. I could not recommend this restaurant more, truly one of the best restaurants in the Indianapolis area. Ask for Liz!!
We tried this new restaurant for brunch to celebrate our friend's birthday. Great looking modern feel. Plenty of parking. For an appetizer ordered the bananas French toast. It was good I wouldn't say great. For each of our entrees I ordered the waffle battered chicken sandwich with fries. Absolutely amazing would highly recommend it. Around the table one friend got the avocado and mushroom toast and raved about it. Another friend got the chicken with chorizo and grits. I tried a bite of it and it was truly rich and delicious. Our other friend ordered the smoked brisket Benedict and said it was delicious and very tender. Our server Lauren was one of the highlights of our brunch. She took really good care of us and was fantastic! If you are looking for a new spot in town I would highly recommend it.
Absolutely loved my experience at Aberdeen Social House! The drinks were delightful – the Old-Fashioned was exactly what I needed, perfectly crafted. The appetizers were also fantastic, with bold flavors and the right balance of textures. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was excellent. I can’t wait to come back for dinner! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great time with amazing drinks and delicious food. 5 stars all the way!
We visited Aberdeen for the first time last night and tried their Devour menu. The food was EXCELLENT - very creative and flavorful. The service was top notch across the board - our server was so attentive and kind, water glasses were always filled, and our food came out at a great pace despite the restaurant being packed. We had a great experience and will absolutely be returning.
Thanks to the excellent food and the kind staff, I was able to celebrate my friend's birthday. In particular, be sure to try the carrot cake that came as dessert.
First time at Aberdeen, I sat at the bar and ordered the scallops entree. The carrots were delicious, the scallops were perfectly charred can taste all the flavors. Wayne was a great bartender very attentive. The food was amazing and the presentation was beautiful. I’m excited to come back again to try other entrees including the desserts.
Certainly one of the top restaurants in the city. Every detail has been throughly thought it. Epic menu, spirits list and wine list with seemingly one of the top staffs I've seen in a new restaurant.
Loved this new restaurant! Food was amazing. We had French onion soup and Ash salad. Simple menu but it was a culinary delight!! Freshly prepared and served. Try their Wagyu perogi appetizer and their main dish scallops. Service is wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect for Date night. not too noisy and very classy. Highly recommend!
Mateo was amazing! Very attentive and definitely trained by a true professional. I look forward to trying more cuisine in the future! Thank you for a great “Date Night”
We tried this because it was on the Indy Devour List. It does not disappoint. I had deviled eggs, corn chowder and the short ribs all are on the normal menu. Each item was beautifully plated and delicious. The flavor of the short ribs was particularly interesting and tasty. Had a cocktail that was well prepared. Will return to try other dishes and cocktails.
First off I have never gotten better service anywhere before. Top notch. The food was great. Large range of food and options. Great cocktails and at a good price. Looking forward to going again.
We came here for my birthday and got the empanadas (I will dream about these for weeks,) the French onion soup and the short rib. All were amazing. Highly recommend.
Great overall experience had my dolo bday dinner here.... the food tasted fresh and the mashed potatoes were sooo delicious. Great ambiance.
Dinner was phenomenal and the service was top notch ! Couldn’t say enough amazing things and Lauren was the best!
Excellent first experience. Awesome eclectic and varied menu. Fantastic artwork throughout. Great vibe. I recommended will return
We happened upon this place on our trip to Indy from Boston. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious, fresh food! Our bartender Kristine was an absolute delight, and Linda at the host stand was wonderful to chat with. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Indy. Thanks for the hospitality, Aberdeen!
The bleu salad, red snapper, mashed potatoes and banana cream pie were all delicious! Our server was wonderful. She was very friendly and anticipated everything that we needed.
This place is great but it's not well known. It's in the old Granite City location. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and there were only two other groups there. We had The Smoke Brisket Grill Chesse, and it was awesome. Someone had the burger and chicken tenders for the grandson. All were tasty. The service was great. We had a party of 9. The place was beautiful inside. They need to advertise.
This restaurant is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! The atmosphere from the moment you walk in is warm and creative. The menu, wine list and cocktails never disappoint. The innovated dishes are beautifully presented with unique flavor combinations. Do yourself a favor and make this restaurant a regular part of your dining rotation.
I just had lunch with some friends and I want to make sure you know about this place. We went to a place called Aberdeen Social House, and were we ever pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing. I had the Seasonal Salmon and oh my goodness the best ever. Everyone there was amazed how good everything tasted. then we all tried a dessert and believe me you can't go wrong with the pineapple upside down cake!!!
Great place! You can stop in with friends, family, date night, or plan a company outing. The service standard here is excellent. Great job, Aberdeen!
Went here for Galentine’s Day and sat on the beautiful outdoor patio. It was decorated so cute for Valentine’s Day! 2 of my friends tried the speciality menu and loved the sturgeon and marry me chicken! We all had the speciality Valentine’s Day drink which was made to perfection. Our server Liz was very attentive and even took pictures of our group. We will be back!
★★★★★ —Five stars, without hesitation. Aberdeen Social House is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t chase hype — it earns reverence. I went with a group of businessmen who truly know cuisine — well-traveled, discerning, not easily impressed — and by the end of the night there was unanimous agreement: this was one of the most delectable meals we’ve had in a long time 🍷✨ I ordered the dry-aged ribeye, and it was exceptional in every sense. Perfectly cooked, deeply beefy, rich yet balanced — the kind of steak that reminds you what craftsmanship tastes like 🥩🔥 Each bite carried intention, restraint, and confidence. The menu as a whole reflects that same philosophy: thoughtful, elevated, and precise without excess. Aberdeen doesn’t need to announce itself. It simply delivers at a level that speaks for itself. —CB
Aberdeen Social House is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates incredible food, a warm atmosphere, and top-tier service. I ordered the WTF roll and fish and chips and both were perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The wine selection was excellent and complemented the meal beautifully. Our server, Lauren, was wonderful. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, which made the entire experience even better. The aesthetic of the restaurant was also very special. Every detail feels intentional, from the tile work to the gorgeous artwork on the walls. I really enjoyed the beautiful space, amazing food, and flawless experience.
Delicious food and drinks! Best French onion soup (I get it traditional)! And we love the atmosphere! Arthur was our waiter and he was great! Def recommend going here if you haven’t!
This was my second time visiting the food was great. My server Ahkena was very friendly, attentive and she made sure we knew all the specials and her favorite dishes. I will continue to go back! Give this place a try! Very laid back atmosphere, delicious food and wonderful service!
The north side of Indy has been waiting for a spot like this. The swanky and welcoming vibes reflect the unique, quality dishes and cocktails. Our server, Liz and her support staff, were all top-notch, so kind, and accommodating to our party. I wish I took photos of our food and drinks because they were all beautiful and delish.
I had the lobster BLT which was very tasty but my wife had the grilled cheese and I had a few bites which was incredible. We can't wait to come back for the dinner menu if the lunch/brunch options were any indication, it'll be amazing,
This place was delightful. We arrived at 11am before the lunch rush and were delightfully doted upon! We had the seafood Gumbo soup and the seafood grits as our entree with a bread service. Everything was delicious!
Ahkena took time to explain the menu and drinks very well. Took her time and was a great server! Food was phenomenal as well! Good place for a date!
I came in for lunch and got the tonkatsu tenderloin, was one of the best sandwiches i’ve ever had, my server ahkena was very nice and accommodating to my requests, and the vibe was warm and quiet just how i like it music wasn’t too loud overall a wonderful experience.
We celebrated our anniversary at Aberdeen on a week night. Made a reservation and got sat right away. The server was friendly and helpful. The appetizer (Wagyu pierogi) was the best part of our meal, so tasty! Our entrees were good but steak was undercooked. Portions were generous and flavors unique.
Great atmosphere and attention. Staff were so welcoming. Good was good. Onion soup is a must to try. We try many plates and all they had good taste. Dessert was ok. Definitely need to try!
Decent dinner overall and the tuna tartar starter was delicious. Definitely want to come back and try additional appetizers. For the entrees, we had the Tournedos Rossini and Miso Black Cod (sablefish). The beef was undercooked (ordered medium rare, arrived rare) which was fine to me, but not what I ordered. They've only been open a couple of weeks so we'll probably give them a bit before returning.
This place is beautiful! The staff is also very friendly from the time you walk in. This place is very new as of this review, so will be back in some time to try again. Food was good but very very salty (short rib). Drinks were amazing. We sat in the bar area at a high top table and our server/bar tender was very nice, but he was given way too many people to tend to.
A pleasant restaurant in North Indy with good customer service. The ambiance and food were decent, and we enjoyed the brunch entrees, which turned out to be quite good.
Food was very good. Took a minute to cone out. Staff was attentive. Could be fine dining if polished a bit more. Worth a visit. Solid for a low key night, you can hear one another and tables are spaced well.
My wife and I ate there last weekend. The service was phenomenal and we really enjoyed our waitstaff. The decor is good as well. Drinks /cocktails were on point. The food was OK. We order two dishes from the brunch menu. I ordered a chicken sandwich ( can't remember the name ) and my wife ordered the chicken and chorizo. We were disappointed that both dishes were made from chicken thigh meat which is a way different texture from chicken breast ( which is typical for these type of dishes in my experience ). Recommend adding that detail to the menu because I think most people will chicken breast. That said, we'll give you another try!
Little pricey, but food was very, very good. I had halibut with risotto. The halibut was extremely tasty but the portion size was a little small for the price. The risotto was in a clump and very concentrated tasting instead of being creamy. However, I changed to the mashed potatoes which were very good. Definitely did not put me off and l will be going back. Their desserts were very well done also.
I did love the ambiance and service. Must try. I wasn’t very keen on the food. Bit salty for my taste. The quality was great and I get they are trying to push the bar with more infusion and twist. I would come back and try something else for sure. I went on week day and it was quiet and somewhat empty. I should come back in the weekend as they have nice vibe
Decor is beautiful. Restaurant was empty and it took a bit of time for us to get our food. I was in a party of 10. We all dine together often and the time to be served was a little longer than other restaurants. I had a burger and it was good. Nothing special or out of the ordinary just a good regular burger.
Cool vibe, food was decent but the salad had a lot of olive oil on it and the veggies in the entree didn’t seem fresh. It was kinda of loud and when our server took our water orders she said they had tap, sparkling or still. I figured she just said it weird and that she was offering us normal tap (still) water or sparkling water so I said still. Heads up that “still” means an $8 bottle of water that gets poured into your glass. Oops
I am severely disappointed with the service, so much so, that I will not be back. I made a reservation for 7pm for the main dining area, and we arrived promptly at 7pm. We were told our table was being cleaned, and would be ready shortly. We had our coats on, and was not offered coat check, it wasn’t until I saw others be offered that I asked if they would take our coats. We waited about 20 minutes past our reservation for a table, only to be brought out to the patio in lounge seating. I spoke up, and said I did not book the patio, I booked inside seating, and their response was “this is what we have”. Now I’m 7 months pregnant, lounge seating for a dinner reservation was not doable for me. I requested we be sat where I booked. I received no apology, the hostess simply said “it’s just one of those nights.” We waited an additional 20 minutes for a new table. This is now 40 minutes past our reservation time. Multiple other parties have come in and been sat while we waited, so I’m not sure why others reservations were honored, and ours wasn’t. We finally got sat around 7:40 pm. We were at the table for 15-20 minutes before someone came by and greeted us and gave us waters. At this point we’d been at the restaurant for an hour with no service. I looked over their cocktail menu, for a mocktail section, and was disappointed to see that their non-alcoholic section only had items like coffee, tea, soft drinks, sparkling water. Not a big deal, but disappointing. I asked for a larger glass of water because that was my only option for a drink, and I never received it. I had to ask for my water to be refilled several times. Our waitress was also uninformed on the menu. We asked what the “winter vegetables” for the pot roast, and she didn’t know. We also asked what tequilas they have and she didn’t know, said she would find out, but she never followed up. Lastly, my husband ordered lamb, and the waitress said they were running low but she’ll check if they still have some. About 15 minutes went by, Only to be told they were out…which isn’t a big deal that they were out, but it was the lack of urgency to communicate. For the price point of the restaurant, I expect a higher level of service. The food was excellent, so the back of the house is what saved this visit. However, the food cannot make up for the poor service. I really hope the owner reads this, and brings this to the wait staff and hostesses to improve the customer experience.
The”Ash Burger” had soggy bread and was not edible. The corn chowder soup was good. We had 3 in our party of 4 that the staff knew had birthdays before arrival and confirmed upon arrival. NOTHING was done to acknowledge the birthdays. NOTHING. When I called back to the restaurant to ask about their birthday/special occasion policy I was told they bring out a complimentary cupcake/cake. When I asked to speak to the mgr to confirm that we’d just left and that this didn’t happen during our visit, he apologized and asked what we wanted done? My profession is teaching customer service. If a manager of an establishment has to ask a customer that question that has already paid for their meals and left, then that explains why the restaurant wasn’t full of people and an almost empty parking lot on a Saturday evening at dinner time. I will not be going back. Very disappointed! ☹️
We dined here on New Year’s Eve and had a reservation, and to be fair, we were seated immediately. I started with a dirty martini, which was actually very good and probably the highlight of the night. Service was just okay overall. We initially had one server, then another took over after we placed our drink order and oddly mentioned she “was in the bathroom,” which felt unnecessary and a bit unprofessional. The appetizers were disappointing given the expectations. The lobster ricotta dumplings and bone marrow steak tartare were very mediocre in flavor, despite having a nice presentation. They simply didn’t deliver on taste. My entrée, the sea scallops, was some of the worst I’ve had. They were barely seared and came out either room temperature or undercooked. My wife’s chicken milanese was overwhelmingly salty to the point that we could hardly eat it. The server did notice and suggested sending us home with the bolognese lasagna, which we still had to pay for. Unfortunately, after trying it at home, it was just as excessively salty and ended up in the trash. I understand seasoning food well, and I normally enjoy saltier dishes, but this was truly unbearable across multiple plates. We came in with high hopes, especially for a special night like New Year’s, and left very let down. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning
