Lets begin with the vibe and ambience...perfect for meets and dates and groups or even family brunches. Loved the energy n interior. The food though, I had the French toast which had a bitter taste after taste. The caramelized donuts for starters were over done yet tasty. The roasted vegetables were well seasoned and my friend had the steak and eggs which were yummy. The mimosa was refreshing. All in all it was good.
I have been dining here since 2011. Service, food, and atmosphere are always top tier. Kristin S was our server and she was fantastic! All the staff is amazing and the food is absolutely incredible.
It was my first time going to Cooper’s Hawk to celebrate my 2025 birthday and it was SUPER AMAZING!!! The food was absolutely delicious. Very tasteful, the roasted vegetables had my taste buds popping. The medallion steak was so good. I came back three days later with my bestie but she wanted to take me to the Avon location… but both places the atmosphere was great. Everyone was so nice including the front staff, waitresses, and even other guest wished me all happy birthday. It was the best birthday I’ve had in a year lol 🤩🥳🙌
This was my first visit. We arrived for a late lunch. This was a very nice atmosphere. The service was exceptional and the food was wonderful. The brussel sprouts were fantastic and with such a large portion we ended up sharing our entree, the Mahi sandwich, which I would recommend. Will definitely be back.
Wine Tastings, Membership for More Wine, Wine Time with Friends? All of the above? YES! We love Cooper’s Hawk. We literally look forward to grabbing two bottles every month, and we love that we can convert our two wine tastings into two glasses of wine when we dine at the restaurant. We’ve had the $15 birthday discount, and that gave us a free appetizer (and they even give you a free dessert on your birthday!). They are a company that is dedicated to excellence. I do think that even when it gets crowded, there are many areas to sit and stand while waiting for a table. The restaurant has a big parking lot, and we always find a place to park. The overall atmosphere is relaxing, and I love the dimmer lighting to make it more romantic. I know my wife and I have a challenge getting out of the house for two dates when we are raising up two littles but it’s so worth it! If you are in need of some good company, trying some new wine, or just want to experience a unique restaurant that has the customer service at the top of mind, you need to visit. And be sure to try the membership! Worth every penny!
Their calamari with sirach aioli is the bomb. Food was great and service was awesome. Will definitely visit again.
This was the best date night experience with my lover. We started our meal with the warm loaf of pretzel bread they bring you and I ordered the pear drop martini and had the calamari and Brussel sprouts appetizer. They were absolutely delisshh and I am not a fan of Brussels sprouts but everyone kept telling me I had to try them and I was not disappointed one bit! I had the parmesan crusted medallion and scallops gratin and it was soooo yummy! My mashed potatoes were a bit mid but next time will try the other special ones with the razzle dazzle. My hubby had the Mahi Mahi and wasabi mash even that was great and I hate fish usually. I give this place 5 stars and we finished our meal with the caramel creme brulee and the crackle on the top was perfection! They had a lovely selection of wines to try and the waiter was on point! I cannot wait to go back again. It is a bit expensive but the ambience and food is totally worth it if your celebrating your anniversary or want to impress your date or coworkers this is the place to go to!
Great for dinner dates or girls night! Big selection of wines and food is good! Be prepared to wait a bit but it’s worth it!
Made reservations a couple of days ahead of time and upon our arrival the system was down and they were packed. Standing room only and they were able to get us seated close to on time.
Absolutely superb! The Brussel Sprouts were killer! Everything was Delish! Thanks to my daughter for sharing this delight and greatness😊
A few of the men brought our pastor to Cooper's Hawk Friday evening for his birthday. The service was great and the food was delicious. It was so good, I brought my wife there that Sunday evening. We both had appetizers and received our order soon after. our server was very kind, professional, and polite. We will continue to come back to Cooper's Hawk for a great meal and beautiful atmosphere.
We had a work meeting in the bar area. Everyone was nice and kind. The server was very hospitable. Very enjoyable experience
Excellent dining experience with my daughter and a friend. Great service and family-friendly atmosphere! I enjoyed and highly recommend the Blackened Ahi Tuna with Asian Slaw.👍👍👍👍
Our group had an enjoyable dining experience. There were 5 guests and the server was attentive. The food was good, and would visit again in the future.
Lissa at the 96th street location will solve all of your problems and meet all of your needs. Bubbly, attentive and happy to help, she is the best waitress in the place. The food is divine and the wine tasting are a wonderful experience. Club membership benefits are pretty awesome as well. Check out the club member dinners!
Sam is truly the greatest server and bartender — warm, attentive, and absolutely on point from start to finish. The food was already wonderful, but the moment Chef Patrick appeared with his house-made barbecue sauce, everything went from incredible to unforgettable. It’s rare these days to have an executive chef personally visit your table, and it made the experience feel genuinely special. Chef Patrick isn’t just talented — he might honestly be the greatest chef on Earth. Copper’s Hawk on 96th Street has my heart. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend to ask for Julie to be your server. Very friendly and personable. Great food and relaxing atmosphere. We lucked out as it wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon. Recommend reservations.
Always come here for special occasions with friends and wine and food are always great! Service is also friendly and very Gwen is a funny server and the other servers we have had have also been great! Will definitely come back for more food and wine!
Went during happy hour and sat at the bar. They do a full menu anywhere you sit. They also have a tasting rooom for wine. I would prefer a few more beer selections, but they do have a Coppers Hawk Ale that is made by Goose Island and aged in wine barrels. It was very tasty. I will go again for sure, but it does get very busy so go early. I ate off the appetizer menu this time, but everything looked awesome and everyones plate around me made me want to over eat. I have no idea why it took me so long to go the first time.
I had a better experience today. I sat outside. My server was great and so was the service. He was very attentive. I didnt catch his name though. He made sure I had everything I needed. I let him knkw that my dessert was bad the past few times. He let me know that if it wasn't right, he'd take care of it. I didn't have any issues. This is the Cooper Hawk that I know. Thank you. The bathroom was clean. I was greeted when I walked in. I recommend adding another mocktail to the menu.
Allison was extremely professional and great to our table. She definitely deserves the recognition.
This place has a nice, fancy yet casual ambiance with low lighting, people chatting, and enjoying good food and wine. It's a bit too noisy to be romantic. Awesome gift shop.Service and food were outstanding. The pretzel bread is very good. We started with Candied Bacon & Artisan Cheese Plate, which was my favorite, amazing, then ordered the Churrasco steak, accompanied by fries and vegetables (no complaints),well portioned and seasoned. Romance wine (sweet)was the choice of the night .you get a free bottle of choice with the membership. Then, we finished with Truffles and Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée. It was a wonderful experience. Definitely will be back.
Wow! We had a small gathering (about 30’people) for a retirement party. Reserved the private room, pre-ordered appetizers and the quantity they suggested was spot on. Our server Cassandra was efficient and friendly, remembering drinks for refills and delivering everything timely. The room was elegant and cozy. The host was excellent at helping us pull off the surprise. We’ve had dinner here before and enjoyed it a lot, but this event was really a show stopper. Thanks crew for a memorable evening!
Most definitely a scenic place. I enjoyed my happy hour flight and appetizer. My server was Makayla she was Most definitely top tier. I never had to look for her. She was on time with everything including the bill🤣. 10/10 recommend.
The food was great, we went on Valentine’s Day and had a reservation. Was definitely busy but service was good! The server messed up our app order because he assumed so I couldn’t eat during to an allergy but my boyfriend said it was still good! I’ve been in during happy hour and the apps are so good! Definitely want a reservation though for dinner!
This is one of my go to places. I love the food and my wife loves the wine. My go to is the trio medallions. They are always perfectly cooked. If you are looking for a great restaurant and according to my wife great wine I highly recommend Coopers Hawk and if you want great service request to be seated in Ilene’s section. She is amazing!!!!!!
I have had my Cooper’s hawk membership for a couple of years. I love the wine and the food. I love the tastings when I can get in- wish the room was a little bigger so it could accommodate more people!! Now on to the service - if you want a great experience ask for Ilene - she will not disappoint. She is amazing and I love her to pieces!!!!
As an ambassador of the wine club and a member of the wine club for over a decade I’d just like to pass along some of my favorite people. Barb in the bar and Peg in the tasting room really make our experience amazing each and every time!
Great day with friends! Our server was the best. She took such good care of us! The prime rib sandwich was so good and absolutely loved the Lavendar Bees Knees wine!
I have been a member for several years and have always had great experiences. For about the last year my service has not been o par with my expectations until Ilene. If not for Ilene I would cancel my membership. She is absolutely amazing. She’s friendly and attentive and has the best sense of humor. She is a true delight!!!! If she ever leaves I will more than likely cancel my membership. She makes every experience a great one. **I would also like to note that for some reason when I ask to be seated in her section when I make reservations that is not always honored. That is very frustrating as that is my only request ever.
This place does it pretty well. We've eaten at this location and the Avon one. Food is good, priced reasonably. Menu is suitable for most pallets, not too wild. Steak cooked as ordered. Fast attentive service. I appreciate the space in this location. It isn't crazy crowded with tables where you feel like your in someone's way just for standing up.
We came with a larger group. We started with doing the tasting. James was awesome and walked us through all of the different wines. The tasting area was pretty crowded though and we were shoulder to shoulder with people the entire time. There was nowhere to sit so we had to stand the whole time. Not my favorite way to enjoy wine. Dinner took forever. The waiter got our wines mixed up too. But dinner took about an hour and a half. I wouldn't recommend this place for a quick bite by any means. Tons of tables were open and there was a long line waiting for tables as we left so we're not sure why they didn't want to turn tables efficiently. The food was really good though! The lobster bisque was really good as were all of the pasta dishes. Well probably be back but we'll be sure to budget for a more European style of dinner
Upon walking in it felt really alive and friendly. Server was really friendly and helpful . Food was a little late getting out but all came out hot . Gnocchi Alla Vodka was great and flavorful just wish it had a little more sausage .
We first tried the one in Avon this time we went to fishers. Everything was still good but everything was better in Avon service food and atmosphere

I want to start by saying that the food was wonderful! The service was super slow. The poor waitress ended up apologizing and letting us know that they seated 4 tables at the same time in different areas of the restaurant and gave all 4 to her! It took us forever to get drinks and even longer to get food. We still left her a good tip because it seemed as if it wasn't her fault. She was running around like crazy trying her best to take care of everyone. Maybe they are understaffed? Maybe disorganized? But if you're going to this location on a Friday or Saturday night, I'd say bring your patience.
The first thing I noticed when I walked into the restaurant was the crowd and noise. The place was packed with prom goers. I had a 7 o’clock reservation but had to wait 22 minutes for my party to be seated. We ordered drinks and for appetizers the egg rolls and bruschetta. Surprisingly, both were served in a fair amount of time and they were delectable. For dinner, I ordered the pistachio crusted grouper. Two people in my party ordered the parmigiana chicken and one ordered the salmon. We all agreed the food was delicious and well seasoned, except for the asparagus. It was way overcooked and mushy, but the Asian slaw and Brussels sprouts were definitively the highlights of the meal. The Brussels were crispy and had an airiness about them and the Asian Thai favors paired well with the egg rolls and Salmon. For dessert, I received complimentary a white and chocolate candy truffles. We ordered the s’mores’ and chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream. They were absolutely delicious.
This was a lovely, lively outing with family. We started with the wine tasting experience. The experience didn't match the esthetic. I'll explain: Upon entry you are greeted and then they check your reservation before pointing you in the direction of the line in the bar, winery area. We waited in line for approximately 15 minutes before we were waved over to the bar to begin the tasting. You stand during the whole thing which seems obsurd to me. Feels like a liability. The options were sweet or mixed wine tasting. It is self paced and costs $14 or $20 with a souvenir glass. The bartenders set up 2 glasses and pour healthy servings of various wines in each glass until you reach 8 different wines. After our party finished tasting wines, we were seated in a secluded corner at the huge round table with 12 chairs. I love this table. In the center, there is a lazy Susan that makes sharing appetizers very easy. There were more wine tastings offered. I recommend the Southwestern Eggrolls, potstickers, and drunken shrimp for appetizers. For diner I selected Surf and Turf with the Chimmichurri Steak and Salmon. This was served with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. It was good. My only notes are that, the menu should denote that serving sizes of both proteins are halved. For the price of $40.99, I expected whole proteins. The atmosphere was classic: very dark, moody, almost romantic; however, I would not consider it the most congruent branding and execution of an aesthetic considering everyone who had been before wore very casual clothing.
After a day of wine tasting in Nashville, Indiana my cousin suggested Cooper Hawk. My first time at Copper hawk and I was definitely pleased. Luke was our server reserved but very nice. We had 3 in our party and we all ordered the Braise Rib Risotto. Absolutely phenomenal I had them make mine with a kick (red pepper flakes)and it delivered just what I expected! I'll definitely be back! I think we have one in Georgia now can't wait to try it out! Thanks Luke Happy Early Birthday 🎈🎉🎂🎉🎈
My waitress was amazing! The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. However, the burger I had was so greasy that I couldn't even finish it. The taste of oil was overwhelming and my bun just fell apart. The pretzel bread and fries were good, though.
Very nice meal. Our server Lisa, was excellent. My wife had the salmon and I had the sweet corn and tomato risotto. We had the caprese flatbread appetizer. Overall, the food was very good. My wife had the Super Italiano red wine and I had the Curtis Stone Australian red. We enjoyed both wines with the meal. Beautiful restaurant in a great location near Keystone mall.
Let me start by saying that I truly love Cooper’s Hawk. Whenever I visit Indianapolis, it’s almost a tradition for me to dine there. I’ve always had great experiences, which is why this particular visit was so surprising and disappointing. My friends planned a happy hour meet-up at the restaurant on Friday. When we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, which we really appreciated. The issue began after we placed our order. Our food took about 30 minutes to arrive, and even then, one item was missing. We waited another 25 minutes for the final item, and unfortunately, when it did arrive, it was incorrect. I do want to recognize our waitress, Susan, who was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, apologetic, and clearly doing her best in what seemed like a very busy situation. The manager also stepped in and kindly comped a few items on our bill, which we appreciated. The food was hot, fresh and very good. However, overall, the experience was not pleasant. We were there for nearly three hours waiting on food, the check, and then to pay the tab. It was frustrating, especially because this is the first time I’ve ever had an experience like this at Cooper’s Hawk. I’m hopeful this was just an off night and that management can improve how happy hour is handled to ensure guests aren’t left waiting so long. I genuinely enjoy this restaurant and look forward to having the consistently great experiences I’ve come to expect in the future.
To start off the waiter was nice. The complimentary pretzle bread was actually very good, soft and chewy. Since the bread was good and the reviews for this place was good I was very excited and conflicted on what to get. I eventually settled on the scallop shrimp risotto since Im a big seafood lover! Didn't take too long thankfully for them to bring it over but just looking at it I could tell, they had overcooked the scallops 🥲 and shrimp. OK no biggie I could get over that since not everyone can do it right but then I tried the risotto. There was more peas/carrots/asparagus /spinach then rice. Also the asparagus were all cut up in different lengths? So some were under/overcooked sadly. I actually couldn't even eat half of it since the overwhelming taste of peas and corn was just a bit much for me. My boyfriend had the mash potatoes and some type of steak which was good.
Visited 7/27 First time We ordered off brunch menu, they also had regular menu My friend & I got the ‘eggs anyway’ 3 eggs however you like, potatoes, toast, bacon or sausage …. $14.98 good value $5 mimosa’s during brunch Two free wine tastings! Only complaint is service was SO SLOW! Took forever, I mean forever to get a drink, order, get food etc I thought I over heard server say she was the only one in the bar area, which was super busy…& loud Server was pleasant just spread too thin Don’t think id return just do to how slow everything was
Staff was great and attentive. Vibe was nice.. food was mid, I almost thought it was a joke. The plate I got didn’t match the description.. short rib risotto looked more like roast with rice and broth. Good flavor but $35 for watered down gravy and shreds of roast & cheese is kinda crazy
First time dinning at Cooper's Hawk, I had great expectations. It was a large group of my fellow sorority sisters and while our server was kind and attentive and got the job done, he didnt have enough assistance in my opinion. The wine, fabulous, Id go back based on that alone. The food was just meh, I wanted it to be better. The mash potatoes were cold and gluey consistency. All-in-all I expected more and would be willing to try it one more time.
The food is okay, not what I would expect from a restaurant at this price point. Service is tied directly to individuals and my server spent too much time talking to people at the expense of doing his duties, such as putting in orders. It is fine, and probably encouraged, to talk to the customers, but I would expect orders to be put in before spending 3-5 mins chatting with customers about mutual friends.
Wasn't a fan of atmosphere at all. Big, cold and extremely loud. The food was ok. I did love the calamari though. We went for Thanksgiving. They did offer a Thanksgiving dinner. None of us got it. The veggies were almost raw. I didn't take any pics as I normally do the plating was just regular plating.
Thanksgiving was a very disappointing Holiday at Cooper's Hawk. The positives include a warm atmosphere & kind greeting from the front lobby. The dinner came out within 10 minutes of ordering We sat at the bar about 2:30 PM. The bartender was average at best. Her demeanor was stressed although the bar was not full. Not the friendly service one would expect from fine dining and the menu prices. There was plenty of seating. We never did receive the pretzel bread we requested. We ordered the Turkey Dinner. Our soups were barely warm. The vegetables very overcooked, green beans so dry with burnt pieces & carrots overcooked. Our Turkey was quite dry and one of our plates all the pieces were crispy ends and overcooked. The dressing was bland without flavor. The best part was the Pumkpin Cheesecake. We took our desserts home and waited a considerable amount of time to receive it. We will not be returning. There are plenty of other restaurants in the Indy area with far better food and service. Out of courtesy, for being a Holiday, we left a 20% tip. Normally we would have left more but could not justify it.
1st time visitor, booked a reservation for birthday dinner party. My opinion, Our waiter’s service was not good. He was moving too fast, and Would walk away before we got the chance to ask for anything else. Wish we wouldve had one that was more attentive and good with parties, making sure we are good before leaving the table. Also, my appetizer did not come out hot😕. For my main entrée, it came out wrong, onion straws were way too salty. Stayed thirsty because Drink refills came out super slow. Also, my son’s kids meal cheeseburger came out pink, waiter also never asked how i wanted it cooked. With how our food was, and the service, i dont see this as a place i would re-visit. This is supposed to be an upscale restaurant, so i expected way better.
