These days every city must have a few hot pot all you can eat buffet shabu style restaurant and Irvine CA is no different. I visited my brother in Irvine and he took us to this Dpot next to the Irvine lake which is very nice. The Irvine company really did a great job for this area. The dinner for 5 came out over $200. I believe $37/person. I like briskets but not many hot pots have them because they're expensive or any other reasons. This place has a very special dish called steamed bacon which is very different, light, and delicious. The veggies bar and seafood bar don't have many choices like Shabuya in Milpitas or Seapot in Sunnyvale. The meats are limited too, but it's OK, the Korean miso soup I had wasn't great, I had to make the soup myself with other ingredients. The services are quite attentive and quick. The place is clean and modern looking. They do have appetizers like fried chicken and pot belly which my brother likes. I think the chicken in Shabuya better. Anyhow, it's a nice restaurant in a great park, a little walk over the bridge is the Irvine lake, quite beautiful at night with all the chairs and gazebos for family to sit and enjoy the air.
It's just really good. It's not an overcrowded buffet. They bring out dishes to you. The meat stackers are delicious. I also like the sauce station. Lots of options to mix. I've been there 5 times and it's the same quality each time. It can be a very long wait though. There aren't a lot of two tops, so the four tops are a bit of wasted space. Be prepared to wait on a weekend.
Options, options, options. Delicious broth options, delicious meat options, and lots of greens. It was our first visit and service was amazing. Can’t wait to be back.
AYCE hot pot nights are always the best! I tried: 1. Wagyu beef, premium cuts, prime chuck top blade 2. Steamed meat stacker 3. Unlimited veggies and seafood 4. Appertizers: chicken karaage, fried pork belly fried dumplings 5. Drinks: coke, sparkling apple, sparkling yuzu
Nice food for the shabu lovers but they do offer your check while you are still eating. Severs and cashier rush you to get out from the store. ... lol
The all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu restaurant was excellent! The surrounding area was very clean, and the quality of the meat and vegetables at the salad bar was impressively fresh. There were multiple broth options, and the meat was delicious. Even the small bites I tried were all tasty. I would 100% visit again!
This place not only offers unlimited shabu-shabu but also unlimited Pyunbaek Jjim, which is a huge plus. Pyunbaek Jjim is a dish where thinly sliced meat (you can choose the type) is steamed over cabbage or napa cabbage using a Hinoki wood steamer. I loved that I could enjoy this dish here, which is usually only available in Korea. The meats were sliced so thin that they cooked quickly in the broth, had an incredibly tender texture, and didn’t make the broth overly greasy. If you're coming here, make sure not to wear tight pants! Not only is there unlimited meat, but also a variety of fresh seafood and so many noodle options—you can keep eating nonstop. I especially loved that they had my favorite, Chinese wide glass noodles! At the end of the meal, they provided a pre-prepped porridge bowl with eggs and seaweed flakes, which made it so convenient. (If you have allergies, it’s best to let them know in advance.) The interior was spotless, and the service was excellent. The staff checked on us before we even had to ask for anything. And to top it all off, the Korean rice punch slush or pear slush at the end made for the perfect sweet finish!
I had the pleasure of dining at Dpot in California, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The concept of each person getting their own hotpot is not only unique but also incredibly fun. It allows everyone to customize their meal to their liking, which is a fantastic idea, especially for group dining. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch, which is impressive for an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) restaurant. The variety of fresh vegetables, meats, and seafood was extensive, ensuring that there was something for everyone. The broths were flavorful and rich, adding a delightful depth to the hotpot experience. Overall, Dpot offers a great combination of quality and quantity, making it a must-visit for hotpot enthusiasts. Whether you’re a seasoned hotpot lover or trying it for the first time, Dpot is sure to impress with its innovative concept and high-quality offerings.
First time at this popular Korean Shabu place. We were a party of 5 and on a Friday night had to only wait 15 mins for a table. They have a nice selection of meats and a nice bar for all the veggies, seafood and noodles for your Shabu. The first chicken was great tasting although a bit fatty. The best meat was topper. Really nice and tender, followed by the ribeye. We tried the half and half stacker. No one in our party was a fan of the stalker. Fairly fatty. I must have had 3 orders of the topper by myself. Dinner is about $34 a person. Our server was a young man who was very attentive to our needs and explained everything to us patiently. I tried the spicy ponzu sauce and the sesame sauce. I recommend the sesame with a bit of chili sauce mixed in. It goes nice with all the meats.
This was absolutely the best hot pot place ever!! I’ve just recently started eating at different hot pot places and they haven’t really hit the mark. But what can I say about this place! The food, staff, entire vibe of this resto and area is amazing! I got the bulgolgi broth and my wife got the spicy pork broth! You can also mix, but the broths are tasty just as is too. They give you recommendations on what to try and mix together ie- cold soba noodles with broth and meat 🤤🤤 Highly recommend the rib eye and top cut. There are a bunch of different sides and you can even get crab and shrimps too! Wide variety of veggies and selection to make your dipping sauce. All you can eat for 35$ each for great tasting food and ambiance- 100% worth it and definitely coming back
A great AYCE hot pot place! They got a buffet with a lot of veggies and seafood and other goodies but be careful filling up on these as the meats are what you're paying for. They have a decent selection of meats and the portions they give you are quite small so just try them all. Then get seconds and thirds of the things you really like. We actually really liked the box of steamed meats (forgot what it was called) and ended up getting two! Service is attentive and friendly as well so that was a nice cherry on top. Food: 8/10 Service: 7/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 Value: 7/10
To be honest, I was a little surprised when they switched to AYCE. However, they exceeded my expectations! We went on a Sunday with the price per person being $33.99. Not bad at all! The AYCE selection was wonderful, meats were high quality and yummy- especially the galbi eye steam stacker!! Super soft and delicious. Ribeye and chuck tender were very good as well. There was a great selection of blue crab, manila clams, shrimp, squid, mussels, assorted fish balls, and veggies. Everything was fresh and frequently refilled. The staff here are always wonderful- great teamwork and amazing service. The girls on the floor were moving super quickly and knew what they were doing!! The whole team here is always on top of things. Definitely worth it! Not only do you get a variety of meats, seafood, and veggies, but there's also hot dishes like fried chicken, samgyeobsal, porridge, etc. all included.

Orange County, I've got D place for you ;) This is dPot in Irvine where they've got all-you-can-eat shabu, insane-looking meat stackers, bossam, soba noodles, and even other things we didn't get a chance to try! You know those shabu places where the soup bases are honestly kind of mid and you need the sauces to come in clutch? Nah, not at dPot. A total of 9 soup bases to choose from and each is PACKED with unique flavor. There's even a new bulgogi one that tastes EXACTLY like the marinated meat, like how did they freakin' nail it?? And a Korean spicy rice cake base that was my favorite. If that wasn't flavortown enough for ya, don't worry, their DIY sauce bar's got ya. And I had to try a little hack recommended by the staff, wrap the meat from the stackers around the soba noodles and you've got yourself the perfect bite of savory and refreshing~ And did I mention all of this was unlimited??? We definitely left with very happy bellies ^_^ Thanks for reading! ^-^
The food quality is excellent, soup base is very good, all you can eat is worth it, will definitely come back again
Love visiting dPot unlimited when we are craving hot pot. They offer a great variety of broths, meats, appetizers and meat steamers (which consist of a square steamer basket filled with napa cabbage and choice of meat). The staff is always very attentive and the bar area is always fully stocked with sauces/condiments to prepare your dipping sauce, veggies, seafood and noodles. On top of the bar, they offer different types of packaged ramen. At the end of the meal, they offer a small cup of their delicious fruity slushie, which is very good to clean your palette and complete your meal.
Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this spot! First of all, their Wagyu Stacker is hands down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had — it’s incredible every single time. The buffet is always spotless and well-maintained, which I really appreciate. It’s also super family-friendly. I’ve been here with both large groups and smaller parties, and they’re always accommodating and welcoming. The pricing feels very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. You can truly taste the difference — the meat quality is excellent. They also offer outdoor seating, and dogs are allowed on the patio, which is a huge plus. It’s consistently delicious every time I visit. I’ll definitely be coming back anytime I’m in Irvine!

This All-You-Can-Eat spot offers a truly unique culinary adventure! While some of the cuts, like the steamed meats and certain portions labeled as wagyu, lean heavily toward a richer, fattier profile (perfect for fat lovers!), the quality of the main event—the ribeye—was genuinely solid and a standout star. The presentation is clever, showcasing a variety of textures and cuts. Importantly, the non-meat elements truly shine: the veggies were wonderfully crisp and fresh, adding a perfect balance. And you absolutely must try the fried dumplings—they were a surprising highlight, perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully juicy inside. Although the broths lacked some of the deeper complexity I usually look for (they felt lighter, almost like a delicately flavored base), the overall execution was flawless. For the price, you get an attentive and lightning-fast service team, ensuring your table is always stocked and clean. It’s definitely worth the $50 for the sheer variety, quality ribeye, and those unforgettable dumplings!
Ayce hotpot. Once a broth is chosen, it cannot be changed to a different type later. However you can start with a light flavored broth and request to add a strong flavor broth to your existing broth perhaps half way thru your meal. >Order the meat thru wait staff >Get your own veggie, noodles n seafood from the bar >Get your own dipping sauce Enjoy...
I would definitely recommend this spot if you're craving all you can eat hot pot. Solid selection of meat and additional food items. Only negative I had was service is a bit slow. Besides that I would come back again. I think I prefer All That Shabu but having another option is nice if we're catching a movie nearby.

First of all their services was so amazing! All the workers was really nice, friendly and very attentive. The food quality is really good and very good price, i like to try all hot places, and i found this places just randomly on the yelp. The meat came in really thin, but its all you can eat. So i think its really perfect portion, thin slices for the hot pot. So you dont get full right away. There also a stacker full of meat, its the same meat and they steamed it with vegies. Its something that i never seen any other hot pot places. Its kinda uniqe style. It taste pretty amazing paired with the sauces of your choices. The sauces and all the side dishes display at the buffet bar style, you can get as much as you want. And however you want it. So many options, this place easily get 5 stars review. However i took one off because the fish, i tried the pullock fish, it doesnt look too fresh, and after i ate it, it has the bad smell on it and like smushy. But thats doesnt ruin my appetite. I still love the whole vibes and my dinner there. Also they dont have anything for the dessert lol. I spot a container of the dipping dots, and was little excited thinking at the end they will serve you an ice cream but nothing. Lol This location is in very nice place, after dinner you can just walk around the area, such a nice view. Has a plenty seat outside, just to chill.
I had a great experience with this local business! The staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. The service was quick without feeling rushed, and the quality exceeded my expectations. You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in their work. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending them to friends and family.
Overall a decent experience, though not without its shortcomings. The vegetable selection felt a bit limited, which was a letdown for a hotpot place. One highlight though — the oranges were surprisingly good (I may have helped myself to about 10 slices, no regrets). On the meat side, the quality was acceptable but nothing exceptional. That said, the galbi and chuck roll were standout cuts worth ordering. For sides, the crispy dumplings and spicy pork belly were both solid choices and worth adding to your table. A couple of things I’d skip on a return visit: the steamed meat felt unnecessary — that protein is better off going straight into the hotpot. And if you’re going in hoping the Thai soup is a proper tom yum, nope. Wouldn’t recommend it. Stick to the soybean paste or beef broth — both were noticeably better and more satisfying bases. Worth a visit if you’re in the mood for hotpot, but go in knowing what to order (and what to avoid).
All You Can Eat Fat! Let's be real, if you saw these cuts of meat anywhere else you prob wouldn't spend money on them. The wagyu is like 90% fat and the steamed meats are just strips of fat. They line it up to show the meat but each strip is mostly fat. By the end of the meal I felt gross. I will say that the ribeye was pretty solid. The veggies were pretty crisp and fresh. The broths didn't have much depth to them, felt like flavored water, especially the pho broth. The fried dumplings were probably my favorite thing, crispy and juicy. But hey if I'm gonna drop $50 for just ribeye I might as well get 2 big juicy steaks and eat at home. Service was very attentive and quick, but pretty impersonal.

I’ve given dPot three separate chances, and somehow each visit managed to be just as disappointing as the last. The food itself is fine, not great, not memorable, just okay. The atmosphere is also decent. It’s a nice-looking, cozy little restaurant. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The service is consistently awful. Long waits, inattentive staff, and an overall feeling that customers are an inconvenience rather than the reason the place exists. Every visit felt disorganized and frustrating from start to finish. The prices are outrageous for what you get. Nothing about the experience justifies the cost, especially when there are at least 10 other shabu places in the immediate area that offer better service, better value, and a smoother experience overall. None of them are perfect, but every single one is far more worth your time and money than this place. At this point, I can confidently say I won’t be back. With so many better options nearby, there is simply no reason to choose dPot unless you enjoy overpaying for poor service.
