Outstanding whiskey list which they'll breakdown into flights. The server and bartender setup the flight of 3 bourbons and 1 rye expertly. Appetizers were excellent. The wagyu steak was phenomenal. Our sever was very helpful and everything she recommended was delicious. I highly recommend Twenty Eight and look forward to returning.

Amazing restaurant with outstanding service and food. Everyone is extremely attentive, helpful, and professional. We held a company event here and everything from the room itself, to the food, to the attention to detail was incredible! Our guests had nothing but good things to say. I personally had the steak, and it was delicious!

I was in town on a business trip and decided to try this spot out with a couple friends. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the ambiance and the bartender. We ordered a bottle of wine and the sausage penne pasta. I initially ordered the linguini but was not impressed. They changed out my meal with no problem. The scallion bread is really good too. I'll definitely be back to visit.

Food and service was excellent! We ordered Old Fashioneds based on our palate preferences and the bartender hit it right on the nose. We got a nicr smokey one for my partner and a smooth, slightly sweeter one for me. I started feeling ill (unrelated to the food!) just as the food was coming out but my partner really enjoyed his meal. I had my dinner the next day and it was even good reheated! Will definitely visit again!

I'd been wanting to try this place for a while, and I'm so glad I finally did. The food was soooo flavorful; even the bread was amazing. The atmosphere was super cozy. Plus our server, Rolando, was fantastic! I'll be back.

Great Service and wonderful food. Visited during OC Restaurant Week and even though we ordered off the $40 fixed menu they treated us like royalty. Awesome experience.

My coworker selected this restaurant for a post-work dinner and I was a little nervous as I’m not much of a steak person. I shouldn’t have worried though because the Linguine is one of the best things I have ever tasted. For me it was one of those dishes where every bite leaves you thinking “This is so damn good!” Finished dinner with the Bourbon Apple Crisp and that is not to be slept on either. I would gladly visit again if I ever found myself back in the area.

My wife and I won a gift certificate to this restaurant a few months ago, and decided recently to use it. WOW! We were stunned that we had never heard of this place before, especially given how frequently we eat out. We were so impressed by the cocktails and food that we have gone back 3 times in the last month. The whisk(e)y selection is world class and the creativity of Leo the bartender is definitely to be experienced! The service is polite, accommodating, and friendly. We are big fans of Alley (spelled phonetically). She is sunshine in a pretty package! If you like creative food or just a plain steak, this is The Place to eat! Enjoy!

Excellent place! Delicious food. Amazing wine list and great selection of crafted cocktails. The dining area is nice but does get loud with large groups. I highly recommend. The only complaint is we felt rushed. We were still eating dinner when we were given our dessert menu. Otherwise service was excellent.

Visual ambience very nice and open. Very noisy and clangy in the garden outsidish portion. Parked in the lot across from Google at no cost and about about 45 steps more then the $5 valet. The server was very personable and knowledgable about the food. I had the salmon cooked to about medium- tasty with modest portion. And the chicken, also tasty, but the texture was a bit rubbery soft

This location is definitely hidden (might be on purpose) but if you work at Google or one of the neighboring offices like I do, you may have seen it. Even the chic facade does not live up to the charm inside. The decor is very open with the entire main sitting area cloaked in the soft lighting of a wall to wall skylight. I would recommend for a lunch meeting with or grabbing a drink with a co-worker. I had the grilled salmon, skin on which was cooked perfectly. My CEO and his wife had the same and they had enjoyed it the same (they were in town from NYC if that gives you an idea of pallate) We started with the shrimp salad, which was good, but not my favorite or outstandingly tasty, so I would recommend to go with the staffs recommendations. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable. The notable difference here vs others is that there is a large group table area to the side which also has a large tv that looks ready to hook up to do a presentation. Prefect for an exec retreat or team quarter recap. The room looked like it can be closed off from the rest of the restaurant. There is also a medium sized banquet room at the back of the restaurant. PRICE: JUST BELOW EXPECTED We had a group of 12 with a few bottles of champagne some starters and it was under $500 SOUND: COMFORTABLE LOW It was not very full when we were there, but I would be comfortable having a meeting and not being concerned about being able to hear each other at all. AMBIANCE: MODERN CHIC AND ON TREND Very fitting with the current styles you see in restoration hardware and Instagram bloggers. Seating is not in a good format and seats are not consistent in style making for an eclectic surrounding FOOD: GOOD The main entre was fantastic with a mango sauce and couscous. After leaving the food was not what I was describing to people though, the style was. Hope this is helpful!

Easily the best place in Irvine that most people still don't know about. Underrated gem with the best cocktails and steak in the area. If Leo is working the bar, don't order off the menu, give him the flavor profile you are looking for and let the man cook. A true genius in making cocktails that are god tier. Favorite spot ever

The best steak you can get here In OC! Every food we ordered was amazing and deliciously done. Steak is so satisfying to our mouth never heard anything negative about the restaurant. Everybody in the group was really satisfied! Our servers are outstanding and one of the best customer service i been to.

Came here for my birthday with my wife and wanted to try a restaurant that fit both of our appetites (I like seafood and she’s more into steaks). Found this hidden gem and was greeted by the hostess who was friendly and attentive. Sat us down and our waitress Lisa came and helped us choose what we were craving. Very knowledgeable with drinks, entrees, and even went out of her way and got me a little tart for my birthday. Lisa made this night very memorable to say the least. Thank you for a great experience Twenty Eight and Lisa!

Tons of cool cocktail options, the wagyu is to die for as expected. But those Brussels sprouts are next level! Liz and Haley were both awesome and very attentive servers, we were very well taken care of. I was visiting from Seattle, and this was a perfect way to experience the area.

The entire staff was amazing. From the host to our server Allie, to the food runners; what a great experience. Everyone made us felt welcomed. We had the Bone Marrow, Tiger Shrimp, Wagyu, and Lobster Mac. The Caesar Salad was the best I've ever had. Truly a hidden gem.

This was my third visit, and it never disappoints! The first two times were dinner dates with my boyfriend, but this time I came with my girlfriend and we sat at their super cute bar. They have an impressive whiskey selection, and Leo, who’s been our bartender for all three visits is absolutely fantastic! The cocktails here are next-level! I had a few of the “Do the Hokey Toki,” which is now my go-to. Leo also crafted a pineapple based cocktail for my friend, but she ended up switching to mine because it was THAT good! We got so lost in conversation that we stayed until closing, and Leo was incredibly patient and never rushed us out. I just love the vibe here. The space may be small, but the classy decor, delicious food, creative craft cocktails, extensive whiskey list, and top-notch service make it a gem. Bonus: it’s located in the Google Center in Irvine and offers valet parking so easy and convenient. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and check out this charming spot. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The customer service was exceptional, making me feel genuinely valued. Zoe greeted me warmly and helped me find a comfortable seat. At the bar, Rolando guided me through the menu, recommending the best dishes and pairing them with the perfect wine. He was incredibly personable and polite. To top it off, Zoe reminded me not to forget my dessert to take home—a delicious Brown Sugar Rice Cake! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

I’m so glad I found this place. Stacie was incredibly accommodating and supportive, even on such short notice. She truly went above and beyond to help me, especially when I was in full panic mode. The wedding turned out absolutely beautiful. The venue itself is stunning — we received so many compliments from our guests about how gorgeous the space was. We recently held our company Christmas party at Twenty Eight Restaurant, and it was the best venue we’ve ever had.  The filet mignon was cooked to perfection—extremely tender—and the salmon dish was very fresh. They offered a selection of top-shelf liquors, and the dessert was just right: not too heavy or too sweet. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend this place.

Great restaurant! They have a private room if you would like to host a nice birthday or get together. Food options are great and great drink selection. For drinks I got the rebel, presentation was great and very. The drink was sweet but not overall powerful. Old fashion did not disappoint! For food I got a Ceasar salad and the octopus to start off. Ceasar salad was perfect. Not too tarty and the portion was great. I love ceasar salads and this did not disappoint. Presentation was great. The octopus was a great presentation, tasty but I felt like it was a bit overcooked because it was chewy. It was over potatoes and a green sauce. Not amazing but didn't hate it. I would try something else next time I got a side of baby potatoes and I wouldn't get them again. Nothing special about it. It sounded good but was disappointed. I also got the crab and shrimp linguine and it was amazing. The sauce was great. The shrimps were cooked perfectly and good portion of both shrimp and crab. I would reccomend this! Service and waiter were great! For parking you can either use the parking structure or get valet. For the parking structure you can get it validated and the walk isn't far, so it's perfect.

☀️ Where are you heading out this weekend? We recently tried mimosa and French toast from Twenty Eight OC. If you’re still undecided, we want to seal your decision with the main course. We tried the Smoked Duck with Hash & 3 Eggs. I’m quite picky with duck because it is one of my favorite proteins and also very hard to cook as it is easily over-cooked. Well the chef delivered! The other dish was Chilaquiles served with salsa verde, pico de gallo, and sunny side up egg. Crunchy, umami with a little spice. Delish!⁣ •⁣ 👒 Grab your sunglasses and hats. Put on your favorite shirt or dress. Enjoy the beautiful OC weather with good food, good drinks and good vibes at Twenty Eight OC ☀️⁣

Located at the Google Center, it is very nicely set up to cater to expensive gatherings around the Irvine area. I had the Chilean Sea Bass (market price) with chef special sauce (coconut milk, fried dried shallots and chili oil). The fish is de-boned, with the tail and head put in for show. The skin is fried and put back on the fillet. It's quite tasty. Many people had the seafood linguine. An 8oz filet mignon was $52. They also had wagyu steak. A 16oz wagyu ribeye is priced at $120.

Amazing food and selection. Service was perfect. The space itself was surprisingly low key and basic. String lights above were not the best vibe, poorly hung. But the food was so good it didn’t matter. Get the pork shoulder. It’s the star of the show.

Really nice restaurant with super nice waiters and staff, all super nice courteous and friendly. The old fashioned was delicious, Brussels sprouts a bit on the burnt side, mushrooms and steak were great, don’t forget to validate your parking (they’ll ask before you leave).

I've been to this restaurant several years ago and found that their food menu has changed quite drastically from before. There seems to be less Asian dishes and more Western dishes like pastas and salads. I'm really glad they kept their drinks menu the same as The ReBel cocktail was just as delicious as I remembered. If you like sweeter drinks, definitely try that one! Service was really slow the night we were there (a Friday night) and we waited for about an hour before any food came out (including appetizers) and with no wait staff in sight to check in with us. We had to look for and ask a waiter for bread while waiting for our food and thought that was the least they could do (in fact, they should have offered that without us having to flag them down and ask for it). But when the bill came, it turned out they charged us for the bread 😑 The food looked and tasted good for the most part, except the pasta dishes were really bland. The decor was beautiful and the ambiance was nice and upscale. Too bad wait time was too long, service was subpar (for the price we were paying) and some of the food was a bit flavorless. I'll just come back for The ReBel cocktail and not bother with food there next time.

Food was good but when I asked for a box for my dessert I was told "it doesn't travel well". When I received the desert I could see it would be fine on my 15 min drive home. I then asked for a box again from the next server who passed by. He stepped away and returned "we are completely sold out of boxes so we cannot provide". That was a complete lie. I will never do business at a place that lies like that. It should have been my choice to carry my desert not theirs. Ridiculous👎👎

The food took too long and the service was a bit sloppy, and the food doesn’t taste the same as before. Yes, we were a party of nine, but there was only one other table besides us. We were already tired of talking while waiting for the food, and two different people had to ask the wait staff if the food was coming out. I believe we waited approximately 50 minutes for the food, and there were three of the same pasta and two of the same steaks. This was my fourth time visiting, and I have always experienced excellent service here, which is why I hyped up the restaurant’s service to everyone. One of the disappointing things was that they took everyone’s plates after the appetizer and never replaced them with new ones until we requested them. The most disappointing part was the food. We had the mezzé rigatoni in early June, but the fideo chili crunch, parmesan and chives on the pasta were significantly reduced, and the sauce wasn’t as thick and heavy as before.

The host asked if allergic to any food, I said seafood, and the waiter started recommending seafood options. Then get the wrong birthday name wrong, and lastly there "on the house birthday dessert is a dash of gram cracker, whipped cream, 3 half slice strawberries, and 4 blueberries.

Another terrible restaurant that looks upscale but isn't. Always nice to see when a business doesn't reply to their negative comments - just goes to show you how much they care about you.
