Top of the line food with excellent service. The wellington was fantastic and this is the first time I've complimented the ginger ale I had. it was stunning. The best part for sure was the creme brulee. Best I've ever had

Our wedding at this venue was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make everything so special. The coordinator, Lisa, truly stole my heart,her attention to detail, care, and organization made the entire day run flawlessly. She thought of everything and made sure we felt taken care of every step of the way. The food was out of this world—our guests are still talking about how delicious it was! Everything was beautifully organized, stress-free, and exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our big day!

The food was delicious! The staff was all friendly and welcoming. I felt at home here. I'll definitely come back for my next big event. I got the rack of lamb, and the creamed spinach. They were both delicious and cooked perfectly. My fiancè got the cowgirl ribeye and the duck fat fries. I tried both his steak and fries and they were also delicious. Absolutely no complaints here. If yoh're thinking of going, stop thinking! Just go :)

I took my wife to Tellers for her birthday and I've never been more impressed. The food, the ambiance, the service - every aspect of this restaurant is pristine. Our server for the evening, Kyle, was an absolute pleasure as well. I cannot wait to attend in the future. 5 stars is not enough, in order to fully explain how amazing Tellers is.

I don’t go to Teller’s enough but really should. Honestly, the food is really good. It’s based upon a traditional old-school steakhouse but the location is modern and beautiful. Steak lovers will love the selections. I usually order one 10-12 oz steak for both my wife and I as it’s enough for 2 people.

Great steakhouse in Islip. One of the nicest restaurants in the area. Expensive but the food and service quality is top notch.

Tellers is always a great choice for lunch or dinner. The Parmesan crusted petite filet mignon was outstanding, the burger was as well. My favorite will always be the mac & cheese, which is delicious. Our server, Luke was outstanding, another great meal by Executive Chef, Tom Haferkamp, and his crew. If you’re looking for a great chophouse with a nice vibe….this is the place.

The lunch was fantastic. Most likely the best burger ever. Stephanie was amazing . Both are a winning combination.

My husband and I decided to try Tellers for lunch and we were not disappointed! We were warmly greeted by the host and taken to our table. Our waiter for the afternoon was Jessica. Since this was our first time she went over the menu with us. Jessica was very attentive which was definitely a plus. Tellers have a wonderful lunch menu with large portions. I decided to go with salmon lunch special while my husband went with the 40 oz. Tellers signature rib eye. Oh my ! The food did not disappoint! We also ordered the shrimp and lobster wonton so delicious and fresh. We had the apple pecan salad which came with the lunch special so very delicious. As a side we had the pastrami hash , the chunks of onion and peppers with the aioli sauce was superb! When our meal arrived the steak was so tender and full of flavor. The salmon was delicious with the chunks of bacon and mushrooms. We are definitely a fan of this restaurant and will be back soon! Not only was the food delicious but the staff was very welcoming. The best of both worlds! Keep up the good work Tellers!

Excellent service, steak is consistently delicious. Loved burrata and fig salad. Banana cake was excellent. Sparkling French bruit rose was perfect. Overall: excellent.

Always a good meal here! We stopped in for their anniversary week special and sat at the bar. Bartenders are always friendly and make some excellent drinks. We love the Babylon express, h2o martini and tellers old fashioned. We enjoyed the tellers delmonico for dinner, along with appetizers and dessert. A great deal for sure and we’ll always be back!

Absolutely amazing. I have been to a handful of other high end steakhouses, but this one was by far the best. Everything was cooked perfectly to our liking, the bernaise sauce and mac & cheese were the highlights of the meal. We had a unique fig and burrata appetizer, as well as an affogato dessert which they brought out with a birthday candle. Our server Willie took great care of us, he was very attentive and explained the menu options in great detail. The general manager, Miguel personally came over to the table to wish me a happy birthday and surprised us with a gift. Its safe to say we will be returning in the very near future!

We went to Tellers for my husband's birthday and they did not disappoint. We went over 15-20 years ago and it is still the experience. Bobby was our waiter and he was super attentive and made my husband feel special on his day. He even got a gift card from Tellers to come back. Great job Tellers we will be back!

What a nice way to treat yourself to an exquisite dining experience. From the time at the bar talking with the highly experienced bartenders, to sitting at our table for dinner, the experience was just outstanding. We had the crab cakes (2)'small but delicious served with a white sauce, the octopus which had to be the most tender octopus that I ever had, delicious and the duck fries, crunchy!!! Fit dinner we had 2 of the tellers special ribeyes....huge to say the least, very juicy and tender. The scalloped potatoes were cheesy and full of flavor, the burnt broccoli was amazing, crashed spinach just creamy. Lisette took great care of our table. It was a wonderful dining experience. The outside was all lit up, very romantic!

Elegant environment. I really enjoyed the setting of this restaurant. It set a nice relaxed and positive tone. The food was delicious. I can tell it was made from fresh quality ingredients. My jalapeños margaritas 🍹 was amazing 👏 😋 😍 🙌.

In Islip Tellers opens at Noon. A beautiful restaurant that in 1929 was a bank. 24 years ago it was changed after Chase moved. They have a fire place in back. Upstairs dining and wine volts for purchase. Our server has been there 22 years. I felt Regal. Lunch special 24.00 has appetizer and entree. They also have menu for desserts including a real Root beer float. A definite place to go to have a meal, a meeting or an occasion.

Made reservations. Went on a Friday evening with hubs. The atmosphere is very nice, lights and high ceilings. The drinks are amazing, strong and tasty. I ordered the lemon martini; so good! Service was good. I ordered the cowgirl ribeye rare; they actually cooked it rare, perfection! Overall for two people it was $400. It’s worth visiting on special occasions! It was a very pleasant dining experience.

Our experience at Tellers was beyond our expectations: Delicious Food, Impecable Service and engaging ambiance. Definitely We’ll go back.

I wish I could give more stars!!! Atmosphere is warm, unique and very comfortable. You don’t want to leave. The service is undeniably, world class. In the restaurant world, Your staff can make or brake you and at Tellers the staff make it look easy! Now onto the main attraction, the food…….my goodness what an incredible dining experience. The menu does not disappoint and offers selections that will bring you back! Enjoy 🌞🌞🌞

10 out of 10, but you already knew that. Expensive, but you already knew that. Would go back? You already know 👍✅ They’re playing a game on a level no one else can come close to, even their ketchup has some secret mystery ingredient to it. The ribeye outstanding, duck fat fries outstanding, banana cream pie outstanding. They didn’t miss at all. Woman at front in red dress very nice and friendly, everyone dressed up in suits, and the front of the building looks like an American version of the Pantheon, 10/10.

Food was delicious and cooked perfectly, servers made you feel like a kind and the salted caramel martini was so good we had our wedding venue call them and get the recipe so we could have it as a signature drink at the most special day of our lives. 100000/10 restaurant

We had our company Christmas party at Tellers last year and because we had such a great experience we went back and had it again for our 2025 holiday party. Alexandra was instrumental in coordinating the dinner plans months in advance. She is always so helpful and accommodating. She made sure the event turned out exactly how we wanted it. The dinner itself was a great experience - everyone absolutely LOVED the food (the steaks were a REALLY big hit). Chelsea was our server and did an amazing job - there was 15 of us and she was attentive the entire time. We also had a check up from Miguel - he always goes out of his way to make sure things are running smoothly and ensures we have everything we need. Overall, we highly recommend Tellers for any gatherings/events you may be planning.

Intimate!! Very beautiful and intimate dinning experience. The food was delicious and steak was cooked to the perfect temperatures. We came here the day before Valentine’s Day to avoid the crowds on the actual day and it was well worth it! The staff here is extremely friendly and attentive! This is our third time here and we will absolutely be back!

First time at Tellers, I had the miso Cod it was delicious. The drinks were good too especially their Whiskey special 🥃. Love that they kept the vault as this space was once a bank. Service was very good. I recommend Tellers. Enjoy.

I first got to know "Tellers" when a friend celebrated his wedding there. What an incredible venue to enjoy a celebration with family and friends, and the food selection was outstanding. The fresh seafood during the cocktail hour was especially amazing. I’m definitely planning to come back for a drink at the beautiful bar in the other part of the restaurant.

The steaks are always simple And perfect ! The drinks are strong .. great steakhouse . Classic

Super cute place to take company for the ambiance and decor alone. Beautiful restaurant inside of an old bank with super high ceilings, nice furniture and wine vault. Loved the golden beet salad and the duck fat fries. They make birthdays extra special and the servers are very knowledgeable. Will be back maybe to check out the bar vibe and have dinner there.

Tellers Steak House offers an exceptional dining experience, blending sophistication with a cozy charm. I had the pleasure of visiting for lunch, and though it was a date for one, the ambiance made it feel nothing short of special. The dimmed lighting set a warm, intimate tone, while the bar exuded a romantic elegance, perfect for quiet contemplation or a rendezvous with a loved one. The menu showcased the restaurant’s upscale nature, and I couldn’t resist indulging in the oysters, a classic starter. Unfortunately, this was the one small flaw in an otherwise delightful experience. The oysters were not shucked with the care one might expect from a restaurant of this caliber. They appeared gritty, with traces of what looked like mud, which was disappointing given the $55 price for a dozen. While their presentation didn’t quite match the restaurant’s elegant reputation, it was a minor blemish in the grand scheme of things. The duck fat fries, however, stole the show. Perfectly crisp and rich with flavor, they were a decadent delight I’d return for in a heartbeat. Paired with a glass of buttery Chardonnay, the combination elevated my solo dining experience to something truly memorable. Overall, Tellers Steak House lived up to its reputation for refined dining, and I left feeling thoroughly impressed. I would, however, love to see the quality of the oysters elevated to match the excellence of the rest of the menu. That said, it was a splendid lunch, and I look forward to returning.

Really good. Cowgirl was good but wasn't as tender as butter likewise had at other places. The Cremini mushrooms are unreal. Cant go wrong at Tellers !!

We went for NYE dinner. We had a fabulous waitress, Laura I think. The food was excellent as it always is. My 1 complaint is where they sat us. Upstairs in a tiny dark room, 4 tables. It was like being punished. I asked for a better table but the hostess said she had reservations. We had a reservation, one that was secured with a hundred dollar deposit. Dinner was around 400 dollars. I wasn't happy

What’s not to love about the Great American Chophouse, right here in Islip! Yes the prices are steep, and yes, Gents don’t always wear a jacket, like in the movies or in NY proper, but, oh, what a meal! Aged steaks, to die for, perfect cocktails and sides to complement all meals. Great for special occasions, even better when “just because!” Back again in 2023 for a lunch meeting…still a fabulous experience and terrific lunch!

Went to Teller's for Thanksgiving and very much enjoyed my time there. Our waitress was very attentive. We weren't rushed out of the door. The prices for it being Thanksgiving weren't terrible either. I do have a gripe and then a positive thing to say. First off, my friend and I split a steak we asked for bone marrow butter - we never got it, but luckily enough it wasn't on the bill. The positive was that my friend left her card at the table and the waitress tracked us down so she could get it back. While I can't say this will be a regular place because well...it Is steak and steak Is steak, it will definitely be a place that I go to again and consider for the holidays.

Food was “fine.” Did we hate it? No. Was it YUMMY? also no. There were lots of misses - improperly cooked steak (which imo is kind of inexcusable for a steak house), entrees & sides delivered out of order, and food that tasted mundane. No real winners - never once was anyone at the table excited to share a dish. A very mediocre meal, but a bill of $500 with only one out of 4 diners drinking. Temp in restaurant was far too cold - fat on steak solidified within minutes - off putting. Too expensive for the service and the food - would not recommend.

I had a Power Lunch—Baby Wedge Salad with Tellers Black Label Burger. The salad was delicious. However, I did not like the taste of the burger itself. The waiter told me that it was made with Angus Beef. It lacked body. It was not substantive. I prefer a burger that is source blended, like the one I had recently at The Gramercy Tavern in The City. That one is made with chuck, brisket and short rib beef. The Raspberry Cream Pie was delicious. The raspberry preserves were so fresh and light. So was the cream. I ate at the bar, where the bartender gave me good service. The only negative was the $5 club soda. At The Gramercy Tavern, sparkling water is free. I used to be a regular at Tellers over a decade ago. The food is not nearly as good now as it was then. I wonder what happened!

We have been here over a dozen times. Last visit: party of eight and we got seated at a corner round table. Way too small for our party. Five tops should be at that table in the north, right corner. It was like eating my dinner in a clown car. It was ridicous, truly pathetic, upsetting and unnerving. Honestly, my girlfriend has a special spot in her heart for this place, so , I kept my mouth shut; but I think it is too expensive, seating is a joke because table room per individual is woefully inadequate and I am not impressed, at all, by the food. If I return, it is not because I have a choice.

Appetizer and salad were delicious. Got the Wellington as an entree and it was raw. Drinks and dessert were amazing. Music is out of this world. Great to hear Pearl Jam, STP, Cage the elephant in places. Would come back and gives second chance

I am so mad we had a luncheon for a co worker. Everything was fine until it was time to leave. A man came and took my food to wrap it, and I specifically asked him to give me gravy for my French dip. He acted like he understood English, but I don’t think he did. He spent a lot of money there, and I was looking forward to having my roast beef sandwich, and there is no gravy therefore it’s garbage to me. Not sure if I’ll be back

Honestly not worth the hype and price they charge. I’ve had better at this price. The best thing to get is the power lunch because it’s a good price, but the mains are only ok. The pork belly that they call bacon was the best thing we had in our lunch. We started with crispy calamari, jumbo lump crab cake, the apple pecan salad, black pepper bacon, and duck fat fries. The calamari was good nothing stellar though, the crab cake was great - lots of large crab meat pieces, the salad had a bit too much dressing on it, and the fries were very flavorful although I wish we didn’t order it because the lunch burger comes with fries 🫥 For mains we got the Hudson valley steelhead salmon, tellers black label burger, and 14oz filet mignon. The salmon was okay although k wish they used the belly cut of the salmon. I was t really a fan of the sauce it was in because it was oddly really sweet. The burger was okay nothing special. The filet mignon was a medium well when we requested a medium. We received push back from the staff when we notified them considering that this piece of meat was really expensive. Furthermore, it was really tough and dry. It was difficult to cut as well. This is a steakhouse so I was really disappointed to see that the red meats they serve were not good. Considering we spent so much money on this meal, the quality was so disappointing.

The restaurant is beautiful, we made a reservation weeks in advance and unfortunately they sat us next to the bar in a dark, dreary part of the restaurant. The other side (I guess the main room??) is beautifully lit with natural light from sky lights. We made the best of it. They were offering a prix fixe which was great because the price is out of this world normally. Pretty disappointing though - my husband and I ordered the SAME EXACT steak from the prix fixe and they came out looking very different. The sizes were not even close, the thickness was not the same either. Also, mine was not seasoned at all while my husband's was. Very inconsistent. More disappointing is how they cooked the steaks... I asked for medium - it was cooked medium well. My husband asked for medium rare - it was cooked medium. I don't get it - isn't this your specialty?? You're Tellers, the steakhouse - if you can't cook a steak right, is it even worth it for me to mention anything that was good?? I do not mind spending money for good, properly cooked, consistent food - this place missed the mark. Our server was lovely and attentive and the drinks were made well.
