I love this place!! The atmosphere is beautiful with the woodwork and different dining rooms. The food was phenomenal. I had the shrimp cocktail, the shrimp were huge and cooked perfect with homemade cocktail sauce. Then the entree was the prime Rib and was one of the best I ever had. Every year my family and I go here for Christmas Lunch. This has been my family's staple for many generations. We love the rustic charming feel and the service is beyond outstanding. I absolutely love the famous potato soup and I usually get the Shepards pie. The food is always delicious and I am always taking some home for later snack. I highly recommend.

30 years ago we had our son’s baby shower at the Irish Coffee Pub. Yesterday he had his wedding reception there. It was phenomenal. Katie, who helped us plan the event, was terrific as was the entire staff. Often times at catered events the food isn’t great. The food was awesome from the appetizers to dessert!!

A family favorite to celebrate holidays and special events, the Irish Coffee Pub never fails to deliver an exceptional meal and outstanding service. My family have been coming here for more than a decade and love the classic ambiance and seasonal menu. I personally absolutely love their potato soup, which is a long-term staple on the menu and the best I've ever had. Meals are a bit expensive but you are paying for quality and a great experience, both of which we have had every time we had eaten here.

On Saturday nights they have a great promo player named Steve who knows practically every song ever recorded by heart. Lovely place. Great owners.

We had a wonderful dinner last night, Saturday June 15. Our Waitress Kayla had a great sense of humor and awesome personality. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, the timing was perfect. Gio kept coming in to our room with bread, he was on point with water, both were very attentive. The night was very enjoyable We truly had a great time celebrating Father's Day a day early. Thank you Kayla and Gio you guys made our night even better than expected.. I did not get the name of the lady, bartender I believe that came in with drinks, she was great as well!

What a great place for Mother's day dinner or to celebrate any special occasion. Our server was attentive and helpful with suggestions. The food was spaced beautifully with bread, appetizers, salads, and then the main course. Ample portions and everyone left full. The blackened sea bass was delicious, as were the scallops, salmon and surf and turf, everyone was impressed. Thanks so much for a great evening!

We used Irish Coffee Pub for our wedding anniversary ceremony and reception in the North Fork in 2023 after Covid cause us to postpone our original wedding celebration. Stephen and his team are wonderful. They treated me and my husband like we were their only clients. You can tell they care about people and about creating the best day for couples no matter the occasion or the budget. They went above and beyond replying immediately to every email and being attentive to even the smallest details. The day went beautifully, the food was fresh and delicious, and the guests couldn’t stop talking about it. They are experts at their craft. Without question hire them for your event.

Had the absolute pleasure of having Irish coffee pub cater my wedding and I could not be happier. The food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me and some of my guests as we are vegan and they were more than willing to work with us and help create options so everyone would be able to eat. The day of my wedding was run smoothly by everyone involved and I appreciate it immensely. Plus i heard the filet mignon was a huge hit! The vegan food was beyond incredible and it's all thanks to them for making it possible. Whether you come here to eat or have them cater a party, you are in good hands!

We tried here again after about a year. Well not any better. We asked for well done brugers, we got very Red. The big pretzel was hard and came in two pieces. We will Never eat again. Maybe they care if you dine in, but for sure they could care less if you get it delivered!!! The food is not good!!

It was good, got the Shepard's pie, it was absolutely delicious. The only problem I had was that my friend ordered a burger with caramelized onions. I never checked if we paid for it, and she was ok without them. The burger was great. The waitress was super sensitive to my friends severe food allergies, even mentioned the fries being cooked with shell fish oil.

I've dined here many times over the years and the food and service never disappoints. The menu has variety for everyone, and you can't go wrong with any you order. The service is always top notch, and the piano player adds to the already relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended.

My family has been going to the ICP for 30 years. Restaurants change over time, sometimes losing their luster. ICP is one of those rare places, and in some ways I think it is even better than it was when I was a kid. The service is one of the best features of this restaurant and the owners are present, actively engaged with the patrons. The ICP is the best! Thank you for making my son's 14th birthday, one experience we will always remember!

Excellent food and service, nice ambience. Unfortunately, my mother whom I was dining with had a medical emergency while she was there and an ambulance needed to take her out of the restaurant. The manager and other employees and even other patrons were as helpful as they could be during this nightmare. It was unfortunate that this was our first experience at this place. However, we ate almost all of our food before the incident occurred and everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Highly recommend.

The food here is absolutely fabulous, the atmosphere is cozy. The restaurant is broken up into different areas, there are areas where you can have a private event or a small gathering, there's the main dining room and the bar area. They also have weddings upstairs. I had my own wedding there 38 years ago, and we chose it for the food. My wedding guests loved it and the quality has not wavered over the years.

Soon after, we met Stephen in person, who treats strangers like family, we knew we had to look no further. Stephen is extremely accommodating and flexible. It is very evident that Stephen and his staff are passionate about what they do and it resonates. The tasting prior to the wedding was exquisite and got my husband and I beyond excited for the big day. The amount of choices and the quality of food is exceptional. We got married in May 2025, Stephen and his team were flawless. The food, impeccable. Service was attentive and kind. Majority of our guests walking from the ceremonial space to the cocktail hour tent arrived with a food and drink in hand as they were greeted by Stephen and company, prior to cocktail hour even starting! Guests raved about cocktail hour, afraid they wouldn't have room for dinner! However, during dinner it was noticed how most, if not all, plates were eaten clean, THAT is how good the food was! My husband and I look forward to our next chapters and look forward to visiting Irish Coffee Pub, as it has a part of our hearts. Never been here before. This is one of my moms favorite places. We came here for her birthday and the food and service is outstanding. I got the filet mignon and it cut like butter. It was delicious. The drinks are outstanding as well. Deff will be back soon.

I can't express how much of a great experience I had on 11/26 Coleen was our server and she was incredible! She was very patient and professional the whole time, she explained the menu and made great recommendations! Me and my husband were so happy and only want her to be our server! We plan on calling to make sure she is working when we return! Nowadays service is lacking at a lot of places but she was available Everytime we needed a refill, to clear our plates it was incredible!

My go to restaurant to celebrate with friends and family. Just love it there. Never disappoints.

Absolutely fantastic meal. Great experience. The restaurant is run perfectly, the way they all should be. French onion soup, onion rings, potato croquet, the croutons are homemade on the salad. My lobster, clam, scallop, and jumbo shrimp dinner was so good I forced myself to bring some home so I can enjoy it again. I have been around them when they cater weddings on the east end and I wanted to try the restaurant. It was better than just 5 stars, honestly.

This place was absolutely delicious. It was super old school luxurious vibe. The servers were so kind and adorable. The food was literally to die for. The soup is famous for a reason. Had the chicken vienna it was good. Also the onion strings - SOOO good.

We were lucky enough to enjoy all that the Irish Coffee Pub had to offer at my Grandson's First Communion. The food and service were impeccable. This catered affair started rolls & butter, a dish of pasta, a salad, the main course, I had the Salmon which was tasty, moist and perfectly cooked, the Sliced Steak and Chicken Cordon Blue, so I was told, was also delicious and cooked to perfection. The dessert was a warm apple crumb cake ala mode. It was very tasty, and a nice end to this meal. The one drawback was the dough bottom was chewy, and not to my liking. We also brought a sheet cake to the affair. The event location was spacious with a good-sized dance floor and plenty of room around the spacious tables. The staff was attentive, friendly, and very accommodating. The management team checked in often to make sure we were satisfied. All in all, this was a great experience at this catering hall establishment. I'm unable to comment on the price since I was a guest and not the one who planned the party.

Attended a party and the venue was lovely! The food was good the drinks and cocktail hour wonderful! I have to say the staff was very excellent. At the cocktail hour, they were constantly around with trays. They were pleasant, attentive. Liliana worked the room well. She lifted a tray that had to weigh as much as she does. The staff was really on point! The bar tenders also went above and beyond! I wish I had a function to plan! I would love to have a party there!!

We finally had the chance to dine at the Irish Coffee Pub and we were not disappointed! My Wife and Sister/Brother-in-law decided to co-celebrate our 34 and 35 year wedding anniversaries and treated ourselves to some of the best food and service we've had all year. The dining room was beautifully adorned with an old world style. The acoustics of the room allowed for us to have a very pleasant conversation. The wait staff were extremely attentive, making sure we had time to settle in, have a pre-dinner drink, understand the daily specials and even kept our drinks glasses constantly full. The appetizers and entrees were fantastically presented and delicious. And then to our surprise our waitress (Denise) brought out our chosen desserts of apple Cobbler and Blueberry Peach strudel with a candle and Happy Anniversary written on our plates! A pleasant end to an overall wonderful dining experience. In summary, we do plan to try and come to the ICP the same time next year to celebrate again!

My husband and I got married there 25 years ago today. We went there for our 10-year anniversary and were greeted as if we had been there today before. Steven, the manager of the Irish coffee pub, is an absolute delight. The staff are all very accommodating and pleasant. Unfortunately I lost my husband two and a half years ago so he didn't make it to celebrate our 25th there. But, I went with the next best person... his mother. So we went to celebrate that beautiful day that we had on December 3rd, 2000 and all the days since/up until his untimely death. R.I.P. My Vincent. We were here for a wedding rehearsal dinner. It is a very nice place to hold any kind of party or gathering. We were upstairs in a room that had a domed ceiling, so the acoustics were just wild! We heard conversations from the other side if the room that sounded like they were right behind us. The various rooms available range from very comfortable and classic with lots of wood, to a couple with a more modern and elegant feel.

Selecting Irish Coffee Pub to cater our wedding at RGNY was truly one of the best decisions we made. From the very first email correspondence with Katie, we knew we were dealing with a unique place. Our first meeting with Stephen sealed the deal for us almost immediately. Stephen's professionalism, attention to detail, and experience were on full display and made the decision one of the easiest we made during the whole wedding planning process. This continued over the course of the last year with his check-ins, guidance, and support. On the day of the wedding, Katie picked up right where Stephen left off and was incredible. She was attentive, on top of everything, and truly made her very difficult job look effortless. The staff was also amazing throughout the day. What we knew from the start was that we were in good hands with Irish Coffee Pub and all our wedding day did was prove that ten times over. I’ve eaten at the restaurant and also used them as my caterer for my wedding. The Irish Coffee Pub serves delicious food with generous portions both at their restaurant and when catering. I hired them to come to my venue and they took care of everything. They brought their own linens, plates, utensils, etc and also assisted with renting extra tables and chairs as well as set up. The waitstaff made sure that everyone in the bridal party placed their orders prior to the reception grand entrance and personally came up to my husband and I throughout the night to see if we needed a refill or anything. Nobody went home hungry and all of the guests raved about the food. The staff is extremely friendly and organized. While planning and on the wedding day I barely had to do anything because the Irish Coffee Pub had either done it already or thought of it for us. For our guests with dietary restrictions they came up with something custom to serve for us, and ensured that nothing would be cooked with any allergens (we had a guest with severe peanut allergy). I will definitely continue to dine at their restaurant and highly recommend them for catering any event.

op Contributor I took my 94 year old Mother to a luncheon with her friends at the Irish Coffee Pub, in East Islip. I was told No Men allowed at the table!! lol So I sat at the bar and ordered a hamburger, as those 5 women just chit chatted away, in quiet!! I ordered the burger my usual medium rare, and it came to me a near perfect medium rare. The restaurant serves Certified Angus beef, so I'm assuming the burger was a chuck blend, and it had that chuck taste to it. The burger meat had a nice taste to it, to be sure. It seemed to me they hand mold the burger in house, from the structure of the burger, and the looseness of the meat as it sat in the bun. The roll they use is different from what is used at most places. It was a Kaiser roll, which I really enjoyed.. It held up very well against a very juicy burger. The French Fries were as crispy as possible, and there was certainly plenty of them, as I could not even come close to finishing all of them.. I really enjoyed them... I believe they are Hand cut One of the better French fries I have eaten. The burger was very good, but it certainly wasn't Top Tier in my Burger Hierachy. But, fact, I would not hesitate to recommend the burger if you ate there. The whole burger meat, roll, french fry combo warrants a thumbs up. The price is a bit steep,at $19.90, but it comes with fries....cheese, and any other additions were a $1 extra.. There is a charge for Credit card use The service at the Irish Coffee Pub is legendary, and it certainly shone through today. From the moment I walked in with my Mother, to the time I left, they were as gracious as could be. In fact, when I pulled the car up to the side (handicap) entrance, the manager type, Steve, noticed from inside somewhere, and came out to help with the process of getting my mother out of the car, and to get her going with her walker. The place was quite busy at lunch time. The main dining room was about half full, the various rooms around the first floor were full to different degrees, and the bar was constantly busy. There is usually plenty of parking. The weekends there are quite busy with the regular restaurant business, weddings, birthday parties, and the like.. plan accordingly. 1/25/2024

I had the surf and turf…just delicious! I’ve written about the soup before and I often dream about it because it’s always the best. One thing I never comment about with regard to service anywhere is the busing of the dishes, filling water glasses, bringing bread (delicious) when it’s empty… no place is better! A true team effort and worth every penny! Two years ago I wrote: Always exceptional…..Service is great. The vibe remains classic and the food is excellent. Pro tip I tried last night…. Ordered a mixed bowl of beef barley and potato soup… the best of both worlds!

From my wife's BOLI review: The Irish Coffee Pub Where do I even begin? The Pub was a dream come true. When we first got engaged, one of my good friends told me and my husband (oops almost wrote fiancé!) to list our top three priorities for our wedding. Food was at the top of our list and boy did the Pub deliver! We had heard good things about the restaurant from family members, but we had never been there and I had never even heard of it. After researching it some more, my husband and I just had a good feeling about the place. I even got butterflies when pulling into the parking lot for our first meeting. I guess it’s true what they say...when you’ve found your wedding venue, you just know! Stephen (one of the Pub owners) welcomed us with open arms. We could tell that he and the other owners pour their hearts and souls into the restaurant. The second floor had been newly renovated for events and Stephen gave us a very thorough tour. He even served us a complimentary meal! Stephen and his team were on top of things every step of the way. Stephen created the perfect timeline and floor plan...my uncle even commented on how seamlessly everything flowed in terms of timing and how well the layout worked for dancing and mingling. Megan and Patrick were our maitre d’s and they ensured that everything was in place. We delivered so many picture frames and decorative items and somehow they found the perfect spot for every little thing. They went above and beyond and made sure we ate and were taken care of. Every guest has raved about the food so far, especially the potato soup 😋 I keep telling everyone that the Pub would be a great spot for not only weddings but also date nights. We will definitely be back for anniversaries and other special events. Please go check out this gem of a restaurant in East Islip! You won’t be disappointed.

Went for a birthday celebration. Food was ok, tasty. People were friendly but don't go thirsty. They poured 1 glass of water and then waited 2 hours for the second one. They were good at clearing the tables but not asking if you needed anything else. Poor training. Really 3.5 stars for service

My family has eaten here many times. Always great. This was our first time back since covid. The service and food was great. Staff couldn't be nicer. I expected the cost would be a little higher due to what's going on in the world. That didn't bother me. What did bother was the extra charge for using a credit card. It would have been nice if they told you when you make a reservation. Had no choice but to pay it. I don't carry 600 dollars on me. Make sure you bring cash , unless you like paying extra charges.

Great food! The waitress was nice. But my Mescaline salad only had 2 shrimp. For the price of that salad (and there wasn't that much salad on the plate), I felt they could have provided another shrimp or two; or at least some more salad. Atmosphere was lovely.

Stopped at the Irish Coffee Pub to have , what else, A Classic Irish Coffee and a slice of cake. Delicious. Host was so gracious. Talkative and informative and inviting. Very cozy place. Packed. Old school place. If you like piano music, comfort food and great company, stop by for dinner or dessert. I'm glad we did. Will be back for dinner for sure.

I forgot how beautiful this place was inside! We enjoyed ourselves except for bartender didn't seem friendly or smile at all and it wasn't crowded. Maybe he was having an off day. Food was good and waitress was very pleasant!

A quite dinner with family, with excellent service and fantastic meals. My veal chop topped with sautéed spinach and lobster meat over mashed potatoes and marsala sauce was a delious fusion of land and sea. The salmon and chicken dishes were equally tasty.

Very nice place Upscale setting food was great. Drinks were perfect . Everything came out fast. Staff is on top of their game. Definitely a place to come back too. Great for large parties. Great Irish Coffee

Had my son's first birthday here this last weekend and overall was happy with the experience. The service could have been slightly better and more organized as some plates weren't served all around. However, Katie and Meagan were lovely to deal with in planning the party and I was even given the whole upstairs and run of the floor for my party and activities at no extra charge because I was the only party at the time. The food was good and the price very fair. Will use them again in the future.

Had a large party there the prime rib was subpar didn't have a good flavor and the chicken was too dry. Best thing was the spinach crab soup that was excellent. Service was slow I wound up clearing off glasses off the table myself. Price seems fair.

This was the first time my family decided to dine out on Thanksgiving. Unfortunately the experience was nothing to celebrate about except for the fact that we were together, happy and healthy. A lot to be thankful for. Most of us had the turkey dinner or steak. Not one of us was impressed with the turkey dinner. The sides were fine but the turkey was thinly sliced and rolled around stuffing. It was so obvious that it was processed meat. So disappointed because myself and the quests were looking forward to this Thanksgiving turkey meal. The steak was very good except for my brother who ordered medium rare but received well done. This was corrected immediately. What we were very pleased with was the beauty, decor and cleanliness of this restaurant. The staff was warm and welcoming and we were seated promptly. Our server Patrick was amazing. Very patient, professional, accommodating and never stopped moving . Patrick is an asset to your establishment! Everyone was happy with their appetizers, salad, soup, sides, desserts and cocktails. So overall it was a pleasant experience!

The Christmas decorations were gorgeous. It appeared that they did not have enough wait staff for our party of 40. Some of us got our food right away while others had to wait. The steak was very salty and the chicken was ok. The cream of potato soup was excellent, the salad was doused in dressing so couldnt eat it. The apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream was very good. Will try again when less busy June 2021 Came here again for an event. Appears that when there are more than a few people, the food isnt as good. The wait staff kept forgetting to give one person at our table his dessert. I asked for decaf coffee twice and it never came. The steak was good but the sauce very salty, the croutons in the salad was a bit stale and the Caeser salad had too much dressing. The chicken was a bit tough. Maybe next time, I will come with just one person and see how it will be then

MY VISIT was not what I had hoped for. The young woman who showed us to a table was nice enough at first but her attitude changed when we asked for a different table. The wait for our food was extraordinarily long. My shepherd's pie was not near as tasty as I have had in the past. My daughter's cod was passable but nothing we would order again. It was not the evening I had dreamed it would be. Shame!

It’s been a while since I had sick a tasteless fish and chips. At $31 for a simple dish it’s a big waste of money. And the rest of the food we had wasn’t good. The service is slow for no reason the restaurant was pretty empty. Even taking my card took them like 10 min.

Location unable to set up for or handle a large party. Place settings were not set up properly upon arrival and even after multiple re-seatings the party was unable to sit comfortably. Food was delayed and lacked flavor. Accommodations are not able to be made for dietary restrictions.

There should have been more salmon as it was during Lent. The salmon was served in small pieces . Servers were stingy
