Opinions de Revelry Yards Ithaca
Food was outstanding. Drinks were great. Service was prompt and super friendly. Phil took great care of us. I had the asparagus Benedict and all components of it were fresh and delicious.
Wonderful dinner here! Service was amazing, our waiter and waitress were awesome. The food was to die for. We got a pizza, tacos, and fries. Along with some really tasty drinks. It was our first time here and I would 100% recommend! 🖤
After arriving at Revelry just 30 minutes before closing, Natasha seated us and got our orders in right away. She was so kind and accommodating, we had a wonderful experience. Plus the food and drinks were spectacular!
The service here is exceptional. Joshua and Sofia navigated the peak dinner transition with poise and efficiency. The staff's attention to detail is matched only by the pristine condition of the facility. Truly a premier destination on Restaurant Row.
Ordered from Revelry yards last night. (Valentines night) Hubby got the fish fry and I ordered the chicken tzatziki plate with a bunch of exclusions. When hubby brought it home it was just chicken and cucumbers and a pita which is not what it was supposed to be. We called down and were transferred to a manager (matt) he assured us that he would make it right. So we drove back downtown. Hubby went in and grabbed my new food. As we were sitting at the light at the end of the block a guy flagged us down. It was manager Matt. He apologized and gave us a gift card. The gift card isn't what is important. Its the fact that matt was so concerned with us enjoying our experience that he went so far out of his way to make sure that we had a positive experience that he literally ran through traffic. When we got home I opened my dinner to find the best tzaztiki plate I have ever seen. I hope that his pillow is always cool, that he finds random $ in his pockets, and that all of the good he puts out comes back to him 10 fold. Matt, thank you so much you made our night and as always the food was fabulous.
I’ve been out to Revelry Yards a number of times and each time I’ve had a good experience. I’ve dined and had drinks with friends, and found it to have an inviting bar and with good bar service. I’ve also been out for dinner dates and have always had a good meal with friendly service. The florentine features house-made fettuccine and is packed with fresh and flavorful vegetables. Shout out to Jacie who was a lovely and attentive server. It seems like good service is a priority and it doesn’t go unnoticed by me. Thanks for the good experience, Revelry Yards!
Natasha was so amazing! My partner and I came the same day we landed in Ithaca from GA, and she was so kind, funny, and helpful. We will likely be returning again during our short stay due to how personable she was. Also drinks (we had wine and beer) were great and reasonably priced.
My 3 adult children, 1 girlfriend and I enjoyed this place! The food was amazing and we are from L.A. who just visited NYC for 3 days! We came here for son’s Cornell University graduation! The service was amazing and Brandon C. Was a hoot! Highly recommend him as your server! Overall, a great find! Oh did I mention the beer was really good! The Yard Tide in particular which Brandon recommended to me!!
Great good, great vibe! We had a great experience. We had originally gone to Food Lab but they were completely booked. The manager, Matt, went next-door to see if he could get us in at their sister restaurant. There were two spaces at the bar and he took it upon himself to carry a high top chair from the one restaurant to the other to accommodate my group. We ordered the chicken tzatziki plate, braise short ribs, and the short rib mac & cheese- all delicious.
The food here is awesome and the service was great! Joshua was a great server, he was able to get us seated right away when it was busy and was very attentive. The chicken tzatiki plate, avocado caprese salad, and the bacon burger were amazing. The truffle fries were really good! Would definitely come back again
We happened to pick the same weekend as college move-in, so most restaurants were packed on the Saturday night we chose to eat out in Downtown Ithaca. When we walked up to Revelry, we were glad to take the seating available outside facing the glass window. Our server, Joshua, seemed to handle everyone outside with ease and even moved us to a small raised table, clearing it in one shot, hands full! I ordered the crabmeat pizza and my hubby had the salmon, and BOTH were chef’s kiss 🤌🏾!! I also had the cucumber cooler, which was so refreshing- I wish it came in a larger glass… Overall, highly recommend- and I’m going to be looking forward to coming back for that pizza the next time we are in Ithaca!!
We had reservations for Thursday 8/7. We had great high top seats overlooking the street. Our server, Joshua was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed chatting with him and other servers. He let us take our time to enjoy a couple libations before ordering. The entire staff was friendly and the place had a very laid back vibe. We ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Charred Flank Steak with Truffle Fries. Both meals were absolutely delicious. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. We enjoyed it so much that we went back 8/8 and celebrated our anniversary. Again the entire staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a Margarita wood fired pizza and Beet salad! Again, both delicious. When they found out it was our anniversary they offered us a complimentary dessert. We chose the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake! It was delectable! We will definitely return on our next Ithaca visit! Thanks to all the Revelry staff! And a shout out to Joshua who set the tone for our next visit!
Went here for a great lunch while we were at the Ithaca Commons. This is a very delicious restaurant that you must stop at and eat. If you are in the area the food is absolutely delicious and the price is just right the atmosphere and the staff is great!! I got the steak tacos and they were absolutely amazing.!! I highly recommend coming here if you are walking around the Ithaca Commons or you in the area great vegetarian options as well. A little something for everybody and the drinks are delicious, especially the mock tails.
Had a great time at Revelry Yards while visiting Ithaca. The food was really good — flavorful and well-prepared. I also appreciated that they offer local wines on the menu, which is a nice touch and adds to the regional charm. The bartender deserves a shoutout — she knew exactly how to make a proper spritz, which isn’t always a given. Overall, a relaxed atmosphere with quality food, great drinks, and a nice local vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town.
I am actually shocked at the stark difference between the negative reviews and the extremely positive experience I had dining here. The food was delicious and warm, portions were large, wait time for food was short, atmosphere was calm, and our waiter, Brandon, was such a fun, pleasant presence. Would definitely come back to try some more items on the diverse menu. Give this place a shot if you are around!
We visited Revelry as our 1st night out in Ithaca and it was overall a great spot. Only giving it a 4 star because we went solely for the sour beer and it was out by the time we got there (7:30). Our waitress was great, she brought over a sample of the pumpkin beer to try but the damage was done 🤣 We were able to find two cocktails that were great substitutes and let me say, the bartender... he knows what he's doing. Our drinks were worth the price we paid for them. The presentation and taste, purely perfection 👌 The food was good. Only critique would be to add the bun on the burger as its going out the door of the kitchen. The burger was juicy and tasted great but the bun was falling apart by the time we got to pick it up to eat it. Still a delicious burger so can't complain too much. Also, highly recommend a reservation unless you want to wait outside... its a small place and not much room to stand and wait. MAKE A RESERVATION!
The beer garden in the back is really cute and chill with string lights and a wood fire oven. We ordered a mushroom burger, Greek chicken pita bread, fries, and roasted red pepper soup as a side. Food was what you would expect for a pub / bar food scene. Vibes were cute. Our server Jacie was super sweet. If I were to nitpick, the food could have come out a bit quicker. I think we waited for 20 min. But overall, I had a good dinner experience.
We did not enjoy our meal for 4, and will not be coming back. We came here based on previous reviews and it was a mistake, and not a good experience. We had reservations for dinner. Sat down at 5pm, received our food at 5:30pm, and were told at 6:10pm that we had to leave before 6:30pm because "there is a 22 top coming at that time". We had barely finished our entrees, and could not even order desert. This was not a cheap meal, and I did not appreciate being kicked out with a 20 min. notice. Had we been informed at the time we arrived for our reservation that this was the case we would have done something different. Afterwards, we were able to find another restaurant to sit down, order some cake, and finish our evening. It was an embarrassing situation. I understand this place must have been good at some point in the past, because the food gets raving reviews, but our truffle fries were soggy, and my chicken sandwich was all crust. I will not review the rest of the food because I do not want to seem petty and I want to focus on the way we were treated, but do not expect anything other that standard cafeteria fare. I keep going back to the current reviews, and I do not understand how they are so good. Perhaps we were unlucky, but I cannot recommend the place to anyone looking for a nice dinner. I chose this place for a special evening and we were only able to salvage it because we end it up somewhere else.
I was really looking forward to the tzatziki platter all day. It’s tough to find good Greek/middle eastern food in general. I was expecting a larger, more substantial portion for 25 bucks and was disappointed when my dish arrived. Small bit of chicken, overly blackened and the salad tasted funky. The whipped feta was too feta-y also, two bites was all I could handle. The best thing about this place was the friendly hostess. I left hungry. Also why advertise happy hour if you don’t have one.
We had a early dinner at Revelry which was okish. A nice flight of beers with a good selection. Asparagus parmesan was really nice, a bit smokey with a tasty aioli. The burger was good with nice onions rings. Fish and chips was quite nice, a big portion of the fish with a nice crisp tempura. Pasta with tomato sauce was nice with a lot of fresh basil but like a homey dish. The short rib poutine wasn't that tasty the cheese covered the meat flavours and the fries got wet from the big amount of sauce on the bottom. Service was friendly but not attentive enough. The table was small and they didn't clear the empty plates or prepared the table for the next dishes which was very inconvenient as they were busy and it was a bit challenging to their attention.
Seems like a great local bar and restaurant with a decent food game. We met a local friend for a late lunch and they were very busy. Our server was very good especially being new and how busy they were. We got the truffle fries 🍟 and fried brussel sprouts for appetizers. I didn't understand the blue cheese on the fries... Parmesan or Fontina would have made more sense to me... but the fries were good. The brussel sprouts were interesting... they nearly dissolved in-mouth like a marshmallow which was good in small doses, but I missed the toothsome-ness of the brussel sprouts and it got oily. The Mrs got the Hefeweizen chicken sandwich 🥪 and I got the blue cheese and bacon 🥓 burger 🍔... we both got their side-salad 🥗 option. She was happy with her chicken sandwich but the patty in my burger was cooked DONE 😵 which is always disappointing. At $20 just for the burger entree... it was surprising to get a food service frozen burger patty... I would have expected fresh beef and formed in-house patty. Otherwise... great atmosphere, our service was good and the food has promise... think we'll try again next time we're in Ithaca.
Cool brewery and the cider was really good 🍻. Food was okay overall. My favorites were the whipped feta and Caesar salad. Unfortunately, service was horrible for my table personally. Our server never checked on us (even while checking on tables around us), and we had to flag him down just to get the check which led to quite a frustrating experience. I don't see myself visiting here again as the lac of service was off putting.
Went here for brunch with a group and had an extremely terrible experience. They had items on the menu that weren’t even available and wasn’t notified until almost an hour later. We couldn’t even order a cup of coffee because they had no mugs and the place wasn’t even busy. Ordered eggs over easy and basically got a hard boiled egg. Couldn’t even ask for ketchup without getting attitude from the bartender! How are these people in the restaurant and service industry? Save yourself from anger and disappointment and go anywhere else.
