Opinions de Casa Grande Jacksboro
Service was so friendly and good. The avocado enchiladas were excellent as well as the Chile relleno was wonderful. Definitely will come back to eat there!
This restaurant was delicious !! Everything was made fresh and the service was prompt and pleasant. The best steak fajita meat I’ve ever had !! Thanks.
Great food, I had the lunch beef enchiladas, my wife had the avocado enchiladas, and kids had quesadillas and tacos. Staff was excellent and took great care of us. Will definitely be going back.
Great food, good service. They do take out very fast.
Delicious! Chips & salsa were very good. Enchiladas had traditional chili con carne & rice and beans were truly homemade. +++ homemade tortillas!
Dinner before hunting weekend starts at a great spot. I loved the fajita chimichonga. The waitress was nice and on top of everything! It's also seems like they will be selling liquor/beer soon.
My family stopped for lunch here on our way to Lubbock. We enjoyed the fresh tasty food! Service was quick and very friendly !
This place is the BEST around. We drove from Wichita Falls to try it and we were pleasantly surprised and now have found our "go-to" Mexican restaurant! Those tortillas! The sauces in every single thing we has were so flavorful! Top notch, for sure!
Great surprise. Don't let the outside keep your from enjoying some of the best Mexican food in the region. Start with the thin and crispy chips and good salsa. She had the Avocado Enchilada with Chicken. Nice tomatilla sauce on top, great flavor. I chose the lunch special which was fajitas and a chicken enchilada. The fajita chicken was nice and juicy, thick and yummy. We will return.
Their food and service is outstanding. Highly recommend their shrimp fajitas. The shrimp were large and delicious. It was easy to pinch off the tails. The tortillas were hand made. Grandaughters loved their meat enchiladas.
About the BEST Mexican food we ever ate. Their hot sauce best. Not too hot but more than mild. Service was friendly. Price were good with the amount of food you get on your plate. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆
Excellent small town Mexican restaurant. First time there and will go back if in town again. Food was hot and plenty of. Chips warm and sauce was perfect. Service was fast and pleasant. Did not do desserts but look like they had 5 to 7 to choose from. Two dining rooms to eat in. Checked in me often. I will go back.
I wanted to share this is the best mexican food ive ever had. They also went out of their way to make sure the food was what i wanted and it WAS! Please try the mole rojo with enchiladas. Super nice people who made my day!
Our was delicious and hot. The steak & shrimp was very good. The staff was very nice and friendly. Thank you 😊
The sign outside said authentic Mexican food. They all say that but most aren't. I was pleasantly surprised today with a most enjoyable lunch at Casa Grande Mexican Restaurant. My Tacos al la Mexicana (street tacos) were delicious. Not only were they made will fresh/real/not store bought tortillas but tender and very flavorful beef. Some of the best I have ever eaten. Not greasy tacos but delicious tacos. The nachos were prepared separately as the should be and the tamales were great. The service was exceptional.
I enjoyed sour cream chicken enchiladas and beef taco rice and beans. It was pretty good. Waitress very friendly and explained everything. Fast service. Clean restaurant.
Authentic Mexican food with a peaceful atmosphere and friendly staff. Must try is the “Bacon Cream Chicken”

The menu is full of standard Tex-Mex choices. The food quality is consistently good, and it's overall a great value. The service is fast and friendly.
"Shrimp Enchiladas Casa Grande" I travel pretty far for that dish sometimes. Great prices too.
I visited this place not too long ago, food was decent, but what really shines is the service. The chips and salsa came out at lightning speed! The young man who brought them out, Riki, was so kind and I could tell he really cared about our experience. The bathrooms, and restaurant as a whole, were also incredibly clean thanks to Riki! If you ever visit, I urge you to ask for Riki, you won’t regret it!
We found this restaurant a few months back and greatly enjoyed our meal. This past weekend we decided to take the whole family for dinner after a day at the pumpkin patch. We showed up with a party of 12 and they were immediately accommodating. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent. Our food was delicious and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The menu is expansive with many different dishes to appeal to all tastes. I highly recommend the Enchiladas Vaqueras - I enjoyed it so much on my first visit that I ordered it again when we returned.
A delightful gem and a perfect road trip stop located on the square. Family owned and operated. Mary, one of the owners, has one of the most vibrant personalities I’ve ever come across. The homemade tortillas are wonderful, and the avocado enchiladas are light, refreshing, and delicious 😋

The food was pretty good and the prices weren't bad. I would suggest they invest in some ventilation or a larger vent hood in the kitchen. Love Mexican food but don't want to smell like it when I leave.
Inexpensive menu and good food. I ate lunch there, had a combo platter so got to try a taco, an enchilada, and a tamale. All were good and the beans and rice were tasty too. Next time I'm passing through I will stop here. It's a good place. Worth visiting. 😁
Hungry after an early football game, and stumbled upon this little gem of a place.....I had the avocado enchiladas, which I've never seen anywhere before......and now wonder why the heck not? Thay were fantastic!! The service was great, too. Can't wait till I'm in the area again!
The service was amazing. Salsa and queso was great. Sweet tea is delicious. As far as food goes, I got the camaronês Al mojo de ajo because the server recommended it. It was fantastic in every regard EXCEPT the flour tortillas were too chewy and overcooked. However I ate it with corn instead and they were sooo good. That tomatillo sauce was tasty as hell. I’m just a little disappointed that in a pretty authentic Mexican restaurant the tortillas above all weren’t perfect.
Their margaritas are a little sweet but I'd still give them a 3.5. All the food I've tried has been a solid 4. Just good, consistent Tex-Mex.
Very nice meal with a good texture . Flavor was nice salsa was tasty . And the tortillas was great old school very authentic savory.. better than my Tio's...
We camped at Fort Richardson nearby and drove out to get lunch here. We got the Tamale Plate, Taco Plate, and the 3 Combo Plate w/ Taco, Enchilada, & Tamale. All dishes came with rice and beans. The food was good. Our waitress was very friendly. Reasonable prices.

Server was somewhat inattentive and just seemed like she was miserable being there. However, our orders were all correct and anytime we asked for something, she took care of it, just maybe a little slow at times. She did not ever ask if we needed refills on water, chips, salsa; we always had to ask. The guy that was doing the chips/salsa refills was pleasant and friendly. The food was very good. All the kids enjoyed what they ordered, from the cheapest nachos to the salmon. The fajita that night was a little overcooked for the chicken, but otherwise still very good. Love the chips/salsa here. Wish we lived closer so we could come here more often. Total bill with tax (not counting tip) was right at about $10/person for dinner (my wife and I shared the fajita special though, which saved a little $), which I was pleased with given the economic **** we are experiencing in the U.S.
Friendly service, called to place our order then went in to pick up order to go. Our order was ready and waiting for us, therefore it was quick service. The food was delicious, real mexican taste… Only thing we didn’t find tasteful were the corn tortilla chips which we thought tasted a bit “old”?! Which was upsetting being the salsa was very tasteful, it really would have been nice to have been able to enjoy the salsa w the chips and being we had ordered to go we were back at the hotel room when we discovered the chips to not be of our liking…Really wish they had later business hours, twice prior to this order we tried to stop in only they had already closed. If they had been open when we first tried to dine there we would have spent more $$$ being we would have ordered drinks / cocktails…

When they first opened and until approximately the last year, their service and food was awesome. Now they are getting horrible. The last few times I have ordered food to go they have either gotten the order wrong or forgotten something. And when you call or go back, you are treated as if it's your fault, you are talk to horrible. Poor customer service!!!! And the restaurant use to be clean, now it's starting to be dirty all the time. Shame! Shame!
Honestly it's not one of the better places I've eaten at. I was a Lil disappointed at how small of portions they served and I've eaten there 2 times and both times I got my food there was hardly any meat in the enchiladas, the second time my wife drove 25 miles to come have lunch with me, I felt bad taking her to this place she was really disappointed in how they hardly put meat in her food also. The service was awesome but I don't think I'll eat there again
Bottom of margarita goblets are filthy dirty. Can feel the grin on them. Husband pushed his margarita glass and it scratched. I ask what that was and he says feel the table. Table was not curable at all. Dried food on table. Beans had no flavor, rice pretty bland. Not authentic at all. If they can make an enchilada with chicken and cheese inside tortilla then they are frozen,
We decided to try out this spot due to other restaurants being closed down on a Saturday evening. The service was friendly and food arrived quick. The food was just average. I ordered the beef enchilada dinner which is usually a safe bet at any small town tex mex joint. The refried beans were quite runny and the food really did not have much flavor to it. I found myself adding heaps of salsa to improve the taste. My wife ordered the chicken fajita quesadillas. Again the taste was just average, nothing to brag about. The salsa was good and had some spice to it. The chips tasted stale as if they had not been cooked long enough. Would I eat here again, probably not. There are not many other choices around, so if you are hungry it will do but don't set your expectations too high.
I'll give it a few more tries may update review. Burger is overpriced because it was like smaller than a kids mcdouble for 8 dollars, over cooked, and was garbage on the burnt bun. I dont need to tell you to not burn food that's a given and why I put this review but I will try other dishes. I get its mexican restraunt blah blah but dont put it on your menu and compete with other mexican restaurants that have amazing burgers like el paseos. But again I'll try out other dishes when I ride through again.
Being from the Houston area there’s a certain caliber that is expected for Mexican food and this was not it or anywhere close. The chips and salsa were the highlight… I initially ordered the brisket tacos with corn tortillas but they were out of brisket, so the waitress came back to ask if chicken or beef was okay and I told her chicken would be fine. When my tacos arrived they were steak tacos on flour tortillas. The meat seemed microwaved and the rice and beans tasted line they had been sitting for a day. Not the best experience to say the least
The food was alright, I've had better. I had the fajita combo but the rice had a weird flavor, I did not care for, so I did not eat it.

Our server was sweet but they forgot my granddaughters food until we asked them about it both times we had been there. By the time she got her chicken and French fries both times everyone else was finished eating. Not sure what was going on there but it's always better when they bring the kids plates out earlier, not later. The food was great . Server was very sweet.
I've had better and I've had worse Mexican food. The prices are 7.99 for simple meals to 11.99. Again I wish the cooks would forget the salt! The place itself was simple and clean. Some of best food I've eaten as been in simple places across the USA, so I don't judge the place but I do the food, as long as the place is clean. The waitress was fair and nice she just forgot to come back and fill our glass's.

Only Mexican joint in town. Not Northside quality. Seen no street tacos on the menu. Just wanted al carbon con onions and cilantro or pastor even bistic. But they ofer fajita. Anyways, staff was nice and attentive and they are busy. I would not go there to eat in the first place had it not been for a graduation function. If one was inclined to do a true Mexican restaurant in Jacksboro...they could make bank.
So, I'm a Mexican food lover..... I left work to get Casa Grande and ordered $37.84 worth of food. The nachos were small and lacked flavor. The stuffed jalapenos WERE FROZEN TYPE, LIKE SONICS. 4 FROZEN STUFFED JALAPENOS FOR $6.99?.... SCAM. The Flautitas were also freezer type. Why? Are you that lazy? The chili con queso has no spicy element, it's like they heated up Velveeta. Will not be spending that type of money there again.
Food was good, including the salsa and spicy fajitas. Atmosphere was a little better than average with many pieces of Spanish artwork along the walls. Service was a whole other story. Our waitress never came back to see us, not even once. We waited about 20 minutes to get the bill. When I asked the waitress about a military discount, I got an immediate "no." When I asked the cashier the same question, she asked for my ID. Once I showed it to her, she said a discount would apply. Based on our waitress, we have no plans of returning.
Stopped here on a road trip and ordered fajitas. At $12.99, I expected more than this. Road trip or not, I will not be back. 2 stars for good taste and polite wait staff.

Had the enchilada plate.. chili gravy was off flavored...fixed with bell peppers, beans were too runny, $3 tea was weak, rice was good and so were the chips. Workers only spoke Spanish loudly except when they spoke to me.. that's ok but they were too loud.
I only went in for appetizers. I ordered the eight flautas plate, and when they arrived they were very very dry. I will not ever order that again the salsa tasted like picante sauce they poured out of a jar. I may try the restaurant one more time. Restaurant was very clean. The staff was very friendly!

I had a shrimp salad supposedly to had romaine lettuce but we I got it it was iceberg which wouldn't have been a problem if it was the green part of the lettuce. It was bitter and the shrimp tasted weird. I pray to God that I dont get sick. I will never go back. Next time I'll stick to Neri's.
Well its the only place open on Monday. We are out of towners and love to try new places. I noticed that the only good reviews were just stars so we were going to go find someplace else to eat. Unfortunately like I said it was the only place open. I ordered the tacos and it had meat and that was it. My husband had a hamburger and he said it had very little flavor. Very expensive for next to nothing food. Sorry but we will not be coming back.
Normally it’s one of my favorite restaurants but today not so much. To start off our server forgot us and when we finally got our food it was burnt and a small hard piece of bacon, I show her and she brings me another bun cold and picks up my plate while still eating.
My coworkers and I bought food to-go from here today. I ordered the Pollo A La Mexicana. I noticed some black specks in my beans and upon further inspection, realized my beans were full of bugs. My coworker who also had refried beans with her meal checked and hers had bugs in them too. We called the restaurant and told them about it and they basically said well we’ve never had that problem before I don’t know what to tell you. Won’t be coming back here. Concerns me that there were literal bugs found in their food and they did not seem to care.
