Listen I did not know this little hidden gem was right up the street from where me and my husband live, we decided to stop at the laundromat and do a couple of loads of laundry and noticed this place next door and was like, let's go check it out, Ms. Gina. I believe she is. The owner, greeted us very pleasantly... We ordered three fried chicken beans and rice plates & two banana colas... We were the only customers at that time. So the place was empty. Her attitude was quite friendly and refreshing. The atmosphere What's pleasant? The food was amazing. The chicken, even though it looked dried out. Trust me, when I tell you. It was very juicy & well-seasoned... The coleslaw. Was amazing. I wish I could have had a lot more than that. L o l I started to go back and ask her to do me a pint of it... Sometimes you have to get out and explore your neighborhood. The food reminds me of straight-home cooking, which is refreshing. That means a lot coming for me. I don't eat out because I am very picky. We'll be paying, Ms. Gina. A visit again... So if you guys are ever on the west side of Jacksonville, go check her out, you won't be disappointed... For 3 plates & two banana colas plus tip..it was $43

I ordered the Legumes with Rice and Plantain along with Pickliz. The flavors are 10/10! The portion size compared to the price of the entree is 5/10. It was $2 for the pickliz and it came in one of those small condiment cups (enough to hold 2 table spoons-not an exaggeration). The legumes is advertised as being vegetarian but it isnt. There was definitely meat on the bone in my legumes but I was able to pick around it. Despite that, this is a great restaurant and I would order again. Amazing authentic flavors, especially loved the pickliz, wish there was more!

I ordered the Turkey and most of the pieces were dry and mostly bone. There was some tender meat but not enough worth the $16+ tax I paid for the meal. Also didn’t like the pikliz it had a weird smell and flavor not really vinegary like I’m used to.

The food is great but the customer service is horrible. The kids that answer the phones have no manners and does not know how to speak to people. The best food comes from the places with the worse customer service

They need to make sure food ready on time And fix uber eat when the food not available in the order ,u can place ur order and don't even get what u really order 😒

If I can put this review in with Zero stars I would but it would not let me write this review. I was expecting the Haitian experience but they had nothing I wanted to order off the menu except chicken wings. 1 they didn’t have any trays so we bought one from family dollar so they can put our food inside 2. They didn’t have ice for our drinks. 3. She tried to over charge us 4. The lady taking the order was rude for no reason 5. They had alcohol on display but only had prestige bear. If you are looking for some Haitian food I would not recommend this place.

I showed up roughly 10 mins later. The food was grossly overpriced but as I'm craving Haitian food I was still excited to try at least once. Alas I should have followed my gut. I barely received anything for the $13 I paid. And the food was cold, barely any griot, the diri kole was very yellowish (it's usually more brown) the banan taste days old. The pikliz was like a pinch in the ramikan. I don't even think I was given a fresh plate of food, tasted like someone's old refrigerated left overs. It wasn't even edible. Ended up in the trash minutes after I got home. I guess I'll just take the L here but lesson learned.
