Great service, very attentive, and the food (Crab Rangoons to start, Sichuan Beef Stir Fry, and their award winning Mandarin Orange cake to finish) was super tasty. The atmosphere was nice and clean, they have a cool robot serving table that helps the server bring the food to you. Chef Dennis is very friendly and asked every table how their food came out. I’ll be coming back with friends and family.

Shout out to Tina and the staff for being so accommodating, especially today when it is so busy. Party of 13 served by Brandon and he was incredible. The restaurant was busy, busy he took care of us as if we were the only table in his area. Thank you Brandon for going above and beyond for our family. The food was amazing, everything is fresh and from the youngest 1.5 year old to the oldest in the mid 60’s enjoyed every morsel. Orange cake is truly award winning as posted. One of our favorite spots to eat. All the staff is always professional and welcoming. See you next year!

We hosted 30 people in the private dining area for my 50th birthday. Tina (GM) made the menu and planning a breeze. She was communicative and exceeded expectations. Service from Ashley and Tagen was excellent and the food, from apps to entrees were the right temp and flavorful. Chef Denise and his team have a truly special place full of delicious food, charming people and a wonderful atmosphere, right in the heart of Mandarin!

If you’re looking for something truly special in the Mandarin area, Blue Bamboo Canton Bistro is an absolute must-visit. The menu is delicious, creative, and thoughtfully crafted—a perfect blend of authentic Asian flavors with a fresh, modern, and hip twist. Every dish shows intention and passion. Dennis, a lifelong Mandarin resident, pours his heart into his food, and it shows in every bite. His creativity, dedication, and love for the craft are a true asset to the community. This place is a gem, and anyone who dines here will leave impressed, satisfied, and already planning their next visit.

Blue Bamboo is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Jacksonville. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. You can tell real care goes into every dish. The Sichuan bowl was packed with bold flavor without being overpowering, and everything came out hot and beautifully presented. What really sets this place apart, though, is the customer service. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind from start to finish. They made great recommendations, checked in at the right moments, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. If you’re looking for amazing food, great service, and a place that clearly takes pride in what they do, Blue Bamboo is a must. I’ll definitely be back.

Such a wonderful dining experience all the way around. Loved sitting in a booth in the bar area. It was cosy and easy to have a conversation.waitress was very attentive. We need to eat here more often! Great dining experience. Great to see Dennis again. Thank you for your hospitality and great food.

Food was so-so, average tasting. The Sichuan chicken was mostly onion and it was cold. The only tasty dish was the award winning dessert, of orange cake. Atmosphere was very loud and you can hear from all the other tables. The robot server was cool. Chef Dennis was there and he seems very nice. Still looking for tasty Chinese food in Jax.

Judging by how busy they were, this place definitely found their target audience. Unfortunately it’s a no for me. If you’re looking for flavorful, authentic chinese I’d keep looking. The food was okay - very basic and bland. The drinks were 🗑️ . The only thing I thoroughly enjoyed was the orange cake. Definitely overpriced for what it is.

My boyfriend and I are foodies and came here for a date night, but we were left disappointed overall in the food. We ordered the crab rangoons appetizer, and they were pretty decent. For the entrees we had the chicken fried rice, and two chefs special items: Sichuan eggplant and beef rib noodles. The rice was the best part of the dinner. It had a nice flavor, but a lot of onions. The beef noodles were NOT what I was expecting, and a bit greasy. They came balanced on a styrofoam noodle cup with a rib on top, which although eye catching, did not look so appealing. Neither of us liked the eggplant. The sauce was overwhelming and it didn’t have a good balance of flavor that I am used to with traditional Chinese eggplant dishes. It didn’t look that appetizing either and we could only eat a couple bites and did not take it home. Apart from the food, the restaurant itself was beautiful and had a nice elegant atmosphere. There was some event happening when we arrived as well. The service was also nice, and the waitress was attentive. We were honest about the food, but they were very understanding. Something else I noted was that we had to ask for chopsticks and it took a several minutes for them to hunt some down for us. Didn’t expect that in a Chinese restaurant. In the end we were not very impressed and could have gotten similar food for cheaper at a regular takeout place. Maybe we got the wrong things, and maybe we will come back here if things change, but if you seek more authentic Chinese food like we do, I recommend looking elsewhere.

From the reviews this place looked amazing. Ordered Wonton soup and it came out cold. To be polite, we asked if it could be heated. It still came out lukewarm and flavorless. Ordered noodles and again the food was lukewarm, with no flavor. The noodles were white, and all the rest of the vegetables and chicken. Basically had no sauce on it. There is nothing Cantonese about this Restaurant. If a robot has to deliver your food, I guess it’s not worth going to.
