I like this place a lot! The lady who greeted and took my order was very kind and resourceful. She asked had I ever been there before and when I answered no, she explained the menu, showed me the popular items, and helped to pick out the classic style lobster roll and had no problem customizing it to my preference. She even allowed me to sample the coleslaw before I committed to it! I dined in the place is clean, they play good music, and the food is fresh, light, refreshing, and tasty 😋. Now I gotta visit them after every mani/pedi and laser treatment 🫣 idk if this is a good thing, but I’m going to do it either way 😇
Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls – Town Center, Jacksonville, FL As someone from Maine temporarily working down here in Jacksonville, I had to stop by Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls to see how their rolls stacked up against the real thing from back home, and I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Bar Harbor Classic Roll, which is served chilled with a light mayo, exactly how I like it. This version comes with 50% more lobster meat, and at $28, it was actually a great deal. Honestly, you’d pay more than that in Maine right now for the same portion. I also got a side of potato salad, which was fresh and tasty. My only minor suggestion for the roll would be to go easy on the celery salt they sprinkle on top, next time, I might ask to hold it. If you’re in Jacksonville and craving an authentic Maine-style lobster roll, Mason’s is absolutely worth a visit.
The overall experience was great. The Connecticut roll was hot and buttery with tender lobster. The lobster mac n Cheese was amazing. It was creamy, perfectly cooked pasta, and topped with a generous portion of lobster claw meat.
When I found out that they are open at St John's town center, I was so happy -no more driving to Amelia Island! They use only the sweetest, most decadent lobster that comes from Maine 🦞 We tried •lobster salad roll ( Served chilled and tossed in celery, mayo & lemon dressing) •lobster mac & cheese •New England clam chowder and they were DELISH!! I need to try Lobster Bisque next! The price is a little pricey for sandwiches but they use the finest lobster so I totally understand why. The staff was super nice even though I went there right before they closed. Try this place if you love lobster!
I love Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls! I have been three times since they have opened and brought new people each time. I have loved every second of the Connecticut lobster roll and the lobster bisque. The best part of this place is the consistency, always delicious and always the same. I would recommend this place as this is the most “affordable” lobster roll I can find in Jacksonville, Florida. They are averaging about $21 for a lobster roll compared to many places only having MKT prices at $45 for one roll. The service and staff have always been very kind and I would recommend this place to anyone who loves lobster!
I proudly came here knowing how amazing their first location is in Fleming island. I had a wonderful experience. Plenty of staff on hand training, my wait time for my two rolls was short, and the product was just as amazing as I remember it being when visiting their sister location. I’m happy to have a new masons lobster much closer to where I live so I can frequent this location now. I ordered one roll to eat in house, and one to go. My to go roll was wrapped perfectly to keep safe until I got home, which also included a pickle slice! I got a bottled water and was on my way. A fast and friendly service. I will be back and I love how much lobster is on each roll. The portion sizes are perfect. Happy to support this family owned and operated establishment. The customer service at both locations I’ve visited has always been outstanding. The restaurant is always clean and bright, and the rolls just as scrumptious as ever.
They greet you with a hello as soon as you enter the door. The lobster rolls are good. I wish they had smaller rolls so you can experience up to three rolls as a sampler. And they have Old Bay on the table.
Best lobster roll in Jacksonville! My husband and I both got the Connecticut Roll because we love warm lobster roll. I especially appreciated that the roll was perfectly buttered. Such a simple thing but we often find that others make it too dry or too soggy with butter. We got the Soup combo for $1 off and the Clam chowder was also equally amazing. Ventilation was poor for indoor dining (smoke from the cook) so we opted to dine outdoor.
The one in Fernandina Beach has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine. The food is always incredibly delicious, and the atmosphere is just wonderful. Every visit feels special, and it’s a place I truly enjoy. I was so excited to hear that a new location is opening in St. Johns Town Center! I’ve been waiting for this and can’t wait for it to finally open. Looking forward to enjoying the amazing food and experience in the new spot soon!
An Amazing Experience at Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls! A Must-Visit! We visited Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls with our whole family, and the place exceeded all our expectations! We were with our twins, and finding a spot where both adults and kids enjoy the food is a real stroke of luck. Well, this is exactly that kind of place! The children devoured their meals, which, for us as parents, is the best indicator of quality. I want to give a special thank you to the manager, Vladimir. He was incredibly attentive and helped us navigate the menu. I followed his advice and ordered a dish based on his recommendation—it was absolutely divine! The lobster was incredibly fresh, the bun was soft, and the sauce was perfect. It was a true culinary delight. The service is top-notch, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. If you want to try authentic lobster rolls, this is definitely the place to go. We left full, happy, and with the warmest impressions. A huge thank you to Vladimir and the entire Mason's team!

Delicious lobster rolls! Fresh Maine lobster. Generous portions of meat in each roll. A little pricey but pretty typical price point for Maine lobster all the way down in FL.
First time in Jacksonville and realized I had underpacked for my cruise. Needed to make a stop in another shop and came across this business. We had 2 lobster rolls one with the combo and one without. Warm and cold. Both were so freaking good. The warm is the star but cold was also refreshingly good. I wish I had taken a photo but we ravaged it. If we ever come back here we will come here again to try something different. The price is a little high but I guess for fast casual lobster I dont really want it to be too cheap. All and all though so freaking good
My daughter and I enjoyed the Connecticut roll and the original roll on Thursday night for dinner. Oh my goodness!! Let me start off my letting you know that im from Maine, so my standards are fairly high. We both thoroughly loved it and are already planning our next visit this week. The Connecticut roll was warm, the bread was toasted to perfection and the lobster meat was tender and stuffed to the max, with just the right amount of melted butter. I've tried ALL of the other rolls in town and nothing compares to Mason's!!

Food’s great, love a good lobster roll. Service is lightning quick (lobster rolls are easy to assemble). The rolls are substantial. Not anything especially large, but exactly a typical lobster roll. The restaurant was nice and clean. No complaints. Only problem is lunch for two was $70. Expected, for lobster rolls, but not something I’m going to eat regularly. If you want to try a lobster roll, this is a great place to do that!
First visit. I got the classic lobster roll (cold, mayo based dressing, warm toasted bun) and a side of potato salad. The lobster roll was solid, but I have had many lobster rolls in New England and it was not the best one I’ve had. The size of the roll was on the lighter side. In addition, the cost of the roll plus the side (including tax and tip) was about $30 for a solo lunch trip. I realize lobster is pricey, but I would rather pay more than this for a lobster roll with *more* lobster and bursting with *more* flavor. This is why it’s 4 stars and not 5. I will say the potato salad was excellent. Better than the red potato salad at Publix, which I consider pretty good. It had lots of flavor and a nice tang. I’m glad this spot is in Jax, as I think it is a unique addition to the Town Center. I would be interested to come back and try the hot butter lobster roll, along with some of the other rolls, but it’s going to be more occasional visits due to the price and the overall value.
Nothing was bad. Everything was good. Can't mess lobster up. Service was good. Place was new and nice. Here is the bad. $80.58 for dinner for 2. We left hungry. The sandwich is not a lobster on a roll, lobster roll. It's lobster mostly claw meat on a single toasted texas slice of bread. The value was a 1 of 5. The food was good, but not $80 wow! 1st time in we splurged. Got extra lobster on all dishes. All toppings of lobster are claw meat didn't see and tail meat. So??? Nothing was bad food was good, value non existing and wow factor was smashed by no tail meat.
The Bar Harbor Lobster roll was amazing. Lobster dip, we did not like at all. The Lobster Bisque was meh. Stick to the Lobster Roll here.
I'm here at Mason lobster rolls, St. Johns town center. This place is hopping. I got the Bar Harbor extra lobster, Connecticut Style. My sandwich was topped with a whole lobster tail. It was tossed in the right amount of butter, and not greasey at all. Lobster tasted good and fresh. The lobster under my tail was chopped i think. The roll was nicely toasted, and buttery. The food came out pretty fast. I decimated the roll. Will try the smaller one next time

Lobster is very fishy. Ordered the hot one. Some of its hot some is ice cold. Bread is mushy and to much of it. Also taste weird. No butter on the roll or the lobster, and to top it off my tots were half cooked. The place was empty I showed up at 1115 so it wasn’t busy.
I'm not sure how to rate this. The man was bagging the orders literally came to give me my order he literally walked from behind the counter to look at my receipt number instead of putting it on the counter and calling my number. Others were able to walk to counter and get their orders without him looking at their receipts. The young lady that took my order was very cheerful and pleasant. Not sure about the guy being extra. I guess that's part of trying eateries for the 1st and last time. Looking at these pictures posted is not how my order looks like and especially for what I paid.

Wicked bad... Having had lobster rolls from Alaska to Florida, California to Maine these were the most expensive and barely considered mediocre. All rolls are cold, except one, and even that one was cold in most parts. For a $30 combo I expected more than that type of roll, counter oven baked tots, and a CO2-less soda fountain (but at least they had canned soda). The meat in my "hot roll" was cold and took some serious chewing to get through parts. The lobster mac and cheese had various cold spots throughout (presuming it was the cold lobster). Cheap, fresh Maine lobster rolls are the best. Alaskan and California rolls held there own. Better still was an Arizona food truck where we got more food, that was better, for a $20 combo. I can only assume we're paying for their store front in the price difference. Being the only ones there makes sense now at dinner time. Good staff, good service, but fundamentally broken menu and pricing. Hope you guys had a fluke with us and do well in the long run.
ordered the classic roll, cold lobster meat with no flavor bun barely had any mayonaise and butter and whatever it was supposed to have, way over priced for a small roll and a few tater tots and 2 ketchup packets and 1 lemon wedge, could of spent my 30$ plus tip on a juicy steak somewhere else. Definelty not worth the money and definetly not the Worlds Best Lobster roll like they claim to make. LOL!! enjoy my donation Mason because never again sorry not up to par, step it up guys!!
