Green Papaya Thai Cuisine（Northside Location）

One of the best, if not the best Thai food I have had in the east coast. The interiors looked polished which made me feel underdressed with just dress shorts. Well this is Florida and I would take that for granted. For appetizers, we had the mango spring roll. The creamy peanut sauce added flavor to the spinet roll. The dish was 6$ but by just looking at the presentation, one would presume it to be double the cost. The Tom yum soup tasted authentic with just enough lemon grass and fish sauce flavor. However, going overboard with 4 star spice killed some of th me flavor that the soup brought in. For entrees, we had the green curry with chicken and pad Thai. For the first time, I have seen Pad Thai made with thin noodles that flat noodles. The dish wasn't too slimy or too dry. I have seen pad Thai in both side of the spectrum. They did justice to their national dish. The green curry was flavorful with coriander and ginger. None of the the 2 primary ingredients over powered each other. We did order the mango salad. It was surprisingly generous in lightly fried cashew nuts. Thai iced tea was ok but not bad. Service was great and too intrusive. Great food at nominal prices, appreciable decor and service.

Very tasty food and large portions. I came for an early dinner with coworkers and ordered a Thai tea and the chicken udon noodles. Food came out pretty quickly and was hot and tasty. I’m not a spice lover but this dish wasn’t bad at all. It was actually very mild. The Thai tea was very creamy and just the right sweetness. My coworkers had the red and green curries. We all enjoyed our food.

Five of us, and we left super happy, super full and with five left over boxes. Chicken Pad Thai, Thai Chili Tanarind Seafood, Amazing Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, Shrimp Thai Basil Fried Rice. We live in GA, about 30 minute drive. First time coming here, and it was well worth the drive.

This place is so so good. The wait staff are sweet and the food is delicious and comforting. We got pad Thai, curry massaman, rodi canai, and mango sticky rice. It was all delicious. Don’t miss this little gem if you are in the area.

Visiting my sister for my birthday from South Florida, and she brought me to one of her favorite spots. We had the amazing curry with white rice and roti — everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be stopping by again on my next trip to Jacksonville!

Really nice restaurant. The waiter was professional and attentive. We did not have to wait for refills. The food was fresh and hot. Went there for Thanksgiving dinner. Recommend anyone waiting Thai cuisine.

Had the Amazing Curry with chicken and it was AMAZING!!! Large portions had enough for two days. For appetizers we had the lettuce wraps, Loved!!! Also had the house salad with Chicken satay, loved. We have dined in and picked up and each time everything was as ordered, nothing forgotten or was wrong.

Love love love their dishes. The place is very clean and the service is great. Servers are attentive here for sure. The spring rolls were very tasty.

The Crab Rangoon 🦀 was unlike any other I’ve had 🔥 Thank you for a great Christmas dinner ❤️💚

My wife and I had dinner here after dropping our son at the airport. We had a chicken Tom Kha soup, a house special Pad Thai, and a chicken Green Curry. We shared our meals to enjoy them all. The soup was very good with just the right heat and cream from coconut milk. Very tasty! The Curry was spicy by itself but it's very good when eaten with the brown rice. The Pad Thai was very delicious! It had chicken, beef, and shrimp. The noodles were not soggy or oily. Every bite is full of flavor! Nice ambiance in the restaurant. I like that they already have the spoon and fork on the table. Real Asian touch! Will definitely come back here!

I find Thai food usually better than most other types and this was a notch above most. Spice levels on dishes can be adjusted, flavoring great, and meal was fresh. Also served quickly after ordering. Did not get dessert but the dessert menu was enticing, along with the sake menu. 10/10, would go back and go out of my way to go back.

One of if not the best thai meals I've ever enjoyed. We got the sampler, the duck appetizer, and split an entrée and everything we ate was incredible. They have mastered the ingredients they use, and everything was seasoned perfectly. The food was well balanced and the sauces were on point. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I ate here months ago on a trip to Jax, and I am still thinking about it. I've eaten great food all over the country, and this is a MUST VISIT in my book.

UPDATE: I went to Green Papaya again and the food was excellent, per usual. Here are some pictures: We ordered the appetizer sampler (the peanut sauce was extremely good! Everything was so fresh and hot) For lunch, I ordered the Pad Seew w/ Chicken (excellent) and my partner ordered the Yellow Curry. The flavor of the curry was wonderful! I'm getting that next time! So, I've been wanting to go to Green Papaya for the longest, but never got around to it. I had the pleasure of trying them out today and it was absolutely wonderful! The decor and ambiance was so lovely! Beautiful music in the background, lovely furniture, and a very relaxed space. That was already a plus for me (the installation on the walls were beautiful as well). The food was excellent! I ordered the fresh spring rolls as an appetizer and they were a great portion. It was a good intro for the chicken pad thai, which came out piping hot and plated beautifully (both were plated very well). Next time I go, I'll be sure to take pictures. This was so worth the wait and I look forward to coming back soon! (Probably on my next pay day lol I enjoyed it that much)

An unexpectedly pleasant experience. Our host/waitress made our night with simple, knowledgeable and friendly service without being invasive or pushy. We didn't have a long wait and our food was delicious, especially for the cost. The only downside I think would be the relatively small dining room.

Very clean establishment.. Great customer service.. Food came quick.. My dish was ok... I think I should have gotten the curry but I had an Activity afterwards and didn't want to eat too heavy. Wife enjoyed her food... Cool place to check out.

Nice place to eat, small, cozy dining area is inviting. They had the ac a bit warm for the temperature outside and considering it's a Thai place and everyone will presumably be sweating from the food. The plates were nicley presented and garnished nicely. I got the Tom yum soup, which was good with lots of ingredients, but seemed like it could've used a bit more spice. The Thai egg rolls were fresh and flakey. The red curry was very good. Some of the best I've had. Delicious. The girl waiting on me was attentive, but seemed like she had the whole dining room and was very busy, but still did really well! Was a little pricey, but worth it

My Shumai appetizer and Pad Seew Entreé were both great, and the portions were very generous! The only thing I was slightly disappointed in was the fried ice cream dessert. The actual dessert did not look anything like the picture inside of the menu. Also, the fried breading around the ice cream tasted artificial, or like it had been pre-frozen or thawed out. It wasn’t a BAD dessert per se, but it did not taste “fresh” or homemade. Definitely a subpar fried ice cream. The service was average, not good, but not bad. The waitresses were not very talkative. Overall, I would certainly go back again! It was a pleasant experience. However, I would get a different dessert.

Green Papaya serves good Thai food. The spring rolls were super - one person in our party is allergic to shrimp so they made them with chicken with no issue. The seaweed salad was fair at best - wouldn’t recommend it. The Amazing Curry was very good as was the Thai Chili Cashew. Would definitely return.

We had a great evening at Green Papaya. They were able to sit our large party relatively quickly and delivered deliciousness to everyone. Portion sizes were great and all menu items were elegantly prepared and very tasty. We will be returning.

Tom Kha Gai - no lemon grass and but you used bell peppers?? So confused to why you would think this is a Thai Soup advertised as Tom Kha Gai. Save your money people and make your own or go to a different Thai restaurant. It was hot and didn’t taste bad but definitely wasn’t what they say it is.

I use to frequent before since returning the customer service has gone down. They gave me a glass that was cloudy and spotty, instead of just apologizing she said "oh it's just water" . Um ok. Ordered a soup it was warm in arrival. Told the waitress about it and with an attitude she yelled out "we will take it off this time!". I didn't even ask for it to be removed so instead of fixing it they just took it off and here I am left with no dinner! This may be a reach but my other friends noticed how rude they are to people of color.

On behalf of a dear friend, I feel compelled to write this review. The service at this restaurant was utterly deplorable, as if the staff made it their mission to ruin our experience. Despite several attempts to clarify our order, the server still delivered the wrong dishes. Even worse, after we explicitly requested non-spicy food, they deliberately made it spicy. When we addressed the issue, the manager informed us that their policy prohibits returning incorrect orders and insisted we purchase a new meal without any compensation for their mistake. I absolutely cannot recommend this place—0/10.
