Went here for something spicy and they did not disappoint! Very flavorful! Just wish there was a little more chicken on the loaded fries. We got the hot and the hottest choice and both were great tasting!

Hot Chicken here is pretty good, freshly cooked and spicy! The spice level on the menu is pretty honest, so if you like hot.. get hot. But what surprised me the most during my visit today was the young staff. It's noticeably difficult to go to restaurants with young workers that take pride in their jobs and making guests feel welcomed. And that was just the case today! The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and stopped by tables to ensure everyone had what they needed. This is the key loyal customers in an overcrowded food scene. Good job!

Superb food. Ordered the 3 piece tender entree. Some of the best tenders I've ever had and I've had a lot of tenders. Huge, hand breaded, well sauced, incredibly juicy. Fries were crinkle cut, plentiful, and cooked well. Comeback sauce was the perfect dipping sauce for my meal. Homemade and very good. First time having Nashville style chicken, comes on a piece of white bread which was a really nice touch. Soaks up all the sauce and is a tasty addition when you finally reach it. Pickles were also great. Highly recommend.

This is, by far, the best NHC I've had outside of Tennessee, and certainly among the best I've ever had, period. Perfectly fried, crispy and juicy tenders. I opted for the "Hotter than a Mother Clucker" heat level, which is their hottest. And it certainly made me sweat, but not at the sacrifice of a beautiful taste. What a great experience here. Highly recommended!

Aight let’s be real, the chicken is great!!!! If it’s your first time start with medium heat and if you are a real heat fan then go up there and ask for the motherclucker!!!! The sides like the Mac & cheese and the collard’s could use some help but they are good. Maybe stick with the fries. I Will visit for some more fried chicken, Hell yeah!!!! So far the best for me!!! Oh and don’t forget the banana pudding!!!

I love Bold Birds. Best Nashville Hot chicken I can find since I don’t have a Hattie B’s close by. Beware, “hotter than a mother clucker” is very spicy. The food is delicious. I always get the hottest chicken sandwich. They serve a variety of beers and are in a neighborhood with surrounding bars. 10/10 recommend!

Quadaro or Q gave absolutely amazing service!! I came in a little later after he had already closed down the milkshake machine and was very disappointed that I missed out on delicious milkshake to pair with my meal. He gave great customer service as soon as I walked in including going out of his way to turn the machine back on and make me s milkshake anyway. It may seem like a small gesture but it meant a lot after a long day. That kind of service is rare. Thank you so much Q!

Crispy, golden, perfectly seasoned crust with a loud crunch, then BAM—juicy, tender chicken that tastes like it was loved, respected, and raised right. The seasoning? On point. Not salty, not bland—just that “what IS this?” flavor that makes you stop talking mid-sentence. You don’t even need sauce… but if you dip it anyway, that’s just luxury behavior. These tenders are the kind that make you close your eyes, nod your head, and rethink every other chicken tender you’ve ever eaten. Smack momma good.

This is quite possibly the best *chicken* restaurant in Jax, let alone the best HOT chicken restaurant. I eat here weekly and am never disappointed. The owners are hands on, friendly with customers, and make sure everything runs well even when hit with crowds & delivery orders. Can't recommend them enough!

Very large dining area and parking lot with lots of space, customer service is cool and polite. I’ve had the MIMIS Chicken sandwich and just tried the tenders, the tenders are my new favorite! The HOT flavor is in my opinion perfect heat level for us hot lovers! Gives you that sweat across the forehead but you forget it once all the flavors hit you! Stop by you won’t be disappointed

I tore into the chicken and man, it was the juiciest white meat chicken breast I have ever had and the Nashville Hot was awesome, I had tried it at fast food places and wasn't impressed. Bold Birds made me a believer. The waffle was great, like died and gone to Heaven great. To go we decided to get a milkshake and share it. I thought my wife was going to make me go back and get another, because I bogarted most of it... Real chocolate ice cream blended to perfection. Not a bad spot for a good chicken sandwich. Idk why they call it “Nashville hot chicken” if doesn’t have the same texture or taste of nhc but still a solid juicy chicken sandwich. The pimento cheese is amazing. I’d give this place a 8/10

Our first time here & we dined in. Went on a Sunday afternoon, about 2 hours before closing (they close at 3pm on Sundays). It was a bit slow for service, only had 1 person up front running things but she was incredibly kind & helpful. The food was delicious, worth the wait. A ton of spice & flavor but not too hot. I got the Pimento Cheese Chicken Sandwich with fries. The sandwich was so HUGE & juicy, flavorful, tender. I would definitely eat it again. My fiancé got the tenders & they were just as good! He got Mild flavor & I opted for Hot. Hot wasn’t really too spicy, but just right! If you like Nashville Hot flavor, you’ll love their chicken. We also got banana pudding & it was delicious! Only reason for the 4 star rating is the price. It was almost $50 for us to get a Chicken sandwich, tenders, fries, tea & very very small portion of dessert for the price ($5.50). Drinks aren’t included which is silly, considering the food is going to make you thirsty haha. I don’t know if we will come back due to the price, but definitely worth the experience! I’d recommend trying them at least once. Great ambiance inside the restaurant & they have outdoor seating as well!

Chicken tenders are very moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The hottest level of their Nashville chicken sandwich is brutal! Waffles are pretty good. There are some inconsistencies in their menu such as when you order chicken and waffles. The menu states you can have white meat, dark meat, chicken wings or tenders, but the cashier stated you could only have wings or tenders.

I used to eat here quite a bit. The hot chicken is great. I’d get my meal and my wife would get the kid grilled cheese because she doesn’t like fried chicken. One day we went to order and they refused to allow my wife to order the grilled cheese, since it was a kid’s meal. She explained that she doesn’t eat fried chicken and isn’t very hungry. They said no exceptions, they lose money on grilled cheeses ($6, wonder bread and plain American cheese), and told her she had to order an adult meal, which did not include any grilled cheese option. So since my wife wouldn’t be able to eat, we left, and haven’t been back. At least they saved the money on that grilled cheese.

First Visit: Excellent. Chicken was crunchy on the outside, juicy and steaming on the inside. The hottest level (mother-clucker) was very intense and perfect for real hot pepper aficionados. 2nd Visit: Just OK. Ordered the same thing. Chicken was not as fresh, and felt like it was sitting out for a while. Heat level was lacking -seemed more like "mild." Maybe the loss in hotness is also a result of the chicken sitting out.

I eat here often for lunch Most of the times 4 out of 5 visits its great. Some of the BOH staff must not care, today no mild sauce on my wrap like requested and on order receipt. They just put the wrap together any way, 1/2 of it had 2 bites of chicken. The other times is absoluately great 1 guy in the BOH is just great always perfect, he is very nice makes sure everything is perfect

I manage the apartment next door and have eaten lunch here to 4 times in last 2 wks always to go. I ordered the salads each time expect today. Salads are wonderful Today I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and fries to go, and it was very disappointing. The wrap had only a couple bites of chicken and was about 90% lettuce. The fries were soggy and had no flavor. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this menu item The staff is always wonderful

They stayed in over so long the meat dried out as well. The breast and will however, was fresh and steaming with plenty of flavor. We also orded the pimento fritters. They were big and full of flavor.

You are much better off going to Chick-fil-a, because at least you will get what you paid for. $25 for 2 chicken strips, fries, and old mac and cheese, is outrageous. We probably would have gone back to complain, but even on a Wednesday night, there was absolutely no parking within a half mile. (Mind you there was only one other customer there when he arrived. So the missed food and poor quality wasn’t due to capacity issues. Had it been busy, maybe we would have understood.)
