Our Waitress, Heydi (Pronounced as Heidi) made our meal fabulous! Her patience with our order (party of 4), and an explanation of the food selections was so very kind. There are so many choices. I ordered Soursop, Lemonade and Passion fruit for myself to calm my anxiety. I selected the porterhouse with white rice, sweet plantain, vegetable kabob. A salute to the chef!! Tender, juicy and sizzling hot. We celebrated another couples' wedding anniversary and her citizenship with a cake and Heydi was like a wedding planner. Food was on time, suggestions were met with the perfect answer, and she was sincerely sweet in being a hostess for the gathering. Please ask for Heydi by name when you go. I have been to other Columbian restaurants, but I really enjoyed my first trip here. It is great to know that it is not far from my home. The music was the best too. Thank you to the entire staff!!

We were in town to visit family and to stay by the ocean. At best this place was a 25 min ride from our hotel on the beach. It was so worth it, the drinks were delightful, food was delicious and lasted us 2 more meals. So much food. I could tell this place is loved by the locals, I felt a piece of Colombia 🇨🇴 the minute we walked in. If you want authentic Colombian food, this place is a gem.

I went solely there because Latin food is my favorite but I’m doing a vegan diet so I got the vegetarian empanadas, they were okay… however the vegetarian rice with veggies was DELICIOUS!! Everything is pricey but yummy!! 5/5 I’d come again

Our friend from Jacksonville introduced us to Salento Colombian Steakhouse, and I’m so glad they did. The food was outstanding, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt very welcoming and family-oriented. The fresh juices were my favorite—so refreshing and instantly reminded me of my travels to Colombia and Ecuador. I also loved their homemade chimichurri sauce and ended up using it on everything, from the grilled steak to the tostones. If you’re looking for authentic Colombian food with great flavors and a warm vibe, I highly recommend Salento Colombian Steakhouse.

Fantastic! Steak was sizzling, tender and delicious. Empanadas were flavorful with a nice crispy exterior. Rice and beans were perfect. Salad was the only thing that was a bit basic. Ranch dressing however made up for it. Sangria was fresh made, light, and fruity. Unique Colombian beer selection. Looking forward to coming back.

The wide range of offerings speaks to a culinary team that knows how to balance authenticity with artistry. We chose the Salento Special for Two. A generous spread that showcased the kitchen’s talents. The platter arrived brimming with carne asada, chicken, ribs, chorizo, and pork rind. A feast designed for sharing. Each component was distinct yet harmonious. The carne asada was seasoned to perfection, tender and deeply flavorful. The chicken, while thinner than expected, was juicy and well-prepared. The ribs, with their subtle dry rub, became the star of the show; smoky, tender, and effortlessly falling off the bone. The chorizo sausage brought a burst of spice and richness, while the crispy pork rind added both visual flair and satisfying crunch. To complement the spread, we ordered shrimp in garlic sauce. Plump, buttery, and infused with bold flavor. The vegetable skewer, cooked just right, added balance and color to an already impressive table. The service matched the quality of the cuisine. From the warm greeting at the door to the attentive pacing of each course, every touch reflected care and pride. Our waiter was both personable and professional, anticipating our needs with ease. As for value, Salento confidently earns its place in the upscale dining category. Prices reflect the quality, yet portions are more than generous. The Salento Special for Two was enough to satisfy more than a couple, and when paired with the shrimp entrée, it felt like a full culinary journey across Colombia. I have been to this location a few times before. I decided to go here for lunch yesterday. Parking was slightly difficult to find, being that it's a shared parking lot. After having to wait a couple of minutes, I did manage to find an available parking space. The service was very good this day, and the restaurant was slightly crowded as well. I decided to have yellow rice with shrimps and fried green plantains. All items were very good. I also love their variety of grilled meats as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Salento Steakhouse. We visited early Thursday around 11:15am. We were the first ones in. The server was extremely kind and pleasant. The decor and atmosphere was inviting. All the food and drinks that we had were delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and it wasn't salty! The restaurant and the restroom was very clean.

Birthday celebration for a guy that is referred to a "Meat & Potatoes" kinda guy, and he loved what was recommended for him. Very busy restaurant recommen a reservation if a party more then 5. Although we didn't request a birthday in the restaurant did and they sung it very well with lots of excitement.

My sister-in-law has been telling us about this amazing little steakhouse for a while and it did not disappoint. We all ordered the filet mignon with a different cook and all three were just absolute perfection. The potatoes were lovely, as were the plantains. The wait staff was hustling and friendly as well. Fun to watch! If the wine had come out a little sooner it would have gotten that extra star. I'd also have say that the environment and unique decor made up for that. It's actually the perfect little date night spot. We'd definitely be regulars if we lived just a little closer.

I’d heard nothing but great things about Silento Steakhouse, so I finally decided to stop in for a solo dinner—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. I kicked things off with the empanadas, which were the perfect appetizer, followed by a perfectly cooked steak and an impressive spread of sides. My server, Melvin, was a total pro. He made me feel right at home and guided me through the menu with such expertise that I didn't have to second-guess a single choice; his recommendations truly made the evening feel special. I finished the night with a cortadito and the tres leches cake, which were the perfect finale. If you’re in Jacksonville and looking for a top-tier meal with service to match this is the spot!

As soon as you step inside, the aroma of grilled food tells you you’re in the right place. The roasted tripe appetizer was delicious—especially those crispy bits—and the salsa added a great kick. My husband loved his Salento combination (the chicken was super juicy), and my Bandeja Paisa was perfect. Major points for the chicharron having a good meat-to-fat ratio! Can’t wait to go back.

Everything is really good, and the food is pretty good too, but with a few simple tweaks it could be so much better. The blood sausage as well as the empanadas are both a little too mushy on the inside. The taste was fine, the texture was just a little unexpected. The Yuca as well as the potato french fries were drenched in oil. I have had Yuca con mojo, but this is Yuca fries. Who wants mushy french fries!? I also have tried the whole fried potatoes, they seemed boiled or steamed. No crispy to the outside. The steaks were excellent. It's just the sides I had issues with. But other than that I really enjoyed the experience and will go back.

This was our first time here so you’ll expect the customers to take a little bit of time to check and understand the menu, but she was impatient. Yesterday, Thursday, I visited the restaurant. I had been there before with my family and we had no problems. But yesterday the food was overcooked or reheated; it seems they changed the head chef, because I hadn't had any problems before.
