We stopped by for a quick bite and received fast and friendly customer service. When you walk in. There's a person to assist you the ordering and serving process. The food comes out really quickly. By the time we washed our hands and sat down, the food was ready. The birria grilled cheese is served with a wonderful tasting tomato basil soup that tasted homemade. My only complaint would be with the fact that it came with just a couple of french fries. I'm not sure if that's the norm or if we were just shorted on our portion of fries. The Taco trio was great as well. We had the birria taco, Caribbean taco, and the steak al pastor taco. All three were excellent!
Listen, after a day of shopping my kids wanted tacos so we went in here not knowing what to expect. Food was great, kids meals came with drinks but didn't like the only option were other drinks and bottle water. Wish the nachos had a bit more chips but I just snuck some from the kids meals. Their tacos were huge and toddler approved
I had such a great experience at Talkin’ Tacos! The food was absolutely delicious and came out surprisingly quick, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Our server Amanda was amazing, she was super attentive, friendly, and made sure everything we needed was taken care of without us even having to ask.
Came here while on vacation with some friends and the food and customer service were top tier! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Jaiden was so helpful and extremely friendly. I wanted a taste of many things so I ordered the taco trio, street corn in a cup, sweet plantains, and the Mexican rice. Everything was so delicious, especially the corn (best I’ve ever had)! Most of all, the prices are great for what you’re getting. We’ll definitely be coming back!
🚨 STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING RIGHT NOW 🚨 and head immediately to Talking Tacos! Like seriously, drop everything! 🤩 “Delicious” doesn’t even begin to cover it. These are hands-down some of the best tacos I’ve EVER eaten in my life. 🌮🔥 We ordered the trio taco combo and every single bite was absolute perfection. The birria taco? OH. MY. GOODNESS. 🤯 Absolutely phenomenal: rich, savory, crispy, juicy, authentic, and clearly made with love. 10/10 doesn’t even do it justice. Also tried the Al Pastor steak taco and the chicken anchiote, both were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. 😋 The service? ✨ Wonderful. Friendly, fast, and welcoming. If I didn’t live on the opposite side of the state, I’d be here every week without question. If you’re anywhere even remotely nearby, this is an absolute MUST. RUN, don’t walk! 💃🔥🌮❤️
I recently tried Talking Tacos and wow I’m still thinking about it. I ordered the birria tacos, and they were absolutely phenomenal. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, the tortillas were crispy yet soft Pure perfection. Every bite was full of flavor and so satisfying definitely one of the best birria tacos I’ve had in a long time. To top it all off, I got their pink lemonade, and it was a 10/10. I definitely recommend it. Super refreshing, perfectly sweet, and the kind of drink that hits just right alongside a good meal. The staff was friendly, the food came out hot and fast, and the whole atmosphere had such a fun, vibrant energy. You can tell everything is made fresh and with care. Whether you’re stopping by for lunch or grabbing dinner with friends, this place is 100% worth it. Talking Tacos has officially earned a spot on my favorites list I’ll definitely be back!
Heard about this place from my brother and husband and was finally able to stop by. The food was really good and quick to come to the table. Their horchata was thick and sweet, almost tasting like milk soaked in Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. The French fries and churros were yummy as well. I got the birria tomato soup ramen which was definitely an interesting combo. If you do this dish, make sure to squeeze the lime onto it....it levels up the flavor. The kids chicken tenders and tacos were a hit with the kids too. Would definitely recommend!
We are passing through on vacation and we always eat local or somewhere we haven’t eaten before. I was skeptical when we first came in and I was handed an ipad to order. Although it was nice to take my time and read over the menu and options. I was pleased to see a vegan/vegetarian option and that was so flavorful. Large portions. Taki queso and chips was out of this world, it is a must. I had the mystery lemonade and it also didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend.
Had the most wonderful experience. I got the taco trio, and that southwest chicken was to die for. My husband got the carne burrito and that thing was 2 meals for a blue collar man. Everyone was so sweet, and helpful, will come back!!! 10/10 from someone who has traveled all over Mexico.
This is an amazing spot! Tried the Birria, carne asada, and Al pastor Tacos - all 10/10. As a sweet treat we had the cookies and cream churros, which we thought we were going to have to take home but….they didn’t even make it in the to-go box!! Excellent!! We will be back, guaranteed 👍🏽
So good I was actually surprised. You go in and order from a computer you pay for it and you seat yourself. Your food comes out super quick! The lady that greeted us was very friendly and nice. I wish I would’ve got her name. The atmosphere is pretty sweet. I loved how they had it painted. It was so cool to look at. Portion sizes were on point. Plenty of food.
Incredible food… but be ready to order yourself. Let me start with this: the food at Talkin’ Tacos Town Center is absolutely fantastic. The flavors are bold, fresh, and crave-worthy. You can tell there’s real talent in that kitchen. Despite the frustrations I experienced, the food alone is good enough that I will be back. Now for the part that caught me off guard. As a first-time guest, you’re expected to place your entire order through a tablet kiosk. There’s no greeting, no explanation, you just sit down and figure it out yourself. For someone with allergies (I have nightshade allergies), this made ordering stressful. I couldn’t clearly figure out how to modify meals or communicate dietary restrictions through the system, which is nerve-wracking when you’re trying to eat safely. After navigating the kiosk and placing our own order, the tip screen pops up. Tip… for what? There was no table service, no one took my order, no one checked on me, no “how is everything?” The food was simply dropped at the table. I even had cash ready in case someone provided service, but there wasn’t any interaction beyond delivery. That said, the food really is that good. Fresh, flavorful, and worth the visit. I just wish the hospitality matched the quality of the kitchen. A quick explanation for first-timers or a check-in from staff would go a long way, especially for guests with allergies. I’ll absolutely return for the tacos. I just hope next time the experience feels a little more welcoming and less like I’m ordering at an airport kiosk.
Wow don't know where to start. I've had an amazing experience every time i come here. Their food is off the charts. I recommend everyone try this place once, you'll for sure become addicted. The style is so cool, food & drinks are delicious & the staff are all so nice. You can sit inside where everything is neon & so artsy & cool or you can sit outside patio style. I've done both & loved them both. They play great music. This place is a whole vibe, I'm here for it. LESS TALKIN' MORE TACO!
Helloooooo first timer here from ATL and my brother told me about this spot! My best friend and I HAD to come in and test it out and they did NOT disappoint! The tacos I had were very filling and FIRE! My Besti looooved her burrito and the chips are very good. The atmosphere is amazing (currently still here)! Elote corn BUSS I mean everything we ordered SLAPPED! Money well spent I’m glad I don’t live here because they would be tired of me and I would be 450lbs mkay lol free refills is a nice touch all in all I give it 1000/100 stars HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👀🫶🏾💕☺️
The food was so fresh and very delicious. I love the atmosphere with the black lights too. We also got right in without a wait. The only thing negative that I have to say is that you order through a kiosk or a tablet at your table and I don’t think that is very personable. Everything else was great! We all enjoyed our meals.
I have been here several times and each time has been wonderful . Their food burst with flavor I’ve tried both the loaded and street corn nachos both are a 10/10 .the steak is very tender .. Literally everything is to die for you have to try whenever your here in Jax they are located in the saint John’s town center !! $$ 30-50$ per person design how much you want to try
The nachos? 10/10. Perfectly loaded, every bite was a flavor explosion. The tacos? Flawless. Fresh, bold, and cooked to perfection. But let’s talk about the drinks—next-level. Creative, delicious, and strong in all the right ways. And the atmosphere? Total Instagram gold. Every corner is vibey and picture-perfect, from the lighting to the decor. Whether you’re going for a chill night out or to flex on your followers, this place delivers. Already planning my next trip back. Talking Taco is a must.
Highly recommend!!! My husband and I went over the weekend and the food AND the drinks were outstanding!!! Y'all should definitely bring one of these locations to South Georgia (Valdosta). We have great Mexican restaurants here, but this is not your typical "Mexican restaurant." We will DEFINITELY return!
This was our first time at Talkin Tacos and We got the carne asada, fish, shrimp tacos, and Birria ramen and everything was absolutely delicious. Service was great and staff was very friendly and welcoming. Lorrane provided great service and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back
I had an awesome experience at Talkin’ Tacos in Jacksonville! The food was incredibly flavorful and fresh … you can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was impressively quick. Everything came out hot and perfectly made. Plus, the prices were super reasonable for the quality and portions. Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re looking for delicious food, nice people, and fast, affordable service. Highly recommend! 🌮🔥
I was at talkin tacos on Thursday night and I will definitely come back. The food was excellent and the new manager Rose came by and introduced herself, made sure everything was great ( and it was!) we watched her do this with several tables. She is very personable. The atmosphere in this restaurant it was very nice and this is going to become our new hangout spot for my husband and I. Thank you! Sharron R

I Enjoyed my Birria Grilled cheese with fries and tomato soup. Everything was delicious and the staff is phenomenal and attentive. Side note. Open the sandwich put some Habanero Sauce and squeeze a lime. Thank me later😉
Food was awesome. Quick service!! Prices are decent for portion sizes. Loved the atmosphere. Def a 10 out of 10. Try their loaded fries. Just spectacular!!!

First off wow! The quality of the food and the service was great. I ordered chips and guac, bang bang shrimp tacos and a blue strawberry lemonade. Guac was so fresh, best shrimp tacos ive ever had and the lemonade was so refreshing not overly sweet or sour. I was checked on multiple times by the staff and even met the manager who was full partaking in the running of the restaurant, wiping tables and making sure everyone was taken care of. Will definitely be back!

Talkin' Tacos – Cool Vibe, Tasty Food, a Bit Pricey 🌮💡 Stopped by Talkin' Tacos at the Towncenter — the black light aesthetic and colorful vibe definitely make it a fun spot to check out, especially if you’re into neon and Instagram-worthy setups. The food was good, no complaints on flavor, but prices felt a little on the high side for what you get. Still, it’s worth a visit for the experience and something different. Cool place to try once, especially if you're looking for a late-night bite with a fun atmosphere. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆
Great food with a but… When you enter the restaurant you are presented with an iPad where you get to sit down and DoorDash yourself your food. If you’ve never been before you’ll want to decide what you want ahead of time so it doesn’t take 15 minutes to order while navigating an iPad that keeps threatening to time out on you. Once the food came it was really good though.
The food was really really good! But. With the high price of everything, it seems like you're paying for the atmosphere more than the food itself. I had also ordered pumpkin spice churros, and it was bland on its own, but the toppings is what made it better. So just saying, if you're craving Mexican food, you could anywhere else and have a much better deal while keeping the flavor. But for nice pictures and presentation, come here.
Like others, I hate to leave non-stellar reviews, but that is the main purpose of leaving reviews, right? It's wonderful that this place is open late. Lots of people coming and going. Food is made fresh to order. The music is a little loud and unpleasant. The floors are a little dirty. Overall, it feels very chaotic, busy and messy. You order at a kiosk and they call your name and bring it to your table when ready (for both eat-in and to-go orders). My tacos fell apart the second I picked them up to eat them. You would think such a popular taco place would know that they need to double up their tacos! Not my first choice but satisfying enough, and the vegan tacos were tasty. They ask you to leave a tip at the kiosk when you pay for your food before you receive any kind of service - seems backwards and presumptive. It worked for one meal but DEFINITELY would not return.
Fun taco experience. We had a trio taco, a birria stack, and some chips and guac. All were tasty - and we left full. The servers noted that we were first timers and they were VERY HELPFUL from greeting through order through food service and through garnering a to go box! A definite two thumbs up. P.S. the day of the dead decoration really sparked under the neon blacklights!

Stopped here for dinner last night and it was fine. We ordered the Mahi and shrimp burritos and two Jarrito’s and it came with tortilla chips but no salsa. The burritos were big and a decent price, but underwhelming. The food needed some kind of seasoning; you could really only taste the refried beans and breading on the mahi. They had a couple hot sauces at the table that helped though. The atmosphere is hip and everything is neon which is cool, and the service was pretty good! I’m sure their other dishes have seasoning, but sadly the ones we ordered didn’t. Overall, slightly disappointing considering we keep hearing great things. We might go back.
I got the sunrise punch, southwest chicken tacos, and sweet plantains. The tacos were good but lukewarm at best and the plantains were cold but again still good. It felt as though I was eating pretty leftovers because the presentation was great. Everyone working was really nice and the atmosphere was cool. I was just a little disappointed the food was not hot for the price. This was my first time trying this spot and I definitely want to give it a second chance.
Visited the Jacksonville branch for the first time, and I must say that it didn't live up to the hype. I had the trio tacos. The shrimp was okay, the Mahi was dry, but the Caribbean was really good. The street corn nachos subpar and came out super fast. I have eaten at the Miami Talkin Tacos and it was delicious, and significantly better. This didn't hit.
The inside has a cool vibe. Love the artwork. The food on the other hand, it’s super greasy, salty & not so good. The horchata also didn’t taste quality. The churros were not quality either, most def had better. Pricy for its quality. wouldn’t return.
The concept is neat and the staff was great. My issue is the lack of seasoning on everything. The chicken was very bland. It’s basically a pulled apart rotisserie chicken. No seasoning at all. The blue lemonade was great. Again I want to point out that the service was excellent. I hope the food catches up before the talent leaves.

This is actually my first time ever leaving a review, and I truly didn’t want it to be a negative one. Unfortunately, our experience at Talking Tacos in the heart of the Town Center wasn’t a great one. When you walk in, the setup is a bit confusing if you’ve never been there before. There are ordering screens, but no clear direction on what to do first. It’s very loud and busy, and they call out your name when your order is ready — which adds to the chaos. People are constantly coming in and out, and others are standing around trying to place their orders on the screens. When the food is brought out, staff have to weave through everyone waiting, which makes the whole experience feel crowded and unorganized. As for the food, it was unfortunately very disappointing. Everything tasted extremely greasy — so much oil that you could barely taste the actual flavors. The chicken, in particular, was not good at all. The overpowering oil made it hard to enjoy the meal. Chips some stale… We were really hungry and excited to try it since we were already at Town Center and thought it would be a fun place to check out. Sadly, it did not meet our expectations.
I don't usually like to leave bad reviews but I don't want others to have to experience what I went through. First when you walk in your greeted by someone telling you that you put your order in at the Kiosk. Personally I think the tip that I left should have gone to the Kiosk because it did a better job. The best thing I ordered was the watermelon jarrito just for reference because everything else was honestly insulting to eat due to the lack of flavoring. The house hot sauce wasn't even good so there wasn't a way to even make my burrito taste better. The chips are the easiest part and they were still, inconsistent with some being fresh and some being stale but none even had salt. For how much money you are spending at this over hyped restaurant you would think at least the atmosphere would be nice but Im sitting here listening to reggae while I'm eating Mexican food. I truly wish I could get my money, time and most important my appetite back, but I wouldn't even go back there if they paid me to eat there.
I atmosphere was wonderful it is good for content and that’s about it in my opinion the food did not come out as described it appeared nice but tasted a different way the mango drink strawberry looking drink that was a expensive in my opinion tasted horrible it was a bland taste not even a spicy taste which kind of scared so we switched drinks to a blue drink which was fine it just tasted like expensive under sugared blue water and the food came out cold. I wanted a refund but I just didn’t wanna bother with it the birria was fine the shrimp and mahi tacos it’s a no. To me this place is nice for looks but to be pricey atleast the food should be good. I am very disappointed I always wanted to come here
The worst Mexican food I’ve ever had, hands down. I ordered chips with pico de gallo absolutely horrible. The “pico” was literally just chopped onions and tomatoes tossed with cilantro. No seasoning, no flavor, nothing. Anyone can do that at home in 2 minutes. The appetizers were peanut-sized. I’m not exaggerating. Completely laughable portions. The quesadilla? Had a random, different piece of meat in it, which is just unacceptable. Overall, a terrible experience. No flavor, no taste, just bland, lazy food riding on hype. I genuinely don’t understand how this place has a 4.8 rating. either people have no taste buds or the reviews are fake. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money or time.

I am very disappointed I always wanted to come here
