One of my all time fave Italian places. Calzone and Stromboli are amazing. They are huge, big enough to share or for lunch they next day. Service is always great. Their red sauce is so tasty. There is a separate bar area and outdoor seating. There are a couple of locations, I’ve only been to the Beach location though. The booth seating could use a glow-up but it would never stop me from dining here.
Came in an hour before close with my boyfriend and was shocked by the customer service. Never have tried this place nor heard of it, and we’re very happy we tried it! Our server was sweet and food was good. Will be one of our typical go-to dinner date spots!
From the moment we stepped into Milano's, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and warmth, with soft lighting, tasteful decor, and a quiet buzz of conversation that sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. The service was impeccable—professional yet personable. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offered excellent wine pairings, and anticipated our needs without ever being intrusive. Now, the food—absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was a work of art, both visually and in flavor. Each plate told a story of creativity and craftsmanship, clearly made with top-tier ingredients and a deep passion for cuisine. Highly recommend. A true gem. We'll be back.
Had a terrific meal here last night, Wednesday July 24,2024. Our server was Johnnie and he had a great sense of humor, was friendly and super helpful. To start, we ordered the cheesy garlic bread. I’ve never tasted a better bread. The marinara sauce for dipping was tasty. My husband who’s not a big bread eater, could not get enough. Husband had the special which was Grouper Piccata. The fish was perfectly cooked and delicious the sauce was fantastic and pasta was perfect. I had the Shrimp Pomodoro. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The sauce was “oh so” good and again, the pasta was perfect. For dessert we had the Tiramisu and this was a poor choice. It was frozen inside and the chocolate tasted like it was Hersheys. It was very bland. We told our server and he brought us the Lemoncello dessert. We brought us back to the hotel with us and haven’t tried it yet. Looking forward to it! There was no waiting to be seated and the restaurant was family friendly. The bar was full at 6:30 when arrived, but empty by 8:00when we departed. Bill came to $100 with tax. Each of us had two drinks. I highly recommend this place and that yummy Cheesy Garlic Bread!!
Wow!! Amazing food and great, prompt service. I had the garlic bread, stromboli, and zeppolis for desert, topped off with a nice Moscato wine. So much food and so delicious ! I can honestly say it was the best stromboli I ever had. And great red sauce. Definitely highly recommend and I'll be eating here every chance I get!!
Phenomenal. I've gone to another Italian restaurant for over 25 years, but since working on a different side of town, my husband and I decided to try Milano's. We are converts. Their sauce is drinkable. It's perfect. I didn't need to add anything to it to make it palatable. Their calzone is the absolute best that I've ever had, and my husband adored the lasagna. We also tried the garlic cheese bread, and it too was incredible. The Italian dressing for the salad was perfect. I'm so impressed and yet a little sad that we won't be going to our old favorite. We've known them for years. The prices at Milano's are even more affordable. This place is a must try. I promise you won't be able to find fault with it. We truly wanted to try everything on the menu tonight. ***Update - We went to Milano's again tonight. From the customer service to cheese garlic bread to Deluxe Calzone and sauce, everything was still perfect. Not one complaint. That Calzone was delicious. A must try restaurant. I can’t believe Jacksonville has a restaurant of this caliber at these prices. Thank you, Milano's.
This was our first time here, and it did not disappoint. The garlic bread they bring out...amazing! Just the right amount of crispy, soft, and flavorful. The manicotti was very good, not made with crepes, but still delicious. Chicken parmesan was very good too and good size servings. Forgot to take the pictures before we started to eat. 🙂
I was there Sunday evening for dinner with my family, really nice place, Johnny was the waiter who served us, really personable and made sure to explain the menu and to recommend what was the best dish. We ordered a BlT pizza and chicken Alfredo pasta, both were great. Overall a great dinner, would recommend to everyone who would like to try some good Italian dishes.

First off, Delicious Food! Definitely worth the long drive from San Marco that I made in order to check them out. The Meatballs were moist and seasoned perfectly. My Garlic Knot was warm and soft and my enormous serving of Baked Ziti was cheesy and delicious! I got to meet the Owner Al and some of his family that YES also in the restaurant as is should be! 😄 I'll definitely make the trip back out!
Definitely some great Italian food! They know what they are doing that’s for sure! Great selection of Entrees and starters. Homemade pizza in a nice brick oven. Also has a full bar if you just want to sit with a couple buddies! Definitely a nice family place!
We’ve been here multiple times. Food is so fresh and delicious. Home made. We always order wine. Our server last night was Zefa, she was excellent, very courteous, kind and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, there was an unethical employee (a male we’ve seen before) literally arguing with her in the middle of the room. I hope the owners appreciate Zefa as much as she deserves it.
I’ve come to Milanos on Kernan in Jacksonville Florida for several years and they have the best pizza in Jax hands down. I’ve tried numerous pizza shops but Milanos is where it’s at! Love the atmosphere the friendliness of the owner Al and his brother Fani are the most hospitable owners I’ve ever met! Always love coming in and having the warm welcome from them the staff and long time server Johnny! If you haven’t been here I suggest you give them a try you won’t be disappointed! Oh and they don’t use paper plates like the rest of the shops do in town! They also have daily specials that are the real deal the chicken parmigiana on tuesdays is absolutely to die for! If you want a sweet treat the have a great big slice of chocolate cake that sure to bring out your sweet tooth!
I absolutely love Milanos. All the food is fresh authentic and delicious. Nobody makes a better calzone or meatballs or pizza or eggplant or seafood. The pasta and sauces are so good. All is fresh homemade and delicious. The bread is unbelievably good. The people are very welcoming and attentive. It’s very clean and a nice atmosphere. I love Milanos.
Went in a little bit early for lunch with our grandson and was treated very well, grandson loved the attention. I'm sorry that I didn't get the name of our host, but he was great! Food was so much better than I would have thought. Will definitely return when we visit Jacksonville again.
Johnny is the best! Food is always delicious and the atmosphere is quiet and comfortable! We live almost an hour from the restaurant and will continue to make the drive because it’s well worth it! Taking friends from NC there tonight! ♥️
The food is incredible including the chocolate layer cake which was phenomenal, especially so on my birthday. Yep, I recommend this place for a birthday too! Johnny, server, has been there for a very long time and the place is spotless. You pass Milano's up, you've made a very big mistake!

I’ve loved this place for many years, but the meals are average. I loved the salad. The calamari was good. The chicken parmigiana was average and I don’t like to leave reviews like this. The ceiling was filthy, along with the ceiling fans, and decor had dust all over. I wish it was a better experience.

Although our food was good we waited an extremely long time for our food last night. It was apparent that there were several regulars that came in after us who were seated and served well before we received our food. What appeared to be the owner was stopping by those table caring for those people. Our waitress was not good at keeping us updated on the wait. Finally the young man at the door noticed we had been sitting there for ever and cleared out table of our dirty dishes from the appetizers we ate long before. The wait was so long we had to take our grandsons outside as they were growing very impatient and were hungry.
It's family-friendly and a great place to eat out with your kids. The service was excellent. However, the pizza was just OK. I've had better back in Tampa. Their garlic cheesy bread is Cuban bread with cheese on it, but it was good.

Yesterday 7-30-23 there was 2 Incidents!! A lady said the F Word since she got ripped off from a delivery order, then a homeless guy came in yes he called the waitress the N word. I would of been mad too, but the waiter went off cussing and telling the man if he came back in he had a knife and would slit his throat. This was our 2nd visit there, it was our children's 1st visit. It just left a bad taste in our mouths... We wanted to get up and leave before we got our meal, we didn't though!!! Our children wanted to leave too We were celebrating our grandsons 15th birthday.. It was just ashamed!! The waiter could of handled it much better. Yes he apologized, then my husband tried talking to him about the situation and the waiter started getting snippy with him. So we're done don't want to return to this location!!!

I ordered a meatball sub. Also there Seafood soup thru Uber eats. The bread on sub was wet and mush when I got it. 4 meatballs small. Asked for black olives and onions plus couple of packs red pepper flakes got none of those. $15 sandwich worst ever. The soup container half full and it was sour. Plus had 2 small shrimp in it. Whole experience nasty. I paid total $35 went without dinner.

Extremely disappointing experience- not family friendly. I had a very upsetting experience at Milanos pizza off of Beach and Kernan today that I feel compelled to share. I was there with my daughter, and a friend with his daughter. He had ordered ahead of me and had gotten his food. I ordered and we sat at a table as we waited my order. As my friend was eating his food, my daughter and his started playing with the silverware at the table and eating the grated cheese. Since we were in fact eating at the table I did not see an issue with this. About ten minutes into waiting for my food to arrive a man approached our table who I found out later was the owner and spoke directly to the children in a harsh and aggressive tone, Barking at them to stop playing with the silverware and stop eating the cheese. I immediately stepped in and firmly told him that if he had an issue he should speak to me and not address the children that way. Rather than de-escalate, he continued to argue with me, remaining rude and overbearing through the exchange. Definitely not a welcoming environment! This type of behavior towards paying costumers is completely unacceptable. Regardless of any concerns he may have. There is no excuse for speaking to someone else's children in that manner or for being confrontational with the parent. It really left a bad impression and ruined what would have been a simple outing. If you have kids, I strongly recommend thinking twice before bringing them there. Based on my experience Milanos has very little patience or understanding when it comes to families. Terrible service, subpar food and to expensive for the quality.
There seems to be an attitude with the men workers there. I’ve been here before where the female workers were pleasant. Today, I went there and picked up my order. The person who bagged it was annoyed at me for opening up the food to inspect it before I left. “What are looking for?” is what he kept asking me and started a little argument. The person who checked me out didn’t greet me and had a stoic manner. I shouldn’t tipped at all.
I wanted to let you know that the dough was mushy at best, and the quality just wasn’t what we expected. We paid almost $60+ for two pizzas, and after trying two slices each, we couldn’t eat any more. We’re actually throwing the rest out, which is something we never do, I normally we’d eat or freeze leftovers.
