If you love spices and great tasting foods and awesome service, then you have to try this place. We had a party of 8 with food and drinks and everything was fabulous. Food was delicious and came out all at the same time even with different dishes being served. The owner was the only one working today and the drinks and food all came out perfectly. Definitely recommend to all. The pictures are chicken and waffles, tomahawk steak with 2 sides and pork wings on potatoes. Others had their brisket tacos and cauliflower tacos.
Kevin was absolutely amazing!!! It was my first time there from S.C and he was definitely the highlight of my trip. His drinks were amazing, his personality is top tier and his service was excellent!! We had such a great time we decided to come back the next day for Brunch. There we met Shara! Shara is such a vibe! She made brunch so enjoyable. The food was so good. Everything we had was delicious! I will definitely be visiting again on my next trip to Jacksonville!
I had just finished getting my nails done next door and noticed this restaurant. As I was looking at the menu on the front door; I was enticed in by Richard. Judging by his professionalism and take ownership attitude; I am assuming it’s his restaurant. The atmosphere and menu is a Latin/Caribbean fusion. I ordered the Wagyu Burger cooked medium-rare. It was cooked perfectly and came with fries. The fries had a unique seasoning and appeared to be homemade. Richard told me that they had only been open a few days and that they also have a Sunday Brunch. I was very pleased and will make an effort to return.
Nice place. Finally made it in. We went for our 20th anniversary. It was quiet on a Wednesday evening. Facebook shows a different address than Google so we ended up at the St John's location, which could have cause many people to just go somewhere else. We came for Pink Salt so Pink Salt we found off University. Food was good but all of it was very, very spicy!
My fiancé and I had a regular date night. Had a issue finding them at first because the location changed. After we found the right location it was smooth sailing. Food was awesome I had lamb chops and they where amazing.
First time coming and will definitely be coming back! The food was amazing as well as the service. We were the first to arrive as we came for an early dinner and all of the servers were very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend the chicken wings, oxtail Mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts! Pictured is the Australian book Chou sea bass we ordered. So good!
Was there for a drag brunch, & had an awesome time. My friend had the omlette and a charcuterie board. She gave it high reviews. I really enjoyed the jerk chicken.

The place is so underrated. It was a vibe from start to finish. Food was bomb. Drinks were strong. Mimosa buckets and very good music! Our server Jojo was beyond great! He poured our glasses of champagne and treated us so well. I'll definitely be back.
I literally couldn’t leave the restaurant without leaving a review. The atmosphere, music, food, drinks, all a 10/10. The cherry on top was excellent service. Jojo was our server. He was attentive, friendly, & made great menu recommendations. Thank you all for making my sisters birthday celebration special!
Where do I start?? I was there for a initimate Wedding & reception. It was the PERFECT VENUE for the occasion. The atmosphere is beautifully decorated. The staff was Amazing. The Owner Richard was Very kind and offered exceptional service. THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING! Every dish left a lasting impression on your taste buds. Stop by for dinner . If your looking to Host a dinner or special occasion, Pink Salt is your spot!
I’m a fan of Chef Richard & Pink Salt! First time at the new location Vevetas Rum Bar & Tapas but not my last! The food was very delicious! I ordered the 6oz Jerk Half Cornish Hen & Dark Rum Brussels Sprout with a side of the Oxtail Mac & Cheese. EVERYTHING was delicious topped off with a Passion fruit Margarita! Whew chile when I tell you it’s good it’s really good! Chef Richard does it all!! From the kitchen to the Bar! Highly recommend! I’m thinking of having my Birthday dinner here in a few weeks🎉🎉
Absolutely amazing food and very aesthetic atmosphere. The taste is incredible and makes you want to savor every bite, and the hookah and middle eastern decor makes you want to hang around with your good friends and enjoy the experience. Will go again!
Honestly, I wasn't in the best mood. Most likely hangry... But Chef Richard saw that and did his best to brighten my day once he saw my expression. He's such a kind and genuine person! The food was a plus! The oxtail mac and cheese was delicious! I'll be supporting his business again in the future. Thank you!

I had the chicken curry and the ox tail Mac and it was sooooo delicious I couldn’t stop talking about it all weekend lol. The service is questionable however, no one seemed to communicate with each other and we were literally being help by 3 different servers, all who weren’t very engaging. It wasn’t bad service, but it definitely wasn’t what I expected it to be. Nevertheless, I’d still be going back! P.S. it was actually a good portion as well. The bowl was pretty deep.

We got to the restaurant right around 4 PM and we were the only ones in there the place look clean and the wait staff was very courteous. We ordered the brisket, mac & cheese 5 out of 10 jerk shrimp, tostadas 8 out of 10 and the Jerk chicken dumplings 7 out of 10 For our entrée, my wife ordered the whole fried snapper @ $55 9 out of 10 fish 3 out of 10 for the sides Which comes with three sides of which they didn’t have sweet plantains, and the rice came out, smelling like it was cooked in a burnt pot. The plus side, my wife said the cabbage was very tasty and the fish was cleaned and cooked correctly. I myself ordered the jerk chicken with the asparagus. The jerk chicken came out looking burnt and was very dry and not too spicy Yes, even the dark meat was dry. 3 out of 10 The asparagus was very al dente the bottom of the asparagus was so tough, it was inedible.1 out of 10 The other thing I do not like is that they have an 18% gratuity on all checks and do not disclose that when you come in, they have it hidden in the back of the menu. Most of the items that people would want coming to a Caribbean/Jamaican restaurant are all market price and the market prices start at $45. I also looked for a dessert menu, which they informed us that they do not carry desserts (why would you not carry one of the biggest markups in a restaurant) the drinks were well poured we had the red sangria and the old fashion.

Vevetas Tapas by Pink Salt. By Pink Salt not Pink Salt. Ultimately this place has the potential to be a Great restaurant but if you have Pink Salt in mind when visiting this restaurant don’t be mistaken.I think the name overshadows its potential if you have dined at Pink Salt San Marco. Vevetas Tapas Food just missed the target while the flavors were suttle, light just shy of bland and shy of flavorful. I had a medium well cooked Tomahawk steak, actual cook on it was more like a medium as the meat was a hot red and chewy off bat and even chewier as the steak cooled. Not all the way flavorless the steak had lightly dusted season, you definitely taste something there, just not enough. I also had the oxtail mac & cheese the Oxtail were cooked nice although the mac was on the dryer side lacking cheese or something to moistened the consistency of the pasta. Vegetables were cooked well the under seasoned juice from the steak almost made for an above average side. Service was great given there was only 1 to service a table of 14, an older crowd at that. He did a great job of explaining the menu best he could given his 2nd day. Most of the guest were under the impression that they were at the Original Pink Salt having certain dishes in mind only served at Pink Salt San Marco so imagine how Irate they were realizing what they wanted was not on the menu. He held his composer and got the job done. Ultimately i think the dishes are there and the restaurant has potential I think the name of the restaurant gives you a preconceived notion given the Pink Salt name. The comparison is there even before you start eating. Although the kitchen may have been caught off guard by the older demanding crowd the made attempt was well done.

Went for Valentine's day and was greatly disappointed. I wanted a good experience and wanted to see this as a success, but could not. The waitress seemed brand new, because she could not tell us much without going and finding out. I went to the restroom and noted one was out of order and the other had no sign. I went in and noted it was a male restroom, but had no lock (multi-use restroom). So, if a woman had been already in there, I could have walked right in. Same, with me being in there. When I brought it to the waitresses attention she me tioned there was another single-occupent restroom. We ordered the sheimp tacos, 3 for $13 and they were flavorful. Probably my best experience. There was nothing that noted regular drinks; tea, lemonade....., so we had no clue until we asked. We got tap water in a botle with small glasses and asked for straws, but was told they did not have any. (Not fond of drinking out of glasses, after the restroom experience). The waitress did, to her own surprise, find some. We asked about the drinks and were told they had tea, so I odered that, at $7. The waitress returned to say they only had lemonade, which was proably a syrup used for drinks with water added. It was very strong and tasted carbonated. It was drinkable after adding water. But, I disovered, too late, I was charged for the tea $7 and $4 for the lemonade. My wife got the jerk chicken $23 which was ok, but with the given "side of Mixed Vegetables ", though the menu just says "with 1 side". Well the "mixed Vegetables " is a bowl of chopped pepp

This was a horrible experience. Came to the Brunch at night event at Pink Salt expecting to have a great time. However, it was less than pleasant. Waitress mentioned drinks were $7 but when I received my Sangria it taste like boxed wine and I was charged $7.50 and not $7. At the onset of ordering, I was told they didn't have any waffles, was looking forward to trying it. Next ordered fish (whiting) and cheesy grits. To my dismay they didn't have any fish but offered to replace with salmon. The food came out and I tried the grits, they were overly gritty and extremely bland. Next the salmon was horrible and extra fishy.I expressed my dismay to the waitress and was advised that they don't take food off. So I'm forced to pay for something that I don't like and was not flavorful at all. I've waited all day to eat only to be disappointed. My friend had the french toast was decent but definitely overpriced. The oxtails were plentiful but undercooked along with the extra gritty grits. The manager really should reconsider his tactics. How do you expect to have repeat customers with this type of attitude. I CAUTION EVERYONE who visits this establishment to think twice. This could've been a simple task to allow me to order something else, but I'm leaving here hungry and going to waffle house. A great night ruined. Also take note that they charge a 4.5% credit card fee along with 15% gratuity to ALL orders. Who carries cash nowadays..

We had a group of 17 people, we got there at 5pm. We ordered drinks and they had no bartender so the waitress had to make the drinks. They only had one cook, so it took 2 hours for them to start bringing our food. Some of the food we never got. So we eventually canceled the orders. The service was terrible and they also add 15% to every check, they also add an additional fee if you use a credit card so if you decide to dine here after this review, make sure you have cash. ZERO stars for food, service and atmosphere. The food is not worth the expensive price.
BEWARE. Extremely slow service. It took the waiter 20 minutes to come back and take our order. We sat for about 30-35 minutes for our order to come out. My husbands food came first. Mine took an extra 15 minutes. The portions were incredibly small. I mean it was absolutely ridiculous. $16 for just 2 egg rolls. I also ordered the jerk pasta and it was the portion size for a child off the kids menu. The snapper was $55 and man the portions were all so small!!!! Just terrible service all around. Don’t waste your money!
