Opinions de Restaurante "La Vestida" Jaén
This place is amazing. In my opinion, they have the best mole (specifically the black mole) in all of Los Angeles. Every time I visit, I always try to make a stop to get the wet mole burrito.
Everything tasted so good! We had guacamole, chips, and fresh strawberry juice. Our table's waitress was a very nice young lady. The setting was warm and inviting. I'll definitely return to try more of the menu.
One of best things I ate in LA- I had the tlayuda, which I've been looking for since I was in Oaxaca. This was better than any of the ones I had there. Service was great and very kind. I will definitely be coming back.
Everything was so delicious! We had fresh cucumber and strawberry juice, and guacamole and chips. The girl who waited our table was very sweet. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. I'm definitely coming back to try other dishes.
This was a rough night for this family run business. Before they say us, they warned us that the food may be delayed up to an hour. Seems like they were swamped. I appreciate their honesty and set expectations. The food was excellent though. Mix fajita plate was delicious- especially the shrimp and steak. Black mole was prepared very well, the grilled veggies were amazing.
An amazing Oaxacan restaurant that you probably didn't know you need to get to ASAP. Family owned, amazing food, cute atmosphere. I got the chili relleno, which Oaxacan style is chicken and not cheese. Amazing mix of flavors and just enough kick. My friend got a mole burrito and loved it and had enough food to take home. The mole was a beautiful dark coloring and smelled amazing. And a plus is that they noted my allergies and prepared accordingly.
This place is a true gem! When I worked in the area, I would eat here for lunch all the time. And now I make special trips just for the food. The salmon tacos are so good and the guacamole is always on point. The owners are always so friendly and actually remember their repeat customers. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!
Best Oaxacan/Mexican restaurant in Culver City - dare I say in all of LA! Love the atmosphere and impeccable serious every time. Not to mention the family who runs the place is from Oaxaca and treat you like one of their relations when you dine in. Gracias, Tobi & EK Valley fam
The food here is fantastic, I seriously love everything I’ve tried. And everyone who works here is extremely kind. This spot is a MUST if you’re in the area.
Absolutely delicious home cooking...just like grandma made it. I highly recommend eating here if your in LA looking for authentic Oaxacan food. Would give 10 stars and my left shoe for more. Come give this family owned restaurant a chance.
Really delicious Mole sauce! This place is fantastic, everything from enchiladas to the salmon and shrimp tacos! Their guacamole is really tasty. Nice outdoor patio space that felt very safe.
delicious. authentic. Wonderful service. Great patio and music. Personal favorite place for a wet veggie burrito, but everything there is delicious agrees my carne-loving better half. Honestly, my favorite Mexican food restaurant on the west side for consistent quality food and service. I'm sad the other location had to close during the pandemic
Came here for lunch to get out of the office for a few and had a great time. Sat on the patio, had the friendliest staff, yummy food and they gave us some homemade mescal, I think...? If you're looking for a place to have some great food (I had the salmon that was delicious), a super friendly staff and a couple drinks.. this spot is great, and maybe a little underrated.
I ordered the mixed fajitas plate. Shrimp, chicken and beef with rice and beans and tortillas. It was delicious. But the shrimp was extra special. Great flavor. I went back the next day for lunch and order the fajitas again but ONLY shrimp. It was really good with the cream and guacamole on top and the vegetable medley underneath. I'll be visiting again soon.
This is one of my favorite places in LA 😭 if you want to treat yourself while also feeling cozy, this is the place to go. The dishes are all quality and beautifully made but I will especially highlight their carnitas (any dish that has this), their chile relleno (the best I’ve had) and their mole (the red is my fave but they’re all great). The service is amazing and the owners are great humans. Nothing to complain about here!
So, so good! I was completely taken aback by how delicious the veggie fajitas were. I just ordered them because I didn’t feel like eating anything too heavy. I ate the whole thing and wiped the plate clean with their homemade corn tortillas. Definitely check this place out!
A Hidden Gem in Culver City! This place is a hidden gem in Culver City—hands down the best authentic Mexican food around! I always recommend it to everyone I know, and I fully support this small business. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. The food is always on point—consistently amazing and a solid 10/10 every time. If you're in the area, you’ve got to check it out!
This is one of those hidden gems that you have to try. I've tried almost everything here, but most recently, I had their mixed fajitas. Look at the video, and you'll want to order as well. Since Covid, they now have a nice quant setup outside, perfect for partying. I've seen them have music from time to time. Stop by and tell them Jose sent you.
Family owned/ran. Look, the portions are small. Service was great. Atmosphere; cool. When I said, “This is not enough” she brought more food. They conserve because they dont want to be wasteful. Dad is chef, Daughter is waitress; they donate the left over authentic homemade Mexican food, to the homeless.
Great food & service - portion size for steak fajita seemed low
Best Mexican food in Culver City, probably Los Angeles. Award winning chef. The sauces are incredible. The mole is amazing. The shrimp scampi sauce is out of this world delicious. This is a must visit spot in Los Angeles.
Great authentic dishes. Great fresh quality food. I tried the fajitas rancheras, witch was good. My wife tried the molcagete came out zizzilling on the hot stone. And my daughter had the tlayuda, classic dish. All the options we tried were good .
My friend introduced me to EK Valley a few years ago. Some of the best mole I’ve ever had! Never disappoints.
Had the black mole with chicken leg and thigh. I opted for rice and grilled vegetables. Everything was excellent! They also provided some warm corn tacos, which were perfect for any leftover mole on the plate. I’d absolutely come again and recommend this place to anyone!
Deliciously flavorful oxacan plates , both the classics and new things . Laid back and serene vibes . Great spot 🤩
Absolutely delicious food. We had the black mole enchiladas and tacos. The enchiladas are stuffed so beautifully full of chicken. No filler. Excellent. Shrimp tacos are to die for. It takes a while to get service. The staff seem to mostly stay in the back.
The mole sauces are great! I especially like the red mole as it has a little kick to it, just perfect. If you get enchiladas, you can ask for both sauces and try them side by side. Carnitas is the way to go! Mexican hot chocolate is great too!
We’re so glad we found this place! The cozy decor creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the food was absolutely wonderful. It reminded me of the kind of meals I’d enjoy at my aunt’s house in San Luis Potosí. I had the chicken fajitas and my boyfriend had the barbacoa—both were full of flavor and delicious. I’d love to come back next time we visit LA.
Best mole I've had, and the mole covered burrito was absolutely delicious! The thing that surprised me most was the grilled vegetables though! They were so good, the spices were fantastic and the veggies were grilled to perfection. Highly recommend!
*update Back again and sampled their Chicken Chile Rellenos- 🔥🔥🔥 EK, never disappoints. Tender chicken filling, complex but balanced and delicious sauce, beautiful presentation and breaded to perfection. Will be back! *Update Revisited EK to sample the mole, I ordered the red mole and it was 🔥rich, authentic; reminded me of the mole I experienced in Oaxaca - served with rice, squash and a warm a smile. Will continue to explore their menu. Their salsa is also very good ******** Grabbed a quick bite at this eatery, comfortable outdoor seating with plenty of shade, there was a nice breeze on the day I visited - very pleasant. I ordered 2 tacos, shrimp and fish - I wasn’t a huge fan of the fish taco but the shrimp more than made up for it, realz good. I’ll be back to explore their mole. Great service
Really great mole dishes and nice atmosphere! We were also able to take our dog as they have a nice patio up front! Definitely enjoyed our time here and had some good food!
Some of the best shrimp tacos in LA!! I usually order those and a Clayuda (absolutely delicious also) but they were out so the so the server suggested the Chile relleno and it was fantastic! The sauce is so flavorful and fresh!! I’ll be back for that very soon!
HOLY MOLÉ...literally the BEST molé I have experienced! And it's not 1, not 2, but 3 different types to choose from! I savored the rich, flavorful black mole over over thinly sliced, tender chicken served with freshly grilled veggies and a lovely spring mix salad. As you can see by the pictures, the food is upscale, freshly prepared once ordered and beautifully presented. The inside seating is quaint and brightly decorated. Patio seating is spacious and comfortable. This is NOT a fast food Mexican joint by any stretch of the imagination so be prepared to spend some time relaxing and exploring the vast array of appetizers while waiting for the incredible entrées freshly prepared to your desire!
If you are prepping or wrapping at Keslow camera this is the ideal lunch restaurant for your Camera team. The Mole Mojado Burrito and Green enchiladas are top notch but the Artisanal Mezcal from Oaxaca is what brings us to this incredible spot. I can't recommend the staff, chef's, or management for their hospitality.
Holy mole, this place was great. Cool neighbourhood Mexican with a great family vibe. The food is full of flavour and the perfect amount of spice.

Post Culver City Art Walk moment of, “hmm what do we eat?” then choosing this Oaxacan gem nearby. Amazing mole, amazing food all around. Prices are great for LA, in our opinion. Will be back to try a different mole.
This is the Oaxacan/Mexican restaurant you wish you had in your neighborhood. Low key, quiet, festive, down home and kind, with food you would think someone made it at home for you and wanted you to feel special. You can get a knockout margarita there or bring your own champagne and wine (as I did). The service is outright sweet and gentle. The playlist worth tracking down. It is relax no reservation heaven. I hope I am not ruining it by writing about it.

A wonderfully quaint small restaurant run by a Husband, wife, and cousin. The food was spectacularly seasoned and came sizzling hot within just 10 minutes from ordering. The only part of this meal that took the longest was us deciding what to order from the menu. Edit: I unfortunately had to remove a star from my review due to the most recent experience we had here. Upon ordering our meal 15 minutes ahead, and walking around before sitting down, we proceeded to wait another 20 minutes beyond when we were told our food would be ready. This was understandable that it took a little longer as every table was full. What wasn't understandable or acceptable was the speed of service. We didn't get our water essentially until our meal came out, at the same time as our chips and salsa. We asked for chips as soon as we sat down, and as mentioned above, it didn't come. Instead every other table was serviced at least twice with whatever was asked for as though we were entirely forgotten. We watched drinks brought out to tables before we even received water, and usually water is the one thing you can expect to get right away when sitting down. The most disappointing part of the experience, has been the price hike of the menu. Our first experience we essentially were able to order two meals with just over a $20 bill - wonderful! This most recent time, our bill of the exact same items came out to $57. The price is going up, and service quality frankly feels like it is going down.
The service was really great. The waitress was friendly and prompt. The chips & salsa were good. The food was meh. The Mexican rice was bland, the carnitas was way overly salted, the black beans were not good. The Al pastor was very good though. I would eat that again.

The taste of the food was good but the serving portions are for an infant. If you are feeling hungry this is not the place you want to go to. I've never seen a smallest fajita plate and the rice and beans side plate was a joke, enough for a bird! The price was very high for Mexican food and the size of the plates. Not going back.
Ate outside under an older al fresco dining area built out into the street. A lot of cars flying by, noisy, fumes. We were told there was no wine, but saw other tables with full bottles. BYOB? Food was good, but pricey for the entire experience.

Zero stars!! I am not sure if all the reviews are legit or sponsored. We wanted to try a new place in Culver City. We sat down outside & there was not a single person in sight. I was surprised that nobody was even there and the only human being was a young lady who quickly took our order & seemed inconvenienced. I asked if they had taco tues or margaritas. Her quick reply was "No sorry, we don't do that & we only have one house margarita". My friend was visiting from out of town since we work in television & were at one of the studios down the street. We decided to order a margarita and enchiladas. Our food came out so fast, lukewarm 🤔. I am a local LA patron, born & raised and I know my Mexican food. We came here on a Tuesday around 4pm. I DO NOT recommend this place, the food nor the atmosphere unless you are desperate for a quick meal. Our waters were never refilled either. If you are desperate for a quick meal, El Polo Locco may have better food than this place & you can actually see them grilling. If you're new to LA, please go to El Coyote in Hollywood. Avoid this place unless you want to spend $$$ on microwaved meals.
Do not recommend. My friend & I went to try new place in our neighborhood in Culver City. Food was terrible lukewarm microwaved cold plate..rice & beans tastes like it was from a can. Price was 22$ for an enchilada. 👀Overall the server was unfriendly and seemed annoyed by being there. I know tonssssss of places in LA that have phenomenal food and service! Then she says they “don’t have a drink menu” they only sell one house margarita which was 15$ and tasted like pre-mix. I’ll pay 100$ for a cocktail IF it’s good and unfortunately this tasted like cheap tequila and premade drink mix. Not even fresh lime juice for a margarita? There are soooooo many great places in LA for Mexican food or Oaxanacan food. This place misses the mark in food taste, quality and service.
