Ok so my boyfriend and I came here because I wanted a local low key sushi place and this popped up on Yelp. First- staff is super friendly! You can tell they care about the customer experience. We ordered salmon skin and Philadelphia sushi rolls, seaweed salad and chicken gyoza: it was delicious! We both liked it a lot- super fresh and tasty. Clearly not refrigerated and made to order. The highlight though imho was the daily house made miso soup. Definitely a place to come back to!

Love the freshness of the poke and flavors were on point. Got the regular size bowl with double crab and salmon. Love that you can have whatever toppings (avo extra) and it comes with the price you pay. Hit the spot for sure flavor wise. They were playing 90s R&B and hip hop tunes too. Overall great atmosphere and service. Definitely would come back if I'm in the area.

Nishi is my favorite poke place in the area. I can eat a regular bowl for two meals. The Hawaiian salmon is more like authentic poke than other places. I can get unlimited toppings and the seafood is higher quality than others so definitely worth it! Personally, I would rather pay a little bit more for their quality and toppings than save $3-4 and worry about the freshness of the fish. The manager is also super kind and generous with the servings. The team provides good service. The place is clean with limited seating but a great alternative than eating in your car 😂

This is a Korean owned poke restaurant! We came here during work and the food was super tasty and filling. I recommend the premium bowl! Also the owner's service was 10/10. Definitely recommend.

I can get unlimited toppings and the seafood is higher quality than others so definitely worth it! Personally, I would rather pay a little bit more for their quality and toppings than save $3-4 and worry about the freshness of the fish. The manager is also super kind and generous with the servings. The team provides good service. The place is clean with limited seating but a great alternative than eating in your car 😂

Picked up lunch for myself and another person. The service was great, the owner told me about each item in detail and it all looked amazing. It was super fresh and yummy! Only thing I would say is that I wish the protein portions were a bit larger. The miso soup was a great touch and super fresh. I’ll definitely be back!

I would’ve given this place 5 stars because I wasn’t disappointed with the Poke , However the customer service by Todd was very unpleasant. I felt rushed and the demeanor of the service wasn’t friendly, I’d say it was pretty passive aggressive. I will be back at this spot again because of the excellent Poke, However if the same treatment is what I encounter i will not come back.

June 2021: Today, I hesitatingly placed a large order with Nishi on La Cienega today, despite a previous experience with them. Steve recognized my name/order and called me to verify if they should add crabmeat to all the bowls. Lesson: just check off crabmeat even if it's in the description! Steve did a great job with service recovery. I have renewed faith that they care about their customer. Thank you, Steve and staff, for a perfectly delivered order today! March 2021: Ordered 7 meals, include 2 KOA Bowls (Large. Hawaiian salmon, Hawaiian tuna, spicy tuna, albacore tuna, crabmeat, sesame oil, danger hot sauce and spicy ponzu sauce). It was missing the crabmeat. I called & spoke to PEDRO to let them know. He was insistent that you have to choose it as a topping, whereas the KOA comes w/it. We've ordered from Nishi at 4263 Overland over 20xs in the past 6 months! I didn't want a refund or anything, just calling to inform them because we would like to order again. PEDRO, LAUGHED AND CONTINUED TO INSIST THAT IT'S A TOPPING....and then said, "Go order from another place!" and HUNG UP! HE WAS VERY RUDE!! I've never experienced this from the other Nishi staff.

Small and not a lot of options, small servings, and kind of pricy. small restaurant, it does have seating inside, they were steady with people and pick up orders as well. I don’t think I’ll be back, but it’s the only poke place in the area

Plus, the size of the scoops they give you for the protein is insulting for $19. Poke bowl was fresh and tasty with a nice selection of options. However, not worth the disrespectful attitude of staff and stingy amount of fish.

For the $25 you pay, you’re better off going somewhere else and they will probably have better seating.*like I told you I’ve been a customer several times and last time you were rude and to my niece at that. Literally the reason I stopped eating here*
