After a long day of hiking and caving at Enchanted Rock we needed good food and beer, a friend who’s been to enchanted rock many times suggested this place so we stopped by. Walking in, a very tipsy man shouted at us that the cheese fries are the best in the world, while I’m not sure if they’re the best in the world; they’re damn good! I wasn’t feeling particularly hungry so I got the fried okra and a side Greek salad. The side of salad is so big I asked the waiter if it was the side and it was, the Greek salad was good, very good for a Greek salad and the fried okra was… average, met expectations. My friend got the chicken fried chicken and said it was fried to perfection and that the Mac and cheese was amazing. Basically if this place has a cheese based item it’s going to be good. Other friend got the Nashville fire, she said it was very good but a bit hot for her. Essentially all the food here is delicious and next time I’m in the area I’ll be sure to stop by again. I’m doing dry January so I can’t comment on the beer but my friends were happy with it. The portions are big, which justified the kind of high price, the food delicious which definitely makes it worth it and I’ll be back one day. If you do a hard hike or are in the neighborhood I recommend ya stop on by for some good food and beer with good service and atmosphere
I'm visiting Hill Country for a nice break and came across the establishment. I was seated promptly and given a huge selection of foods, beer, wine, and specialty drinks. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, but not unnecessarily so. I ordered a brew master's flight (three beers) and their meatloaf lunch special. Of the three brews, I loved the Pecan Stout. I ordered two 32 oz. cans to bring home. The broccoli red pepper blend, the mashed potatoes, and the meatloaf were filling and incredibly tasty. The barbecue sauce on the meatloaf was just the right balance. The surprise cheese in the middle of the meatloaf along with the chopped carrots added to the flavor. It was tender and moist. I'd definitely have it again. I highly recommend this little gem of a place off main street.
Visited this location on vacation about and hour and half from where we were staying and was worth it. Went to their monthly mahjong. Never had played it before and the group welcomed us even though we arrived late and they were in the middle of a game. Observed the first game and they let us jump in the next two with assistance. Was great fun. We really enjoyed our food and drinks . Missing the peach tea. The staff was really friendly and welcoming.
Really enjoyed this place. Stopped on a whim as we were passing through cause the beer flight glasses were dope & they had a large selection! Got a tomato soup + caesar salad to split with my wife. Light eats. Both yummy. Beer was really good. The Pecan Street Pumpkin Ale. Aged in bourbon vanilla barrel. Stop by when you’re in town!! Great place.
We had a phenomenal dinner here! My husband, parents, and siblings all came in on a busy Monday night (which is how you know the food is good), and everything still came out quickly. My dad had a craft beer, and I ordered the apple Moscow mule from their holiday menu—so good. My husband and brother absolutely demolished their custom pizza. I’m not usually a big burger person, but I could smell it from the street and had to order it. It was insanely flavorful, perfectly juicy, with those crispy smashburger edges done just right. My parents tried the famous chicken fried steak and the pecan-crusted chicken, and both loved them. The pecan chicken was especially unique and delicious. And the mac and cheese was our biggest oooh and awww of the table. Shoutout to our waitress (I wish I remembered her name!)—she was knowledgeable and provided excellent service. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Johnston City!
A great stop on the way through the Hill Country or as a destination in itself. Friendliest service, amazingly creative brews and homey Texas feel. There's a sometime dance floor in the back or area for live music- or seating for a larger gathering if you are a big group (ask ahead!) If you're there during the holidays a must try is their "Christmas Tree" Spruce brew-- brewed with Spruce tips gathered and brought in from Southern Colorado. It's like drinking a Christmas Tree. Do not try this at home, but a definite must at Pecan Street!
We really enjoyed our visit to this brewery! I don't even drink beer and I still indulged. The Pumpkin Pie Ale in particular was a real standout. I was also very pleased with the chicken fried steak, as it was very big, very tender, and came with potatoes and a vegetable side. The gravy was just the right consistency and the fry on it was great. As my waitress said, it really "stuck to my ribs" ! If we had one complaint, it would be that the fish and the fish and chips was a bit dry and chewy, we thought maybe it had been fried too long.
This place is worth the drive from Austin! Everything about it — its location on the town square, its Texas-pub style interior, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, the creative menu, the food, and the beer — made it the perfect place to meet for a late lunch. The place was hopping midday on a Tuesday, so clearly it’s a favorite of the locals and surely draws people driving through. My calorie-counting friend ordered a Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, and I got the FABULOUS Pecan Sweet Chicken, a fried chicken breast topped with honey pecan sauce. It was unforgettable. The dessert menu had several options that looked awesome, and had I ordered any, I’d have followed the pecan theme with the Brewer Chocolate Cake. Next time!
We visited PSB during a car show. They were pretty busy but the service was excellent. Everybody was all smiles and despite being so busy they were able to seat 7 of us right away, in a nice quiet area in the back where there was a stage for live music. We ordered a hot pretzel and fried mushrooms for the table. We had chicken fried steak, a Benedict, and a couple "Chicken My Biscuit"s. The food was amazing. Hot, fresh, and plentiful. We were very happy with our experience and we'll be back!
Came here for my first time on a Friday and had a wonderful burger that you cannot beat. The meat seemed very fresh and well cooked. My experience was so good I came back on Sunday with my family after church and it was still a great environment with very good service even when it was mostly full
We were in the area to visit the motorcycle museum and decided to give this restaurant a try—and we’re glad we did. The place was spotless and buzzing with activity, which immediately gave us confidence in our choice. Once seated, we were genuinely impressed by the attentiveness and professionalism of the waitstaff. The service was prompt, friendly, and thoughtful. The food exceeded our expectations. It had an upscale flair that you wouldn’t always expect in a Texas Hill Country restaurant. Kudos to the chef for the creativity and well-balanced flavors. All in all, this was a great experience. We’ll definitely be back when the fall motorcycle riding season kicks off.
Food was great! The hostess was very welcoming & with bubbly personality. They had serveral beer, wine, & cocktail selections. The strawberry blonde beer was a nice, crisp, lighter taste beer. Our server was good. However, the staff who brought the food on our table were lacking customer service skills. They did not seem happy with their assigned tasks. They need further customer service skills training. Their food & drink prices are more expensive than other similar places in town.
The wife and I decided to go on a road trip through wine country. For lunch, we stopped at this place. Despite being dimly lit, there was a lot of interesting decorations. Like the tables had wooden street signs protruding from the middle. The hamburger and sweet potato fries I ordered were unexpectedly awesome! I got just a basic double with grilled onions and cheddar. The richness and flavor of the burger is one of the best I’ve ever had. And I have eaten a lot of hamburgers. The service is not only friendly, but they genuinely seem like they enjoy what they’re doing. If you’re from the bigger cities and want to go on a road trip, this is a sure spot to hit.
My wife and I had an amazing time at Pecan Street Brewing in Johnson City. We absolutely loved the laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Our server, Grayci, was outstanding—her recommendations were spot on. The chicharrones were perfectly crispy, and our main plates were absolutely delicious. Great vibes, excellent food, and top-notch service. Highly recommended!
Visited on Easter Sunday completely by accident while driving through from Fredericksburg and wow, what a great surprise! From start to finish, everything was incredible. The service stood out immediately. The hosts, servers, bartenders all professional, friendly, and genuinely good people. The owners went the extra mile to make the holiday special for everyone dining that day. They even hid Easter eggs filled with candy and prizes on the patio for each family. Such a thoughtful touch! We sat outside on the patio, which was super cute, shaded, and just perfect for the beautiful weather. We ended up staying over two hours, sipping on in-house brewed draft beers and enjoying the food. We had the pretzel, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and a burger everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this spot. 10/10! Will definitely be back

Margaritas and beer was excellent. Bar service was just right. Food was good. Table service was slow and didn’t check on us very often and the food and drinks took longer than expected to arrive. They were only about half full so not why table service was so much slower.
Good food, great service and a fun atmosphere. My family went to Pecan Street Brewing during the holiday and had a good time. The kids had the chicken fried chicken, I had the smash burger and my wife had the chicken fried steak. All were really good. The beer was even better. Worth the wait to try Pecan Street Brewing!
The service here is okay. Our waiter was just attentive enough to not be an issue, but not enough to warrant a 5 star rating. The food was fine. Came in just before rush hour. Mushrooms were a bit soggy and mushy. Fries were a little undercooked, but the seasoning was great! Mushroom sauce was a bit on the salty side but had a great consistency! The nice thing is, they did take apple pay. This is my third time eating here, and the restaurant is consistently an okay dining experience. Not bad. Not stellar. Overall 7/10. Would eat here again.

We have visited before & were underwhelmed but, thought we’d give it another try tonight. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak, I ordered fried mushrooms & our guest ordered the soup of the day which was chicken tortilla soup. We both sampled the chicken fried steak, it had absolutely no flavor & same for the gravy. The side was green beans which he tried to switch out but was told substitute would be extra. No bread. The chicken tortilla soup was canned obviously & very unappealing. No crackers offered. The mushrooms were very good but, disappointingly, served with a dressing instead of gravy. The hostess that greeted us at the door was very nice & although we had to wait on a table, made us feel welcome. Our young waiter was nice also but never came back once to check on us. This seems to be more of a bar than a restaurant. Lots of beer choices & a wide selection of interesting mixed drinks. Maybe forget the food, stick to what your focus seems to be, do drinks & appetizers. We’ll find another place next time.
We got fried chicken skins, wings, and fried mushrooms as appetizers and they were great. However, the food wasn't very good. Breading on hicken fried chicken was mushy, lamb burger had too many flavors going on that didn't go with each other, and the club sandwich could use some improvement if they used different bread. I have hardly ever given a bad review on a place. I can usually give a good review when the food is bad if the service is great. The main reason for a low review here is the food was not very good but the service was even worse. The older man with a beard at the host stand in the front was very rude. He is the sole reason we'll never step foot in this place again. Our server was ok, though, a little odd. This could be a cool place if the can improve on personnel.
Sadly, it was a terrible experience. We were a table of seven and ordered 6 appetizers, 3 pizzas and some drinks. You could barely see the toppings on the pizza. Clearly the ones on these pictures…

Failed to provide an adequate portion 3 times. I don't even know how you survived this long as a business... If your "meal" can literally be eaten in three bites by a small female, you may need to reevaluate your prices and services. This is not leftovers. This is literally the whole thing that was served (first time with hair in it). One slice of tomato, one green leaf, one spoonful of egg. Y'all ok?
