The stadium should be better. Its well maintained. However, Querétaro Is becoming a modern city and I think this stadium should reflect that. It still has the theme of the 80s , an upgrade would make it a one of the best stadiums in Mexico. Especially because of its location, inside the city, next to main highways.

Stadium is fairly clean. Prices are reasonable drinks and snacks, for stadium prices. Beer was 75 for about 1.5 bottles which are served in large cup. Snacks are 20 pesos and up, but the variety is good from the walking vendors inside. Stadium goalposts are North and South, for anything after 3PM shade is in the Zona Azul (West), North/South get some shade after 6PM. You'll bake in the East, bring sunblock. To buy tickets Stadium is closed all sides yet the box-office is open. Park in close neighborhoods and have to walk it to north or south box office.

Visited the Comunidades Extranjeras event. Some 80 countries were represented in a close layout that was better than last year's. However, this year they charged 15 pesos for the parking. The walk to the event is long, on dirt sidewalks, and under the harsh afternoon sun. The food, drink, and crafts are the big attractions. I was a bit disappointed with the Greek spanakopita. The bread was not flaky filo and the filling was dry. Egypt was absent this year. Wear comfortable flat shoes if you go next year.

Facilities are ok, it could be a bit more clean, but its a stadium, so it probably is hard to keep it that way.

We decided to take in a match between Gallos Blancos (Querétaro) and Puma. The match was great, the stadium is sorta "meh." Starting with the good; convenient restrooms, comfortable seats, great views from 3/4 of the stadium. Egress was also smooth and trouble-free. Now the not so great: getting into the stadium was messy. We had to be approved by one level of security who stamped our hands, then stood in line for the second ticket check. In this check, the attendants took our photos one-by-one with cell phones. Then we went to the third check, which was security and another ticket verification. Overall, it took a long time to enter the stadium. Once inside, we didn't have many food or drink options. In fact we ate chips and churros brought by the vendors because we really couldn't find anything else. None of the vendors sold water, and we were unable to bring water inside. So by the time we left, we were parched. There is no scoreboard in the stadium and no clock. So you have to keep track of the score and guesstimate the remaining time. The stadium could be really great if they'd fix just a few things.

Soccer game at Mexico always a good option, if you are at town, don't hesitate and buy tickets! Regular, old stadium but, nice size (33k)
