Food was Great and the prices were very reasonable. Good mom and pop restaurant.
Really good food and the lemonade is awesome love this place inTexas you guys should try out the asada tacos yummy
Really good authentic Mexican food.
Hands down the best food I had in Texas when I visited and the owners truly make you feel appreciated.
Real southwest/Tex-Mex home cooking! Friendly, delicious and worth the stop! Fuelled-up next door.
The food is delicious and your plate is full. The service is very friendly and they are very accommodating. My family and I enjoy coming to eat at Tia Nena's.
Hidden gem on way back from San Antonio. We both got tacos and it came with rice beans and salad. They had great homade salsa!
Truckers coming through Junction need to give this place a try. I got some of the best tacos from here. It is easy to just walk across the street and it is a refreshing change from McDonalds.
Very delicious food. Plate was brought out entirly full compared to other places here in junction. It was more food than plate. Highly recommend eating here.
Possibly the best restaurant on I10 between San Antonio and El Paso. Great salsa. Open till 10 according to the sign on the door. We went at 9:15.
Great restaurant. Owners are a very kind couple and food is very tasty and affordable. Worth checking it out👌🏾
If you Love Mexican Food this would be A Great place. I don't see it to expensive. Really Nice quiet place.
Foods great, friendly staff. If you're to early, check Gene'Gene's Go truck stop they sell Tia Nina's breakfast burritos!
Great customer service , lady who is the waitress is super nice and friendly ! Tacos were great too
Great food and fast service. Had carne guisada plate which was very tender.
Friendly place to eat , we enjoyed food but more friendly people work it lugar.
Awesome place to stop...Ole fashion food prices... you have to stop here.... will be back
Very good place to eat best restaurant in Junction, Workers are very friendly. Food is excellent will come again ,5 outta 5
Honestly, we were a little skeptical when we saw there was a 1$ charge for chip refill.... But it didn’t matter!!! The food was awesome! Plenty of food and we were too full for a chip refill! People were very nice and service was good!!!
If you have to avoid gluten due to health reasons like me but LOVE quesadillas, stop here on your road trip!! They have a 3 quesadilla with corn tortillas meal and they are DELICIOUS. Staff is super friendly and the salsa was very yummy!!
Omg dont sleep on going here! It's amazing! Family run and you feel the love in the food. We ended up going here as the pizza junction was closed and I doubt we will go anywhere else but here in the future. The fajitas were spot on and queso was on point. We took it to go and even momma checked on us outside to ensure we were ok with a change they had to make as it was right before closing. Me and my husband just kept saying wow as we were eating in the hotel room. And cold the next day it was still amazing!
I can read the bad coments, they came only from Euroamericans, I understand, they don't know nothing about Mexican flavor recipes 😎
Great stop for truck drivers to get homemade food. Lots of parking around & easy to get in & out with trailer. The price & service are way better than getting fast food.
Hands down the best carne guisada I have ever had. It was so good, I went back in the morning for breakfast. Their migas is amazing. This little gem is one in a million. Cool pictures on the walls, friendly staff, down to earth vibe, and food that will blow your mind.
The carne guisado plate was GREAT! We ordered carry-out and received both of our lunches, a bag of tortilla chips, salsa, utensils, and everything was labeled. It was also really fast.
Food was good the staff very friendly Going back again but they need to do more cleaning at the restroom & repair some items
Husband & I stopped here for lunch last fall. Really enjoyed it. The molé was fantastic, and I can't recall what my hub got, but it was a slow-cooked beef dish, and I had to keep him from licking the plate. Price was great too. Ladies running the place were friendly and proud that we were pleased. Husband wants to drive back to Junction from Houston to eat there again. Yes, it's a mamá & papá hole in the wall, but isn't that where the best food is made? (I didn't use the infamous restroom)
Freshly prepared food that is served hot. I really enjoyed my dinner here. It was my first time to eat here, and I was a little skeptical, but the food was good, and the people were friendly and helpful. I plan to return.
Amazing little Mexican restaurant. Clean homemade and delicious food. Perfect flavors. Tacos were exactly what I invasion. The flavor was even better. Customer service excellent 👌
This place was a great place to relax and eat during our road trip. The ingredients were above average and prices were fair. The staff was very nice and the place was clean. For a speedy dine in on your road trip.....Stop by this place.
Was traveling by and stopped, food/service was good. We will be stopping by again.
Meal was very good, service was friendly. The decor and tables were dated, but in good condition and clean. Restroom was clean. Food was not especially spicy, some would call it a bit bland, sure, but it was very good.
This place was fantastic. A real treat after driving the interstate all day. Friendly staff, delicious genuine Mexican food
Excellent breakfast! Huevos rancheros South Texas style with homemade salsa, perfect potatoes, good beans, crispy bacon, This will be on our stop list from now on. Sitting here finishing up and already looking forward to the next visit.
Amazing food (and it's cheap!). The atmosphere is cozy and everyone was super friendly. Got the cheese enchilada plate - yum! With an iced tea which came in a huge cup and was delicious. The place was not dirty which I had read in a previous review - it just isn't spanking new, it has character. Salsa is spicy!! Would definitely come again when passing through junction
Sweet, little family run restaurant off the freeway in Junction, TX. We had been on the road for almost 7 hours and were looking for a safe break from the car and something to fill our bellies. At 9:45pm, 15 minutes before closing, they welcomed us in as if we were family of their own. They encouraged us to take our time and visited with us while the food was being prepared. Their salsa here is 🔥🔥🔥 but so yummy! My cheese enchiladas were the perfect solution to my hunger. My family left with both full bellies and full hearts, TX hospitality at it's best! ♥️
Ordered steak quesadillas, Flavor-wise I’ve had better! Chips were fresh crunchy amazing! Salsa is on the very spicy side!
I ordered the three cheese enchilada, rice and beans plate to go. The portion size was perfect and they gave me as much beans and rice as they could. I ate every bit of it. I really, really LOVED their re-fried beans!! I had been starving to death and that meal hit the spot. Their chips where very light and salsa was yummy too!
I'm a Trucker so this spot I'll be revisiting. Breakfast tacos were fantastic. Very pleasant folks. Building is old, but for me that's what gives it charm. Pretty clean aswell. I see below a 2 star review crying about no masks. This is their business. They run it how they want. Clown 🤡.
This family run Mexican restaurant was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was good. I had the Platillos Rancheros. I particularly like the guacamole and flautas. The salsa was homemade and spicy with good flavor. The do not serve beer.
Service was excellent Food was hot and freshly made Good taste, good flavor
Huevos rancheros and machaca con huevo very nice home made flavor good price n service closed on Mondays
As a local who moved away after school, this is one of the spots I have to go to when I’m in town. The taco & enchilada plate is bomb
Exactly what I wanted. We're on a road trip and this place was the campy and homey place we needed. Lovely people running the place and the perfect cheese enchiladas.
One of my favorite places in the area to stop to eat when coming through here.

Nice cozy small town family owned restaurant good authentic mexican food with good service and easy access to the interstate.
Good food. Great service. Perfectly happy with my dinner there.
Good tasting food and wowzers on the flavorful salsa. I only had the quesadillas.
Quaint and homey atmosphere, affordable. My cheese enchiladas were delicious, so were the rice, chips and salsa.
I am a chips & salsa kinda of gal and their salsa was just right on the spice. I ordered chicken enchiladas and they were good. The beans were delicious.
After a long night on the road I stopped for breakfast tacos. A little wait but well worth it. Everything freshly made and delicious. Sure better than fake food from McD's. I will stop here any chance I get. Even got the menu to call ahead in case I'm short on time.
Nice homey stop for a late lunch. Old taco bell tables and seats crack me up but are nice to see repurposed. Food was hot! No complaints, especially for limited options in town.
Customer service was good, friendly. The food was good fresh and hot made to order. Restraunt was clean and open .WOULD like to have homemade tortillas being that it was a Mexican Restaurant .Overall it was a good choise for our stop to eat while vacation.
Absolutely love this place! Best breakfast in town! Huevos rancheros are to die for! Carne guasada, excellent! Love their salsa. Always take a quart home with me. I would rate this cafe a 5☆, just never know when they are open.
This restaurant is a bit outdated, but staff is awesome and the tacos are so freaking fabulous!!! I normally go to the BBQ place next door, but I'm soooo glad I decided to stop here.. beans were the best, and honestly the tacos are worth mentioning again...lol...great place!!!!
I am very pleased. I frequently stop at Genes truck stop long enough for a coffee or ice tea refill for the road . Well tonight I decided to park it for the night. I had to choose between coopers bbq or Tia Nenas.. well I chose Tia's and Im glad that I did. Its not a fancy place. For those of us familiar with El Paso and Juarez. Its not the Villa Del Mar,Florida or Cattlemen.. its a small place with a very family frendly environment. With very good authentic Mexican food. I ordered the #15 its a thin sirloin steak. Thin but big in size. Topped with grilled onions a side of fresh salad and real refried bean.and Rice. Very delicious. The price is good too.. they don't sell beer but what the waitress told me is you can bring in your own beverage and enjoy with your meal. I will definitely return, the feeling I got during my visit was warm family plus some delicious comidas de rancho.. good home cooking .
The food was good and the staff is very friendly and nice . The food came out fast and warm ready to eat. Good place to stop for a quick bite if traveling
If you are up for some great stewed meats they have it. The Puerco was firm to the touch, but one bite through and it falls apart. Plenty of spicy available, or milder and flavorful.
Stopped on our road trip for lunch and to get a break from the regular fast food places. It was one of the better rated places and we were really wanting tacos. The staff were very friendly and patient with us. They were very accommodating. The food was good. We had a beef taco plate and the beef enchiladas. A little on the mild side but the salsa made up for it. Everything came out hot. The atmosphere was charming but a little run down. Things were cleaned obviously but everything had quite a bit of wear and tear on it. You could tell that things were cleaned on a regular basis but just an older establishment in need of a good make over. Could use some updating and general maintenance. It was a cute place with friendly staff, guick service and good food.
Homemade feel good Mexican Food. I liked the way the rice was made. Reminded me of my mom’s rice. Beans were refried and flavored well. The cheese enchiladas were hand rolled and freshly made with cheese. Crispy taco shells were made fresh, but I could have used them a little more crispier. Chips were not homemade, but the salsa was. Had a nice garlic flavor to it. Come over for a quick lunch. I think you will like it. Feels Homey. Don’t look into the restaurant itself, it’s in need of a facelift, but the staff is super friendly and kind. One of the waitresses reminded me of my Abuela.
Food was great, service was excellent. The chips, salsa, and guacamole is better than most high end Mexican restaurant's. Always a good meal when I have been here. Chicken enchiladas are very good.
Old building that needs a rebuild. Food is great and wonderful service. Family business.
Full of after-church customers when we stopped. Good honest food in an older establishment.

Good sized portions. My steak ranchero was good but my wife's enchiladas were cold.
This is a wonderful hole in the wall Tex-Mex restaurant with great value and superb cooking. I come down from San Angelo to meet family that comes from Kerrville and 9 times out of 10 we choose Tia Nena's.
The food exceeded our expectations and the service was friendly and efficient. The decor was run down and windows dirty.

Good sized portions. My steak ranchero was good but my wife's enchiladas were cold.
Good food but I had gotten the squirts about 4 hours later, and it lasted for about 2 days.😕
Was Average. Used Enchilada Sauce for enchiladas. Tacos tasted good but were soft for a hard shell. Would be better if they offered Red or Green for enchiladas. Had no sweet tea just unsweet.
Salsa and chips are delicious. The beef taco is good. Rice was hard. Beans ok. Enchiladas were bland. Floutas were ok. I am hoping their meats steaks. Fajitas etc are good. The place needs to be cleaned inside and out.
Food was good, I had 3 enchiladas, one cheese, one beef, and one chicken. The meal came with rice and beans. Staff are friendly and service was quick and efficient. The only knock on the place was that the restaurant interior was dilapidated and in need of repair. The wall paper was loose and pealing and there were holes in the baseboards. Otherwise, I would have given 4 stars.
We were disappointingly underwhelmed by the flavor and quality of the food. It was surprisingly dry and bland, and the portions were fairly small for the price. Great, kind staff and quick service, though!
It was average. My tacos were bland but portions are good. Plenty of chips and salsa. Workers are friendly and very clean establishment
A/c was out , windows were open and hot inside. Flies were in the restaurant
The people were nice. The tacos were okay. The restaurant was dirty and the restrooms were filthy. I wish we had eaten somewhere else.
Their waitstaff uses profanity in the dining area. Are they just assuming us gringos don’t know Spanish?
I love the food but would enjoy so much more and go more often if it was cleaner. Kitchen is clean, but bathroom, ceiling fans, etc just really needs a good cleaning. The people who own it and work there are sweet.
Service was excellent, but tortillas were subpar and they don’t require people to wear masks. We witnessed 3 patrons walk in without masks and the cook was in back without a mask as well. Just hope we don’t get sick from this place.
Food was not great. Beans too runny. Rice overcooked. Enchiladas overcooked. Salsa was good
Cute little establishment. A little run down and the bathrooms were pretty gross. The food was mediocre. The service however was just fine. Friendly people.
The food was pretty good accept for the chicken. Anything beef was good such as the tacos and enchiladas my son and I had. My husband had chicken tacos and the chicken was dry and lacked flavor. Rice and been were really good too. The restaurant is definitely dated and in need of a deep cleaning. No homemade flour tortillas or bottled water. The staff was nice but we probably won’t go back.
Stopped by on our way home from a roadtrip because of the great reviews. Place is rundown, which is ok, since some of the best places we've found aren't fancy but unfortunately the food was not worth the stop. Chicken enchiladas were bland. My 8 year old did like the children's taco plate. Salsa was great and saved the day because husband poured it on his food to be able to eat it with some flavor. There was food on the floor and not very clean but the server was very nice, friendly and we did receive our food very quickly.
The biggest issue here is sanitation. We received spoon that was dirty. Not Karen dirty but visibly dirty. The paintings on the wall had what looked like mold spots, matching the wall above it. The restrooms were really bad. Old grime toilets hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. But, we didn’t die or even get sick. Just be weary of the cleanliness. Service was rude and short. Didn’t have much interaction but appeared waitress was mad about something else. We paid said thank you and likely won’t go back. Decide for yourself just look at the walls and paintings when you get in… you tell me if you trust me review. Lol

This place is never open and has odd hours. stopped here maybe 6 times in the last month during advertised hours and its closed and dark. Oh well.
Closed Down - No hours posted, building in disrepair, street sign broken.
Bad costumer service, menudo didn't taste like nothing ,no flavor. For 4 menudo and 2 Enchiladas plates Paid 70dls!! That's hilarious 🤢🤢🤢🤢🙄
Not only was this the worst Mexican food I've ever had, anywhere; but the bathroom was covered in rust and grime. Save your stomach and the need for a tetanus shot and go elsewhere.
I’ve tried to eat at this restaurant now... 3 times and every time I go, they’re closed. They have their hours listed online but it seems that they open and close whenever they feel like it. It seems like your only hope of eating at this restaurant is to visit in the morning.
It always sucks to go to a place that isn't open when the hours are stated
Food was horrible I caint beleive people eat here! Come on how do you screw up tacos….
Sunday Aug. 31 says on map it's open but it's closed!!!!
Veryyyy nasty, everything was dirty. Bathroom floor, walls, sealing, just that took the desire to eat
when I was walking with my friends and family I was intrigued to a scent that was almost the smell of a sewer. No hate to the place but, with further investigation we found the service quality low, the reason is because we were a big party and the attitude/tone was unacceptable. After a few minutes they didn’t get us situated; therefore, we complain to the workers. After, a lot of discussion I realized the dissatisfaction they had for us as people. finally, they kicked us out without a saying or a reason so we decided just to go to mc Donald’s down the street.
Closed at 920pm on Saturday night with advertised closing hours of 10pm. I was disappointed they were completely dark, they should update their business hours. I saw two other people visit and discovered they closed early. From other reviewers, they don't seem to take their own business hours very seriously.
