First time visiting this restaurant. Was craving a good 🍔 . Instead I got a great burger, everything was fresh and so delicious. One burger is enough to feed 2 people depending on how hungry one is. Their portions definitely fit the Texas motto everything is bigger in Texas. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean with a laidback ambiance. Their menu options are more than just burgers, but everything served is in big portions so bring your appetite when y’all decide to order from here. Definitely returning to try the fish sandwich (they put a whole fillet of fish)😱.

As a foodie, I love exploring new spots and getting recommendations from the staff to see how things really stack up. Today, we checked out JBL Eatery, and I was pleasantly surprised. My wife went with the Fish, Chips, and Shrimp plate, which was seasoned well with a nice Cajun kick. A solid choice for anyone looking for something beyond the usual burger or sandwich. Now, let’s talk about my meal—the Crazy Burger. Honestly, there should be a disclaimer before ordering this beast. I consider myself a big guy who can handle a serious meal, but this burger was MASSIVE. I only managed to eat about 40% before tapping out and taking the rest to go. I can’t even remember the last time I needed a to-go box for a burger and fries. As for the burger itself—absolutely delicious. The smash-style patties were bigger than the bun, cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor. The bacon was chopped into crispy pieces, the veggies were fresh, and while I’m usually not a fan of Thousand Island dressing, it actually worked really well here. With a double patty, this thing was a challenge to bite into without missing parts of the burger. Honestly, two people could split it and still leave full. I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing my fellow foodies along! Huge thanks to JBL Eatery for the amazing food—we’ll see you again soon!

Tried JLB for the first time today. Everything was cooked perfectly and fresh made to order! We tried the avocado burger which is shown in the picture below! You can tell the meat is fresh and not a frozen patty! This burger is huge!!! Reminiscent of burgers from years gone by that were hot, fresh ingredients, and the bun is so delicious! Also had the fish and chips and they were delicious! My son had the buffalo wings and he said they are the best he’s ever had! Love the atmosphere, the Christian music and the people are amazing! Emma did such a great job she was extremely friendly, professional, and patient with us! Would highly recommend this restaurant!

I met the owners and his wife they are so nice! It was my first time a JLB Eatery and I can tell you for sure it will not be my last. I will definitely be going back in the future. I got the crazy burgers. It tastes amazing, was huge double meat full of goodness, bacon, stacked with veggies, creamy sauce, beautiful soft buns hand made. Sooooo good!

What can I say about this restaurant that hasn't already been said about heaven! Huge burgers and a nice local feel. Best fries in town and a wonderful selection of various types of catfish. Nice staff members will help you decide what to get. EVERYTHING IS GOOD!

We came here for the first time with my family for my husband’s birthday and we felt right at home. Everyone, I mean every single person in that room was just so nice and sweet. The employees were so quick and responsive to everything and the owner was just the sweetest lady I’ve met! The food was scrumptious. Forget all the other burger spots, this will now be our go to moving forward! We loved our JLB burger (chicken & beef) with chili cheese fries. The owner made sure my husband felt special on his birthday and surprised him with a delicious dessert. Loved how clean it was and the diverse menu they have.

My husband brought me here for the first time and it was absolutely amazing! So clean, modern, and cute! I love they play Christian music and have Bible verses painted on their decor. The burgers are HUGE!! REAL beef and mouth watering delicious!! As we sat there and ate I watched multiple customers come and go and quickly learned there are MANY regulars who asked about where the owner was and concerned not to see her. Sadly she’s in Korea because her mother is ill. Her daughters were running the restaurant and I can honestly say they were SO SWEET and have AMAZING customer service!!! I will absolutely come back here over and over again!!!

Ordered a meal to go for the first time from here today. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. She suggested the turkey melt and it did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. The cook when he called my order even opened the box to show me how proud he was... And he should be cus it was delightful. I'll definitely be going back for lunch next time I'm in the Old Katy area.

The food was delicious, I was surprised at the location. It is attached to the gas station, and the restroom facility is in the gas station only. I was impressed with the pictures from other views. Food It tastes as good as it looks.

First time here. We have been looking for a new burger place since Willy Burger closed. We ordered and split a plain hamburger with onion rings. The place was pretty busy. The food came out pretty quick. The food was hot and fresh. They even split it for us, which was nice. The hamburger was very good. We both liked the taste. The onion rings were handmade and very good as well. We will be back.

Food is above average, but expensive. Rarely clean tables and in gas station strip mall. More attention to service and more reasonable prices and I would be a regular.

We gave this place a try for the first time todayfor takeout. We got the double cheeseburger which was pretty good and the crazy burger, which was not as tasty. We also got their 2 piece cornmeal breaded fish which came with a variety of fries, onion rings and a hush puppy. It tasted decent with the tartar sauce, and the fried variety was good. The funnel cake fries were ok, but the fried oreos were really good. They did forget the bavarian creme churro we had ordered which was annoying.

The fish was soggy and greasy! My cats wouldn’t even eat it! The one hush puppy and the onion rings were stale and undercooked at the same time. The fish had a weird taste, it was bad! The bread that came with it looked like it had been mangled. The churro I ordered was so stale and hard that it actually broke a temporary crown when I bit into it. The ONLY thing good that I ordered was the Dr Pepper. When I complained they basically told me that oh well, so sorry, we will strive to make it better next time. Next time? Really? I don’t think so! I’m out $20! So very disappointed in a restaurant that we USED to order from regularly.

Food was okay. No restroom in a facility that offers in house seating is outrageous. My 8 year old had to go to the restroom & they don't have one. Went to the gas station next door, out of order & blocked. Went to the pizza spot next to that & donut place and they let me know the entire strip doesn't offer yet 3 of 4 of those spots were food. Thank you Penzoil because it was the only restroom without having to cross the street. Ridiculous. For ADA reasons, OSHA, and simple common sense & courtesy - you should really change that.

My boyfriend did a takeout order at JLB Eatery on Franz Rd and honestly, it was a mess. I ordered the 2 fish & 6 shrimp combo—half Cajun, half London style—and it was a disaster. The shrimp had way too much breading. The onion rings looked like they’d been swimming in grease; there’s no way I could eat them without feeling like I’m raising my cholesterol by the minute. The Cajun fried fish was paper-thin, basically just breading with zero seasoning. As a matter there was absolutely no seasoning on anything. And to top it off, no condiments came with my order. My boyfriend got The Crazy Burger. True to the name, it was chaotic, sloppy, and way too much meat. Overall, the food was greasy, over breaded, bland, and poorly seasoned, and the lack of proper condiments made it a real letdown.
