Fantastic and authentic chino boricua food! The ONLY place for that nostalgic and one-of-a-kind taste of the Chinese-Puertorrican cuisine. We had a great time and we can't wait to go back! Wepa! 🇵🇷
Awesome place to try!! Found them I’m on IG and rushed to try them! Portions are big, taste is amazing and service was thru the roof!! Fried chicken was cooked a bit harder than I liked but that could be the Latin/Chino way. Wasn’t my preference. Chris, the manager was FANTASTIC!! He was super sweet, explained the fusion of cultures and his team the same. We said it was our first time coming in and they explained the menu, how to order, and recommendations! Overall amazing experience. Please try them!!
You get so much food for what you pay! Delicious and always hot and fresh. Fun and inviting atmosphere as well! My cashier Daly greeted me with a smile. Will definitely be back for more!
A traveled from San Antonio to Houston to eat here because i was missing the taste of Chinese-Puertorican food. There are no places with the same taste. I would love for them to open a franchise in San Antonio, but we haven't been heard yet. I still love them and every time I have to go to Houston I will definitely stop at Michy's to eat.
As a native Puerto Rican, I was excited to try this place. I most say, it didn't disappoint. We got the Carne Frita, Orange Chicken, and Boneless BBQ Ribs all with pork fried rice and french fries (like typically served in Puerto Rico). They were delicious!
A friend told me about this place so I Stopped on my way to Galveston for a cruise and stopped here again when I got back on my way home!! 10/10 ⭐️ The tostones, deliciosos!! The carne frita, Amazing!! The mofongo w/ garlic shrimp, Sabroso!!! The fried chicken w/fried rice, so good!! You’ll just have to try it for yourselves!!! 🌟✨💫
Drove from Austin here on my way to a cruise. Boy was I NOT disappointed from the tiktok video f this place. Food was amazing and reminded me of home. They have a second one in Katy and plans to open one in Dallas in a month per staff. Extremely highly recommended for Puerto Rican food.
🌟 Consistently Great Experience This was our second visit, and once again, the customer service was outstanding. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming—such a nice atmosphere to walk into! 💵 The food is very reasonably priced, which makes the whole experience even better. On our first visit, the meat was a bit dry, but this time, everything was spot-on. The tostones rellenos were easily my favorite—absolutely delicious! 👍 Definitely worth checking out. We’ll always be back!
It’s been a while since I came to Michy’s. I had seen their updates online on their new location and now offering sushi. I am so glad we came to try their new location. The food was so much better than I remember. The mofongo con carne frita was moist and flavorful. The San Juan sushi was amazing with the sweet plantain’s. The food took a bit but we did order a lot. It was worth the wait. It’s the closest I can get to the food back home from PR and the Chinese boricua combo of food being some back to my childhood in PR. Loved the new location, food, logo, everything. Will be featuring for sure.
Michy’s is the best bang for your buck ever. Food is amazing and the portions are so huge they will last you the rest of the week. The cherry on top of my visit was Chris who is the best manager ever. He is so kind and generous, I would come back just to visit him. This place is a must try!
It was my first time trying Michy's and I was very satisfied with the customer service and the portions were amazing for what you pay. I didn't get the employees name but he helped me go through the menu and I ended up going with the vegetable Lol mein & broccoli steak and he even put in a free item in my order which was really nice of him! I'm definitely going to be back to try some of their other items ☺️
I had a fantastic dining experience at this lovely restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The highlight of my visit was definitely the service — my cashier, Eder, was exceptionally kind and patient. Eder made sure all my questions were answered and that I felt taken care of throughout the experience. It's rare to encounter such a friendly and thoughtful staff member, and it truly enhanced the overall experience. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this spot to friends and family! I paid 10$ and it was so much food and it came with French fries wich I didn’t know
Long time since I wanted to come here, and I did today. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We tried three different things and wanted to go back to try other dishes. I had a Mofongo con Churrasco. The Churrasco was tender and well cooked. It was tasty and flavorful. The chimichurri sauce was really good with the Churrasco. The mofongo was soft, a little dry for my taste, but the mayo ketchup complements it really well. And I got the Kola Champagne from Puerto Rico. We also tried the 787 roll. It was delicious. The rolls had Churrasco, Amarillos, and chimichurri sauce. It was my favorite. The Tropical roll was very good. The mix of the sweet guava sauce was very tasty. The menu is varied. I will definitely come back to try the Tostones and other dishes. The restaurant is spacious and it was clean.
My first time trying Puerto Rican and Chinese food! My friend strongly recommended this place. He’s Puerto Rican and I’m Chinese so it was the perfect fusion spot for us! He’s been here regularly and no matter the distance (it was about 45-50 min drive) he said it’s worth it! We came here on Monday, July 1st around 5pm. The restaurant is very clean, bright and colorful. You order at the counter. My friend ordered us: 2 piece fried chicken with fried rice (chicken was super crispy, well seasoned and rice was fluffy and light in savory), Carne Frita (the pork was marinated and fried to perfection! The side of fried plantains was airy crispy and tender on the inside), and the Garlic Shrimp with Mofongo (This was my favorite! The shrimp with plump with lots of garlic and onions. The Mofongo was delicious, fluffy, savory -had bits of pork grinds mixed in) Everything had the wok hay flavor.. if you know, you know.. this is what makes good Chinese food. I loved the two sauces that came with everything, the garlic butter enhanced everything and the Mayo mixed sauce was a great addition to every item. What a stellar combination of two cultures. I can’t believe I’m just discovering this place. What a gem!!
The combination of Puerto Rican and Chinese food, is a delight. Fits very well together. Their different choices of the me menu is creat too. My favorite is their sushi but with plantain and steak instead. Their fried rice is a must try too. Would highly recommend but not a fan of their general chicken.
Great service and food is great serving size and pricing is reasonable! Definitely will have to stop by again when im in town again. Enjoyed that we had different cuisine to choose from.
I was excited to try a Chinese-Puerto Rican restaurant to see how the food tastes. I was disappointed. I ordered the Enchilado Chicken with Mofongo, plus a side of fried chicken. The Enchilado sauce was sweet and spicy, somewhat like sweet-and-sour sauce but with more heat. I expected a more distinctive taste, but it didn’t deliver. This dish consists of chicken, carrots, green bell peppers, and the sauce. The Mofongo, on the other hand, had unique and complex flavors. Made from plantain, I could clearly taste the garlic, and it was quite dense. The fried chicken was decent, with a crispy batter but lacking in flavor. I also sampled the Malta India drink, which was refreshing and had flavors not typically found in major U.S. soda brands. You place your order at the counter, and when your food is ready, a buzzer alerts you to pick it up. After ordering, the checkout screen still shows tipping options, starting at around 25%. Since the service is self-serve, I’m not sure why they request such high tips. It would be a while before I try this place again.
This is described to me as mall, Chinese food and to a certain degree it is. I ordered the orange chicken with the combo. The good is that we have a lot of food. The fries are really crispy and tasty and delicious. The orange chicken didn’t really have much flavor. I could not detect any orange whatsoever. In fact it was all white chicken, which I enjoyed however, I have been overcooked by a lot so it was quite dry and tough. The April probably one of my favorite parts of the dish cycling, prize, good flavor, minced well, so you got the variety of flavor and every bite. I do like to pair it with sweet-and-sour sauce however their sweet-and-sour sauce tasted like water with red dye in it. The fried rice was good. I don’t know if you called pork fried rice because the slippers are pork are so small and far between that you don’t really taste much of it. Lastly, just a sidenote, there is no tea available here. I don’t drink soda very much anymore and didn’t even pay attention. I just assumed I’m able to be a tea so if you like tea definitely don’t order the drink here.
Disappointed in the quality and flavors of the food. I had the fried chicken it was crispy and thats about it. No other flavor. I ordered a side of broccoli to go with it and wanted it extra tender, when I got it, it was basically raw still. I had them cook it more and again asked for it to be tender. They gave it back and was now chard but still barely cooked. My husband got the orange chicken and you could tell it was sitting for a while. The chicken wasn't crispy anymore and soggy it was hard as well. His rice was also crispy like being burnt from sitting in the pan for to long. He did say that the egg roll was really good. I did also appreciate the guy at the register who help us navigate the menue. But overall I dont think we would be back.
