Food was awesome. Place was very clean. Manager was good people. Active area, but plenty of parking. They also have an outdoor patio. Don’t see enough outdoor seating these days. Definitely be back when the weather’s nice. First time trying and I’m hooked. Can’t wait to try everything they offer.

Fast service, kind staff, good food a perfect place to go with friends and family. The Cinemark theater is nearby so its perfect to grab something to eat before or after watching a movie. The Metro bus station is also nearby so if you are hungry before or after a trip its also a great choice

Kept seeing the commercials for their new Crafted Chicken sandwiches, late night on Pluto TV. No judgment. Anyway, they looked really amazing and the commercial claims they're "cooked to perfection." Well I wasn't about to let that claim go untested so I tried them out on a rainy Saturday afternoon. When I'm trying new foods or new restaurants, I like to get a few things off the menu to really get an idea of how the rest of the menu "performs". I ordered three sandwiches, the chicken club, the buffalo ranch, and the classic chicken. All three were really cooked to perfection! Full of flavor, juicy but not dripping with grease. The buns were fluffy and flavorful as well. Now, even though they were all three delicious in their own right, none of them were particularly distinct from the other. That is to say, the $4.00 Classic was almost indistinguishable from the $7 Club and Buffalo Ranch. - I will definitely be back for another round of Craft Chicken Sandwiches, still need to try the BBQ chicken sandwich....but I think the next time I want a regular style chicken sandwich, I'll just order the Classic sandwiches and add things as I crave them; pickles, tomatoes, sauces, etc. - overall, Slim Chickens is legit! Very good food.

I'm not sure why I waited so long to try this place. The food was delicious. I love it that it's made to order, so it's fresh and hot. I'll definitely be going back!!!

Slim Chickens has tasty chicken sandwiches! We recommend the Chicken Club Sandwich and Cayenne Ranch Sandwich subbed with fried pickles and ranch. The prices are a dollar or two higher than other chicken sandwiches, but the taste and convenience is what brings us back.

Been here a couple of times for Waffle weds and w family on other days. Julio has to be ur best employee here. This guy has the best customer service skills and is fast and good at his job. Food is good...especially their specials. Yes a little pricey but not bad and always fresh.

The chicken wings are good but average. The chicken strips are the best I've ever tasted. They were fresh, crispy and seasoned to perfection. I actually ate them with no dipping sauce. I tried 2 different sauces. The sauces were tasty but they took away from the original flavor of the strips. I will be googling their closest location while traveling. Unfortunately, we don't have one near our home in New Orleans.

This place is DELICIOUS. I love the chicken tenders and chicken and waffle (my fav) and just everything on the menu! Their lemonade is so good also their sweet tea. I love how the chicken breading isn’t too thick or hard it’s just perfect with the right amount of flavor and not supper greasy!! Their sauces are awesome, great variety. Our family loves this place!! Definitely a must try if you haven’t yet!!

This place is a 5 out of 5 in every way! Perfect food, desert, and service! I’m never going back to Cane’s after eating Slims chicken. Robert is the definition of who I want to see when walking into any establishment. He’s super kind, has an amazing personality, and explains everything in superior detail.

Slim Chickens is hands-down, the most underrated chicken place ever! The buffalo chicken strips and french fries are perfect!

We love grabbing lunch or dinner here. The service is always great, and you can't go wrong no matter what you order. Our favorite go to is always the fried tenders. The waffles and fried tenders is the best cheat meal around! Let me not forget to mention the jar deserts - they have a few selections depending on what flavor flips your boat. It's a kid friendly environment and the atmosphere is always great. Of all the times we have eaten here, I can say we have always walked out happy with our choice.

Let me preface...I love Slim's, ever since my boyfriend recommended it to me I've been in love and crave it all the time. I went through the drive-thru and ordered 1 hungry meal and 1 classic meal with the tenders tossed in sauce (highly recommend!) I waited maybe less than 10 minutes before my food came out. Once I got home we realized my classic meal had the new tender bites instead of the regular tenders. Typically I'm not one to complain, however my boyfriend had called this location and spoke to Harold the manager. Harold was very kind and accommodating, he stated he would be working the next day for us to get a "redo" of our meals with the choice of either getting the same meals or getting to try something new. The next day we came in and Harold was very respectful and proceeded to apologize. We decided to eat inside and even then, he was very attentive and checked up on us to make sure everything was good. I really appreciate the great service he provided and the food was amazing as always. I definitely recommend this location especially because of the special care Harold puts into his customers!

Food is always fresh out and cooked nicely, always come here for their tenders and the flavors that they have for it, I got a 5pc tender with 3 of them “shaken” on garlic Parmesan and 2 of mango habanero, the garlic Parmesan is by far the best one on the list, I do think it’s slightly salty than it should be but it still tastes as good, the cayenne ranch is the best one so far. together with mango habanero for those that like and extra kick to it. Have a decent amount of choices for drinks but I always go for Their peach tea mixed with lemonade.

This place has awesome chicken! We had the chicken and waffles on waffle Wednesday which discounted it by $4 - what a deal!! And we had the Buffalo Mac-n-cheese bowl which was also delicious. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was just right, the sauce was not too heavy and not too light. It remained crunchy with the right amount of moisture. I also ordered the reeses dessert cup that come in a glass mason jar. It was absolutely delicious.

This was my first time eating here, and definitely won't be the last. Both my order of tenders and fries were perfectly seasoned as well as cooked to perfection. Additionally, they provide a variety of dipping sauce that are flavorful with very little aftertaste. On my next visit, I plan on taking advantage of their dessert options because I have heard from others that they are delicious and worth every calorie.

Tried it for the first time and was so blown away, I wanted to do a u-turn halfway home and order some more! Chicken is juicy and full of flavor. My kid inhaled the bbq wings in record time and my younger son borderline shoved that entire waffle in his mouth — so fluffy and good! I came to try this place out because they have gravy. I’m tired of Whataburger being the only place that has gravy and and Whataburger chicken tenders are not good. This place was actually quite delicious! Chicken was great! Macaroni and cheese was great! Fries were good and they had a good selection of sauces. The Sriracha ranch is delicious! Their slim sauce is excellent as well. However, I’m giving them four stars because I came for gravy, and I wish the gravy was a thicker. It has true potential… Maybe they should just add less water, and I would come here more often for tenders and gravy.

Food was... fine. While I wasn't a huge fan, it's not bad eithet and the price was decent. Desserts looked interesting but we didn't try any. Staff was quite nice and helpful.

Haven't been to slim chickens in awhile ordered a lot of food the okra of course was good mac and cheese was not too good but I just seasoned it up when we got home too much cheese my baby enjoyed her waffles and chicken She said it needed more waffles could stand to have more sides Guess we will go dormant on the place again wasn't horrible but wasn't good needed seasoning on everything

I love this place! Mainly bc their tenders are lightly breaded and my kiddos actually eat them. My problem is we always order their white gravy for dipping and its Always half or less in the container. Why!? I don't get it. Now with Covid-19 we order their Family Meal deals and again the gravy is not FILLED UP. This is getting annoying!! Great Job on the Chicken Tenders 👍❤

Our first time eating here. The drive thru services was fast and great. So far love their food. Thank God the chicken tenders are not salty. The tenders is delicious and the wings are good as well.

Fried pickle tour: The pickles have great flavor, the ranch is perfect. Only points off for very thin breading. The chicken is juicy and seasoned and cooked to perfection. We only got ranch, but there are 17 sauce choices. Maybe next time we'll try something different, but we do love our ranch. The fries are mediocre; not bad, but not great. The decor is a neat mix of country and clean lines. We also fed an adult female and a teen boy for under $20. We'll definitely be back.

First, I love places that have paper towels on the table, so that was one of the first things I noticed. Second, the chicken tender mac and cheese bowl was positively delicious. The fried pickles were perfect. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because my husband said the plain chicken strips were good but not great. We will definitely go back. Oh and I got the pecan cheesecake Mason jar dessert to go and I am super excited to try it!

Went here for dinner with my family of 4. The price is great and the portions are large. The fried pickles were awesome! Thin and crispy with great seasonings. The chicken tenders were good, but the breading was a little soft. I loved the desserts as the come layered in a Mason jar and taste incredible! If you are looking for an affordable dinner for your family that will leave you full and happy, this is the place!

Just rude.. drive thru here is always rude, They rush you and seemed annoyed when you ask questions. Portions have definitely slimmed down.

Prices have gone up, service has gone down. The Hungry Meal used to be $12, it's now $15. On 4 occasions the staff has completely forgotten to put sauces in our bag and we didn't know until we got home. The lids for the drinks don't fit right and always come off causing spills. On top of that, the large cups used to be pretty decent plastic cups you could keep and reuse. Now they're Styrofoam. The experience as a whole is going downhill. We started eating here regularly because Canes raised their prices and their tenders got a LOT smaller. Now Slim Chickens is heading the same route. Doubt we'll be back any time soon.

Food - 3 Stars: The food was over salted but at the least the chicken was not dry. The sauces are good though. Service - 3 Stars - Fairly typical fast food service. A little wait for having not a lot of customer volume. Price - 4 Stars: Fair Price. Overall - Not a replacement for Raising Cane's or Chick-Filet. Would I go back there? Not by first choice but I wouldn't mind.

I was looking for a late snack and foujmd Slim chicken in Katy open until 10 pm. Never are here before but heard a lot of good thi by about their chicken. I ordered a 3 pieces chicken strip meal. Our 1st time ever there was last night. We stopped here before going to the movies. Reagan was friendly when we approached the counter and she gave honest feedback about menu items we asked her opinion about. The food was brought quickly to our table. I ordered the Slim Plate with Mac n Cheese. The chicken was good, not greasy and the Mac n Cheese tasted better than it looked. My fiance really liked the potato salad. I could see us coming back again sometime before going to the movies.

Life-Changing Chicken? Not really; just ok. Well I'll go ahead and compare Slim Chickens to it's direct competition in my opinion which is Cane's. I'll start by mentioning my chicken was dry and missed that fresh-out-of-the-fryer juiciness I'm so used to expect from the competition. I also noticed that the ratio of food served on your plate is much less (chicken is smaller/less fries) compared to it's competition. On the plus side Slim offers a more varied menu which includes salads thus accommodating the fitness buff in the family. Another bright spot for are the different flavorful sauces offered; the garlic sauce is delicious! Finally Slim's tea selection is pretty decent offering both Peach and Raspberry flavors in addition to the usual suspects (sweet/unsweet).

This was my second time coming here, the first time was very good. My second time not so much. This time when i got my food, the chicken wasn't clean. You could see the feathers all over the chicken. It was disgusting. Which meant it wasn't clean before cooking. I don't want to eat chicken like this. The staff was nice and tried to fix it by making me another batch so i appreciated that.

Food was decent. First time here. I park at the park and ride across the street so I see this place everyday. I finally took my kids today and the chicken was decent. We will not be coming back though. The place is dirty. It took us 3 tries to get a table. All the chairs had chicken crumbs. It looks like whoever wipes the table just push it to the edge of the table just to fall off. The tables were sticky to my arms and the floor was also a bit sticky. The men's restroom sink had a clog. The place looked liked 100 people just ate there and nobody cleaned it. We went on a Tuesday lunch at around 12:30 and the place was half empty so it should not be this dirty.

This review is for the newly opened location on Westheimer. I ordered wings without any sauces. The wings were overcooked the meat was like jerky. No flavor at all not even salt. I guess that is why they offer so many sauces, that is where the flavor must be. I was also expecting a crust on the chicken which there was none at all. Literally a chicken deep fried wing plain, plain, plain. No seasoning no crust. Bland is the best word. The fried mushrooms where greasy, couldn’t eat them. I might try Slim Chickens again, now that I realize the goodness must be in the sauces. That is a huge job for a sauce.

Paid $20 for lunch and a dessert jar. The chicken tenders were very small and dried out. The dessert jars were 1/3 of the size they used to be but almost $7 each. (It was good but just very small)

Usually slim chickens is always good, this location may just be a problem. Don't go here on a weekend especially if you want a milkshake or good service. why even sell a milkshake if you "don't have them" and all you can do is give a large drink as consolation after the meal already comes with a drink. I would not expect mcdonald's level service from a place where the food is significantly more expensive is supposed to be better quality. and then to top it off, my coworker found a HAIR in her food! . do better Slim Chickens Katy!

Ordered through Uber eats. Milk shakes were half full, they gave us the tiniest straws so you can't even enjoy the half full shakes. Also paid extra for two additional sauces and of course we didn't get them. Chicken was fresh! Fries.. blah disappointed in today's service.

Extremely deceptive marketing practices. They advertise a free chicken sandwich with the download of their app and creating an account, however, when I showed them my phone they said I had to wait 48 hours for the coupon. The fine print was only on a place card on the table. Food is sub-par, chicken is extremely dry.

Food was good. Restaurant was nasty, not just dirty. Containers holding condiments were sticky had not been cleaned in months. Had mold and brown colored dried liquid. It was really just unbelievable. Makes you wonder what kitchen looks like.

First time ordering from here. Ordered a family meal with fries and mac n cheese sides. Fries were good. Mac n cheese was way too cheesy if that’s possible. We just didn’t care for it. What really upset us is our meal came with a gallon of tea. During the ride home, the cap came off the tea and it spilled all over my trunk. We looked at the cap and it was still intact but had somehow popped off. Filled out survey and asked for a call back and was never called. Way too many restaurants in Katy to deal with this. Once was enough. We won’t be back.

Surprisingly dissatisfied bc we really love Westheimer location. Was told our wait time would be an hour and a half due to their free meal promotion today. So we got our drinks & headed to the car to wait because there were no sitting available both inside & out. The drinks were flat & ice machine was out. Food was ready in about 20 mins or so. Sat down to eat & collectively agreed that the tenders & fries lacked flavor/ seasonings & tasted like cooked in old dirty oil so we left. Sorry, but it left a lasting negative impression. Best part was the ranch, really good. Honey mustard not so much. Bleh :/

The chicken has little to no breading, zero seasoning, and tastes like they throw their food back in the oil with salt on it. Burnt and nasty aftertaste on every bite of food, you have to drown out with their fake Canes sauce. Skip on Slims and hit up Canes or even Layne’s, cuz this ain’t it. I gave two stars cuz the fried okra is actually great, but it’s not called Slim Fried Okras!

I absolutely hate leaving a bad review on my favorite place to eat but because it’s a serious matter when you serve cold food and old food at that . Everything about my meal was cold and the fries were definitely old and had been sitting out for sometime . I called and spoke with manager Robert and he said it could be because of doordash they make their food fresh to order however order was placed at 6:48 pm and arrived at 7:10 per receipt . Nothing per time stamp equates to old stale fries and cold food . I’m so disappointed 😔 and hungry 0/10

I haven’t had this place in 2 years since I was in Lubbock. I thought it was the best. Drove 30 mins from Houston today to eat here. Customer service was top notch, food was hot and fresh and all of it was good except for one thing - the chicken strips. The strips had absolutely ZERO flavor. They were not marinated, had a tough texture and lacked any flavor. The chicken was unusually small (about the size of boneless wings) and was barley breaded. The chicken tasted like store bought chicken that had not been marinated and went straight into a frying pan with vegetable oil. It tasted like tough, overcooked chicken with no seasoning. The fries were good, the toast was good, the sauces were great but the chicken was terrible. I felt like I wasted my money and I won’t be coming back.

I went through drive thru yesterday and they gave me wrong burger and my fries were not fresh with extra seasoning. And I didn't ask for extra season. I just wanted my food right and fresh. I been calling since yesterday and no answer, it says enter remote access code, and they never answered. I'm very upset and not happy, it was my first time there. I'm so disappointed ☹️

It’s a clean place. But there’s no reason that it should have taken 40 mins for me to get my single order of chicken and waffle. The group I was with all got their food and I waited another 30 mins after going up there to ask what was taking so long and I was told it was coming out. I had to get it to go because it was taking so long and then it was cold. Not worth the the overpriced food.

I ordered two mac bowls without chicken from this fast-food chain through their online service. Unfortunately, when my coworker brought our order back to the office, both mac bowls contained chicken, which left me extremely disappointed. I understand mistakes can happen, but it's crucial for restaurants to pay attention to specific dietary requests, especially when ordering online. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves.

Terrible treatment. They refused to give me my online order at the drive thru, I asked if that was necessary for online. It was during heavy rainfall and I had to go inside. Later the manager said they thought I was DoorDash. Terrible customer service. I will never shop here again.

I don’t even know where to start, those wings were terrible, I couldn’t get tell if I was at slim chicken or back in highschool eating the schools wings…… whoever decided to add that Garlic Parmesan on the menu, needs to be investigated. Instantly was spit out. Oooooooo I just got mad again thinking about it again! I can’t even begin to fathom the utter travesty and mockery of the Parmesan garlic chicken wing that I was served. Best thing I had was the sweet tea and I made it myself! Don’t even get me started on whatever the hell yall call that ranch. Never again!

i had i bad experience today on the drive thru, someone took my order and they made me repeat it at the window. The guy from the window asked us the order in a very rude way, like “what you want” i think they were closing but they could’ve said so whenever we were asking for it. the food wasn’t even well prepared because they were so desperate to close. I get that they were closing but why would you take the order in the rudest way possible instead of telling me that y'all are closing? Very bad service, definitely not going back.

Sauce was the only good thing. Chicken was somehow both soggy yet tasted burnt, the sizes of the tenders were pathetic, and they messed up my order, I was supposed to get a fried chicken wrap and I got a spicy grilled chicken wrap which tasted like trash. Potato salad was way too sweet, and the shake was mid. Overall this place was not worth half what I paid for it

Employees are not aware of specials being run, we went for national chicken and waffles day (even shows on the screen in the dining area $6.99) we questioned our charge of regular price $10.99. Cashier had no idea what we were talking about and refused to honor price when asked. We have had issues with Sunday kids meal price as well at this location. If a restaurant is going to offer specials, all employees need to be aware. Food is great, service is terrible.

My husband and I ate at Slim Chicken on Tuesday evening. We each had the 3 piece chicken meal with gravy as our “sauce”. Chicken pieces were very small and tough. But the major problem was we both got sick and had bad stomach pains diarrhea that lasted a couple of days. We are sure it was the gravy that caused the issues. This was our first and last visit to Slims. Agree with other review go to Canes or Laynes chicken for good food. It was extremely cold inside the restaurant.

Hit the drive thru, so we didn't have to wake our infant up to go in. The food was hot and fresh. However, about halfway through my meal , black hair was hanging out on my chicken strip. My husband is bald, and I'm blonde.

went today & was super disappointed at the amount of fried mushrooms i got. this isn’t a normal portion especially since i had to pay an extra $2 for it.

What a joke. $6 for this handful of UNSEASONED OKRA. A rip off for certain. You get a better portion ordering it as a side with a meal. Piled high where???

Extremely small tenders! Asked for them to be tossed in hot sauce. They were not. Ordered a potato salad was given a side of Mac and cheese instead. Bread was overly buttered. Wouldn’t recommend this location
