Opinions de DQ Grill & Chill Kerrville
Service was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed my chicken strips basket. Restaurant was clean and bright. Bathroom was clean (but tiny). Parking was sufficient.
My wife and I went for a little date night to get away from the kids for a couple of hours and decided it had been so long since we had been we forgot that it's only downfall is slower service but at the same time it was excellent for fast food so well worth the wait
The best Dairy queen we have ever visited. We are from out of town and the staff was the best we have ever had..and we go to LOTS of dairy queens!
I was really surprised that they got our food out in a good time. There was only 3 employees working and our food was great. Thanks to the cook and other staff being awesome. Definitely going to be one of our spots to stop when traveling.
We were in this DQ Sunday morning. The employee at the register was very nice and pleasant. He was giving out orders as quickly as possible after being overrun with customers. Also food was good.
Guy at the counter made us feel at home joking, laughing with all the customers. Food was good, ice cream better. Keep up the good work
The young woman that helped us was friendly and patient, my wife had no idea what she wanted. She also brought us our food when it was ready. Clean, friendly, tasty and fast.
Stopped there while I was on my way to California. Staff was friendly. I ordered the taco combo. Tacos were loaded with ground beef but taco shell was soggy. Still ate them since I had already been driving for 10 hours and was hungry.
Friendly and sweet employees. We got a delicious blizzard and parked in this Dairy Queen parking lot to watch the eclipse :)
The drive-thru moved at a good rate. The lady working was very friendly. I received my food in timely manner and everything was there.
Picked up lunch to go for my wife and I. Friendly service, rapid order filled, and reasonably priced. Both meals were terrific and still hot when I got home.
The young lady on the drive thru between 4:10 & 4:30 p.m. did something that I've always wondered why when you get a cone, they just hand you your cone. No napkin. She handed me my cone, with napkins. I didn't have to ask. It's the little things that sometimes mean the most.
The staff at Kerrville Dairy Queen is great! We were in town recently for vacation and needed something to eat for my special needs friend. The staff treated us with lots of kindness and respect. The food and drinks were top-notch as well. Thanks again, DQ!
Jazzy was hands down the best!! She and her team were absolutely fantastic! They were fast and knowledgeable on suggestions and they were so friendly! Shout out to the GM you have an amazing team!!
Amazing food the jalitos burger to die for, perfectly cooked and the service was amazing The worker there named Dewanda was such a sweetheart compared to other Dairy Queen’s I’ve been to this one is the best
What a great restaurant! There were only 2 girls working the counter and cooking and they did an AMAZING job! They were quick and friendly and helpful and did everything with such ease! Just flowing and doing super fantastic! Visiting from Colorado and missing good DQ tacos and nachos, so these girls helped me out. Had to get a Reeses Fluffernutter too! (OMG!) I could not have been more please with the entire experience. The only thing I saw was 1 table had crumbs on it in the dining room. Other than that, it was clean and the trash wasn't full either.
I always go through the drive thru for a late night sweet treat, and let me tell you, the cashier is almost sweeter than the blizzard. If you think otherwise, it’s probably because you were rude.
Good food and nice people!
5 stars because even though the building is in need of updating and this location is frequently understaffed, the employees always seem to be doing their best. Even with impatient and rude customers to deal with, they keep their cool and keep the orders coming out as best they can. I live close by and visit this store fairly regularly with my kids and am impressed by the friendliness and patience of the staff, especially during a rush.
Went through the drive thru this evening and there was the sweetest young man at the window named Charlie. While all of the employees worked as a unit to provide us with great service, Charlie’s kindness and positive attitude really stood out. Keep being awesome, Charlie!
The GM, Bradley, is always such a delight to interact with. He makes the best treats and goes above and beyond to make sure that his customers are satisfied. Hard to find service like this and is very much appreciated, thank you!
Shawna made my night, thank you ma’am you’re an awesome person. I needed that after the day I had.
I made a drive-thru order. It was faster than most DQs I've been to and fresh. I wanted to point out that I accidentally left before getting my card back. I just happened to be stopped at the light nearby when a DQ employee RAN up to me and handed my card to me. That is above and beyond in my opinion.
We got there early. My granddaughters were invited behind counter and allowed to make their own cones. It made their day. Thank You to the Wonderful people at the Sydney Baker Street Location in Kerville Texas. Real People with a Heart . This is Truely Texas at its Best.
5 minutes to close and the drive thru rep was polite, courteous and friendly. No different as if it was the middle of the day. Food was fresh! After a long day at work I couldn’t ask for anything better
I am soo happy our DQs finally have the cherry dipped cones! I ate them alll the time growing up in the 80s lol... Dq is always good.. be it regular foods or icecream, and always has very friendly people behind the counter!
This DQ has the best Nacho Deluxe in Kerrville, Texas. There are 2 DQ's in town, but this one on Sidney Baker is the best The staff is wonderful and smiling and have become even friends over the years. My grandkids love to go for Chocolate Sundae's and they cater to their every request. Great place, great people and great Food.👍❤️😁
We came into the store with a group of 7. The store was completely understaffed. There were 3 people running the store. I felt bad for them. The cashier was obviously new and was having problems locating our food on the screen to place the order. However, the food came quickly and was of good quality. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. They all looked stressed and some orders were made wrong. The staff fixed that quickly.
We stop for a quick something. Let call it childhood craving. Has not been in years so was surprised by the extensive menu including baskets with fried steak fingers and different types of burgers. I had a Blizzard!!LOL the girl at the counter was super nice !
Did a drive-thru order of large Dr Peppers. The lady at the window was terrific. We had the best conversation about the holidays and family. It is an excellent reason for us to return. She made our day!
My family and I are ice cream fanatics and I was raised on dairy Queen. So this is one of our frequent stops when we are looking for delicious ice cream and don't want to drive to our absolute favorite place in San Antonio for a marble slab. I love that they have non-dairy options.
I like that this DQ hasn't been "modernized". It reminds me of when I was little and being able to get a "Dilley Bar". My burger was very good. They just didn't follow my requests correctly. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
Food was good and the restaurant was clean. However the cashier looked pretty annoyed that she had to wait on me. That being said I think there were only two people working at the time so I think this is more of a management issue.
This is a very nice Restaurant with friendly employees and a pleasant experience.
Stopped in for a blizzard and couldn't make up my mind which kind I wanted this time around and the awesome sales clerk suggested a new one for me to try. I followed her recommendation and it was awesome! It was the brownie batter Xtreme blizzard and it is really really good.
Ordered jalitos burger and extra jalitos on the side. All the jalitos were burned and overcooked. The hamburger patty was overcooked as well, making the patty crunchy. Overall, I could not finish the food and only enjoyed the soggy fries with a lot of ketchup. And was the only one in line thru the drive thru at that time and was waiting 14 minutes to get the food
Wife liked her burger and fries, the chicken stripe for me weren't the greatest. Staff was great. The place was clean.
I've always like the Chocolate/ Vanilla twist cones , but sadly no Chocolate at the location I visited the other day . But did have the Vanilla dipped cone , and that was good .
They seem to not make the blizzards here quite as well as other DQ's in texas. The toppings only seem to stay on the top half and then its just plain soft serve on the bottom half.
Staff did not care about their customers who had an order on the board. Didnt get our desert for 45 minutes. Manager was verbably rude to us when we asked for our money back since we didnt get our desert !
Girl at counter took our order for 2 blizzards then helped people behind us. The young man at the drive thru was apparently not busy but didn't fill our order. I went to the bathroom, then my husband went and returned. The people that ordered behind us got their burger and fries before the counter girl finally made our blizzards. Not impressive.
The food and service was great! My problem was their bathrooms. They smell like there is a problem and they are old and nasty. The restaurant was clean. I just can't get past the dirty restrooms. I know they remodeled the restaurant but they didn't touch the bathrooms.
Went in for a Blizzard that eventually got to me after 15 minutes. It was good though.
This Dairy Queen was understaffed during our visit. We awaited 15-20 minutes for our order. We felt bad for the workers, because there were only 3 people for what seemed like 20 people.
The lady that took my order was as friendly, as a kick to the groin. Hair in my fried jalapenos. Upside blizzards are still good.
I’ve been sitting in the drive through line for 25 minutes now, with one car in front of me. I cannot fathom what is going on in this place. I’m going to order a birthday cake at the window, because I’ll be a full year older before I get my mini Oreo blizzard
Old stale fries. 2 days in a row. Fries taste like saved from day before then heated in the microwave and sat ten minutes before giving to me. Burger was ok. Less then warm but tasty ok.
DoorDash did not deliver my drink, said it wasn’t given to her at pick up. DQ won’t answer the phone. So I paid for a product that was not delivered to me. I also tipped the door dash. Not happy with the outcome.
If not for Ariana, I wouldn't come here. But I support my friends. Outdated, and the rest of the staff doesn't seem to get the concept of serving hot and fresh food. New management is required.
update, got acknowledged as soon as I walked through the door and had the order ready. Waiting to see if this is an uptrend. Will bump up to 2 stars and wait and see. I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant than the Dairy Queen on Sidney Baker in Kerrville. I always enjoy being ignored for the first 5 to10 mins when I walk in, that is very special. When you call them and they say your order is ready and when you arrive it is not. They inform you that it will be ready in about 10 minutes and to come back. When you arrive the second time after 20 minutes and your order is still not ready, well you see where I'm going with this. If it looks like a fish and smells like a fish then guess what.😝 update, got acknowledged as soon as I walked through the door and had the order ready. Waiting to see if this is an uptrend. Will bump up to 2 stars and wait and see.
Awful experience. Woman running the cashier was clearly not having a good time, and apparently likes to take it out on the customers. I can deal with attitude but don’t like to pay $7+ for two blizzards that are blatantly absent of ingredients and flavor.
Maybe I come off as someone who walks around with a sense of entitlement and that's possible. But I feel like if you're going to go to even a fast food restaurant and pay $10 for a burger fries and a Coke that you should at least get good service, at the minimum thank you would be nice. tonight at dairy Queen I didn't get any of that. Pulled up to order and I couldn't understand a word the young lady was saying, with no attempt to correct her unclear communication as I asked her four times if she was talking to me. There were four cars in front of me for a whopping 20 wait. Was handed my food by the young lady, not a thank you or anything.... I know I'm really bummed LOL but I won't be back. that's just the kind of stuff that does not bring repeat business thank you. Maybe you like dairy Queen maybe it's always been that way there who knows I won't find out
Very old building. The place smelled liked burger grease and was a bit smoky. The place was empty when we went in and there was non one in the drive thru and it still took 25 minutes to get our order. Food was ok except the fries that seemed like they were fried sometime yesterday and in the taco salad we ordered the refried beans where so dried out it was like the crust of really stale bread.
Slow service and customer service isn't great. They're just in a bad mood.
Poor service and they charge extra dressing for salad even though one dressing is small and not enough
Went through the drive thru for two cheeseburgers around 3:30 on a Friday. The employee struggled to repeat the order correctly despite multiple attempts. When she read it back before giving me the total I corrected her again and she said she would correct the order, I then watched her hand the bag back to the kitchen for corrections. Received the food but told her we still needed one of our drinks, it took over 5 minutes for her to get a Diet Coke. Checked one burger before leaving and it was correct. Got back on the road only to find the other burger was missing cheese, ketchup, lettuce, and mustard. The also gave us fries that were less than half full. Completely disappointed and won’t be back.
I won’t be returning to this Dairy Queen anytime soon. The service is slower than a brain freeze in January. They consistently get orders wrong, and instead of apologizing, they just ask, "Is this okay?" and expect you to accept it. This has happened the last three times we’ve gone for ice cream. We'll be giving them a long break to see if they can swap out some staff.
The food and Ice Cream is good, but you’re better off going to the DQ on Junction Hwy, the wait time just isn’t work your money or gas if you’re planning to go through the Drive-Thru.
This place needs new management .you call to order and they tell you to wait and never come back to the call. I cant give you a 0 but i would . 100% disappointment.
The girl at the drive thru has the worst attitude... Same girl - same attitude- same reason I quit going to this location a year ago... The other location has better food & friendly employees .. Its pretty bad when you don't even want to go to a restaurant because of continous terrible service & they continue to keep the same bad employees even if it costs them lots of customers..
If I could give this place negative rate I would! Walked in did not even acknowledge us until after 10 min I order a grill chicken sandwich and the chicken was so raw it was gross . She did not remade it for me and got an attitude towards me
we just drove 500 miles and looking for a place to eat and relax before last leg to san antonio. Every table needed bussed and the trash was overflowing. How hard is it to wipe off a table
Haven been to a dq in almost 10 years And I Remember why now. I ordered a cheese burger with onion rings. Got burger and bun was hard and stale. Will not be back
Staff had no idea how to process orders. We ordered (3) blizzards. After about ten minutes I received the first, the second about ten minutes after the first and we ask for our money back for the third.
All the times we’ve been there they’re just plain rude and don’t care about your order. I’d recommend to go to the one on junction if you want something that’s actually good.
Poorest service ever. There were orders turned in for five people. Food was served for only four. My salad was supposed to come with saltine crackers. I never got them. You are given a small portion of ice and that's all you get. I doubt I will recommend this eatery to others or ever go back.
Food was cold, asked for a number 1 no mustard add mayo. Open the burger no mayo so I gave it back they gave me the same burger back and slopped a glob of mayo on it. Got home it was messy I bit into it and tasted a glob of mustard. Fries were old and not hot. I only live 2 minutes away. Will never return
The service was awful. We went in to get some IceCream and it took forever. The person helping us came and asked us what we ordered again more than once and messed up one of our orders although he/she wrote it down. One of the blizzards was half of what she ordered and the rest plain IceCream. The IceCream tasted ok but that was about the only nice thing.
They don’t allow vegetables (lettuce, tomato) on the kids burger. I’ve order the kids burger meal for my daughter many many times on multiple other cities and never had this issue.
They had no sweet tea, the root beer was all syrupy the HiC was literally water. I ended up not even getting my drinks i paid for nor did they offer to fix them either. I will not return to this location
If I could give ZERO stars I would. Taco meat hard, and horrible, brought it back to be remade and was told the meat is on the bottom? Ok, so??! Bun old for the burger I ordered , fell apart. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE
I recommend not comein there service is shitty slow takes forever to get food
Three employees inside. Two working and what appeared to be the person in charge attempting to look busy, while doing nothing. The inside was closed and I was the third car in line. It time an excruciatingly long time. This is my last time at this DQ.
Food was good, but as we were eating. The cook walks by to go to the restroom. Has her apron on and go uses the redtroom and then goes right back to cook. Nasty habit and very unsanitary.
Rude and unfriendly. Never answered drive thru. When I drove to window and asked if the drive thru was broken she replied..."no..I just didnt answer it." She waited on us like we were an inconvenience and staired me down the rest of the time we were there. Wont go back to that location. I'll go to the fancier one on the other side of town for now on.
Excruciating wait. Went to the inside counter on a Saturday evening just about 6PM. Ordered 2 items a blizard and a small cone. The place was not busy, only one person ahead of me and 2 tables occupied. It took the staff there over 40 minutes to make my simple order. In the mean time 3 people who came in 10 minutes after me got their order including hot food. We had been avoiding this DQ for months due to glacial service and frankly almost surly staff. I stopped this time just to get a small order instead of going across town to the other DQ because that one does drive through only and I thought 2 ice cream items would be silly. No longer going to bother going to this establishment at all.
Went through Drive thru my husband ordered nachos and tacos. I ordered chicken basket and sweet tea . Well the chips was not crunchy they was soggy so was the tacos . The gravy looked as it had been reheat because it had a skim on it and lumpy the bread didn't have the butter flavoring on it and was burnt the sweet tea didn't taste like tea at all it left a dirty taste and left a greasy film taste in my mouth . I've been here before food was good but today not good .
We were passing through on our way home. We went through the drive thru and we waited for a few minutes and then cashier asked us for our order. We then proceed to tell her and she stops us mid sentence and says hold on. We repeated our order like 3 times and when we got to window she then asked us what our drinks were after we had told her 3 times prior. Then we get our food and my husbands dude sandwich was RAW. He took one bite and it was slimy. We have always loved Dairy Queen. But we will NEVER AGAIN stop in Kerrville Texas for food. It was our first and last time.
In town for a weekend tournament. My wife waited 30 minutes for an ice cream treat on a busy Saturday, she warned me not to go back but I love DQ! Who doesn’t ? Then today Sunday I went back for meals. I purchased 7 meals total about $45 worth of food. The window clerk asked me to park in front and they'd bring it out to me. I wait another 40 minutes for my fast food, never got it. The workers had half the order in a bag under a food warmer. I did not want to lose my temper and no one would talk to me at the register. I walked into the kitchen, to demand a refund. And what do I see? The main cashier, a male, handling trash one minute. I was told there was a shift change and that's why my order was taking long, I explained I no longer wanted the food and just wanted the cash back. Cashier throws trash away, grabs another persons order and then gives me me refund. Think about that. Hands in gloves, handles trash, handles food, then handles money. This staff was absolutely Overwhelmed, ownership needs to review management and staff, consider either hiring more personnel or paying higher wages to attract decent employees. The young kids in the kitchen seem like nice kids but the cashier/manager and also the window clerk need help. The kitchen was so gross and dirty with trash and food everywhere. Have some pride ownership, you can do better. You're right across from that nice Antler Stadium, and on a main strip of little Kerrville. It's a money maker. Pay your people and get them some help. Other than that, took my money and drove down to Mickey D's, clean restaurant, food was good, and the employees seemed way happier! Probably because there was like 8-9 employees there instead of 3-4.
Went to this location looking for a blizzard, felt the staff was a bit rude, then my blizzard which was a royal cheesecake had only 2 small pieces of strawberries, and hardly any of the glaze / cheesecake bites. I got a medium and the balance was just off.
Very slow, I ordered 3 icecreams and they had us waiting longer than 30 mins in the drive thru. The person taking our order on the intercom sounded miserable and very sluggish. The whole establishment is slow and not helpful.
The food is cold. My icecream cone had hot chocolate running down it. They did not wait for it to cool off before handing it to me and it made a huge mess. The taco shells for old and cold. My husband hamburger and fries were also cold. We will not be returning to this Dairy Queen ever again.
I was so dissatisfied. I was standing waiting to order no one in front of me and someone in the dining area asked for the tv channel to be changed and instead of asking me for my order the server went and looked for the channel they wanted. I finally was asked for my order after she went and helped for the window order.. I waited 25 minutes when I was1of 3 people in the dining area but they were working on ice cream and shake orders and so I got in line and I could see my order in the pick up window and the lady in front of me ordered ice cream and instead of asking me if she could help me she went and started making more shakes and ice cream orders and ignored me. I finally asked for my order that had been sitting there and she ignored me again and the other server got it for me. I will never go back and I will never recommend that place. I know I don't count for anything just want to put my experience out there😡
Today june 15 2020 at 4: 30pm who ever the lady was taking orders over the intercom was very rude. She was clearly not having a good day and was very unprofessional on the intercom and was rushing me. i did not hesitate to wait and left. I understand it must be difficult working at fast food, but please do not yell at your customers over the intercom. Please and thank you be blessed.
This is the slowest most unorganized mismanaged Dairy Queen I've ever been to. It took 20 minutes to get one blizzard and one milkshake and they got my order wrong after all that and I had to wait even longer for them to correct it. . One woman walked out without getting her order.
Terrible experience. First off I ordered a chicken strip basket and taco, waited 30 minutes when at the time there was only 2 other people in the place both whom already had their food. I figured it may have been because they had to make fresh, nope the cook was just hanging around chatting instead of cooking until she saw me staring at her. Next when my food was finally ready the woman who brought it to me slammed it on my table and said "this is yours" and not only that but the chicken strips were burnt, the taco shell stale, and the fries cold, I mean how do you mess up everything!? Finally for my "dessert" i asked for a small mocha Moolatte they gave me a chocolate shake and when i corrected the order they gave me attitude and said "that is a moolatte". People it looks like a shake and tastes like a shake so its a shake, but at this point i was so frustrated by everything on top of already driving 2 hours with 2 more to go that i just took it and left. Again very terrible do not recommend going to this one find another one!
Drink surface had melted ice cream and chocolate on bottom when received by employee. Got on my shirt and all on my hands while driving. Was supposed to have whipped cream but didn't. Employee ya credit like they would have rather been anywhere but there and wished the customers were anywhere but there.
Manager refused to honor the price listed on the drive through menu even after admitting it was their mistake. I told him it was false advertisement and I would report him to the corporate office. He was cocky & said go ahead. I will drive an extra 15 minutes to go to the Junction Hwy location.
The employees here look and act like they don't want to be working, but I'm sure they want that paycheck🤷♂️. Besides the poor customer service we got : - Cold fries - Cold hamburger patty - They never have me the sundae that came with my meal🤦♂️ I'm sure this location and all the surrounding DQ locations are still owned by the Richardson family....... they should really get on there restaurants if they care! If you don't want to work than stay home, it's that simple!
Before I start, I LOVED this place. Me and my grandparents have been coming here for the dipped cones and basket meals since I was a young man ( about 20+ years ) and the only reason I'm leaving this review is because I know, from past experiences, that they can do better. About 3 days ago after a drive my grandparents wanted to get their usual stuff from this place. We pull in with literally one or two cars there. I'm assuming they were the employees cars. We placed our order with no problems and pulled forward. We sat in the drive through after paying for 25-30 min. Once we got home, all of our food was terrible. My grandma's basket fries were stale, just like her steak fingers. My burgers veggies were the only thing on it even remotely fresh. Both the patty and bun were stale and old. The bun was so stale, that after 2 bites it fell apart from being dried out. I'm sad to say that we will not be returning. We had a good run DQ.
The only place in town I know where you can wait 20 minutes or more and still get cold food. The only thing consistent about this Dairy Queen is the slow service and mediocre food. I had actually stopped going to this location for several years now but tried it today (1/1/24) as it was one of the few places open. Nope, still disappointing.
Could not enjoy my meal The hamburger was nasty The patty was cold burnt and the chesse tasted nasty little vegetables and the onion rings were cold super fried dried only thing was good was the sweet tea I trashed my order . There were gnats flying all over the place . The service was not friendly or welcoming .This place in need of a deep cleaning and new management.Don’t waste your time or money at this place. I left disappointed.
Ordered the steak fingers, oil was bad, left a bad taste and gave me stomach cramps and nausea, called them but didn't seemed to concerned, will not go back.
Me and my friend ordered crispy chicken salad, chicken sandwich. I don’t eat bacon, 🥓 but they added bacon strips in it and my friend trashed the chicken sandwich right after he had a bite of it, it was that disgusting 🤢. It was stinking, the tomato and sandwich tasted very unusual and sour. We could not go in and return them bc we were traveling! Totally hated the food. It is not fresh and old stock. Not at all worth the money we spent! Try mc’d that was really good!
We came on an evening where there were only two cars in front of us at the drive-thru and two tables of people in their lobby! We ended up waiting for easily a half hour in the drive-thru line! When we finally got to the window they had completely forgotten our order and we had to restate to them so that they could begin. We ordered three blizzards. Two of the blizzards being Eminem with extra m&Ms and Oreo with extra Oreo. The line cook was eating and ingredients off of the line. You get a pretty good view of the kitchen if you pull up a little further. Hands did not have gloves and were touching other people's food and eating off of other people's food. The two young ladies that were in the kitchen area preparing ice cream and frozen treats were incredibly slow and when we received our blizzards our cups were barely what you would consider the portion size that we ordered. The large blizzards definitely didn't have a large blizzard amount of ice cream in them. The extra ingredients that we paid for we're not added. The bottom of our blizzards were just white soft serve and there was even a huge bubble gap in one of our blizzards which was very disappointing. Which means we got even less ice cream then we thought we had at first glance. This is our second visit with this kind of experience. We really love a good trip to dairy Queen and super super hope that things improve there the next time we visit! This time, unfortunately, really upset me. dairy Queen is delicious anyways! Maybe find another location!
Only received one of our ice cream treats and waited 25 minutes before going up to ask about our blizzard. Had to stand at the counter to wait an additional 10 minutes trying to ask if it was being made, only to have a local come in, one of the girls in the back came out to the dining area to hug him and ask him what he wanted and take the time to catch up while I still stood at the counter. He stepped up to the counter and put in his order before acting surprised I was also standing there. Girl had the audacity to sarcastically tell me to "have a blessed day". Second woman also missing a blizzard and having to wait a ridiculous amount of time, obviously irritated.
