A Brown’s burger is the standard for all burgers. When I have a hankering for a burger, anything less than a Brown’s burger simply WILL NOT do. So many people have negative opinions about when Brown’s is open or closed, and I’ll admit, it is upsetting to find that they’re closed…but at the same time, it’s ran by 2 people. 2 people only. Yet day in and day out they spend their time serving the people of Kerrville consistently AMAZING burgers…God forbid they have a life and family outside of the establishment. I pray I never witness the day when Browns closes down for good…I have always loved Browns and will continue to love Browns until I’m 6 feet deep. There just simply is no other.

This falls in the category of the other five star burgers I've covered before. Got the double jumbo cheeseburger as it comes. Order it at the window and have the food in your hands within 5 minutes. Super sweet service with a smile. I could tell the minute the styrofoam carton hit my hand that this was one big hot Burger. Not too dry and not too wet. Good amount of mustard on that bottom bun, and Mayo on the top one. Buns toasted with a nice little brown ring on the top and flattened just a wee bit, but that makes it easier to handle and every bite more about what's on the inside of the burger versus the doughy heaviness of a thick bready bun. Meat was thick, juicy, plentiful, and cooked to perfection, on the well done side, but encased and a flavorful well seared outside. Yes, this was a complete two-hander. The price was too good to be true, about $14 for this massive burger, and a side of fantastic sweet potato fries. I could barely finish the burger. It was so good I felt like rolling down my window and wave the burger at someone and ask if they've ever had one of these. This is one of those burgers that you want to tell people about. Go try it.

Excellent burgers and some of the best fried pickles I’ve ever had. Very fairly priced compared to other places and the folks are nice. Local business, seems to be family owned family ran, doesn’t get much better in my opinion. Would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a delicious quick burger for lunch

A down home local stand for more than 60 years, fresh, hot, made to order delights such as ground beef hamburgers, sized to order- SM to Jumbo Double, choice of fixings, cheeses and a vast assortment of mouth watering favs! Try a fish burger, chicken sandwich, steak burger- mm mm good!! Brown's is a no nonsense drive in, order, wait and dig in- just a few booths to sit outside. All credit cards and cash are happily accepted. No public restroom-- but--- the food is a local tradition in Kerrville and is definitely a must to check out. Excellent prices, great food, great food (YES!), and made to order with a smile! These are a few items on the menu- ground beef hamburgers, chicken fingers, homemade potato chips, fries, jalapeno poppers, assorted fixings such as mushrooms, onions and all the goodies you need to enjoy a delicious homemade different change of pace. The food is delicious and if compared to McD's, Sonic or any other fast food joint, the prices are much lower and the food is not some processed junk. If you dare- try the Jumbo double Hamburg all the way- pick up a cold can of pop, sit in one of the booths or enjoy in your vehicle or take it go and head over to Louise Hays Park and indulge in some good ol' honest fast food made the way you like. Best burgers in all of Texas. Family owned and operated, the family that runs this place is fantastic! They put as much care into their customers experience as they do cooking their delicious burgers! So many options for a small burger joint. You can NOT go wrong eating at Browns! If you're a Kerrville resident, or just visiting the Hill Country, I guarantee you Browns will quickly become your new favorite place to grab a burger! Jalapeno Sourdough burger is my all time favorite.. try it yourself and you won't be disappointed!

the burger I had with the jalapeño bun was very very good and the onion rings were fantastic. my wife's chicken sandwich was good too. I will be going back to this burger joint

Had high expectations but wasn't impressed. It's a good quality burger, but it's nothing unique. Fries was bland, drink was rather warm, and theres no trash can or bathroom. Preferred the place next door called Classics Burger for both taste and service.
