Opinions de Front Street Tavern Kingston
Very nice restaurant. Delicious food. The brussel sprouts were very good, but had a little too much sauce for my liking. We had great service.
This was my first time in Kingston, NY and I have to say it will not be my last! What is not to love about a quaint colonial town packed with great restaurants. Front Street Tavern is the top of that list as well. The menu is really interesting and filled with interesting and delicious sounding twists on classics as well as plenty of classics for the less adventurous. The beer list is small, but each beer is top notch so all good. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Kingston.
I love the Front Street Tavern. The new owners are so nice and fun. The food is delicious, and the staff is super nice. It's my favorite place to hang out and enjoy a night by myself at the bar or hanging out with friends.
Waiters are very kind and enthusiastic. Food was amazing, and good for the price. The atmosphere has a pleasant tavern vibe, as the name implies. The steak I had was very soft and juicy, one of the best i had in a while. Overall a great place to spend an evening.
Server was young and distracted and the deviled eggs could have been seasoned better, but overall it was a good experience. The food is pretty good. I had the schnitzel.
If you have not visited, it’s a must! Dillon, Kat, and Joey are the best. Their attentiveness and enthusiasm is second to none. Their food and atmosphere are amazing!
I took my parents out to dinner and all three of us had amazing meals. I had the shepherd's pie, my mother had the duck, and my stepfather had the schnitzel. If all three dishes were stunning.
The rooftop seating was a great experience! We were able to bring our dog, who was well tended too. The schnitzel and faroe were both amazing!
What a fun place to get together with friends! The rooftop bar and dining area is a definitely the way to go on a summer evening! Giles, our server went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience! We had an array of item on the menu to choose from and everyone was happy with their choices. Definitely the place to be in Kingston!
My boys and I have been there twice and sat at the bar. The food was good and the drinks cold. But this month we had a party there and they did a fantastic job. From the staff meeting all our needs to the food. The Guido Family has always taken care of us weather it's a night out with lived ones or a gathering for work, or just sitting at the bar for a drink.
What an amazing staff, such great food and good atmosphere. I never leave reviews but truly the bartender who was our server made us have the best night! Everyone was so kind and the food was delicious! Will be making this place a new stop for years to come.
Took dad here for his pre 90th birthday. Table of five. We asked for a quiet corner to make it easier for the birthday celebrant to hear - they set us up perfectly. Our server, Angelina, was attentive but not hovering - she allowed us time to catch up, have beverages and apps, and take our time with dinner. She was right there when we needed her. Food was good - calamari, mussels, salads, ravioli, pasta and such. Good draft beer, good cocktails. It was a good evening. We'll be back.
Atmosphere, food, and server all were amazing. Did drinks on rooftop and candlelit dinner downstairs. Rooftop menu is different than downstairs, mainly cold foods (great for when having cocktails). The rooftop was beautiful, but so was the restaurant! I didn’t realize how big it was downstairs until they seated us in the back... WOW! And our dinner waiter/server Jalani was absolutely AMAZING!! He really made the difference for us. The best service I had in a long long time. And when we return we will certainly be asking for him! We took my (just turned) 4 month old and it was a welcoming atmosphere even for the baby, which I worried about at first. Jalani, the server, is also amazing with children as well. Just a good time!
Went with friends from NYC and had a great time. Delicious food, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend and will be back.
I was so pleased with my experience! Went for lunch with my sister, we both have dietary issues and they were able to accommodate both of us! It was a beautifully warm day so we enjoyed rooftop dining !!
Held a Surprise 80th Birthday Party for my Mom. Staff made the party an amazing success!!! Guests raved about the food. It was absolutely delicious!!! Service was Phenomenal!!!
This place is great! I was in Kingston for the weekend and came here twice. The vibe is great and the food was really good. The bartender, Cat, was a gem. She provided great service and also gave me some really good suggestions of things to do in the area. If you are visiting Kingston you should check this place out. It's well worth it!
Everything was fantastic, absolutely worth every penny. The attention given was great, the food was great (steak perfect, schnitzel amazing...) the mixed drink (mule asked for a slight modification of a splash of cranberry and got it easily). I absolutely recommend after a long dark few years of subpar dining. Five stars for sure! Will be back to taste what else they cook up!
The food was amazing and came out so much faster than I'm used to. Steak was cooked exactly as I wanted and wasn't over salted like other places. Quiet atmosphere with smiling people working there. My wife absolutely loved her schnitzel, we've never had it so well prepared!
I recently had my 50th Birthday party here and it was beyond fabulous! Every aspect of the restaurant from the food and the staff made all of my 40+ guests have a night to remember for years to come! I highly recommend booking Front St for your next party or celebration, the best of the best! Thank you for my fabulous 50th!
Very serene atmosphere, friendly and professional staffs. Food was absolutely delicious and delivery was very timely. Definitely can't wait to go back again.
The experience was amazing!! Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with courtesy and warmth! We had made a reservation. We were seated promptly. The first impressions were remarkable. One of the Managers wore an infectiously beautiful smile and I had to comment on it. The ambience was cozy and classy. The food was Excellent! We had schnitzel-yummy! Fish and chips-- the batter was light and flaky, and delicious! Fried chicken basket-- was so tasty, that we are thinking that it was the best fried chicken we ever had. We also had the crab cake and the onion rings for appetizer, omg --amazing crunch and flavor! The crab cake was dense and absolutely delicious! Our Server, Jordan, as on point. She was personable, knowledgeable of the foods and she was efficient!! Great experience, we will return!
This place has a classic American tavern feel. There is bar seating and table seating. There are a couple of sections (a big back section which is where our group of 11 was seated). Food was delicious and they had a couple of options - bar snacks, appetizers, salads/soup, mains. The price of main entrees run from $20-$30. Service was also great.
Good was delicious. Ordered wagu beef hamburger. I was one of our favorites! Meat was perfectly cooked yet so juicy! Overall very nice experience. Recommend 100%!
The people who work at front street is what makes it core to Kingston - whether you’re sitting at the bar hanging out with Kat or Joey or at a table the staff ensures you’re taken care of. Can’t go wrong with the smash burger, bang bang shrimp or pasta dishes and they are always creating new amazing cocktails to go along with their core menu.
I enjoyed a warm Friday evening here on the rooftop. The food was delicious with great portions, drinks were good, and the atmosphere was enjoyable!
Excellent food and service. The rooftop area was very nice, with shade and fans. My lobster roll was delicious. And three of our party ordered burgers, they all came exactly as requested and were also very tasty.
Went to Front Street twice during our wedding weekend. First for lunch on Friday, and then they were nice enough to host us for our after party. The entire staff was incredibly kind and friendly, and you felt the hospitality the entire time. Not to mention the food is delicious, with great beers on tap. Perfect place to grab a bite in downtown Kingston.
My wife and I had dinner here on Jan 7th. The onion soup was amazing, and the Schnitzel was great. Our server was very attentive. We will definitely be going back.
One of the best restaurants I've eaten in in the area. Food was yummy, not too salty. Portions were very generous. The waitress was super attentive and sweet. Clean, nice room, food came out pretty fast for Upstate. It was a great experience. 1 thing I think they should change is not to put the condiments on the fried calamari. It was soaked and too sweet. Need to be in on the side. Also all the desert items are chocolate or cheese cake. Add something like fruit pie or regular cake
My party of two enjoyed the clam chowder, schnitzel, and a smash burger. Excellent food, all fresh and prepared with care - highly recommend!
We stopped off here on the way back from the Catskills. The Double Smash Burger was phenomenal. Good cold beers on tap as well. I’d go back and get it again (and again).
We decided to go out to dinner in the last minute and picked the restaurant at random. It was a nice surprise and the food was good. I had the German scitzal and my wife had salmon. They had an option to dine on the rooftop terrace or inside, we decided to stay inside.
Outstanding introduction to a new Sunday brunch in town. Avocado Toast, Eggs Benedict and an Omelet stuffed with asparagus and goat cheese, all absolutely delicious. Add a tasty Bloody Mary or two and you’re golden. We will definitely be back. And a big shout out to one of the best bartenders this side of the Mississippi…..You’re the cat’s Kat!
We celebrated with friends for their anniversary. We had a wonderful time with dinner and drinks, the service was amazing. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
Food and staff here is amazing! The grilled octopus was insanely good, so tender with the perfect char. The smash burger is my absolute favorite! The vibe was great, and the staff were super friendly. If you’re into great food done right, this place is a must. Perfect spot to host parties!
Been here a few times already and the food and service has been excellent but our last trip was on New Year's Eve and we didn't have a reservation. We actually had a reservation somewhere else but there were some issues and we were left looking for a place to go. The good people at Front Street Tavern moved some things around and got us seated almost immediately despite being very busy. It was very appreciated and we will definitely be returning.

Rating: ~3.5 - 4 / 5
We had our night before party/rehearsal dinner here in July, and the back party room was the perfect spot! It had its own private bar with servers, twinkle lights wrapped around the room, plenty of intimate tables for all our guests, and a great buffet set up in the middle of the room providing a good flow for migrating conversations. We also got to choose our own menu which was excellent, everyone said the food was so good! Thanks again guys! ✨
Really cool spot with an awesome rooftop bar. The drinks were excellent and unique. I know it's a bit laughable but the fries were excellent, they really stood out. Bang bang shrimp were good too, although personally, would not get them again. The bartender was attentive and personable. Overall a great place
Stopped into Front Street Tavern for a late meal and was surprised to see schnitzel on the menu—not what you’d expect, but it was very good and super filling. Fresh mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes. It’s a nice local spot, especially if you’re looking for something casual and easygoing later in the evening. Everyone was friendly, and getting a table was no problem at all.
I absolutely love this place, whether at the bar with Joey or kat or in the dining area with the friendly staff. Happy with the improvements to the menu, the food quality and presentation is very consistent with a very delicate and delicious touch. Roof top is not yet open but it happen right on time because the food just got that much better! The owners are so nice and personable. A must try!! The pictures do not do justice!!
Great place for a cute date in historic uptown Kingston! Got a nice booth by the bar, cool atmosphere, and great drinks. We really enjoyed the food too! The Calamari was super delicious and well seasoned, served with some tasty marinara. The NY strip was perfectly temped served with a delicous chimichurri, fingerling potatos, and broccoli rabe. My date had the Lobster Fettucini, which was fantastic and had a generous ammout of lobster. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the new england clam chowder, when I think new england I think creamy while this was served more like a white new york style (loose). Drinks were really good too. Some well crafted coctails, my date had the lavender lemonade and loved it and I had a nice paper plane. Capped off the night with an espresso with just a touch of sambuca, which really rounded things off well. Our bartender/server Joseph was also super personable and attentive, and made the whole experience really memorable. 10/10 would dine again.
Wonderful everything! The menu was creative but with new spins on comfort food like chicken Parmesan egg rolls that were delicious! For dinner, I had the lobster pasta. It was the first time I’ve ever had enough lobster to have a bite of meat with each pasta. Wow! Nothing was too salty and everything was flavored well. I will be returning!
Actually 5 isn’t high enough! What can I say? Food? Excellent! Service? Excellent! Decor/Vibe? Excellent! We were visiting some friends in the area and decided to have lunch at the Tavern. We were greeted and seated by a very kind and personable gentleman. He was super accommodating! The bar had a great selection of juices and cocktails. I actually had a coffee, which was brewed fresh just for us and was delicious. Calamari? A hit! You also can’t go wrong with the truffle fries. We enjoyed a unique appetizer, Sesame Cauliflower Bites. Pretty tasty. The entree selection was great. I had the grilled chicken and avocado sandwich, my friends and hubby had the grilled cheese with tomato soup special. Very good all around. Special shout out to Jordan, our server. Probably one of the most accommodating, helpful, articulate servers I’ve ever had! She even helped with a quick pic of some of the other food we enjoyed before placing it on the table. Thank you again! Pricing was very reasonable also, which can be tricky in this day and age. The bathrooms were immaculate and smelled great. Anyways… when you’re in Kingston or anywhere within 2 hours of this small charming town, make your way to the Tavern! It’s worth every moment!
Absolutely 💯 epic experience. Rooftop dining area was beautiful and the ambiance was relaxing. The food was simply perfect in every way. It's a bit expensive but well worth it for the quality and portion sizes. Our waiter was attentive and helpful but not overbearing. The bartender was fun and helpful as well and she made my wife a great margarita. 🍹 Even the host was a pleasure when getting seated. Got the impression that the staff enjoy being there and working with one another, over all a very welcoming experience. Will certainly be back again. No pressure that we stayed pretty late. In fact, we felt more than welcome to hang out after they had closed and were cleaning up. Highly recommend if your in town, or even if your passing by the thruway exit 19, it's only a few minutes off the highway! A++
Restaurant start system I like to rate restaurants using a “7 stars” system. Each bullet point being pass or fail. The items we rate them on are: 1. Ambiance/decor 2. Food Presentation 3. Taste 4. Service 5. Price 6. Menu 7. Cleanliness This place passed all 7 marks! We went for my birthday and sat on the rooftop at sunset which is beautiful and lively. Also very accommodating for families (we had our 3 month old son with us). Everyone from the staff to the people we sat next to were friendly, the food came out quickly, the drinks were great. I got the goat cheese and beet salad, my husband got the chicken and waffles. We also got the tomato basil mozzarella bread as an appetizer. Wonderful spot with clean bathrooms and wonderful staff. We got an appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 drinks and the bill came to $80 something dollars before tip. Highly recommend!
Had a "celebration of life" meal here with 14 people. Katrina and the rest of the staff made the whole group feel welcome. Service was top notch and the food was great. The lobster Mac and cheese was probably the biggest portion I have ever seen. They also cut a cake for us that we provided. Very classy move. I will definitely be back. Totally recommend this place.
Steak was great. Ambience nice too!
My son and I ate here two nights in a row while in Kingston. He loved the chicken tenders and I thought my food was OK for the price. I did find that none of my entries or appetizers looked like any of photos on Google of the website so there may have been a change in chef at some point.
Stood at bar for a quick drink and appetizers. Was asked a few times by attentive hostess if I was being helped, bartender took my order as soon as she was done with getting drinks for a full bar. Food was tasty but lacking just a bit in crunch.(bang bang shrimp). Bartender topped off my drink and offered to put in to go cup (non -alcoholic). Great Service ,Will visit again.
It's under new management and so far so good. Great food and beer selection. I'd like to suggest when ordering a non-alcoholic drink such as an Arnold Palmer it should be served in a pint glass. We were there for lunch in the middle of the week and they were well staffed.
Good food upon seeing the menu my friend and I thought it was a bit pricey. But once we got the food we understood the quality was good but the quantity of food was huge. My friend had the Shepards pie which was very good and an absolute ridiculous amount of food. I had the kobe beef burger which was tasty I ordered it medium well it may have been closer to well done which caused it to be a little dry. But the burger was still a delicious blend of beef and I would still order it again. The French fries were also very well made and they deserve a lot of credit for them. The unsweetened iced tea was also very good quality and very tasty.
The food was disappointing. We ordered the Sesame Cauliflower Bites as an appetizer. Basically cooked cauliflower smothered with a sweet sauce with some sesame seeds thrown on top. The menu said, "panko-breaded", but no panko was detected. The Nachos were mediocre at best - the queso seemed to be Velveeta and the guacamole was some sort of flavorless mush. The pasta for the kids was basic macaroni, one with a basic cheese sauce, the other a basic red sauce. I guess that was okay for the kids. The winning dish was a green salad with roast pineapple and blueberries. Actually, not bad. The most redeeming quality of the restaurant is the rooftop dining, which seemed quite popular on this unusually pleasant spring evening. Great view of the sunset over the Catskills.
It was an extremely busy day, so I found the Front Street Tavern. I sat at the bar, and the environment was good; the bartender was very responsive. She suggested the Bang Bang Shrimp. I selected one of their specials, sword fish with asparagus. They had no dark beers, which wasn't great. I got it . IPAs are popular, but get some stouts or porters!!! I digress, the bang bang shrimp (pictured) had a LOT of sauce on it, good taste but too much. The shrimp was also overcooked. Next came the swordfish... I could taste the grill on the asparagus, but nothing else, I added salt. There was a sauce on the plate (pictured), but it didn't really go well with anything on the plate. The swordfish was way overcooked and rubbery. Then, the potatoes were grainy. The bartender asked me my opinion, and I told her, so she gave me a free desert. The ice-cream was good, the cookie it was on was good, together not so much. Then, after it was all done $69 without the desert. I have been here before for lunch, it was much better so I am going with an off night. All of the ingredients were there for an amazing meal, just poorly executed. I might try again, probably not though. Too much for too little.
If ambiance in the room we sat in was like the front of the restaurant it would have been great. The food is mediocre. There are a lot We were seated in the back area that felt like I was at a bad wedding banquet hall. The food was just okay. The lobster mac and cheese is actually very disappointing. For the price we paid for it should have been a lot better. The service was good. with all the choices in Kingston in uptown I would probably pick a better restaurant to go to.
Our server Trevor was amazing, he was kind and solve the issues we had with the food. The wings were really dry and the chips and fish was good but a small portion for the price.
It's really the atmosphere that's nice here. Roasted beets and goat cheese salad"- the beets were cold and straight from a can, not roasted at all. We were a tad annoyed with the few fruit flies that hovered my wine. The prices didn't really fit the meals quality. Bang bang shrimp was good but the random French Fri crumb from shared oil was weird. Probably won't go back.
Food good..service really slow and not attentive..has to ask several times for items ..place has a nice vibe though
We had high hopes as we walked in, however, reality soon reared its ugly head. The two main dishes that ultimately persuaded us to go were in fact sold out, which we certainly understand happens from time to time. However, we weren't advised of that until we ordered. From that point forward, our server never returned to our table until he handed us the check. The salmon dish was bland and the vegetables were either undercooked or slimy and the schnitzel while flavorful, was overcooked in some parts. For us, the most frustrating part was seeing our server flirt with the other members of the staff the entire time we were there. For a $100 meal, I would expect more attentive service. Not once did our server stop by to see how we were doing or ask if there was anything we needed. Moreover, instead of asking if either of us was interested in another drink, just dropped the check off at the table. With all of the other options in that town, we will be hard-pressed to go back. It was a disappointing end to what was otherwise a lovely visit to Kingston.
Great location and atmosphere, the beer selection is very good and the bar itself is conducive to meeting people. Every time I come here though it's with the intention of sitting on the roof terrace and it's closed every single time. So I eat elsewhere.
My main problem with FST is the food… other than that, it’s tolerable. The strip steak was poor quality, ordered medium rare and arrived well done. The Kobe beef burger arrived more than well done. The salmon was over cooked. The swordfish was overcooked. The one successful dish was the fired artichoke hearts.
I called prior to making a reservation since half of my eight person party is vegan. The man I spoke to said the Gnocci with truffle sauce and Penne arrabiata were both vegan in addition to the Quinoa bowl as well as the Impossible Burger. This is in fact incorrect. The waitress informed us that all the pastas were made with egg. I ordered the Impossible Burger and specified "vegan", so no cheese or bang bang sauce as that's mayo based. After four tries (first had cheese, second was slathered with bang bang sauce, third with less sauce and fourth with the sauce hidden on the bottom of the burger) my dining companions had finished their dinners and I gave up, forgoing the bread with sauce soaked into it and scraping the sauce off the burger. It's doubtful we would have gone there had we known the employee informing us that the pasta dishes were vegan was wrong, and the burger situation would have been comical if I wasn't hungry. On the other hand the waitress did her best, comping the dish I couldn't really eat as well as a cocktail. And the place itself is beautiful. I will definitely go again knowing what I know, even just for the atmosphere and cocktails. Everyone else enjoyed their dinners!
This was a random stop for dinner in Kingston on a busy Saturday. The restaurant was full, loud, and crowded, but we were seated promptly. The service was good and attentive. The highlight of our dinner was the truffle fries. We ordered the mussels appetizer, and it was flavorless. My BF enjoyed his burger, but the seafood Alfredo I had was quite disappointing; the pasta was cooked perfectly, but the sauce left much to be desired; it could've used more sauce and flavor. The restaurant is pricey; just a side order of truffle fries was $11.
The service and atmosphere is fantastic, A+. The food on the other hand is hit or miss. I ordered a $30 braised beef and it literally came with 5 quarter sized chunks of a beef and what I would call instant mashed potatoes. It tasted okay but the portions were so small and not worth the price whatsoever. We also ordered $16 nachos that had what tasted like cheese whiz and prepackaged avocado spread on stale chips, it was pretty bad. Again some of the food is good but after spending $60 on two bad meals I wouldn't really recommend this place unless you're here for the drinks and atmosphere which are solid.
Good service. Loud but good atmosphere. Initial pasta was undercooked and crunchy but was replaced quickly by new plate and response was really good, handled it very well; new dish was delicious. However, some of other dishes were okay and little pricey. Got lobster pasta special, octopus appetizer, and rigatoni.
Worst French Onion soup ever. Overpriced and underwhelming. Service was meh...
We had dinner there early on a Tuesday night . Food and service were fine but the atmosphere was horrible, so loud we couldn't talk or hear because the bar patrons couldn't carry on conversations in normal voices and management can't control the volume which I do understand but it completely ruined our dining experience. We couldn't wait to leave.
Had such high hopes for this place, which was beautifully renovated. The brussel sprouts tasted deep fried, the French fries weren’t fresh, and my sandwich was served on clearly burnt (and black) toast. Bratwurst was also over cooked and dry. The waitress was great though!
We went based on the good Google reviews but were sadly unimpressed. We arrived on a Monday evening before 5pm. First bad surprise was we went to order a pizza and we're informed they were out of pizza dough. How is that possible early on an Monday! 🥴 Next, my wife ordered a Kobe burger medium with an egg over easy. The burger was well done, as well as the egg, and it came with bacon which she didn't order. The server did bring a new egg that was over easy when we complained. The apple salad I ordered wasn't crisp, and had way too much dressing. Sadly, I don't know if they have new staff or management, but our experience was nowhere near a 4+ rating that others have reported
Who makes a meatball sub and doesn’t cut the bread?! Meatball on top of an uncut loaf is something I’ve never seen. Mixed drinks were hit and miss. They only staffed one person so the service was slow.
Just went to lunch today here and was very underwhelmed. Bill was 150+ for mediocre food. Breading didn’t stay on the calamari, nachos were about $30 for a small scoop of beef and cheese on chips. Besides the food, we are sitting on a deck getting swarmed by bees, which I understand we are outside,… but no one around to help take away plates or help box anything up or ask us if we wanted to move…. I couldn’t even sit down cause there were bees flying in my face. Had to box up a whole plate of food because of this and I was given a box that could fit maybe 5 chips as our waiter sat at the bar with the bartender laughing and joking…. Mediocre food is one thing but lack of service just adds to a bad experience. Won’t be going back.
This iscthe second time I ate here. Last time over a year ago was "so-so" ... this week, I ordered a smash burger ... the restaurant was empty, I waited over 30 minutes for a burger. The bun was wet with the ingredients and fell apart, the neat was tough. And the bill with tax and a $2 tip was $30. I won't be going back.
A party of 7, we sat for over an hour for food, and our waitress came by once for drink orders. When the 2 other people came 10 minutes later, they ordered drinks but she never returned with their drinks. We ended up ordering drinks at the bar for quicker service and also grabbing the two people’s drinks from the bar that was just sitting on the corner waiting for pickup. Food was meh, service bad, place seemed lost. Multiple tables left while we sat. Not the waitress’s fault. Super under staffed. As far as the food goes, the French onion soup didn’t even have cheese, the pasta was crunchy, This place came as a recommendation to us, but we won’t be back.
I don't think I've ever posted a negative review of a restaurant before. I wanted a chicken sandwich instead of a beef burger. They said no, so I got the worst cobb salad I've ever had with a piece of chicken breast on top. I only ate it because I was hungry but it was very bad. Just kind of confused as to why they couldn't put a piece of chicken on a bun. It was not cheap either. The only reason we stayed was because my kids were there and they were hungry too but we should've left.
This was not what I was expecting at all , took 25 minutes to get our drinks , we got the Truffle Burrata appetizer there was no kind of truffle oil it was Served with tomatoes and white toast bread. I don’t know but for a restaurant to serve white toast bread when you have all the local Bakeries . Idk just bad. Then got a New York strip Firm, medium rare. It came up extremely chewy had no flavor, no matter how much salt or pepper. We didn’t eat. It just left it. Paid our bill and left. Will never be coming back. Was very disappointed. I never write any kind of bad reviews but the food was just terrible sadly .
Came in to enjoy their new Happy Hour. They have advertised it on their website and it was posted via leaflet outside the restaurant. Upon entering the Bartender downstairs informed us it was on the rooftop bar. My wife has very bad arthritis but we struggled up 25 steps to have the rooftop bartender tell us it was downstairs. After expressing disappointment he went to find out what was going on. When he came back he offered us 2 speciality drinks at 1/2 price. He did not know anything about the advertised food. He told us Claudio would help us. So we struggled down 25 stairs only to be treated with no explanation or apology from Claudio. No answer about why the advertised food was not available and very non-caring and inhospitable attitude. Very poor experience. Went up the street to the Brickman and had a great Happy Hour. Very hospitable and professional
Unfortunately, one of us had Fish and Chips and ended up with bouts of diarrhea and vomiting that lasted through the night. It was most likely the fish as we shared the chips and my partner was fine. We narrowed down to dinner because we had eaten the same food that day and the only difference was the fish (the rest of the meals were fine) that I ate. I also saw a similar review posted 4 years ago by another customer who threw up after eating “uncooked fish”.
Don’t waste your money on the nachos, they were disgusting. Cheese wiz, fake guacamole, and the chicken was like cardboard. Also they were nearly cold. $17 for that plus $7 extra for the gross chicken. I can’t believe they serve this garbage.I should have sent them back. It’s a cute place why not just use real cheese? It can’t be saving them that much money. My stomach still hurts. What you’re saving in $ you are losing in repeat customers.
