Sooooo yummy! Best steak burritos I've had in my entire life.
The food was delicious!! I had no expectations upon entering this establishment. I was hungry and they were serving food so it was a good fit for me. I ordered the fish taco and rolled tacos. The first bite into that fish taco and I WAS IN LOVE!!! The taco had great flavor and the condiments complimented the fish perfectly!! I hate I don't live in this area because this would be on my list of places to visit regularly. I had dreams of that fish taco every night until I left. I have never had a crispy fish taco and I will never forget that first bite, that first crunch. Everything we ate here was delicious. The food was made fresh and didn't take a long time to get. It was worth every dollar and every minute we had to wait. This is a quaint restaurant so we chose to take our order back to the hotel to enjoy.
Our Uber driver recommended this place and we did not regret listening to him! Delicious breakfast burritos. Very large portions.
I give it 4.2 stars. Selected 5 to counter some of the hateful reviews. Food was pretty good. Staff was kind. Got rolled tacos. Meat a tiny bit dry. Guac was tasty. The red sauce was fantastic.
I always get a California burrito and I always leave happy so that’s worth 5 stars to me.
After years of service to the La Jolla community, they still never fail to quickly serve the delicious and savory experience I've been craving
For a very small spot, this food was absolutely delicious!!! Sorry, I ate so fast that I forgot to take pictures. The fish tacos were my favorite!! The sauce was AMAZINGLY delicious!! I have never had a fish taco so big and delicious. The rolled tacos were just as delicious!! We received prompt service and I can't wait to try this place again.
Awesome experience....alot of places raised price while cutting portions. Not here folks their burritos are MONSTERS. I'm a big guys (400 pounder) I couldn't finish my burrito. I drive from Santee to Rigobertos La Jolla when I'm craving a burrito that feeds me twice. Thanks guys you are doing everything right.....just the salsas can use a bit of growth hormone hahahahahahaha. Meaning salsa to burrito size......still my favorite go to burrito spot.
The fish tacos I had yesterday were amazing!!! Had a breakfast burrito this a.m. YUM!!! I am seeing some bad reviews here. Come on people get over it. Yes, maybe a language barrier, your in a hurry, talking to fast...whatever, just take a minute and give them a break. Yes its fast food and really great!
This is a pretty small shop with about three tables inside and maybe two outside. The parking lot is very small and limited street parking. The worker is very kind and waited for us to be ready to order. They have a lot on the menu! I got the breakfast burrito, which is egg cheese, bacon potato, and she got two tacos with beans and rice. The wait was not long at all and it was all very hot. My burrito was exactly what I was looking for: flavorful and salty, but that perfect salt amount you crave in a burrito. I found it kind of interesting. I’ve never seen french fries be used for the potato portion in a burrito before. Regardless it was all very delicious and I eat it all. Beans and rice were very yummy and my girlfriend devoured the two tacos . We look forward to coming here and trying more items. I know they have a location down the street the offers drive-through.
So continently close to Windansea. Carne asada fries come as a giant shareable portion. It only comes with guac and meat, so I personally recommend adding sour cream and pico.
The food here is delicious! Everything you could want from a taco stand. The red and green sauce is amazing. I always love the shrimp tacos and hot carrots! Great service! Perfect place to get food to go & have lunch/dinner on the beach :)
Ordered the horchata and the Asada Fries with an a la carte fish taco (for the wife). This was a misnight snack and it didn't disappoint. The horchata was on point and the fries were loaded and damn good. The wife said the fush taco was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Highly recommend.
Best chile relleno burrito on the planet. I’ve eaten here a handful of times and it’s consistently delicious. Staff is kind and the food comes out quickly.
Taco Stand was closed but luckily Rigoberto’s was open! Went for some late night churos. They weren’t on the menu but they do have them. They made them fresh with dulce de leche filling.

The chimi is full of flavor and big enough for several ppl.
Warning: the tacos are HUGE. Came with wife for lunch. She orders her usual two tacos. I usually eat a lot more than she does, so I order four tacos. She finished one and a half. I finished two. Ended up having to take two tacos to go since I couldn't eat more without falling into a food coma. The tacos themselves taste GREAT. The cream and rice and lettuce added rich textures to every bite. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood.
Great place to get the full San diegan feel! The carne burrito was fire. And the vibes were immaculate. 10/10 reccomend.
As a burrito lover myself I have been around plenty of taco shops across San Diego and can definitely say this one ranks as one of the best in terms of quality and freshness. The shop has a nice ambiance and the workers were very friendly! You can even grab your food and walk a couple 100 feet and you’re at the beach!
Top notch hole in the wall Mexican place. Highly recommend it. Food is so good

Perfect for a taco or a burrito after a day at the park or beach! I had a delicious carnitas burrito and a side of Mexican rice, my grandson Levi ate all of the rice except giving up a couple of spoonfuls to his little sister Sienna, (pictured with her mom) and we got an extra special surprise when my husband came out with a hard to get favorite drink for my daughter Amber and I... IT was 2 bottles of of ICE COLD Mexican Coca-Cola, the real stuff too, made with pure Cane Sugar! It's in the original glass bottle and you need to use a bottle opener, (not a twist off cap) The food was perfectly spiced, melt in your mouth, an implosion of Mexican flavors, rite down to the Hot red and green Salsas (I felt like I was in Tj) and topped off with a Cool Crisp bottle of original Coca Cola to wash it down! 4/5 stars only because the restroom was in a total separate part of the building with separate entrances! Weird??
The burrito was too big. Flavor was okay. Mexican shops could do more with less in opinion. Rolled tacos were okay I hoped the corn tortillas would taste better but they were alright.
This place is a great location with quality food for a fast food joint. Everything I have gotten here has been good. No issues with my order, hot and fresh. The staff are nice while still having that beach vibe which is important since it's across the street from the ocean. Cheap good food by the beach. That's a yes on my book. Sometimes I’ll get wild chunks of lettuce in my tacos, not shredded... if this location could step that up it would be 4stars
One of the best classic taco shops in the La Jolla area. They have really good carne asada fries and California burritos. The seating is a bit limited, but most people get their food to go so it’s ok. I give 4 stars only because it’s not the best Mexican you can get in San Diego. There are a lot of taco shops in the South Bay that are better. That said, when in La Jolla and craving Mexican, Rigoberto’s is a great choice. You won’t be disappointed.
Got the Mexican burrito 🌯because it sounded fancy by turns out there’s no meat or really any flavoring😐. Lol the little sauces helped but I should’ve gotten something more tasty because my friends had more tasty items. But that’s okay. It was still huge and I love eggs🥚 and there were more than enough of those. It’s a tiny place. And they have nice frozen drinks!🥤
Small, unpretentious restaurant. Tasty tacos and nice folks. A few tables inside the particular location we went to.
I got the carne asada fries and the rolled tacos. Both were pretty solid. The red and green sauce were both really good, so I'd be sure to take some for your food.

Always a base hit here especially after being in the ocean. If you are really hungry, you are going to need to be patient, they didn't make my California burrito in the time I'm used to. The burrito was pretty good and average size.
Small taco shop mainly good for to go. Somewhat overpriced. $6 for each fish taco. You decide. I can do better elsewhere
They routinely close between 30-60 minutes before the posted time on weekdays. Extremely unreliable because of this, but when you actually can score a burrito from there after getting off work, it hits the spot. Just wish they would actually be open when they’re supposed to be.
Ok... who doesn't love a dive taco joint? I'm usually the first in line for sure. But I just can't get into the gobs of sour cream they keep dumping on the rolled tacos which would be tasty with 75% less sour cream. No chopped tomatoes on top but plenty of shredded lettuce and cheese... which is good. But they drop at least 6 oz of sour cream on 3 rolled tacos. I wanna call a life guard to rescue those poor things. And then there's the chips and guacamole. Should be another winner. Right!? Think again Amigo. The chips are constantly overcooked in old oil and the guacamole has... on tres occasions... be brown, runny and dribbled all over the chips. Seriously. What's up with that? Not in a cup nestled in the chips box but drizzled over it all. So it's ikcy, brownish and makes the chips mushy. IDK. But the kitchen staff... muy bueno

I was erroneously told this was better than taco stand. I had the chicken taco and I’m sorry, but it was the worst taco I’ve had in my life. The worst will never go back.
Chile rellano burrito was 2/5. Full of rice and tomatoes (gross). Sour cream inside was cold making the burrito temp off. Place looks clean. Service was just ok. Burrito prices aren't listed. Sketchy. I paid 12. Won't be back unless drunk.
We chose to eat here since we were in a rush and the places around were crowded. Anyways wasn’t aweful, but the meat and eggs were super dry in my breakfast burrito I had to use a lot of sauce to liven it up.
The cashier lady was nice not the most hospitable but whatever. I got a carne asada burrito and it was sooo much grease. Couldn’t finish eating it, I had to keep bloating with napkins to soak up the grease. Also when you get a quesadilla they cut it up but no here you get the whole quesadilla split in two. I had to tear off pieces to eat it and I don’t know what cheese they use but it’s not it.

This place is dirty, rundown and in a word awful. I ordered two shredded beef taco combination with rice and beans for $9 and it was completely inedible. On my second bite I got a taste of the shredded beef... and it was absolutely FOUL. I went to get my money back and I was of course rejected. I have a close friend who works for the County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health and I am going to tell her about this place.
The lady at the counter who took our order was rude and mean. The food was unfortunately also very bad. The carne asada tacos were soggy and dripping. The "guacamole" we paid $7.50 for with the chips was not really guacamole but like a think sauce made with avocado that had no taste. My wife's taco had a hair in it. We gave it back to the lady and she just stared back at us and said it's not my hair. We told her that's ok we don't want the taco and we are not requesting a replacement or a refund, we just don't want the taco. Before we left she tried to give us a refund for the taco and we refused on matter of principle because she made us feel like we were trying to scam her at the beginning when we pointed out the hair. I would definitely not be returning to this location and would not recommend it to anyone.
Rudest lady I've ever met working behind the counter. Charged me a price higher than was on the menu and then was very mean about it.
I have been here at least 100 times with a friend (who is Caucasian) and was never treated in such a manner but I have to write this because you should never be treated differently because the color of you skin. So today I came with my brother and ordered our food and handed the woman $100 bill and instead of handing me my change back she placed it on the counter now even though I already knew why (because I'm Black) I didn't say anything but when she took the next customers order (who was Caucasian) she placed the money in the women's hand. I wanted to scream at the lady so bad but I held my composure people shouldn't have to feel like this especially when I'm a paying customer
$11.15 for 6 rolled tacos!!! 5 rolled tacos would cost even more for some crazy reason. A reason the owner couldn’t explain. Had something to do with the Custom Fee of .43 cents you can see it on my receipt. What really was annoying was the fact that she snickered….. happily when I asked $11.15 for rolled tacos? Nothing on them but guacamole and a pinch of cheese
I have never had such a disappointing experience in my entire life. A side of chips and guac was $9 and this is what it looked like. Never going back. 0/10 would not recommend. Have had better dining experiences at Taco Bell.
So we ordered from this place tonight and I cannot eat this mess! We had two orders of tacos. One order with no onions and the other order with no guacamole. Both orders came with meat and quacamole only. That’s it. Weird liquid guac smothered on tacos. We also ordered chips and salsa and guacamole and chips. The chips were covered in this liquid guacamole. The chips were completely wet and soggy bc of the chips being covered. Who does that? Put the salsa and the guacamole in a separate bowl, not on top of the chips. Completely unsatisfied with this place and will not order from here again
