Walked in after family day at BNP Paribas around 2pm, packed with tennis crowd ( or golf) crowd, got a table quickly, after a few minutes menus arrived and then our waitress took the kids order & gave us time to decide for adult foods. Everything turned out great, the kids meals were worthy of the price and even good for adults to be honest. The pulled pork sauce was too sweet for me and not spicy enough for wife (it was her food) and the original burger was perfectly made and tasted delicious. The kid’s chicken tenders and burger were superb (you should order it when desiring a small portion because even then it’s big enough for an adult meal IMO), enjoy.
Tried the restaurant for the first time. Food was delicious and we loved our waitress Desiree. She was fantastic, had great advice for food options and was really great to talk to. We will definitely be going back again in hope to see her there as well.
We had just driven in from out of town and wanted to go to Stuft Pizza but there was an hour wait there so we walked over to Rd Runnr and were seated right away. Honestly we were really impressed with the food and drinks. I had one of the coldest beers I’ve ever had which I really enjoyed. We shared the wings which were piping hot. Our dinners were all so good. The Mac and cheese, the salad with ahi, the salmon and risotto, the chef’s pasta special and the flat iron steak. The steak was ordered medium well and came out what I consider medium rare, but it was still delicious. Everybody was raving about their dish. We were very hungry so I know that helped. Service was very good too.
We had a party of 7 and two dogs - there were no tables available outside on the patio, so, they accommodated us by putting us inside in a separate room! The staff were attentive, but, not overly attentive. There was a turkey or beef patty menu option for the pups - they enjoyed it! Our food was very good, too! Would highly recommend this restaurant!
GREAT SERVICE & NICE BALCONY DINING Service was impeccable! -- Thank you Parker & Stephanie! Our first time here. Walking in, we were a bit unsure where to go to get a table--although there were signs pointing back toward a Host Table, it was located at the rear of the location, not in the entry. Seemed a bit odd but still well marked. We were greeted immediately and professionally and seated ASAP. Our table server Parker was on it! He introduced trainee Stephanie to us and we were soon treated to our dirty martini with handmade bleu cheese stuffed olives, and their house favorite--Spicy Margarita. The margarita is their bestseller and easy to understand why it's everyone's favorite. For starter, we order the "Risen Dough" appetizer. Crusty and warm with a great tapenade (or butter). Delicious! For lunch we split the Short Rib RD RNNR Tacos. Dang good! It had an aioli sauce with a little heat, shredded cabbage and my favorite pickled onions. The sauces were incredible. Since we ate lightly, we decided to try out their dessert. Although not made in-house, they are locally sourced from a local La Quinta bakery. We had the coconut cream pie and the carrot cake. Both were fantastic. The balcony was the second best thing about this place we loved. Outside and down the next level, they were setting up for a weekend festival in the courtyard. Fun to people watch and it was the perfect entertainment to go with lunch. This place is great. I highly recommend it to anyone.
RD RNNR Libations Pints & Plates (Roadrunner La Quinta): A lively spot known for its great selection of craft beers and creative cocktails. The menu offers a variety of tasty pub-style dishes, from flavorful appetizers to hearty mains. The atmosphere is casual and fun, making it perfect for gatherings with friends or a relaxed night out. Service is friendly and efficient. Ideal if you’re looking for good drinks and solid comfort food in a laid-back setting.
If you're seeking consistently great service and consistently delicious meals THIS IS YOUR CUE...hit up RDRNNR for dinner. As a newbie in the area with a gluten allergy child, we discovered this place when traveling from LA. I mean, gluten free fries are hard to come by but not here. With a dedicated fryer and gluten free buns, plus staff with actual knowledge of gluten free living it means my child can go out and eat like a typical kid. Plus, the cocktails and views are stunning. Truly the most beautiful view and photo opps in La Quinta. Now that we live nearby, we are here 1-2 times a week. And any time someone comes to visit, friends, in-laws, etc...this is our place. At this point we've tried almost everything on the menu and I've never been disappointed. Daily they have deal specials and on the weekends they have meal specials that will blow your mind. If you're looking for a great dinner, try literally anything but an old faithful for me are the short ribs. They might be the best I've had in the 40 countries, Ive lived, traveled and worked in. Grateful to have this place nearby. Grateful for great service and for magnificent servers who've become like friends Desirae and Jerry. Thanks, RDRNNR for always helping us feel at home in our new city!
I was staying in La Quinta for work and luckily RDRNNR was within walking distance. I came here twice lol… loved the atmosphere and the friendly staff. They seemed to know most people by name, which reminded me of the Irish pub I used to bartend at. It felt homey! The food was so good.. I got the ribs one night and the pulled pork sliders the next. Both delicious! Ribs were so tender I could literally pull the bone clean out of the meat. The spicy margarita was great too. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area!
Loved the drinks and appetizers at Road Runners! We ordered the ahi tuna nachos and the squidward calamari which we loved. Great beer selection. We sat on the dog friendly patio. Restaurant is on the second floor and there is an elevator. Great, friendly, and quick service. Recommend!
Perfect first-time experience! Our waitress Madison was EXTREMELY friendly and tentative to our needs. Fun bar atmosphere with lots of big screens and indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a margarita to start, and it was perfect! Had a good spicy finish and also a hint of coconut at the end. I also ordered fish tacos that were super crunchy and delicious. The sauce with the pickel onions had a nice sweet and refreshing taste that was exceptional. They come with three smaller size tacos but they are filling! I added avocado to them, and it was perfect. The warden ordered a beet salad...😒🥗 She really enjoyed dressing and the Gorgonzola mix that went well with the sweet walnuts. Our three year old son loved the kids' cheese pizza he ate the entire thing! Great atmosphere for the whole family.
RD RNNR is a must-visit restaurant for any food lover. The Grilled Flat Iron Steak is a standout dish that you simply can't miss. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the seasoning was just right, making it one of the best steaks I've ever had. The magical sauce paired with the steak was a beautiful combination that left a lasting impression on me. Their extended appetizer menu, which includes tapas-style bites, is another must-try. I highly recommend the Quest Fundido, a delicious cheesy dip that pairs perfectly with the red corn chips. The chips are crispy, and the melted cheese makes for a mouthwatering experience. The attentive service provided by the staff at RD RNNR is another highlight of the restaurant. The overall experience was memorable, and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes from their impressive menu. Overall, if you're looking for a memorable dining experience or just to celebrate a birthday, RD RNNR is the place to go. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a true gem in Palm Springs.
We really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and servers. The burger I got was full of flavor. The fries were like no other. Crisp, well seasoned and not over cooked. The grilled cheese had 4 different cheeses and an Amazing twist, when we added chicken & tomato it was like no other. The restrooms had an amazing look to them along with hand lotion for after you wash. We will be going back again soon. Went back again 5/24 for moms birthday and amazing again as usual. Had a blast with our server Mya
I’ve been coming to Road Runner Spirits and Libations in Old Town La Quinta for about a year, and when I first started, the food was exceptional — creative, flavorful, and consistently well-prepared. It quickly became one of my favorite spots to bring friends, colleagues, and guests. Unfortunately, over the past few months, the food quality has taken a noticeable dip. A recent low point: I ordered the filet, and the whole table joked it looked more like braised beef. Which ok not every time is gonna be perfect but then most recently we ordered the filet again and it came out looking like a New York strip. So we sent it back and sent us what looked like an under cooked filet (asked for (medium) That pretty much sums up the inconsistency coming from the kitchen lately. Unfortunately the executive chief wasn’t there on a Saturday night to hear my feedback. What keeps me coming back — and what makes this place still worth a visit — is the outstanding service. The bartenders and servers are next-level. Brooke, the bar manager, is an absolute All-Star — warm, professional, and on top of everything. Mercedes behind the bar is also fantastic. Honestly, the entire front-of-house team deserves serious recognition. I work in the service industry hosting golf events in the valley so I pay close attention to both the guest experience and quality. I’ve recommended Road Runner to many of my guests — and while I’ll still send them for the drinks and the vibe, I’ll now have to give a heads-up about the recent drop in food consistency. Here’s hoping the kitchen gets back to the level this amazing team deserves. The bones of a great spot are still here — they just need to tighten up the food again.
Great atmosphere. A little hard to find as it is on the 2nd floor and if you ask Google for directions it puts you on the backside and there are no signs to let you know where to go. Food was pretty good. The short rib was very well done; highly recommend. The Mac and Cheese I saw was recommended by others and I found it to be pretty good but wasn't as thick as I was expecting it to be. Cheesecake was fine, would have been better if it was fresher. Overall the experience was nice. Staff was friendly, I just wish they would acknowledge you when you come up the outside stairs to let you know where the hostess was located, especially if it is your first time (Go directly inside, towards the bar and you will find them). Their menu is very nice and I would like to go back and try some of their other dishes.
Food was okay but cocktails leave something to be said. The cocktail menu is all based off of seltzer drinks so you pretty much need to like "white claw" or whatever the seltzer base is to enjoy a drink. Lacks originality, Not a fan! On the pro side, the outdoor seating area is great except as a large party, they put us inside...boo!
I did not end up dining at this restaurant, but my experience trying to make a reservation over the phone was disappointing enough to warrant a review. When I called to ask about availability, the person who answered was rude and dismissive, telling me to “check online” rather than offering any assistance. In my experience, the vast majority of restaurants are still willing to help customers make reservations by phone, even if online booking is available. If this restaurant truly only accepts online reservations, that policy itself is unfriendly to people who may not be comfortable using the internet, especially older customers. More importantly, the way this was communicated was unnecessarily harsh. A simple and polite explanation such as, “For your convenience and to better manage reservations, we recommend booking online” would have been perfectly acceptable. Instead, I was met with a tone that felt condescending, almost as if questioning whether I had the ability to use the internet. Customer service starts with respect. Unfortunately, this interaction left a very poor first impression.
