The Belgian Waffle Works is a gem! Their waffles are absolutely delicious, with generous portions that leave you satisfied. The food is consistently excellent, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Whether you're a local or visiting, this spot is a must-try for a delightful breakfast experience.

The Ponderosa Running Springs

Bacon was great! I don't expect much from restaurants when eating waterside, seems because it seems like the food is mostly subpar. Well, not here. The food is reasonable and the service was pleasant and on point. We arrived at 9am on a friday and totally beat the crowds. It made for a serene breakfast overlooking the water from the outdoor patio. Outdoor patio was clean and welcoming. Parking lot was plenty. ADA accessible. Check out our rental cabin nearby. Great experience. Wasn't crowded due to the weather. Sat in the patio area, which has a retractable awning and patio heaters to keep you warm. Service was great by the entire, including the owners Adam and his wife.

Nice casual diner vibe for breakfast and lunch. We went for breakfast with 8 people, and we got our food about 5-10 mins later! Fast and efficient service with great food. Only thing to consider is that they don't allow to-go orders when they get busier due to the manager saying that to-go orders would mess up their flow in the kitchen. We had went back around 10:40am and place was packed. They denied my request to place a to-go order and were only allowing sit-downs. So I put in my name to wait for a table and planned to place my order when I had my table, but the manager also denied that and strictly stated only sit-down orders. I'm not a fan of that decision, but I understand the business decision. Otherwise, no complaints of this restaurant. Definitely recommend for breakfast. Go early!

I had breakfast at Belgian Waffle Works in Lake Arrowhead, and everything I ordered (scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, and hash browns) was freshly cooked. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and cooked exactly how I like them, and the bacon had the right amount of crispiness and flavor without being overcooked. The waffles were the standout! They were light, golden, and just the right amount of sweetness. You can tell they know what they're doing because they tasted fresh and homemade, rather than rushed out of the kitchen. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just enough seasoning to let the taste come through. On top of that, the staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If anyone wants an amazing breakfast with the view of Lake Arrowhead, I’d definitely point them toward Belgian Waffle Works.

There wasn’t a wait since we ate close to 2pm after our boat ride. The restaurant has a fabulous view of the lake. There’s indoor and outdoor dining. Service was friendly. Our meals came out within 15-20 mins.

Food was ok overall, I recommend getting the "little breakfast" which is a waffle, two eggs and two bacon strips. For drinks I would recommend getting water and skip the coffee. Service was good, the waitress did keep checking on us to make sure we were ok. I got here on a Monday morning at 10am in October. I parked in the Stater Brother's parking lot level 4 which has plenty of open spots. Then you take the elevator down to level 1 and then you walk through the village and when you get to the boardwalk then you make a right and walk to the entrance. I sat inside and the atmosphere was cozy with a nice view of the lake. Overall it was a clean and good place to get breakfast. It was not crowded but there were many people inside since it was cold at about 40 degrees outside. You come here for the nice view of the lake and its historic nature of the restaurant.

I'm sorry but it was a 50/50 for me my food was good but my child's waffle was burnt and ewwwwww was nastyand the sausage had a funny taste by the time the over worked server came by it was child's so I just told my child to eat everything else. And gave them some of my waffle which was OK. I was charged for the real syrup twice. We didn't touch but one of them. It's OK I paid it left a 20% tip and plan on never returning. Only 1 bathroom and it was a line. Our wait to be seated was about 20 minutes.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience here. I was having a nice day and decided to try this restaurant because the menu looked great. The hostess said the wait would be around 30 minutes, which was totally fine. Not long after joining the waitlist, I received a text saying my table was READY. When I checked in, the server told me the table actually wasn’t ready yet. I didn’t mind waiting a bit longer, but then I watched two other parties who arrived after me get seated first. Feeling confused, I asked why that was, and the answer I got was simply, “your table isn’t ready yet.” So I asked which table was mine so I could wait nearby — but shockingly, the server ignored my question, walked over to the table, and just stood there staring at me. That moment felt really dismissive and uncomfortable, especially since I was genuinely looking forward to a pleasant dining experience. It would have been much better if the text had been sent only after the table was TRUELY ready, or if my question had been acknowledged. Despite feeling disappointed, I still left a tip out of respect for the other staffs. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously — no guest deserves to be treated that way.
