At Boatwrights Dining Hall, we're proud to serve up Southern hospitality with a side of exceptional cuisine. Our menu features a variety of classic favorites, including our signature Prime Rib and Blackened Salmon, as well as an impressive all-you-can-enjoy platter. Customers rave about the restaurant's warm and inviting atmosphere, where complimentary treats like cornbread and fried Pimento cheese appetizer are just the beginning. With a focus on quality service and a wide range of options to suit every taste, Boatwrights Dining Hall is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
Boatwright's Dining Hall is praised for its prime rib, pimento cheese fritters, and cornbread. Many reviewers highlight the excellent service, especially mentioning servers Han, Denise, and Joseph. Some found the all-you-can-eat platter inconsistent.
Tip: If staying at the resort, make a reservation in advance.
Haven't been to Boatwrights since there was a Dixie Landings. Back then we would get the Prime Rib which was some of the best on property. It is still on the menu but we decided to go outside of our comfort zone this time We are staying nearby in Ft Wilderness and was looking for a good sit down meal close by. Glad we came. Food was great. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. There were three of us and we had a wide variety from Jambalaya with scewered shrimp which were perfect to Salmon which was cooked to perfection and the Chicken which was a huge breast breaded and sides of mac and cheese and mashed. Highly recommend.
My 2nd visit to Boatwright's after 12 years. I was impressed with the staff at the hostess desk who were able to accommodate me even though I arrived 2 hours prior to my reservation time. I was a solo diner and felt the server was rushing me throughout the meal. A bit off putting. The food was okay. I had the All You Can Eat platter. Just okay. The food was warm, not hot with very minimal seasoning. The cornbread was good as were the ribs. The macaroni and cheese really tried but didn't quite make it. Overall 3 1/2 stars. I'm from the west coast so I doubt I'll be back. I believe the food was much better on my first visit so I know Boatwright's is capable of doing better.
I was impressed with the quality of the food! Reviews seemed pretty mixed but it was a pleasant surprise to find that the all you can eat platter was solid. The sausage was a bit bland, but everything else from the green beans to the brisket hit the spot. I wish there were more sauce options to go with it, but I must give credit to our server and the kitchen for trying to come up with a spicy BBQ sauce on the fly when I was totally cool with what I already had. Nicola was really great and made the birthday meal a 10/10 experience! This was a total contrast to the cafeteria just down the hall, which was horrible. But I definitely recommend Boatwrights!
We have been here twice now. The platter with the ribs and chicken tenders “All you can enjoy” is massive. The prime rib is absolutely delicious and must try. The French onion soup is wonderful and so is the cornbread. It’s not the finest atmosphere of any Disney restaurant by any means but a very enjoyable and good value place to eat. Delicious food.
Our server Joseph was fabulous! The cornbread and honey butter was just the beginning of an amazing meal. The French onion soup and pimento cheese fritters were delicious as appetizers. We had the prime rib and all you care to eat taste of the bayou. The brisket was perfect!
We had the "All You Care to Enjoy Platter" and the "Blackened Salmon" — both tasted really great. I'm usually not someone who is easily impressed, so I don’t understand the negative reviews; maybe the menu or the chef has changed. Especially the cornbread they served first — it was the best I’ve ever had. Also, the All You Care to Enjoy Platter is unlimited — I couldn’t resist and ended up having three plates. The service was also excellent.
Wonderful experience for dinner. Opted for the entrée of Shrimp and pasta, instead of the all-you-can-eat skillet. Will visit again
Great variety of options, great service, wonderful atmosphere. The complimentary cornbread was excellent. The fried Pimento cheese appetizer with pepper jelly was amazing! My daughter liked the crispy Cajun chicken, and I loved the all-you-care-to-eat chef's platter. I ended my meal with the French Press Chicory Coffee, and I loved it as well! I would definitely go here again!
Breakfast is incredible. I'm bias because Riverside is my favorite Disney resort, but the chicken was crispy and juicy, the waffle was fluffy and flavorful, and the syrup is the cherry on top of the perfect breakfast.
Boatwright’s is a very good bbq restaurant, especially for being located at Walt Disney World. The food is served on individual plates, and because the restaurant is all you can eat, additional food will be served as wanted.

The prime rib here is fantastic. I'd also highly recommend getting the hush puppy appetizer. If you're staying here definitely get a reservation for this restaurant.

Great restaurant. The pimento cheese fritters are so good! Prime rib was so tender. And the bread pudding was awesome. We will definitely be returning.
Been here several times this time we had the french onion soup, jambalaya, and the chicken entree. The food was great as always. The server Denise was awsome. We will be back.
Amazing dinner with amazing service. Han was a wonderful server with a great personality. My wife and I had the Prime Rib dinner and my daughter had the salmon. Desserts were good, I would recommend the cafe au lait pot de creme.
Tips for making the most out of your "All you wish to enjoy" experience: 1. Do not eat the focaccia bread. It may be delicious, and the chimichurri butter really puts it over the top, but it's good way to get you full faster. 2. If you can, ask them to serve everything except the mashed potatoes. They are super delicious, and very well seasoned, But the seasoning mix is perfect, simply to hide the level of salt that they add to the potatoes, this causes your body to feel full sooner because of the amount of sodium you're intaking. 3. Unless you can handle it, don't order another plate full of everything... Just ask for what you liked best as many times as you can to make it worth it. Tip for the restaurant: If you can, get rid of the brisket. It's really yummy, but it's not done the right way... Try replacing the brisket with fried fish.
We come here all of the time and stay at this resort but do not usually have time for sit down dinner. Family of 4 plus a toddler. The bread and chimichurri butter was a great start as well as the french onion soup! Medium rare Prime rib was amazing!! Jambalaya was spicy but very good. Chocolate martinis we have had previously at the bar on prior trips and did not disappoint again tonight. Denise was out waitress from Coral Springs and she was a very attentive and had a great attitude. Will definitely have dinner on our next return.
This place was really fun and the food was excellent. The jambalaya was incredible (and gluten free!!) we also appreciated the bread service included gluten free cornbread which I liked better than the regular. Our server Erika was on top of everything despite it being quite busy.
The food was very good (especially the corn bread!) and the waiter we had had an amazing personality, attention to detail, and overall exceptional service. However, the air conditioning was so high that it made it difficult to focus on enjoying the meal. I've never dined in a restaurant that was so cold. If I had known and been prepared with a thick sweatshirt or jacket I would've enjoyed the experience a lot more.

Boatrights's First-timers. Not sure what took so long. Probably like everything Disney, the time and pricing. But this time the timing was right because we didn't have parks to go to and the evening free. And it was kind of special event. Yeah for us! Artichoke Cake. Counted this as a small entree because I planned on a dessert. Ha. Comes with roasted red pepper remoulade and cajun trinity slaw. (Off menu. A slight spice to it, but not over the top spicy) Shrimp and grits (yum). French onion soup Au gratin.(comfort food... yes) Seafood boil. A variety of flavors if you want a sampling. Not too spicy. (This isn't a regular seafood boil like you'd have in the south.)It was said by more than one that the shrimp and grits were just a little better than the boil. (Mostly because it was hearty meal and the sauce was so good) Kid's meal with salmon and fries. (If your kid isn't a fan of salmon you may want to go with the broiled chicken). And a side of fried okra. We're familiar with country foods and cajun...so this will come so close. The bread service is a little different. If you're a sweet cornbread fan, the you'll love this. The whipped butter is a nice touch too. Light. It is yummy...but it's not "country" cornbread. Banana Cream Pie Cheesecake (because we like Cheesecake). And the kids sundae. For the win. And thanks Megan for taking care of our gang. Delightful.
No more cornbread! They used to have the best cornbread I've ever had, for free, but now you can't even buy it. I think the restaurant is a little bit overpriced, but the cornbread would make up for it. They also removed my two favorite entrees, the shrimp & grits and the seafood boil. One of the replacement items was still quite good though.
This place should be so much better than it always is. The food is not fresh, the platters of bbq brought out has been sitting in warming plates on the kitchen. It is all you care to eat, which they bring to your table. It was so unappealing I never asked for seconds. That’s surprising because it’s ribs, sausage, brisket, and all the fixings. I don’t count the chicken as it’s strips of breaded chicken that do not belong on a bbq platter. My wife had the prime rib. That came out hot and juicy. She did enjoy it. So that’s a positive. The service was alright, but no one is trying to make this place an amazing experience. Much needs to be done at this resort but luckily there is still the Yehaa Bob show next door at the lounge. This one person makes the whole experience a positive stay. Don’t miss him! Lots of fun. Disney please revamp the food service in your two places at this resort.
While I enjoyed my meal at Boatwrights I feel like I’d prefer other sit down dinner options around the resort. The portions were more than generous and we easily could have split entrees. The shrimp and grits and prime rib were both too salty, and the cocktail was disappointing. It could have just been an issue our night but we had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation to be seated and then the dinner service felt a bit rushed after that point.

This review is was a mixed bag. On the positive, the salmon dinner was good. Unfortunately, there were too many negatives. First, they no longer offer corn bread ahead of the meal. It's simply bread. Second, although our server was friendly, she wasn't very attentive. Never asked about our meals or refilled water. Finally, the BBQ platter left quite a bit to be desired. The meats were generally bland and dry. Not an expensive meal by resort standards, but not worth the $100 or so we spent.
Visited in late January. We had always wanted to dine here and we stayed at Riverside so this was an easy decision. My food was cold upon arrival. I had the Taste of the Bayou. Assuming some of this is preplated as its a popular choice. I was extremely exhausted from traveling and I did not complain as I was so hungry and just wanted to to go bed. My husband's meal was fine, he had the Jambalaya. I would try dining here again, but it won't be my 1st pick.
I was super convinced due to reviews, however, two of the plates of food were cold and ny family was treated sub par aftet me and my husband left the table, not what I expected after having bought two vacation packages with a minimum spent of 12k and 300 in tips alone at 2 restraints. If I had known that we were going to be treated the way we were over dining credits, I never would have included them. Disney knows better in terms of quality and expectations of consumers. Please please be aware of this restaurant and at least make them accountable to treat you well!
Food is mediocre at best. Not worth the price. I order the "all you care to enjoy" taste of the bayou not once was I asked or brought more food. My son had the pasta, meatballs and "fresh fruit" from the kids menu. The sauce was a watery mess with no flavor I mentioned it to the waitress and her answered was "well he ate some" well of course he did he tried it. The fruit was so old look like mold on it when I pointed that out they removed the charge for the kids meal. We ended up sharing my 1 plate. The only thing we both enjoyed was the BBQ shrimp appetizer.
