Opinions de The Lobster Pot Lake George
Orders the 1.25 Maine lobster restaurant week meal and it was fantastic! Our server Lori did a great job, and the food tasted amazing.
Wonderful place. Every year my wife and I go up to Lake George and have at least one dinner here. We both get the Lobster Pot. Delicious! Presentation could use a little work. It's served on a large round metal tray making it look like less than it is. Maybe a bucket or a smaller tray. Service has always been stellar. This year it was Keirstin B. Top notch! Very friendly and attentive.
I can't say enough good things about this place. I fell in love with it a few year's ago. I have an addiction to Seafood. And let me tell you it's cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I now have my parents addicted. Just visited New York and this place was on my list of places to go. Second day, I was filling my tummy!
Amazing meal! We come every year when we are on vacation and usually eat at least twice during the week. Lori was our waitress. She was awsome! So friendly and attentive. Food was delicious as always.
How can I begin. 🥰 over outstanding 👏 👌 🙌 ✨️ service. They accommodate us. We were 25 people from NJ. They went on and beyond to give us great service 👏. The owner was very attentive to us. He came out to thank 😊 us for coming. Family friendly. Beautiful restaurant and servers. The food 😋 OMG 😲 delicious 😋. Great price.
I’ve been going back to the Lobster Pot year after year. The food is always great and the wait staff very friendly and accommodating. A couple years ago I went vegan, so you’d think a seafood place is not exactly vegan friendly. Well, they were able to meet my dietary needs and worked with me to create a dish that was well portioned and delicious. I’ve never had a bad experience here and will continue to come back. The people I went with are not vegan and raved about their meals.
Great food and atmosphere, our server Peter was very pleasant, food came out in perfect time, we had sushi and lobster ravioli and both were very delicisions
Peter was an awesome server. Very attentive, efficient & pleasant . We come here every time we come to lake George it’s one of our favorite places
Lobster Pot is our go to restaurant every time we are in Lake George and we never get disappointed. Victoria was our waitress and was very pleasant and accommodating. The food is always delicious and unlike some other establishments in Lake George, they take pride in what they prepare.
Great experience. My husband had shrimp scampi and loved it. Sister in laws had scallops and haddock both said their meals were delicious. I had fried shrimp and could only eat half the order but my husband enjoyed the other half later in the evening. Best bread and olive oil dip, soup was pasta fa su and both my husband and I enjoyed the cup. Looking forward to another visit next time in Lake George.
Walking in, I'll be honest. My hopes were not that high, given the plastic seating and worn wood. However, me and my girlfriend were very pleased in the end. Our waiter, who I think I can recall was named Peter, was very kind and welcoming, explained our dishes very clearly and in detail and checked in with us frequently. We ordered one of the boiled lobsters, and a shrimp scampi. The shrimps were cooked very well, full of flavor and nice and tender. The lobster was absolutely amazing. It was very tender and loaded with juice and flavor. We come to Lake george every year, and this certainly will be revisited in the near future. 10/10.
Peter was an amazing server and was very kind the whole time. The food was great. The lobster was cooked to perfection.
We made a stop here for dinner on our way to Albany from Montreal. Worth the stop!! Food was delicious, service was impeccable. We sat at the bar, which is always our go to. We had two whole lobsters and the mussels. Mussels were ‘to die for’, the menu didn’t lie. We’ll make sure to swing back by when we’re in the area.
My wife and I along with four other couples enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Lobster Pot. The food was excellent and our server Victoria was very personable, thorough, and welcoming. I have a food allergy and the staff was very accommodating to my needs. When we return to Lake George, we certainly will be dining again at the Lobster Pot.
Always keep coming back to Lobster Pot! We come to Lake George every year and we always never miss to visit this place. Shout out to Olivia our server! She is so friendly and very accommodating!
We were a large party of 12 and so pleasantly impressed and thrilled with the staff that could not have done more for us !! We started with 3 different apps, all delicious but my favorite were the stuffed mushrooms, you must must try them. Our dinners all varied between lobsters there signature steak and lobster dinner, lobster rolls, fish dishes and we were all very pleased with the timeliness of the food, the lovely Victoria our very attentive waitress brought our meals out all together , which for a large crowd is always difficult. Our bartender Jim, did not stop with the flowing cocktails, we all left very happy and tipsy !! The owners stopped by to check on us all, as we were not a quiet crowd !! We even took pictures together. I highly recommend The Lobster Pot, if your in Lake George do not miss the opportunity to try it you will be very pleasantly surprised.
We dined on Friday night during the Adirondack Nationals. The place was packed as we anticipated. We checked in and were told we would have an hour wait, we didn't care. We went to bar for a drink and watched the cars on Canada Street. As people came and went looking for tables, I have never seen a ruder bunch of people expecting to be seated immediately. It’s an event weekend and you have to expect that. Our server Lori was amazing. She was running crazy and yet she was extremely professional and attentive to our needs. At one point an extremely rude and irate gentleman took it upon himself to seat his party on his own. When politely asked to move to the bar or railing areas he proceeded to verbally attack Kayla M & Andrew H at the host station. Kayla was rattled and had to walk away to compose herself, returning after a few minutes. Andrew held the fort down like a champ. Both of these employees are a true asset to your business. Lori is true gold!!!!
Very friendly great food Lori was our server she was great will ask for her again
I am in the over 60 crowd, so yeah this place was perfect for me. Old school quality old school service and the place hasn't changed in many years and I love it, keep it simple. Thanks Lori you are the best 😎👍🏼
Not sure how they ended up with a 3.5 ! Food was fresh and plentiful clams ,oysters, and mussels were to die for. Can't wait to go back for the lobster . service was top notch . We would definitely recommend this place to others .
Our first time at The Lobster Pot and we just loved it! Our server Juliette was excellent and so kind and accommodating! Especially with our son who had fallen asleep during the meal. Amazing experience and delicious food!
Ice cold draft beer. Great wait staff. The food and service is fantastic. Prime Rib is excellent. Crab legs, seafood and spinach crab dip is super fresh. I have Ben coming here for over 20 years. I have never had a bad meal!
My better half and I had the crabmeat stuffed mushrooms appetizer, which was very good, just enough to wet my appetite, then we had the broiled seafood platter which was stuffed flounder with shrimp and scallops, all very tasty and cooked just right, vacationing here, but will come back again
Very nice place. Food was good as were the prices. We had Peter and he was very attentive with our table and joked a lot with us. I highly recommend Peter if you decided to visit Lobster Pot. You won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to going back and trying different dishes.
Lori was my server for the second time I went there she does a wonderful job, very friendly and fast! The lobster also tastes amazing! I’ll be back!
It was amazing. Our food, the service, drinks, finally I really good place to eat. And they have their own parking, which is great for this town. I really enjoyed it. Recommend 100% I had the surf and turf. The Delmonico steak was so juicy and flavorful, loved that I got a whole lobster
This place was everything I had hoped it would be. I ordered the drunken mussels as an appetizer, followed by the lobster pot (hey, I was hungry, eager for a seafood feast, and belatedly celebrating my birthday). It was all cooked to perfection, the server was a really nice guy from Poland, and the outdoor seating area was charming. I personally found the prices to be quite reasonable, given the distance from the nearest seashore. I will definitely be back!
I went with my boyfriend, we were visiting Lake George for the first time. This restaurant was amazing, super friendly staff and great atmosphere. We sat inside at the bar and the bartender, Jim, was the best! We had a clam chowder (delicious) and the surf and turf with was so delicious!!! I couldn’t recommend this place more! We will come back for sure (:
Came here on a Saturday around 5pm with 3 others, got sat right away. The server (Peter) was very attentive and we received all of our drinks & food quickly. The quality of the food was very good for the price, would highly recommend coming here whenever you’re in the Lake George area.
I visited this restaurant as they opened for the season. It wasn't very busy but ive never had a bad experience at this restaurant no matter middle of summer or just season opening. I highly recommend. The location, food, & atmosphere are EXCELLENT! You can either eat outside or inside. DELICIOUS!
Great food!! Clam chowder was perfect as was the prime rib. Big portions and sitting outside on a perfect evening with a daiquiri just made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Also, compliments to my server Becky G. who was very sweet and efficient. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Husband and I are visiting from MI and drove by this place. We were hesitant at first to go because of some of the reviews. We both wanted seafood and said let's go. We were both very happy we did. Service was great and so was the meal. We had the bacon wrapped scallops for a appetiser and we split the Lobster Pot. So glad we split it because we had two shrimps we couldn't even finish, everything was really good. My favorite was the clam chowder, king crab and shrimp. My husbands favorite was the lobster, king crab, clams and shrimp. Would definitely go back.
My wife and I read the 1 star reviews and was hesitant in eating here, but it was a last-minute thing, so we did. When you read or get a lot of one-star reviews, you have to read why the person is writing them. When I hear things like too many bread crumbs in a person's dish, or someone didn't smile when I said hello I feel like it is that percentage of pain in the a** customers that can't be listened to. Everything was better than fine with our food and service. We got there early, and they accommodated us. They took us in early, and they were nothing but nice. As far as the food goes, I had the shrimp tacos, and my wife had the haddock, which she loved. She said it was the best she had eaten down here. I had the shrimp tacos, which were solidly good. ( I love shrimp tacos, but they either are very bad or good. These were good. We also had the stuffed mushrooms appetizer, which was really good. Everything was fresh and tasted great. So don't listen to those 1 stars. We are from NJ, and this was our first time to Lake george, and we have eaten at several places. This one was one of the best.
Most of the food was very good but we sent back 2 dozen raw clams. The waitress was very nice about it and took them off our bill. The prime rib was ok, not great, as was the pasta dish we got, but the crab legs, lobster pot and chowder were excellent. On-site parking which is rare in Lake Geoge. Nice atmosphere.
Had a yummy bday dinner here last week. The outdoor seating could be prettier, but the food was delicious. This is your basic seafood place nothing fancy and the indoors are nicer than the patio seating. It is not on the lake but despite that the lobster and lobster roll was very good.
The atmosphere was great but there was a car show going on. I think that it was a little cluttered. I got the seafood Alfredo which I think could have been good if it had more sauce on it but it was very dry. The crab legs weren't very fresh but they had a good taste to them. I gave it four stars because I know it was a busy night seeing there was a huge car show going on right in front of the restaurant which brought in an abundance of people and their system was down at one point.
Went to lobster pot with a party of 5, everyone's food was good. Got calamari and crab artichoke dip: calamari was ok needed to be fried a little more, dip was very cheesy didn't taste much crab. Someone got fish and chips breading was a little soggy, fries were very good. Someone got snow crab legs and they were ok. Someone got mahi fish tacos and they said they were good. 2 people got THE lobster pot meal full lobster, dozen clams, clam chowder and corn, everything was cooked right and tasted good. Only complaint about this place was the service was very very slow and our waitress wasn't that friendly. Spent over $250 for 5 peoples meals and appetizers no alcohol.
Memorial Day weekend 2024: Went on Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend around 5:30-6p and it was moderately busy. Since it was nice outside and we had our dog, we sat outside. Ordered their bang bang shrimp as an appetizer and it was so tasty. My partner and I both ordered the twin lobster tails, and they were delicious. Hit the spot! Dog friendly, friendly staff, nice place. Would return if I’m in the area again. Labor Day Weekend 2024 Edit: We liked this place so much we came back, and I can only edit my old review, not post another. Came on Monday the actual day of Memorial Day for dinner with our dog and sat outside again. It was chilly but it was okay with a sweater. It was very slow there were hardly any customers at all. We were greeted by our server right away, and she got us our drinks and appetizers. However she disappeared for a long time after ordering apps, receiving the apps, and we finished our apps and we were wondering where she was. She finally came back and asked if we wanted to order more food, which I was taken back because we only order one appetizer for three people and it was the crab stuffed mushrooms which are $18 and come with 4 SMALL stuffed mushrooms. They were okay they were good but just okay. We ordered dinner finally and it came out in a reasonable time and the food was tasty like last time. We ordered the twin broiled lobster tails with green beans and mashed potatoes, lobster ravioli with 2 lobster claws on top in a lobster cream sauce with a side garden salad with thousand island dressing, and the prime rib with a side garden salad with thousand island dressing and French fries. Twin lobster tails: just as good as the first time, but the green beans were on the steamed side and weren’t soft. Prime rib: cooked to medium rare with a good au jus sauce. French fries are double fried which makes them so good. Salad- average. Lobster ravioli: the sauce was more of a vodka sauce and not a lobster cream sauce. The ravioli tasted like the frozen lobster ravioli I could get in the store. The lobster claws it was topped with, very tasty. Our service was pretty slow, drinks were good, and food was good. Probably would still come back here if I was back in the area. Overall I changed this review from a 4 to a 3 based on our Labor Day Weekend experience.
Very good experience. I read the reviews but I figured I'd give it a shot. We definitely enjoyed our meal! Ambiance: very cool vibe, neat decor Drinks: good martins but they need fill up the glass if you're gonna charge $$$ Food: Delmonico steak- cooked perfectly and very good. NY strip very good cut and cooked perfectly. Lobster was also very good. Appetizer- fried calamari was excellent strongly reccomend. Prices- a little high but normal for the tourist area of LG.
We ate at the lobster pot last evening. We sat at a table which had stacks of paper, signs, old menus, and such behind us, which made it very unappealing aesthetically. We began with the bang bang shrimp. In the description on the menu, it stated that it was Panko , We were expecting a nice light coating on the shrimp instead it was a thick floured coating. Also, it was a very apparent, It was deep-fried in an oil that hadn’t been changed in quite some time which overwhelmed the flavor of the shrimp. My husband got the special which was a steak with a 4 ounce tail. I am pretty knowledgeable about cuts of meat and was totally dumbfounded as to what was in front of him. It was tender, but it was more like a pot roast rather than a $50 meal. I got the full boil with the crab legs, lobster clams, and shrimp For $85. Included was supposed to be 3/4 of a pound of crab. I can tell you no way was there 3/4 of a pound! The boil was tasteless And came out cold, there was no seasoning on it. I did not even receive a lemon with my meal, which is pretty standard practice. We are from the area and love seafood we were looking forward to A nice fresh seafood dinner but we will definitely not be returning! I would like to add that our server was very helpful and attentive!
My girlfriend and I are here on a little getaway weekend and we love trying local spots when we go away. We look at Google reviews after since we don’t like to set the expectations before we come in. 3.4 Stars might be the most accurate rating to this experience i couldn’t imagined. While our waitress is a sweetheart and knows when she makes mistakes, she’s a space cadet. Brought the wrong meal, spilled oil, forgot a few things, doesn’t really listen. But like I said, she’s a sweetheart that seeks to fix her mistakes and I value that far more than a waiter that does everything correct but is rude or not attentive. The hostess was nice and helpful. The atmosphere feels very lowkey. The inside was awful so we opted to eat outdoors and it was a pleasurable experience. The bad part is the food. No it’s not terrible but for the price you pay for “market price seafood” it should at least be good. The king crab was overcooked and watery. The “vegetables” which were green beans were clearly canned. The potatoes were okay. The lobster tail was okay. The bread was really warm and felt fresh. The corn is.. corn. The salad and soups were honestly the best part (the dressing was mediocre). So while I sit and write, the $200 bill this meal for 2 will end up being is awful for a town that already has tons of overpriced food everywhere. The best part about this place is it feels like the only seafood place within walking distance of the lake. We didn’t hate our experience but if we were to ever come back here, we’re just getting appetizers and the assorted tacos for a quick bite.
Food was ok. Not great. Stick with the steamed lobster. Our group was disappointed with the other dishes
Ho-hum food and service for the price. I was in the mood for seafood and I thought this would scratch that itch. The only thing I loved was the Lobster Pot frozen punch, but I could swear there was less alcohol in my second drink. There was no bread on the table. They didn't give us enough butter or napkins without us asking. They didn't have California roll available when we visited and don't have lobster picks to get everything out of the lobster shells. Go somewhere else.
Had the scallops & rice everything was cold. My husband had green beans with his meal & they were also cold. Will not eat there again.
The ambiance and service were great, but the seafood quality needs improvement for a restaurant specializing in that cuisine. I’ve had various seafood dishes, but the flavors and tastes were lacking.
Cute little place on the main drag. Great outdoor seating and cute inside decor. Delicious cocktails. Food beware. Cooked for turn and burn. Overcooked lobster was rubbery (as if pre cooked and re heated to order) Clams so-so. “Fresh veg” was canned green beans. Dessert was also returned to the kitchen. My tummy can only take so much.
Me and my husbands first time in Lake George. Before going to the Airbnb, we decided to look for a seafood restaurant by the lake. I googled and shows three restaurants and one of them is this restaurant. We ordered and when our food came, was disappointed to see what I ordered. With the price, kind of expensive for their Lobster Pot and their Lobster sandwich. They could have done something with the presentation, to look more expensive. A nicer platter, maybe and a little garnishes. Also the location is not what I expected, it’s not by the lake. Our server is very nice though.
Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Portions were a little smaller than I was expecting given the prices, but in general, food was good. My husband got the crab boil, which was way over-seasoned (for both of us). He could not eat more than one bite. Shrimp scampi over pasta was delicious and had huge shrimp. My kids loved their fried shrimp and mini pizza. The crab artichoke dip was also good, however, we didn’t taste much crab. It was our first time here, but reading other reviews, it seems like consistency is lacking across dishes.
So I was going to say how the food was very good and waitress was very nice and attentive. But from the time we walked in other customers were complaining very loudly. I overlooked the man screaming about I believe his $5 for extra rice.🙄 But the couple across from us that ate 90 % of their meals were so loud and obnoxious I couldn’t enjoy my very $$ dinner. The waitress was literally screaming at them at the top of her lungs. Omg… escort them out and have management deal with them!! The manager was trying but failing at keeping situation under control. 🤢 It was so upsetting I started to feel sick and couldn’t finish my dinner. Too bad because our food was good.
The staff is friendly. However, the food was bland and the lobster was over cooked. The rice and kids pizza seemed to come out of packages.
The food was good and most of the waters/waitresses were nice except one who ruined the entire experience. She approached the kids as if she never dealt with kids in her entire life! At least at the very beginning, she could have been nicer, but unfortunately the attitude was alarming. I personally apologized for any inconvenience the kids may have caused, but her attitude didn't change and she didn't reply. If you have kids, this is not the place for you.
This place sounded great, as I wanted fresh seafood while on vacation. The only reason I gave it 2 stars, was because our server was great! The food and drinks, not so much. I got the Lobster Ravioli which was not impressive. Was supposed to have 2 lobster claws on top, there was like two small pieces of lobster, and it cost $36. The frozen daiquiris didn't taste like they had any liquor and they definitely we not made with fruit, most likely a mix of some kind. Payed $105 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Definitely not worth it. Will skip this place from now on!
We were very happy to find they had a section that is pet friendly. However, once seated we waited about 20 minutes before I had to ask a passing waitress to be helped as we hadn't received menu's yet. (It didn't appear busy enough for such a wait) Once we were ready to order we were informed the king crab legs pricing was $80/lb. which is over double what was on the menu ($36/lb.) and was way over market price. The lobster ravioli was good, the steamed clams were decent, and the whole lobster was mildly overcooked. We probably won't be going back anytime soon.
$58 for filet & lobster tail. Filet cooked well done, and not a quality steak by any stretch of the imagination. They charge $6 for bread. Really?! Service mediocre, Bill came to $210 before tip for 2 adults, 2kids. Don’t mind the expensive pricing, but when the experience is mediocre, it just makes you feel that they’re taking advantage of the customer by living off their location and not putting any TLC whatsoever into the process. Even the plastic outdoor furniture does not match the menu pricing. The Stone steps are falling apart, like they lead to an abandoned house. Strikes me as one of the places where the owners care more about the revenue coming in then actually delivering an excellent (or even positive) customer experience. The table next to us ordered two lobster pots at $89 each and sent them back, asked them to be taken off the bill and left without eating when their crab was the texture of beef jerky. We didn’t raise nearly the same fuss, but we’re equally disappointed.
My girlfriend and I went here on July 4th weekend. There was no wait to get a table either inside or outside which is odd for a Saturday night. We ordered a lobster bisque to start as an appetizer. It was thin, watery, and not very flavorful with no lobster chunks in it and for $13 it was just a small cup of soup only about 6-8 fluid ounces which is steep. We also ordered a California roll for the table. The roll was $12 ,it was just okay, the avocado within the roll was not ripe so it was firm and flavorless, I’ve had much better California rolls for less. As for the main dish we both got tacos, I got mahi mahi and my girlfriend got shrimp. The tacos were underwhelming and not filled enough. It says it came with lime wedges and avocado yet when it came out it did not. For $18 these tacos were disappointing. The positive about this place is that it has a fun nautical theme and the staff was friendly but the prices are way too high for what you’re getting.
First time and we are locals. The soda was flat. Mixed drinks, chowder and bread app was good and that where it ended. Barely saw our server, would have ordered more drinks to wash down the shotty food. No, Delmonico's to order so sufficed with NY Strip, not horrible but potato loaded with salt. Broiled platter was undercooked at best and tons of old bay seasoning. Got sick and had a bad allergic reaction from the seafood. Drinks were definitely expensive but half expected that. Not really interested in ever going back. Definitely run down and not what it used to be.
My son wanted to come to this restaurant while we were in Lake George.. I saw mixed reviews I can't give this four or five stars because everything was just really mediocre our service though waitresses were right on it. I must say it was the first time I had clam chowder with the very strong Taste of Rosemary in it but it was mediocre and lukewarm which isn't that great of a taste when you're having a hot clam chowder. The clam chowder was more like potato chowder I don't even think there was one clam in my chowder My son and I ended up splitting the full lobster pot. We come from New England where clambakes Lobster pots are done right This was just a very big disappointment especially for the price. Nothing was warm and they gave us an ounce of butter each. Not a drop of seasoning. Everything was kind of dried out. Also if you really want a good Seafood Pot I just suggest putting some potatoes a piece of sausage in there some seasoning like Old Bay is a very good cheater seasoning if you don't know how to season correctly and just one ear of corn is just unacceptable for an $85 Lobster Pot. If you like unseasoned lukewarm mediocre food this is definitely the place for you I would give one star but the service was definitely very good
Visiting the area. First time there. Wife and I ordered the full steam pot and oysters. Food came out and it was like it was cooked 20 mins before put on the side and than reheated. Best way I could explain it. It was very dry no moisture at all for a steam pot. Horrible. After notifing the manager. Acted like nothing happened . We will never go back again. It was unfortunate because there is really no seafood options in the area. Eat at your own risk.... Good luck
This place is terrible, they served us rotten scallops I almost threw up the second I tried to eat one omg. My whole diner was ruined. They offered me something different, wasn't really hungry after that but decided to order Chicken Alfredo. Well that was a mistake tasted like something you would get out of a day old trash can. My kids and wife's food was not good either. The drinks even tasted weird had to get something else because the coke was terrible. Terrible experience and won't be going back.
I loved the Lobster Pot for years and have recommended it to friends and family. Unfortunately, on the last few occasions the service had been subpar and the food has been average (at best). This year, I was craving the lobster bisque so we decided to give it another go. On a relatively quiet Sunday night, we sat outside where there was no wait. After being seated by the hostess, we waited over 15 minutes without a server acknowledging us. When two tables were sat after us and both were tended to, we elected to leave. After years of loyalty, we will not be coming back.
Underwhelmed!! Everything was over salted. Potatoes were on the brink of cold, but not quite Luke warm. The Ice Tea was weak and watery. Slaw was less than a 1/3rd cup. My husband ordered the prime rib. Had about 4 good mouths full and the rest was all fat. $98 for nothing. I was hungry when we left. I went back to camp and cooked us Mediterranean Tuna. I wish we never went out to dinner. Oh yeah... the 20 something wait staff had no clue how to serve the consumer. Move on. Eat Italian!!
We have always gone here when we visit lake george. It was our favorite. The only good I can sat is our waitress was wonderful. The hostess at the door was not very welcoming. The place was not crowded but she was acting like it was packed and she was rather rude. The food....once so great.....now not even close. For the prices they charge it should still be great. The food was very bland and dishes that should be hot were barely warm. I had lobster ravioli..with two lobster claws. Flavorless and the tiny tiny claws were very tough. Salad wasn't fresh and the soup was also Luke warm and tasteless. Very disappointing. We will never go again and we will not recommend d it to friend.
$127.00 for cold food tonight. Was not busy. Offered a ridiculous discount. I’m a local and that’s how we are treated. Won’t go back again. Surf and turf-all cold, my lobster and corn and veggies—- cold. . I left hungry. Shameful. Do better. We should not have to have paid for that, your establishment should be embarrassed .
This was horrible. Crab stuffed mushrooms were cold and uncooked. Pain getting them to take it off the bill. Ordered calamari to replace it and literally it came out in 14 seconds soggy an uncooked. We paid for what we ate but their signs outside mislead you and they add to price on the check. Spoke to the manager and his response was "there's nothing i can do about it" Then when i told him that the entire table should have been comped because of their lack of quality control, he shrugged his shoulders and just smiled. I told him he should consider my feedback on the quality and service (since the waitress had a smug negative comment at the end) or he's not going to be in business long once someone dies from undercooked seafood being served. Completely indifferent and again just shrugged his shoulders and smiled like he could care less. If you want to risk food poisoning this place is the place to go. Otherwise stay away. Pass the word
9 months ago is completely different then what we went through yesterday at the lobster pot. It was so disorganized even the waitresses looked very puzzled. I recommend to not eat the sushi the one I had was so watery it took away from everything. The wait was long understand short staff every where is like that. The meal itself took over an hour a few tables around us got their food a little bit before. We spent over 100 for the food which was not even that great. The service could have been better. Food was a total 180 from the last time which was disappointing won't be going back to many reasons. First time going here, we loved the out door seating! Everything was delicious
Was excited to Visit, but however the place is a trip hazard. We waited twenty mins- half hour to get noticed by a waiter, which she had no idea what she was doing… Spending over $100 for two people to have our food get taken from the Doordash….We waited over a hour and half for just our food to come out overcooked and dry… The bartender had no idea how to make two strawberry daiquiris, they were way to strong… Clam chowder was watery full of potatoes, fried scallops were dry and crunchy. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Wait staff to busy worrying about outdoor seating.wish I could rate 0 stars…
8/17/24, was seated by hostess, waiters and waitresses walked passed our table for 20 minutes without taking a drink order, acknowledging us, Letting us know someone will be right with us. Mean while bartender is looking right at us while speaking with guests. Never once was acknowledged by anyone after 25 minutes and left.
Please don’t waste your money. This place is extremely over priced for what you get. I ordered the shrimp and lobster pasta which was a whopping $38!! The dish was supposed to be in a vodka sauce. The sauce was literally canned, and the seafood and pasta over cooked. The other 2 people in my party ordered the twin lobster tails which were tiny and looked previously frozen. Their prices are outrageous and the food frankly sucks, definitely look elsewhere.
Went on 9-28-24 and this is honestly the first negative review I’ve ever left for a restaurant. Ordered surf and turf (medium rare on steak) Took 30+ minutes to get our food(maybe 20 people total in restaurant, not busy ) Waitress dropped food and was gone before I even had chance to look at it. Steak was burnt and cold. Lobster tail was cold. 15+ minutes go by before she came back to check on us and see I hadn’t touched steak. Terrible all around.
Overpriced food. Small portions. Definitely don't get the lobster ravioli unless you want to spend 40 dollars on 5 ravioli, and 2 lobster claws in "lobster sauce" with a side salad. The claws that came with the ravioli were overcooked and pasty. I assumed for that price it would have been a huge portion, but i was severely disappointed. Aside from that the service was good. Fries my daughter got with her meal were good too. Never going back.
This place is a must avoid!!! Food is horrible, drinks all taste like water. Service was horrible. Some family members of mine got sick from the pasta and shrimp and from the steak. They serve food in plastic containers, probably because of Covid but extremely sloppy. Will not eat here again.
Service great! Food… inedible. Seriously, I’m not picky…and very forgiving. Flies everywhere. So bland. Mushy scallops…tasteless sauces. Unless you know no better… just nasty 🤢
Very overpriced for the experience we had. The server was nice but all of our dishes were ~$30 and were not well cooked. The house salads looked like bagged salad. Rice in the shrimp scampi was undercooked. Chicken in pasta Alfredo was not freshly cooked. The crab cakes were mushy. Would not recommend for the price.
We were here for the past 2 years but usually mid to end of the week. We came on Monday, they were put of King Clab Legs so we ordered New England clam chowder, steamers, baked clams and calamari. We sat for 30 minutes waiting to be served. The clam chowder was like milk soup with barely any clams or potatoes. The calamari was okay but the sauce was cold. The steamers were brown and over steamed. Like chewing on rubber. Taste was awful. The baked clans cost $17.00 for half a dozen. A half dozen clam shells stuffed with butterbattered bread clumsy, no clams inside. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant in Lake George. No excuse for this.
Overall terrible except for our waiter, he was amazing and very kind. The food was terrible as in the kitchen managed to severely oversalt mashed potatoes and the vegetables were inedible. The seafood was so-so. Bay seasoning and salt seemed to be the only seasoning the kitchen knew how to use. The general atmosphere was okay- the decoations distracted from the dirty atmosphere and flies. I dont even want to know what their kitchen looks like.
Pretty gross place they served us fries on a broken dish. The mussels were disgusting unrecognizable bits of dry mushy grossness. The chowder was bland and the steamed lobster was small. To top it all off even though we didn't even finish eating one mussel they expected us to pay for it. Disgusting place save your money and go to lizze keays up the road.
After being seated at the table by our hostess, we sat for 25 minutes and one of us went up and requested a server for drinks and food because we already were seated with our menus and we’re ready to choose. Then at about 40 minutes, we asked again for a server and they said somebody will be right over. After 45 minutes in total of sitting there waiting for somebody, we decided to go elsewhere. The Service is absolutely horrible would not recommend Slightly overpriced, considering what it is
