FILO Lake Mary

Tried the brisket bowl and chicken bowl, and both were solid choices if you’re craving Mediterranean flavors with a bit of flair. The brisket was tender, juicy and surprisingly well-seasoned – not something you usually expect from a Mediterranean place, but it worked. The chicken was juicy with a nice char, and paired really well with the rice and fresh toppings. The bowls were loaded – rice, grilled veggies, hummus, and a punchy garlic or tahini sauce (pro tip: ask for both). Everything tasted fresh, portions were generous, and it didn’t feel heavy afterward. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for a quick, satisfying meal. Also, the staff was super friendly and welcoming

Fílo is a a Mediterranean restaurant, and I loved the experience! The concept is amazing—you get to choose the base, protein, and sides, and everything was super fresh, healthy, and well-seasoned. It was absolutely divine! The ingredients are top-quality, and you can put together a delicious and balanced meal. Plus, the service was excellent—everyone was super friendly and attentive. Definitely a place worth visiting again!

Filo was actually really really good tbh. So, naturally I compared it to Cava, right? Well, I had the Falafel Pita and my one gf had a Honey Balsamic Chicken Salad bowl. The pita was smaller than Cava's but the falafel was way better. No competition tbh. Plus, the food wasn't as salty. My one gf also really liked her chicken salad bowl. I'd say it's a bit less food but it tastes better. I also got a Burek (never had one before) and I would come here just for that. It was outrageously good. Will come here again.

They were really informative and friendly willing to explain everything to me. After assembling my bowl, I sat down to eat what ended up being the freshest most flavorful meal I’ve had in quite a long time. Not to mention, the portions were insane! I was so incredibly happy with my experience. I’ll be back again this week for sure.

Having visited Fílo in Lake Mary twice now, I can confidently say that this place has earned a spot on my list of favorite fast fresh Mediterranean restaurants. On both occasions, I indulged in their honey balsamic chicken… omg the flavor is so yummy that I felt compelled to write this review, despite my hesitation because I know how popularity can make hidden gems harder to enjoy. From what I gather, the food is fresh as in made daily—and honestly you can taste it. The homemade quality shines through in every bite. Their approach to ordering is similar to other modern eateries where you walk up and order at the counter and customize your meal. You start by choosing your base: pita, greens, rice, or even fries (their “street” option). Ok, even their greens are exceptional—far from your basic watery or limp salad. One variety has a light garlic seasoning, possibly kale, while the other is a mild yet flavorful romaine blend, reminiscent of a caesar without the overpowering tang. My husband opted for the street base with fries both times, and I’ll attach a picture for comparison— you can see mine is so bright and fresh and his has that like street fair carnival vibe. Don’t quote me but I snuck a fry and I don’t think they were frozen kind. If so, they didn’t give off the weird oil aftertaste or dusty middle. So you have your base then come the toppings, and the selection is pretty hearty, healthy options like roasted cauliflower and carrots to hummus, tabbouleh, and other Mediterranean staples, but every topping is packed with fresh, herbaceous flavor. So you can keep it light or go all-in for a more indulgent bowl. By the time you reach the register, you’re greeted by their dessert offerings—tiny but mighty. They offer traditional baklava alongside a unique version that I believe incorporates tahini. These sweet treats are the perfect size to satisfy your craving without feeling overindulgent. Now don’t laugh but even their soda fountain stands out! It isn’t a major brand co, but the machine offers all the usual flavors. Unlike some local competitors where the drinks taste like off-brand soda water, their drinks are crisp and flavorful. It’s a small detail, but it adds to the overall experience when you’re sipping something delicious alongside your meal. Now, here’s the ultimate praise: their honey balsamic chicken is so good it makes me do a little happy dance—what I call “the shimmies.” It’s tender, flavorful, and unlike anything I’ve had elsewhere. Fyi - only downside is not a lot of seating. I can’t remember if there were tables outside but I can see this being an issue if a lunch rush and you want to sit. If you’re in Lake Mary, this is a must-try. Just don’t make it too popular—I still want to be able to get a table!

Yes, this is another "bowl" restaurant, but this is definitely the best one around! It was my first time coming here and the customer service was great! The employee walked me through all the different options and even offered to let me sample the meats before committing to one. I ordered a salad with the Harissa Brisket and it was so good and everything tasted so fresh. I also got a side order of fries (they take extra time to cook, but it was worth the wait). I can't believe it took me so long to try this restaurant, but I will definitely be back!! Most of the food is gluten free as well.

We were highly impressed with this fast casual Mediterranean restaurant. My husband got the market bowl (bed of rice) and I got the street bowl (bed of fries), which takes slightly longer for them to prepare but it was well worth it. The fries are seasoned well and were excellent dipped in the garlic sauce. All the flavors were perfect and we went near opening time on a Saturday so everything was fresh and warm. Make sure you get a side pita with your bowl. This place is even better than Cava and I only wish we had one closer to us in Winter Park!

Could not get enough of it! The meat was so flavorful, you can really tell it’s cooked with care and perfect blend of spices. The lamb was definitely my favorite! The portions are generous and worth every bite. I was also amazed by how tasty the toppings were, the cilantro sauce and tzatziki were absolutely amazing. On top of that, the people who took care of us were very attentive and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I was looking for a spot to get some Greek food and stumbled upon a new place here in Lake Mary called FÍLO Mediterranean kitchen. It’s only been open since November 2024 so literally a year and about two months. But let me tell you this place is GREAT! The food is delicious choosing from falafels, salads, gyros and rice bowls which the rice bowls are my favorite especially with the honey balsamic chicken which is made from scratch everyday. The ambience is relaxing with chill out music, it’s very clean and the service was great with a smile. I dined in with my friend Jessica and we both enjoyed it. No complaints! Thank you Eri, Jaylin, Olivia, Javian and Yislen for AWESOME premiere customer service and for making AMAZINGLY delicious food!

We were able to go to this restaurant and couldn't be happier we went. Everything was so fresh and seasoned perfectly. We were undecided on all the wonderful protein options and got to sample each one to make a decision. All the options were amazing! The portions were wonderful. We got to try one of their cookies and were impressed. Sweet and salty, a wonderful balance that we ate up quickly. We cannot say enough positive about this local family owned restaurant!!

A great spot for good service, great food and an easy ordering experiencing. Compared to similar, more corporate-forward places, Filo offers a better tasting and cost-competitive option. Not pictured is the Tahini Cookie that I will be dreaming about until I go back. Highly recommend!

I had an excellent experience! The fries in my street bowl were made to order and seasoned nicely! The harissa brisket was tender, flavorful, and I got a fair portion! The garlic hummus and especially the spicy feta dip were super flavorful, and the garlic yogurt sauce was the perfect way to top everything off! I absolutely want to come back to try one of the rice bowls, so I can incorporate more of their unique veggie toppings that I just didn’t think would pair well with fries.

Great food. We had the gyro meat with rice, chicken with rice, side of fries, falafel and pita bread. Chocolate chip cookies has salt on top, not my preference. I will return to try the lamb and rice. Overall excellent food and the 3 individuals working were amazing with excellent service.

Food is cooked well and it's flavorful, but here's why I'm giving it 3 stars... it's too flavorful and different... There should be a star of the show, or two, but instead everything is strongly flavored and different from each other. By the time I add a strongly flavored base with a strongly and differently vegetable and a strongly but again differently flavored protein, it's all confused. I'm not sure what I'm eating at that point and it loses a lot.
