Gator's Dockside Lake Nona receives praise for its friendly service, especially from servers like Amanda, Nick, and Zoe. Customers enjoy the atmosphere and the gator appetizers. Some reviewers mention inconsistent food quality, particularly with wings and slow service at times.
Tip: Visit on Thursdays for the kids' section or try the gator appetizers for a unique experience. Be aware that wing quality can be inconsistent.
I was visiting the Orlando FL location. Someone said it was good so I decided to try it. I ordered a to go order at the bar and had a drink while I waited. For a Saturday late afternoon it wasn't that busy. I was greeted within a minute of sitting down. I appreciated being offered the daily specials without asking. They have a special every day of the week. I had a double shot of Captain Morgan with Pineapple juice. I ordered the lemon pepper wet wings and southwest egg rolls. I was asked if I'd like the wings crispy, which was a sign, they DO know how to make wings. There were sports channels to watch and games I could play. The atmosphere gave a vibe of sports, wings and chill with friends. When I got to the house, I was pleased to taste the perfect amount of sauce on my crispy lemon pepper wings. The egg rolls hit the spot with the combination of seasonings, chicken, black beans, corn, tomato and Mexican cheeses inside a perfectly fried egg roll wrap. The chipolte sauce took it to another level. With so many other items on the menu, I will definitely circle back for more.
It was my first time in Florida and I knew I had to try Gator. This restaurant was a wonderful place to experience it for the first time. They accommodated our large group with ease and even moved us to a quieter area so we could hear each other. Two Gator appetizers covered our table of 7. I would describe it as having the texture of ham with the taste of chicken, that may not sound very good but trust me it is. I also had a smash burger with avocado instead of cheese and it was delightful. Our wonderful server Faith made sure we had a fantastic time here, I would go again.
Lake Nona, FL. It’s the best Gators Dockside I ever been to. People here look like Bass Pro Shop or Academy Sports people. Baseball team was here celebrating, a couple wearing camouflage outfits walked in, servers wear shorts and football jerseys. I liked my salad enough. Most of the menu is deepfried, tho. Love the gator on the wall.
10/10 My first time trying Alligator I't was great experience in my life ever I love to try everything I loved it You have to try it the food was delicious and the Atmosphere was great the lady shy served us she was amazing and helpful. on more thing we hade a really funny experience with the lettuce salad
This is a great place to go. If your hungry on Thursday they also have a big section that is for kids. They have lots of TVs and a bunch of video games to play. I really liked the golf game. It definitely is different and it was brand new with plenty of parking. We definitely are going back there again. The bartenders are really nice and helpful.
The food came out faster than I thought, the tea was good, and they give military discount. And as you can see anyone can win the prize, this little girl won three times in a row.
Excellent food and excellent service. I got to try gator for the first time!

Food was great, but Miss Amanda Selby was so amazing, she went beyond to make sure I got the a great experience and a delicious meal. 5 Stars for her.

Stopped here late night recently. Waitress was extremely nice and patient. We had a party of 8. 6 Adult and 2 Young children. Food was pretty good, better than expected. Respectfully.
I don’t know why we delayed trying Gators. It was such a great experience. Food amazing. Service great. And such a good deals every day of the week!
A group of us did lunch here. We were seated right away, and the waitress was very friendly. The food is decent. I ordered chili and shrimp pasta. The chili was good, but shrimp pasta was mediocre. The fettuccine was off. My guy got the wings, and he liked them - teriyaki grilled. The appetizers were all good. Shrimp, big and crunchy; gator tails, good; steak bites were okay and mushrooms. My rum punch was good, too. The restaurant is nice and spacious and I liked the decor. He also ordered gator chili on a different visit and said it was good.
This is a beautiful clean location here in Lake Nona. Marcus was our sever and was excellent! Happy to see us and give me and my friend time to talk and hang out. The wings are excellent! Coming back soon!

Walked in got help right away, made a Togo order of fried mushrooms and gator bites. The gator bites looked like the last crumbs out of every batch, and the mushrooms were ok. I had to eat on the run so I didn't get to go back in and ask about the gator bite size. Since I was on my lunch break. Ive eaten. A a few gator dockside locations so I hope thats not the new norm for the one thing I really like on the menu.
Food was good, but the service was fantastic! Our server Nick was such a great guy. We sat on the closed-in patio and brought our dog. Nick and the other servers were so sweet to our senior dog. I'd go back just for the service! Thank you for such a nice time, Nick! We did enjoy the gator bites, chicken wings and burger.

Service is always great, but the food is going downhill. Tonight we were served burnt wings.
The food was good, I love the gator sauce and wings. It's always my go-to, as well as the tater tots. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It was just 20 mins before our server came to ask what we would like to drink. After being seated there were workers everywhere, we attempted toake eye contact with anyone who walked by to see if anyone of them were for our table. It wasnt crowded when we first sat, and they had more workers standing around waiting, then there were customers sitting. By the time our server did come we went ahead and made her put our orders with our drinks, because we knew it was going to be a while before we saw her again. She was friendly, but struggled remembering our orders. So we had to assist her a lot. She seemed as though she was preoccupied, plus it was a lot of young employees working there. So this may very well have been her first job. But she was very friendly and we were patient with her. The food did come out in a good time, and they have a small arcade area with grab and pick machines that the kids loved. So great spot for friends and family, as well as game night. Just understand the servers may take some time to engage.

The place was nice inside but that's about it. The food was horrible. Wife ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, couldn't bite it, had to use a knife and fork and it was still super hard. My soup was cold, fish and chips just tasted old with no flavor. Service was also not good, we waited a very long time just to order after we were seated and seemed to be forgotten about most of the time.

We've been to a few gators through out the years, and for a place who really made their name on their wings, we were highly disappointed with this location. Ordering twenty wings, fried extra crispy and to have them come out basically like they were boiled and thrown in different sauces was a major let down. The skin was so chewy we had to send them back, and not to mention they were half the size they have been in the past. We stated we don't have an issue waiting extra time just to have them fried crispy, but when they finally came back out, it was still basically just chewy wings in different sauces. Our waitress was nice and tried her best, but then disappeared after our entrées came out.
This location is close to my home, and overall, the experience was great. There was a short wait when we arrived—about 7 to 8 minutes—which felt a little off since the restaurant wasn’t too busy, possibly due to limited staffing. Our waitress, Zoe, was kind and apologetic, and it was clear she was working hard to give great service. The ribs were absolutely delicious and stood out as the highlight of the meal. The mac and cheese wasn’t quite what I expected—it had a watery texture, which made me wonder if that was intentional. The gator tots were a nice surprise; my son and I both enjoyed them. He also liked his shrimp Alfredo pasta, though he mentioned the sauce was a bit watery as well.
Ordered the parm crusted grill cheese and Cuban. Dish very much lacked anything fresh on the plate. A bit greasy. House chips didn't seem homemade recently. Overall seemed clean. There are lots of other choices in the neighborhood. Servers nice but slow. It's a 1 and done.
I was a bit disappointed with this Gators @ LK Nona. The food was definitely not up to par. Everything tasted frozen. Drinks were super watered down. Staffing was very inexperienced and somewhat lacked training which is maybe why the food was not as excellent as usual at other Gator’s. This location is fairly new so I will give it another try.

All you can eat wings on mon and wed is a gimmick. They load you up with fries and then they purposely wait 30 mins between serving so you either get full or leave. It’s not the server because it’s every time so they must have instructions to hold the wings. Drinks on happy hour are also watered down. Otherwise things are good and I wish service and food on mon and wed were just as good as Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Very bad experience, I went with my daughter and grandson, they didn't want us to sit down, everything took a long time and it bothered the waitress that there was a child, and to top it off the ticket went wrong and they wanted to charge us what wasn't.

Such a disappointment! I've been wanting to come here for a while and finally did. We sat at the bar and Christina provided inattentive service at best. We had to ask for every little thing and had empty drinks the majority of the time. The burger was over cooked and flavorless and fries tasted like the only seasoning was the fryer oil.
