Definitely one of the best burgers my wife and I have ever had! The bassburger. We also got the tri tip sandwich which was also the best I’ve ever had. Definitely try it out

We stopped by Basshole during our weekend trip, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the whole stay. It’s just a 3-minute drive from our cabin and had that cozy, laid-back small-town vibe we love. The service was friendly and casual, and the food was surprisingly great. We ordered a mix of items to try and everything hit the spot: Crispy Buds (Brussels sprouts) – These were next-level. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and addictive. Easily a 10/10. we ordered two times. Spicy Chicken Burger – Not super spicy, but super tasty. Juicy, well-seasoned, and really satisfying. 9/10. Sweet Chili Wings – Saucy and full of flavor. Great balance of sweet and tangy. 8/10. Buffalo Wings – Classic, solid wings. Not our favorite of the bunch, but still good. 7/10. We also got a shroomy burger which was a little to undercooked for my grandmas liking but not a big deal, she still ate it and it still tasted good, if it was cooked properly we would give it a solid 8.5/10 The atmosphere was relaxed, with a mix of locals and visitors, and it felt like everyone knew each other in the best way possible. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back after a day at the lake and enjoy a cold drink and some good food. By the way if you got late late, its the party of the town almost every night we were there, if you want more relaxed food experience go before 5pm. But if you want that night life expereice and share a beer or two with some awesome people than follow the music.... you will find a party haha Highly recommend if you’re in the area—this place has great eats, good vibes, and is super convenient if you’re staying nearby. Also DOG FRIENDLY!!!

Don’t be discouraged by the outside appearance. Once you step inside it’s a warm friendly atmosphere with a great staff. There’s free pool and plenty of tvs for sports. They also take pride in their menu. The food comes out fast and fresh. We had the tacos, wings and a salad.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Basshole Brews! My daughter and I stopped in for lunch and were blown away by the delicious food and amazing cocktails. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was exceptional. A special shoutout to our server, Rochelle—she was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. She even had great recommendations for both the menu and the cocktails, which were some of the best we’ve had in a long time! Basshole Brews is definitely a gem, and we’ll be back again soon. If you’re looking for a place with great food, drinks, and fantastic service, this is it!

Second time stopping here on a road trip from Sea to SF. Always DELICIOUS food & excellent service. Rochelle took great care of us! We’ll be back.

Came here not too long ago with my mom and my dog, we sat out back and relaxed. The menu always has some great variety and the beer was cold and tasty! Great value for the food.

Tim the bartender was the highlight of our experience. So charasmatic, hospitable, and professional. The Basshole is lucky to have such an employee. The food was delicious, beers fresh, and cocktails well balanced. We greatly enjoyed our experience with Tim at the Basshole.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid and it was purchased by a local family here in lakehead in the recent years. Since then the food, service, and atmosphere has been a top notch staple in the small town of lakehead! Highly recommended

I'm just a dirty hippie using the EV charger outside. There is NO WAY I could have imaged this mushroom burger with amazing fresh greens and generous everything (meat, cheese, grilled onions). 6 out of 5, no notes.

This place was shockingly good! We just needed to pull over for some food on a road trip, but I was pleasantly surprised! They had indoor and outdoor seating, which was nice because we have a baby and only eat outdoors since the pandemic. Every person was extremely nice and helpful to us, including the patrons! It was fun and funky inside too. I expected the food to be run-of-the-mill dive bar stuff, but it was actually awesome! Fun and unique and absolutely good food! I got these amazing little corn nugget jalapeno popper things even though I don't like jalapenos, but they weren't spicy and we're just perfect. For dinner, I got this island pulled pork sandwich with tater tots that was completely unique and delicious! Someone in that kitchen knows what they're doing! I would have eaten more, but I was stuffed 😊 highly recommend.

Great pub with delicious grub. The basshole burger was very tasty though quite heavy. Came with a thick beef patty and a slather of caramelized onion and a slightly tangy sauce. Big serving of fries too. The chicken sandwich was pretty good too. I liked the grilled flavour and the slaw sauce as well. Came with housemade chips. Service was attentive and friendly. Would recommend! They also have electric chargers outside.

This is mine and my boyfriends first time in California and we stopped to eat at Basshole Brews, definitely did NOTTTT disappoint. Our food was absolutely amazing and the people were super friendly. Will be back if we ever come to Cali again! :)

Stopped here coming down from WA. The name by itself will draw you in, but once you’ve sat down and tasted the food, you’ll get it. It was incredible. One of the best burgers I’ve had, the service was fast and friendly. The whole joint had a very fun vibe to it. 10/10 would recommend!

If you are in Lakehead, make this a go-to stop! We live in Redding and come up here for the draft beer and food. Our latest trip was with friends the day after Thanksgiving and we ordered beer and appetizers. Couldn't believe that they had Fort George Stout!

We stumbled upon this place in the late evening, and it was such a delight. We had the best black bean burger and the staff were so friendly with our group of 5 people.

Stopped in for a quick burger while traveling through and wow, so glad we did! We ordered the smash burgers and they were delicious! Even the shoestrings fries were good and I don’t normally even like those. You have to try the onion bacon jam. We got it on the side and I wanted to slather all my food in it. I’m sure at night, this is a fun watering hole. During the day for burgers, it was quiet. Would stop here again anytime we are passing through.

My husband and I finally tried this place out after hearing good things about it from others. It was the perfect date night to get delicious food and drinks! Very spacious with a bar seating, booths, a pool table and patio seating! We ordered the Cowboy Bob Bites and devoured them in seconds it seemed like. We can’t wait to pop in again!

The food here was very good. They have a vegetarian black bean burger that I had and it was very delicious. The fries here are some of the best I have had.

I'm writing this from the parking lot before I leave because I want to make SURE I write this, and at 9PM with a 7hr drive ahead of me that's not a guarantee. I dropped in to get dinner "to go" on my way to Portland, and was lucky enough to squeak in just before a half hour till closing (I hate being That Person, but there's N O T H I N G on the way up north from here that's open at night). Even this late, they were gracious enough to not make my request feel like a problem, which, a half hour to closing? Yea, that's rude of me, and I would deserve a dirty look. (Do Not Come In A Half Hour Before Closing Here. Not Even Though I'm Saying They Were Nice About It. Don't Be That Person.) It was pretty slow - a few patrons here and there, both inside and out, with the feeling of a place where everybody knows each other, even if you're a stranger just passing through. The staff are all deeply friendly and helpful. The gentleman who took my order advised me on what would be best to eat in the car, since from the menu I could tell my usual query of "So what's best?" would be meaningless - EVERYTHING sounds amazing! I ordered the roasted Brussel sprouts and the French dip, and neither were at all what I was expecting... because they were BETTER. The Brussel sprouts hit you hard with what tastes like maple syrup up front, and then fade to a somehow deliciously burnt taste that takes the intensity off the sweetness. The French dip didn't come with dip (likely as a nod to my intent to drive while eating), but instead is almost more like...barbeque? The meat is tender and not at all stringy, the cheese adds a nice subtlety, and as promised, the sandwich is NOT drippy at all! The fries also are delightfully crunchy, holding that crunch long past the point most fries sag into sogginess.(See photos attached!) I got a beer during the VERY short time I waited (local microbrew, Farmers something, a light beer? but somehow still decent!), and chatted a bit with the staff and a few other patrons (and the owner, I discovered halfway through a discussion about beer!). I also got to try the blackberry blonde on tap, which was DELICIOUS. Since I'm passing through and have been traveling a fair bit, plus I have a kiddo, I was mostly keeping my mask on in case my kiddo gave me something to "share," but even though I was the only person masking nobody gave me a hard time about it, which I'm grateful for (I've heard some Not Great stories about people being sh*tty to folks still masking this far into the pandemic). It was a very nice way to spend a bit of time before the ridiculously long drive, and I'm REALLY glad I found this place on Google. Going to have to make this a regular stop on my way through!

I had the tortilla soup and OH MY GOSH it was delicious! Tons of chicken, amazing flavor. Topped with homemade tortilla strips ! Excellent There is indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is limited but good. The prices are average. There are pool tables here. They also have a full bar, but they don't always have all the alcohol. The bathrooms are clean. Tons of parking.

They make about 90% of everything in house including their BBQ sauce-they roast their tomatoes for 4 hours for their BBQ sauce. They are working on bottling that sauce which they need to- damn good!!!

One of the best American burgers I’ve tasted. We got the basshole burger and the chicken burger. The basshole burger was packed with flavor punch and every bite is a bliss. It was served with hook fries and it was fresh. Additional we also got chicken wings with sweet chilli sauce. Their service was also good and the waiter made sure we were fully satisfied. Overall a great experience.

Good enough 🤷‍♀️ it came out quickly and was edible, but not a semblance of spice to be found on our spicy chicken sandwich. Really appreciate that it was a thigh, but the breading was under-seasoned, there was no "smothered in spicy sauces" and the slaw is sweet and over-dressed. Almost soupy. Great ideas, was looking forward to the sandwich described on the menu, poorly executed. The lady's room was pristine and smelled delightful. Definitely appreciate that. The decor was awesome, it was a comfortable quick bite and we'll be back if we pass by again.

Finally when our order was taken the waitress sat at the table to take our order and for me it displays a trashy work ethic and a degree of unprofessionalism. Our food was brought out by different individuals and the orders were wrong. The things asked not to add to our order were added and little particulars that we made a point to clarify were overlooked. Like for instance the person I was dining with said they didn't mind cheese on their burger and any kind of cheese except cheddar would be fine. Please do not put cheddar on my burger. And cheddar was added to the burger. Plus the burger was burnt so burnt it was not edible. When we brought to the servers attention they looked confused and didn't know what to do. I asked for no onions or mayo and onions were on my burger. At that point we were a little disappointed about the whole experience and didn't even feel it was worth it to complain about. When we left my friend accidentally left her wallet and didn't notice till she got home back in dunsmuir. The place was closed by then so she went back the next day and of course no wallet was found. She asked to see the video footage and had to wait hours for the footage to be available. The footage looks cut and doesn't make sense. But of course it doesn't show her leaving the wallet or anyone finding the wallet. Cuz pieces of the footage are missing. Seems suspect if you ask me. The video is attached for your opinion.
