Love Bush's Chicken. I'm from Albuq., NM. Every time I visit my sister in Austin, TX, a visit or 2 is a must. Love the Gizzards!!

The food is always good but what I really enjoy is the friendly staff.

Can't go wrong with the chicken here, always fresh and hot, the service is great too. Even with covid-19 the service is polite and quick.

Been a while. And wow, chicken was hot and fresh. Was a good choice for lunch on the way through town. Went through the drive and it didn't take long at all.

I lunched with a friend who got the 3 piece, gravy and a roll and a gallon of sweet tea. I got the 8 piece gizzard with okra , roll, gravy and a drink meal deal . Both were excellently cooked , lightly breaded, and a true meal quantity.

They got the chicken right so not really anything I can complain about but and I say this with reservation if you wanted to make it a little bit better put a picnic table out underneath the oak tree on the property people might enjoy that little better than sitting inside

Just passing through town, and this place was so delish with great friendly customer service! The chicken has light crispy breading and isn't greasy. These are the best crinkle cut fries I've ever had, and the salty crispness compliments the creamy gravy perfectly. Plus the people are super nice and they're hella quick. They had three lines going through their drive-thru. They were super fast, in fact I don't see how they can go that fast. Chicken was wonderful.

When I'm on lunch break from the Cattle barn I always go get my gizzards ($7.34) and it's well worth it everything else on the menu, well worth it. Clean,organized,friendly ,on point enough said.✌️

We were traveling to San Antonio from Dallas and decided to have lunch at Bush Chicken in Lampasas TX. We ordered and before I could finish washing my hands our food was at the table. The young lady working there I believe her name was Marquita. She was everywhere. She took our order, placed our food at the table, cleaned the dinning area and then went and cleaned the restroom. The entire staff moved and operated so efficiently to be short handed. The chicken was golden brown and tasted really good. If we ever pass thru again I will be sure to stop in and eat.

Went here for lunch today. They had a huge crowd and it was only a 15 minute wait for the freshest chicken I've had in a long time. Their service is great and everyone is really friendly despite being super busy. Definitely recommend.

Hubby and I traveling through and decided to stop at Bush's Chicken because we wanted to eat where we have never ate before. The parking lot was full of vehicles, so that was a good sign. Hubby had two baked chicken thighs with slaw and I had liver/gizzard combo with mashed potatoes and gravy. We both had tea - one sweet and one not. General Manager gave me a little sugar in a cup because I like my tea a hint of sweet, not Southern sweet. Place was clean, even the bathroom. General Manager, I wish I would have got his name, was so sweet and kind while he was working hard. He was helping everywhere. The food is top notch. Y'all go to Bush's Chicken when you visit Lampasas, TX. You will not be disappointed.

We stopped here on our way home from Austin to San Angelo. The food was well cooked and delicious and service was quick. The staff was amazing, especially Markita (so sorry if I spelled your name wrong) She was so friendly and helpful and really made our day. We would definitely stop here to eat again whenever we are going through town.

Tender Tuesday is a family favorite! The car line was not th too long. I only waited a couple minutes for my order to taken. There were a total of 6 cars in front of me total between 3 lanes. The car hooked was friendly. My order came in no time at all. The sides and meat were all in the ed order just as I placed it. They even put extra napkins in my bag! I will be back soon for mor of this comfort food goodness.

This place has good hot chicken, and the service is usually pretty good. My small family chose to dine in even though the lobby was closing before too long. The staff had no problem with it and were helpful and courteous. So much so, I felt the need to leave a $5 tip on the table for their kindness, and the very small mess that was made. They do have their off days, but what business doesnt. Will be eating here regularly

Generally, a good place to eat. The staff is friendly and courteous and the food is reasonably priced. And they give treats to your dogs.

Driving from Dallas to San Antonio on 281. Stopped at Bushs Chicken. Great chicken and okra. Got the wrinkles out of my stomach.

Came through Killeen for a quick stop and found this chicken spot. Chicken and rolls are a must. I'm picky about my fried chicken but this place had great chicken. You will love this spot!!!!

Normally everything is pretty good but the last 2 times I have ordered my orders been wrong, they were very nice about the 1st time, they replaced the whole meal but when I went to get the meal and got home with it i was still missing part of it. I called and told them about it again and they apologized

Tenders, gravy and rolls were good as usual but outside order service was slow, disorganized and overall they seemed shorthanded. Staff was friendly and quick once order was placed.

Chicken was good. Menu has little variety, you get what is advertised. I might like more options of sizes (piece count) for order.

Food is good. Service is usually decent. The guy that helped us today was pretty abrupt but not outright rude.

I'd gladly give this place 5 stars if not for one big problem. Before I complain, I'll say that the staff is nice and works hard, and the food is delicious, not to mention that they constantly give you more than you ask for, which is fantastic! However, the reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because their drive-thru line is ATROCIUS. It's a big lot with room for three lanes but it's so horribly managed that people constantly cut. I don't mind a long wait, but when I have to keep an eye out the whole time to make sure people don't but in front of me, I can't stand it. Fix this and I'll gladly give this establishment 5 stars.

This is a good place to stop when passing through Lampasas. The food is always hot every time we come here and the customer service is great also. They are very friendly and your are always greeted with warm smiles.

The customer service is great and the workers are wonderful. There is never perfect but I am telling you no imperfect could get you to turn away from this place. I think there food is great, the are clean, and on top of there game. Also met an owner and she is wonderful to the point I know I am also giving my money to good people.

Great place to get a good deal on tenders on Tuesdays . Any other day it's hard to say this but it's overpriced. A 6 tender meal with roll and one side is 9$ now. Way too much for what you get.

It seems every time I get something here anymore something comes up wrong with my order and I'm always going through drive through so I don't get to check it until I get home. Which is almost a half hour away for me . I mean I paid $3 plus dollars for 12 small very small pieces of corn and Cornbread fried together that's ridiculous. Last time I got an order to go I ordered extra mashed potatoes for family meal got home no mashed potatoes and gravy had one I needed two.

Their chicken is good. They need to spruce up the place some. Clean, orderly appearance builds confidence in the product being purchased. I liked they had someone outside taking orders, assisting.

The Parking lot needed trash attention, one employee went behind the dumpster and was smoking (not commercial) and the restroom both needed cleaning, food was hot and delicious as usual for Bush's. Service was OK, the young Lady could have spoken a little louder and clearer, but she was polite and respectful.

Chicken was just warm and not fresh. It was only 6:10pm chicken should have been fresh and piping hot!!! And you have to ask for prices because they are not posted.

I love bush’s and it’s always my reward meal after a track meet or bad days, but recently I’ve been disappointed. The past two times I’ve gone I’ve had the same woman taking my order and she rushed everything my mother said and didn’t take our order properly. I asked for light ice in my Dr Pepper and she filled it up to the brim, I also asked for a honey mustard and it was not put in there. This was the last time I went around 2 weeks ago. I went again today and asked for the same order with a Dr Pepper with light ice and honey mustard as an add on and I check my box and not only is there no honey mustard but my Dr Pepper is sweet tea. How hard is it to listen when taking a simple order. I’ve never had this problem any other servers I wish I would’ve gotten her name I’m so disappointed but other than that the foods good.

I would have given them a 4 at least even at 4.5, but, the last few months the French fries have just gone downhill they don't cook them enough or they're cold and soggy. They The chicken is great.

Very slow service and priced way too high for what you get. Need more competition in town and I hear it's coming.

Took over 10 min to take a drive thru order, there was only 1 car in front of me. When I got the chicken home it was only Luke warm and way to crunchy lije it was over cooked, chicken pieces were very small. I don't recommend this bushes to anyone till it gets straighten out.

Just spent $25. on food that was inedible. The chicken was dry and over cooked, the roll was smashed flat, the cole slaw was hot from being put in the box with the chicken and leaked on everything. The ice machine door was wide open with flies buzzing around it and none of the employees were wearing masks or gloves. The employees were handling the chicken and rolls with bare hands instead of tongs.

Mediocre at best. 2 out of 4 orders were wrong when brought to the table. Wouldn’t have eaten here, but family members from out of town wanted to eat here. Enter at your own risk !

First time to experience all 3 at the same time. At any eatery. 1. Inflation 2. Shrinkflation 3. Poor quality food. We both fed most of our meals to the fox. Truly disappointed in a local eatery that we have frequented for many years.

Most expensive chicken in Texas 8 bucks for 4 tenders the size of my fingers and waited 20 mins to find out they forgot my food when only one other customer was in there I'ma boycott this place it is terrible all I got was a sorry

Worse experience. My kids got served bloody chicken managers were rude. Corporate dont care. Never again.

Was in at 2:30 pm only one employee was wearing a mask properly, one had it under his chin and the others didnt have a mask at all. There were 3 people inside waitingfor service and only one of them was wearing a mask. Maybe Bush's doesnt require masks but they lost a me as a customer i left without ordering.

Call ahead.... they tell you yea it will be longer then the time you get here.... get there expecting a wait... told 20 minites after paying.... watching TONS of chicken being made and go out being made and go out... Only ordered 10 piece family meal..... and still no food.....

Today I went to Bushs Chicken and we got totally inappropriate customer service... first they were all rude and snipity... Then they couldn't separate the sides without having common sense or to talk to us with manners.

We went thru the drive thru today to get lunch and take it to the river park for a picnic. We decided to park and use restroom after getting our food. The bathroom smelled like a full blue porta potty on a hot day. This was not a passing odor, it's an embedded odor.It was awful. The floors are beyond gross. The toilets were clean but the floors--you would need a scraper to get all the black crud off the floor. It was so gross, if I had seen it before we ordered, I would have just left. Makes me wonder if the women's restroom is this gross, what does the kitchen look like. The ducks at the park got a big lunch today, cause we couldn't eat it after that. Didn't get the coleslaw we ordered either. I will say the staff for the drive thru were very polite, helpful and the food was served very quickly. But I can't get past that bathroom.

Just left.. Spent $25. Tipped my 15% cause the sign said they were short staffed and to be patient. Waited forever, okay. Nah. F that just close. My husband's order is COMPLETELY wrong. Our extra rolls are a quarter of the normal size. The bread is bad. THIS IS DISGUSTING. And no plastic ware. Still 40 minutes from the house so I'm not going back but this is bs.

I was in the drive thru and there was about 6 or 7 vehicles. I was in the middle at the beginning. No one asked if i had been taken care of yet. Everyone else had been taken of with service. When the last vehicle got served i told the teenager kid that i still need to place my order. His response was yeah i know. I drove off and then decided to go back and lodge a complaint with the manager. Managers said he didn't mean anything by it. I took it as the manager didnt care and told him i won't be back anymore. I deserve better customer service.

They ran out of fried chicken at 7:00 on a Sunday. But, they offered baked chicken and threw in an extra piece. Unfortunately, the baked was so dry and salty that it was barely editable. Also had the most tasteless okra I've ever had.

This is a franchise owned by a multimillion dollar developer. I just walked in and they want you, the average Joe in Lampasas to pay 3% extra to use your debit card. While I know the law recently changed allowing this, it is a terrible practice for a fast food business. I am not paying your credit card fees. As a retailer, I find that to be the least customer friendly position you can take. I will not ever eat there unless you treat all paying customers equally. Even your employees acted like this was a problem with many people and felt helpless to do anything to save their business. I know my 10 bucks don’t matter in your grand scheme but my vocal displeasure with your policy just might hurt you and get you a few mentions at the next corporate meeting at bush’s

They must’ve been closing up but the food was cold and my husband noticed it had a perfume or roach spray smell on the food… I’m not sure if they were cleaning/spraying next to the chicken but we couldn’t eat anything and when I called back, no answer…

The dining room hours are supposed to be until 8 pm. This is the third time I've come here after work and they have closed the dining room early so they can clean. Had to eat my food balanced on my lap in my car.
