This is the only place in town that has gotten my order right every time I go there. The food is always fresh and the employees are very friendly. Thank all of you for your effort to do things right.

I came in literally seconds before close tonight and the girls there made my blizzard no problem. I was the textbook annoying customer and they were nothing but nice. Give them a raise.

Made order onine. The app took my money. The order didn’t go thru. The team didn’t want to disappoint my granddaughter that was waiting for the order they made the order with just the order number. I called on Monday the 21st hoping that they might have a custom ice cream cake ready before Christmas. My mom's birthday is Christmas and I've gotten her the same ice cream cake 4 years running and this month just flew by so it was a short notice call. It was a lot to ask for and I didn't think they would be able to do it and I knew that when I asked. Karina was kind enough to ask her manager and my assumption was correct and I was too late for a custom, so I asked if they had any premade cakes and Karina listed them all out and I realized I forgot to ask if any of them didn't have writing on them. She said no but went to check in the back with her manager again. Somehow the stars aligned and not only was her manager making a cake, but it was basically the only blizzard flavor my very picky eater of a mom would love. They said it was mine if I wanted it and asked how I'd like it decorated. I told them something like "I dont really care how it's decorated as long as it says 'Merry Cristi-mas' on it. Red and green would be fine but I'm not worried about it." I just picked up the cake and Ginger who I talked to at the door was lovely, Becky (the manager) double checked with me that what was supposed to be written on the cake was correct and she finished it while I was there. They RAN with the christmas theme. This is the most elaborate cake I've ever gotten from a DQ (the past years I got them from Marble Falls and Burnet because I lived in the area). Now that I live here and I've seen how lovely the staff are and how much pride they have in their work I dont expect I'll be visiting any other Dairy Queens from here on out. I cannot thank these ladies enough.

Best DQ experience ive ever had. I had a difficult day and I stopped to get dinner and a treat at this location. I ordered a loaded dessert with my chicken basket- a brownie sundae with hot fudge, marshmallow with cookie dough instead of Oreo and I watched this employee make this concoction with LOVE, exactly how I ordered it, when they were rather busy. All 3 employees were friendly and got my order ready so quickly even with a line in the drive thru. I really needed this today and my stop here at this little DQ made all the difference. Thank you to the 3 humans behind the counter. Your above and beyond service did not go unnoticed ♡

I chose D.Q. and this has been one of the best decisions of the year! First I was greeted by they most "delightful and insightful" individual that I have come across in a long time! I had my mind set on the "belt buster" triple. But I was challenged to his personal secret off the menu item...... The "quad patty" with four patties. Of course I accepted the challenge and completed the mission. His interactions with the customers were genuine and caring. In conclusion the most important and long awaited decision is in................... This was a "5 🌟" experience for everyone's favorite 🌎 traveler!!!!!!! Dairy Queen, Lampasses, Texas.

Went here on a road trip. Stop by to get some ice cream with my grandmother and my great aunt. We all got dipped cones. Well at first just me and my great aunt got dipped cones, but then my grandma decided to join in on the cone club. The people there were very nice, the workers, the place was very clean and the bathrooms were very nice. They had a Christmas tree set up which it's always nice to get into the festive mood. So I appreciate dairy Queen participating in that. If you need a place to walk your dog, this is a great place because there is grass nearby. Also, there is like some Christmas lights up nearby that were very pretty to look at on a nice little river walk. It's a beautiful town.

What can I say stop here for 60 years. Some items are great some I never eat. Time for an update to this DQ. Still a good place to have ice cream and cold tea.

Ordered a 6 piece tender basket and received a 4 piece. They apologized and were quick in making it right. The food was very fresh and the staff was super friendly.

This particular DQ has always been quite good. The people who work there are always friendly and the food quality has always been good here all the time. I have eaten at this DQ about once a month for the past year when passing through the area. Much, much better than the one in Burnet from past experience.

They were very nice and brought our food out to our table. Food was good and as expected. However, the ladies room was out of order, so my daughter and I had to take turns using the tiny men's room, which stank of urine. Other than that, it was fine.

All the workers were friendly and helpful. I'm Getting ready for knee surgery and using a walkerThey were extremely helpful making sure my food was right and to the table. This is my son's favorite place to eat on our trips. Lampasas is about halfway.

The Steak Country Basket was okay. Regular bread instead of Texas toast, smaller portion of french fries than a regular order would be. Manager had to tell employees to get up from a dining room table they were all sitting at to wait on us!

Food was adequate, but cleanliness of dine in area and bathrooms needs improvement. *Some pest control issues need to be addressed.* We opted to skip dessert after eating because we felt uncomfortable when we discovered items on our seats/table.

Good Dairy Queen food. Hot, served to my table, correct items, reasonable amount of time. This is a renovated original DQ restaurant. The front counter has been changed, floor and tables/booths are newer. The restrooms, however, are just as miniscule as you remember . . . certainly not handicapped compliant. To sum up, good fast food, friendly staff, clean restaurant but horrible restroom situation.

Food was hot and fresh. Waited about ten minutes or so. service was fine, not very friendly but fine. The bathroom smelled horrible, before you even got to the door you could smell it. It made me a little worried to eat there because I went in to wash my hands before I ate. But it smelled so bad I opted for the sanitizer spray in my purse.

Not sure what the Lampasas store is using in the ice cream machine because it's more like ice milk. It's definitely not what is served at other DQs that I visit. This is the 2nd time in the past month it's been like this.

My order was correct but they gave my husband the wrong burger. We did drive through so by the time we realized it we couldn't speak to an employee. Husband told me to check the receipt to see what we were charged for. The receipt we were given was for a single blizzard, purchased 10 minutes before we arrived in town.

Food was a little undercooked. Fries was good. The younger kids that waa working there were very disrespectful to the lady running the place

I remember as a kid DQ being clean, fast and on point when it came to their food and them taking pride in their cleanliness. As time has gone by seems like thier belief in taking good care of their restaurant and quality of food is consistently declining. That being said, I've predicted other business who stopped caring and that they would fail and every time I was correct on that prediction.. this restaurant is defiantly heading down that deep, dark, cold path.

Nice people but a $6 blizzard tasted watery and was very melted. It was not sweet either.

The store was filthy, the bathrooms were disgusting and barely big enough for an average size adult person to maneuver. The place was full of bugs and they kept landing in the ice cream. Our order was wrong...twice. it was a disappointment...

They quit selling my favorite milk shake, orange cream. I told them call me when it comes back and so will I.

They missed some of our food and didn't give us enough vouchers for the kids' treats, but they made things right. It just took a bit to get the missed food out, and the buns were a little cool.

First of all, I have never been chewed out by a Dairy Queen manager until tonight. She told me twice to get out from behind "her" counter. Please notice in the photo the location of the condiment bar napkins and straws to the right of the soda machine at the left end of the counter she was speaking about as you face "her" counter. At no time was I behind her counter. I was in front of the condiment bar which is in a very awkward location next to her counter. I have probably eaten in 20 or 30 dairy Queens across the state of Texas and other states in my 75 years. First of all, I have never seen the condiment bar in a Dairy Queen in such an awkward location. As I was sitting down to my table, The gentleman seated behind me also commented that she was rude to him as well for the same reason. With the exception of the poor location of the condiment bar this was a recently renovated DQ that I have eaten at before in Lampasas. Suffice it to say, I will never eat here again. It is the only DQ to earn that distinction from me. All the other staff were great.

The drive through was backed up so we went inside. The place is clearly understaffed. The good: the young man working the register was very professional, he greeted us and every customer that came in. He worked hard to complete every order quickly and remained friendly through the whole process. The bad: the restaurant was fairly dirty inside and the restroom was disgusting. Hire some more help and give the kid working the register a raise!

Our blizzard was mostly plain ice cream. Not the blended stuff that blizzard is supposed to be. Very stingy on the ingredients. Thought a small town like this would offer a decent serving. Sub standard outlet.

Dairy Queen is dirty when we went into the restroom the commode was stopped up. The cashier messed up some people's order. I don't think I can recommend anything good about this establishment

The cook and the counter woman were arguing over how to make my burger. Then the woman yelled at him about being on his phone as she was walking outside to smoke. Very uncomfortable to be in the store to eat.

I always take my grandson to DQ when he comes to visit. I know they cook to order but my goodness 20 minutes for a cheese burger and medium strawberry sunday.! They always move so slow. Its like a bunch of teens that haven't been trained and don't know what they are doing.

I knew they lost managers but thought 3 weeks was enough time for them to get things going. Apparently, not. Eva is loud and obnoxious but at least she seems to be trying to be friendly. Not so with the older reddish haired lady who snapped at the elderly gentleman in line in front of me. She needed assistance from Eva and kept walking away. Never told the man what she was doing. Just wondered away with his money in her hand 3 times. When he politely reminded her he needed change she snapped at him rather loudly to hold on. Still never said she couldn't get in the drawer. I understand people get frustrated. Not one of the other 3 employees apologized to the man for her behavior. Unacceptable.

Very messy restaurant. Trash was all over the tables and the garbage cans were overfilling. I waited 7 minutes to order, because the employee was on his phone. He looked at me twice. I turned to leave, but another employee came from the back and helped me out. Food was mediocre.

Stopped by at 7:30 and they dump the tea - what I'm drinking - out halfway through my meal citing it was old. It was fine, they're just trying to clean up early before the 10 pm close.

It was 9:15am when we pulled in. All (or what looked like all) the employees were standing outside chatting. We asked if the dining room was open. A female employee shook her head yes and then a male employee said “well you can go thru the drive thru because we are cleaning the dining room”. There was clearly no one cleaning the dining area. We walked in and ordered and sat down. The food was good, but the employees were almost non existent. When My husband went back up to order a blizzard no one came to the register, he turned around and looked out the window and several employees were sitting in a vehicle right outside the door, clearly watching him stand at the register waiting for service. Needless to say, he didn’t get to order. Decent food, poor service. Parents, raise your kids to be better and have better work ethic.

Stopped here during a road trip, expecting a quick stop, but it turned into nearly an hour wait. We ordered meals for five, followed by ice cream. Surprisingly, they brought out our ice cream first. After that, a family of four arrived, ordered, and received their food before us. Another family came in later and also got served first. When we asked about our order, we were informed that it was never actually sent to the kitchen. Very frustrating experience! By the time we left, my Blizzard was completely melted. My advice: make sure staff pays attention and ensures orders reach the kitchen promptly.

Stopped at Dairy Queen in Lampasas and had one of the most frustrating ordering experiences I’ve had in a while. I ordered four steak finger baskets with a side of gravy and a couple of waters and was charged $0.75 per water. Then I find out that if I had ordered the combo, it would have only been $0.53 more and I would have gotten more food. I didn’t want fries or a soda, yet I’m basically punished for ordering less. This pricing makes no sense and feels like a complete rip-off. Definitely not worth it. ⭐️

The worst Dairy Queen with the most incompetent staff I have ever been to! Don't bother coming to this location if you want to have anything correct with your order. I ordered a #2 combo, which is a double cheeseburger, a single Taco, and a small chocolate dipped cone. They made me wait for my food and when she brought it out they forgot to make the cone. Then she said that they thought I ordered a single, but that they made it a double anyway. The problem was that I ordered a double, and they made it a single! Then they did not give taco sauce with my single Taco. I had to ask for everything and she had to go back inside twice!

Tried to order during their new hours. The employee called us to the window because the ordering machine was saying closed and so I tried to order at the window. I said ‘blast’ by accident instead of blizzard and the employee or manager or whoever he was tells me ‘go back and look at the menu’. At least I know what store to avoid now if I ever decide I want ice cream again. Not trying to be a Karen, but I mean, come on man. Seriously?

The staff is very unfriendly. They do not smile, say welcome, etc. there bathroom is small and yucky. They do bring food to the table and it was hot. They argued with my husband about his order, he gave up and ate it anyway.

Waited almost an hour for my food only to sit here and watch a group of kids stand around doing nothing but talking about their personal life’s. Then I watched them handling all food and ice cream without a single one of them wearing gloves, including the cook!!! I live in Lampasas but can promise you after this experience I will never be back again.

I don't know what happened to DQ but I very rarely go now because it seems that no matrer what town I'm in the people that work there are SOO rude. I've worked fast food and know it sucks but I'm not a difficult customer so there is absolutely no reason to be rude. Also, the food is crazy over priced.

Order bacon cheese burger meal no tomatoes . Was told to drive around and wait in parking lot for order. 12 minutes later a slow to averagely busy restaurant brings out my cheese burger minus the cheese, one strip of bacon with tomatoes. No ketchup no napkins. Poor service. Poorly trained inattentive staff typical of lampasas scene except for storms. Be prepared to not get what you ordered

Charged me over 8 dollars for a kids meal because I added lettuce and tomato. Waited FAR TOO LONG for our food. My kid didn't even eat it cause it was trash. Will NEVER return.

Stopped by on Sunday 8/21 with my wife, we ordered a hamburger for each of us and a order of jalitos for each of us with medium drinks, it cost 33 dollars and some change to come out cold and barely cooked after waiting for nearly 20 minutes. The cheese on the burgers wasn’t melted or even straight on them, just gobbed on and the patties on my burger were half cooked like they were only half way on the grill. The cook had a terrible attitude and you could tell he didn’t want to be there and the place was severely understaffed. We won’t be back since I don’t care to pay over 30 dollars for two cold hamburgers that were slopped together!

Had me waiting 20 minutes just for a steak finger basket I had to go inside and the manager just stares and he says oh what's right here( with attitude) NEVER AGAIN!

Literally no one in drive thru. Employee Tammy took my order. I drive up to pay. She says she didn't have her head set on. I REORDER. Then wait twenty minutes for food with absolutely no else there. Only to discover she completely screwed up my order. Wow. Sucked

The kid who is hardly an adult now was very rude, I went there with my order in mind they were out of what I requested okay fine but dont rush me when I need to decide on something else and then trying to keep there turnover time for window service down so they made us and any car that came after us pull around to the front they brought our food out after 20 min and it was a kids burger and fries and a 4 piece chicken tender the gravy was already cold and the tenders were over cooked the only positive thing was the French fries and that was sad bc they forgot the ketchup I requested! Really sad visit. Poorly Trained Staff! NOT Attentive at all! Manager was just talking with all of the kids working for how slow they were and how many were on duty I expected more.

The speaker was broken on the sign, there was no sign out there to tell me to pull up, I ordered a dipped cone and The cone was stale as hell, and my buddy ordered a hot fudge sundae but was told it was $2 more for peanuts! Then the lady got mad because my card wouldn't work. Find another one

This girl was already having a horrible night, my husband even asked her very nicely and concerned if she was ok... then when she slammed the window and threw her head set we had enough. You just do not treat people that way. Waiting for ice cream, mixing up orders all of that ok ok... but screaming at people, throwing a head set over us asking for a cookie dough blizzard and we were given the toll house cookie blizzard... I just asked nicely for it to be fixed and it went south. Not to mention all of this fit throwing in front of my 4 children. It was a simple mistake and we just asked for it to be switched out. Very nicely I might add. My husband even first offered to pay for it.... never have we ever had an experience like this and will make sure it is escalated higher up.

Worst food I have ever had from a DQ...hamburger was dry, over cooked and had zero flavor, fries had no salt and the tea was watered down...place my order to go and was broght to me in a dine in basket...will not be stopping there again

We always stop at a DQ between Blanco and Dallas and won’t go back to this one. Charged me for a drink when I only wanted ice and charged me for the free kiddie cone because we wanted it dipped. It’s 20 cents difference and would have gladly paid that but it was too hard for her to figure out how to input it into the register. She appeared to be the manager. Just not the usual experience we have at DQ.

The bathroom is not handicapped accessible ! We sat there for about 30 min becuase the worker didn’t tell us the speaker was out to pull forward ! The inside isn’t clean at all and discussing wouldn’t want to bring my family here . The burger had hair in it and they were not wearing a hair net. And they messed up our order !!!!!!!!! I do not recommend

Employees cannot fill online orders because they do not have paper in the store to write the order on. They can see the order but not prepare it. The store does NOT have the correct cup lids for their drink cups either. Online orders may take up to 45 minutes to prepare when the order and payment is completed.

We used to love the crispy chicken salad and cherry limeade here but now its served with shredded lettuce???? The salad looks like it was made with taco toppings. Shredded lettuce and 5 tiny diced pieces of tomatoe. We were also told by the kid working the window that they dont have cherry limeade because they stopped getting limes??? Disappointed all around

I have read the review from Holli and I had the same experience with this manager. She Is not friendly at all. She gives you dirty looks the entire time you’re here. I witnessed a customer order a burger, she sent the order to the back but didn’t make the order ! The manager waited for the worker that was cleaning the parking lot to come and make this lady’s burger. This lady sat in her car for 15 min, then having to walk inside asking for her order. Manager gave her dirty look as well. This manager is not polite, don’t even apologize for the wait. This lady is not manager material. She seems like she hates her job and the people who come in her store. The lady who made my ice cream and my son’s ice cream was more polite and friendly than the MGR herself. The other workers more personal and polite. I would be embarrassed if this was a manager working for me. She stands around while the others work. This manager could be cleaning the counter tops and around the toppings bar because it was looking nasty and unclean. SMH I am not sure my family and I will be back until she is gone.

I was in the store yesterday and an employee was on the store phone waiting on the manager to assist a customer. It seemed like they were having some technical issues in the store and the manager kept telling the employee to wait. She then yelled at the employee in front of customers about not doing his job, being on the phone for so long, and not working fast enough. If there are issues with store’s equipment, the manager should be trying to fix it or be in contact with higher ups instead of yelling at her employees over it. Also, aren’t they supposed to answer the store phone and assist customers as part of their job, no matter how long it may take?! Most importantly though, the manager should not yell at her employees like she yelled at the poor guy yesterday. Especially not in front of customers like she did. Looking at other reviews lately, it seems like this manager is a common problem and has been named personally as a problem by other customers. The franchise owner and/or corporate needs to do something about management or they will always be short staffed and a horrible place to eat.

We stopped here on our way back home from a weekend trip last Sunday afternoon. We asked for a chocolate shake and a hot fudge sundae. The shake was fine, but the hot fudge sundae was not. The young long-haired blonde gal helping us did not tell me that they didn't have any HOT fudge. She had a bag of fudge sitting in front of the warmer so when she squeezed it out it was cold thick fudge and she just swirled it around my ice cream, put a lid on it, and handed it to me. Before I left, I opened it up and it was cold fudge. I went back to the counter and she wasn't there so I told another gal that it wasn't hot and she then told the girl that waited on me. I got a funny look and she told me I would have to wait 10-15 minutes for hot fudge. I told her no and she asked what I wanted, so I had her make me a small chocolate shake. Before she gave me my shake, she ran back to the back of the restaurant and got a towel and something else to wipe off my shake container. She asked me several times if I wanted whipped cream and I told her no several times. You would think once would suffice. Several hours later, I did not feel well after drinking it.

Its beautiful for a DQ, but the "Large" fries were barely even warm, looked like a small too. Spent around 30 minutes till they said the blizzard/ice cream machine didnt work, after we origionally ordered. When we asked for a refund it took an additional 5 minutes along with a employee and the manager complaing about clocking out even though they just kinda sat in their car doing nothing.

We wanted to give this location another try after multiple bad experiences but it seems like nothing has changed. At first our experience was average, we had a large order and everything was going good, but when we arrived home to distribute our meals we realized we were missing a meal. I went back and asked if I could get my burger and fries I was missing, but the manager snapped back saying "I counted 6 burgers, you have everything." we had only ordered 5 and received 4 but manager was still confident that we received "all 6." Overall manager was unnecessarily rude about it and ruined the experience. I do not recommend this location.

Slow food was very bland took forever

The worst dairy queen I've ever been too and it does no good to contact anyone because the manager is just as inept as her crew is. As a business owner, I'd never support a business run the way this business is run.

We went there today and waited at the drive thru for 30 mins and nobody came on the speaker to take our order, so we pulled up to the window and they just kept looking at us but nobody offered to help us. We will not be coming back!!! Customer service is atrocious!!

I just went through the drive-through and asked for a large Oreo shake and I have gone to probably 30 different. Dairy Queen‘s across Texas and have been able to get an Oreo shake as soon as I asked for it. They told me no I can’t make you that one we can make you a chocolate one instead Don’t ever go to this Dairy Queen because they don’t even know that they can make a Oreo shake so ridiculous

Absolutely horrible experience. The soda machines were broken, so instead they handed out opened cans of soda that were left sitting on the counter for the next customer. Disgusting. The hamburgers were undercooked and nasty. Then the ice cream tasted sour — not even exaggerating — and everyone in our group ended up sick afterward. The bathrooms had supposedly just been “fixed,” yet there was water all over the floor. Clearly no one bothered to clean or check anything. The worst part? The cook working on 1/19/26 around 9 PM was yelling and cursing at two young female employees. He was openly aggressive and completely unprofessional. I was so uncomfortable that I actually asked the girls if they were okay before leaving. No customer should witness that, and no employee should be treated that way. Management needs to do much better — if they even care. My entire family will never come back. Worst experience we’ve ever had. Save yourself the trouble and just go to McDonald’s.

Okay, here's a negative review of Dairy Queen: I recently visited Dairy Queen, and it was a pretty disappointing experience. The service was slow, and the staff didn't seem particularly interested in being helpful. When I finally got my Blizzard, it was not mixed well at all. There were pockets of just plain ice cream, and the toppings were all clumped on top.

We asked them politely if our food was ready, they hadn’t started it yet, and even said the ice cream was out which was not true. Do not recommend.

Went ordered 4meals. They forgot that were waiting outside for our order, the two orders or large onion rings had 4 each, the steak and chicken fingers had water for both gravys waste of our money!!!! Doesn’t even deserve one star!!!

Ordered in the drive thru - a jalitos ranch burger and a kids chicken strips. We’re told to wait at the door, 20 min later our food comes out. We make it home, another 10 min drive and the burger has absolutely no meat on it and the fries are missing. The last three times we’ve been here it’s been the same kind of stuff, either the people working there don’t have the ability to notice something that major or they are willingly doing it wrong. There are limited options in this town and now one less for us. This place is horrible, and it sucks because I love their chicken strips.

Wow.. the Manager is responsible for this review solely.. we stood for nearly 10min before the manager decided we deserved her attention. She gave me dirty looks the entire time and was short with me while I was trying to order. The people that were eating at the tables while I waited to order had to come and ask for their blizzards after the finished because nobody had even thought to make them with their order.. I ordered a large hot fudge sundae with extra hot fudge which took them 5min to even get to and then it was meager to begin with but it melted by the time we got the 2 blizzards we ordered with it.. the Hispanic woman Manager cut me off when I tried to speak, ignored us standing there waiting while she talked to staff and then made my sundae small and we had to wait another 10min to get the other portion of our order.. I think if you work in the food service industry you should have some people skills or at the very least know how to be polite to people.. sorely not the case with this woman.. you can see even her own employees agree she has a nasty attitude and should not be working with the public... 20min for melted ice cream and dirty looks seems a bit ridiculous.. YALL NEED TO GET A NEW MANAGER! I will be calling corporate with this because she was that rude..
