Sassy bird is a Nashville fried chicken restaurant. In case you don’t know what Nashville hot chicken is it’s fried chicken with spicy oil for flavor. Sassy bird gets six different types of hot flavor and all of them are amazing. The first time I went here I got the sassy Mack ball. this is a bowl filled with mac & cheese, chicken of your flavor, pickles, coleslaw, and a choice of either fries or tater tots. I personally love tater tots and get them every chance I get, and I think you made a huge difference getting tater tots with his bowl. This bowl was everything I wanted all combined together. It’s packed with flavor and very very filling. Be prepared to want to take a nap after eating his bowl but well worth it. The second time I went there I got the loaded fries. Once again, you can get it loaded fries with your choice of french fries or tater tots or both. So I got the loaded half-and-half, which comes with have fries have tater tots, their sassy sauce, pickles, and coleslaw. I put pictures and the box was literally busting out with these fries. The first bite was phenomenal and I did close my eyes to enjoy it. I highly recommend one of these two dishes for the first time going. It’s a great introduction, but feel free to try everything on the menu because everything is amazing. I will be coming back to this place and I will be trying everything on the menu.

Tried Sassy Bird for the first time today 12/15/2020 and I gotta say I was impressed. Ordered some loaded fries, chicken sandwich, and some tenders . The servings on these loaded fries are easily for 2 people great taste chicken is juicy and tender I had the mild ones and they were great the coleslaw compliments everything first time I had fries like that loved it. The tenders are huge crunchy and juicy lots of flavor and the smell quickly fills up your car lol. The chicken sandwich was awesome the fries compliment the sandwich nicely over all a great experience will I be back you bet!! Employees were nice and friendly I came back for mire sauce and Jessica was quick to help and very friendly!

The food was absolutely incredible, the guy taking my order was super helpful and showed me what was popular, the music is okay. However, the prices are kind of high; came out to almost 30 dollars for one item but I split it with my friend, and we both got full. I wish I could come here more, but I couldn't justify that price for just one person. Again though, the food was incredible, I was sceptical because chicken places are hit or miss, but this place HITS.

Used to be amazing, but quality started slipping around the time they switched from the brown boxes to the red and white ones. I've had a few meals that were dry or burnt compared to their usual standard. Friendly service and good size portions, though - and still good enough to come back.

High price. Service was amazing, nice spot outside to sit on some benches with some pop playing on speakers moderately loud. No indoor seating. When you go to order, the menu is on a TV behind you, which is a little awkward. The food was great. Had a sandwich, which was like $15 with spicy honey (+3$), which was delicious but not spicy. The soda was $5. Overall, it's good, but the price is not justified. With taxes, it was like $25 for just a sandwich and a soda. It's a big sandwich, but that's too much.

I love sassy bird. I get their burritos often. I love the hot honey sauce they have. However I got food last night and it came with a nice friend on the top of it. Was hard to overlook as it was the first thing I noticed. I was bummed because I got it right at closing and couldn’t go get me another so I just discarded it. Please pay more attention. You guys are my favorite place don’t do me dirty

Big portions, sauce was spot on however chicken needed more seasoning or flavor. Loved the sassy Mac bowl. Strawberry Lemonade was great!! However 3 people it was close to $80. 2 #1 combos (no drink included) and sassy Mac bowl and 1 Strawberry Lemonade. Is the spot under decor changes?

Very good food and very kind people but I felt very lead astray by the spicy levels. The mild was /really/ hot and I’m NOT a baby about spice, I just can’t eat it very often because I have a sensitive stomach. The tater tots were really great at least, they helped me cool down my mouth very well lol

This place is way too overhyped, the food was very unimpressive. It’s not inedible but I don’t see myself wanting to go back here. The mac n cheese is incredibly bland so with the Mac bowl you’re stuck with a 21$ huge portion of plain noodles with mediocre chicken and soggy fries. The sandwich is also pretty unimpressive and the sauce is like a slightly less tangy Dave’s sauce, although their ranch is really good. People are too willing to go crazy over mediocre food, wouldn’t recommend it.

l used to be a big fan of this spot — the spicy chicken was always packed with flavor, juicy, and had just the right amount of heat. It was worth every penny, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal. Unfortunately, lately the quality has taken a noticeable dip. The chicken isn't as fresh or well-seasoned. Meanwhile, the prices keep going up, which makes it harder to justify coming back. Recently i had ordered 2 mac bowls for my girlfriend and i with the spice level as “ Hot “ but it did not have any sort of spice at all. This isn’t the first time this has happened either as it seems like depending on the cook , it’ll either be “ Hot “ like asked or just “ Mild “ with little to no flavor. Overall disappointing as it should not taste different every time , i used to love this spot and come once to twice a week but this most recent experience with prices continuing to climb and quality drastically going down makes me not want to come back as often. I really hope they can get back to the quality that made this place stand out because it had so much potential. Fingers crossed for a turnaround!

Normally my family and I LOVE sassy bird, but today one of our orders was supposed to be the mac and cheese dish (with the fixings) and another order had a side order of Mac and cheese that was supposedly 8 oz for an additional $6 dollars. You’ll see the pics below but my Mac and cheese bowl had little no no Mac and the side dish was a joke for $6 more. If they didn’t have as much Mac any more they could’ve just said so and we gladly would’ve chosen something else off the menu. The flavor of everything is always great and they usually have it ready in a timely manner I just wish we received what we actually ordered. Really disappointed.

First time trying this place because of all the hype I’ve heard. I should have read the recent reviews before wasting time and money. The chicken in the Sassy Grilled Cheese is so dry and has no flavor. The Sassy Mac Bowl has no flavor. Chicken was okay, Mac and cheese has no flavor, coleslaw is dry and tots were hard and the pickles were nasty. The sassy sauce was bland and did nothing for the food. Over all save your time and money and head over to Dave’s Hot Chicken.
