I’ve only been to The Third Place twice so far, but each visit has been wonderful. The service is consistently attentive and friendly, and the food is absolutely excellent. The atmosphere is gorgeous—warm, modern, and unexpectedly refined for the location. It really feels like a hidden gem. When my boyfriend suggested we go there again, I didn’t even think twice. My favorite dish so far is the mussels—they’re perfectly cooked and full of flavor. You can tell real care goes into the menu and presentation here. This place is definitely one of those rare finds that makes you excited to come back.
My husband and I have gone on two separate occasions and it has not disappointed. Staff is friendly and welcoming but the wait time for food can seem a bit too long. We personally didn't mind since the food was delicious with unique flavors and freshly made. The atmosphere gives a modern bar feel yet lounge like among the walls of the restaurant. They have a set menu with a variety that's a bit pricey but also a seasonal menu which I pretty much enjoyed. I do say it can be somewhere to dine casually but reservations are to be made in advance which makes it feel more fancy. I would definitely want to go again to see the options on their seasonal menu
Certainly in the Top 5 Best AV Restaurants. I've worked my way through about half the menu, and I very rarely come across something I don't love. Fish tacos: best I've ever had. Miso salmon: delicious. Burgers: excellent. Seasonal stuff: almost always fantastic. The only thing I can recall feeling sorta meh about are the cauliflower tacos (and I love veggie dishes). Everything else has been great. Admittedly I've only dined in once, so I can't really comment on the service or environment, but all ten or so take-out orders I've had have been awesome.
Food and atmosphere A+, hostess needs to work on her people skills, learn to say yes instead of no, paying customers here🤦🏻♂️
So we recently stopped by for lunch and had a good time. The food was excellent, all fresh and packed with flavors. The service was fine. The atmosphere is what I liked best, although the location is sketchy, the inside of the restaurant is beautiful. Cozy chic. I can't wait to come back.
An enjoyable experience. Started off a little rocky as the waitress didn't seem very knowledgeable on the drinks on offer and wasn't able to give us the WiFi password which was a little odd. As we had people from abroad they were reliant on it. anyways things got better, the food started flowing and was top notch. Started to get a rapport with the waitress and all was good. The meatloaf sliders were delicious, the bone in ribeye was cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth. The mousse was good, not overly rich as expected. A good night out.
The dishes are refined, with delicate and well-balanced flavors. I would give six stars if I could.
one of my favorite restaurants to visit in the AV. The cauliflower tacos are flavorful and the steak and fries are my favorite. The ceviche is also something I would order again. The whiskey sour here is amazing that’s my go to drink here. I’ve had the churro dessert which I enjoyed. The staff is very welcoming and the wait for a table isn’t too long. I usually come here on the weekdays. I’ll probably make a reservation on the weekend just in case. The music here varies. It’s not too loud you can have a nice romantic date, the lighting is a bit dim. They also have tables for larger groups. They have some tvs for sports but depending where you sit. There is plenty of parking. Overall this place is great for a drink and good food.
We tried this Lil spot out while we were in the area. The food was divine I ordered the beet salad and it did not disappoint. Everything was incredibly delicious. Definitely recommend and we will come back to chck out other dishes on the menu. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Great vibes
Tor provided great service! Met our every need! The kitchen provided amazing food. Fresh! Creative! Chicken was moist and flavorful. Loved the pistachios and sesame seeds on the carrots.
Third Place is a fairly small restaurant which is perfect if you are trying to enjoy a quiet dinner. We had been wanting to try this place for a while & we are glad we finally did. The selection on their menu is small but the food is delicious. My wife had the miso salmon & I had the 14oz ribeye. We also had a few drinks which were also good. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a new place…
Uptown Lancaster had our employee party here. We had to make last minute arrangements, which worked out even better than the first plans. For 14 people to have a full meal and two top-shelf cocktails our entire bill was way less than a painting party with no food. And the price was going to be $45 a person then!!!!! Thank you everyone at the Third Place for the excellent service and the chill vibe.
My husband and I love coming to this spot on occasions. We’re always looking forward in returning. It’s cute and cozy with a wonderful ambiance. Very clean. Nicely designed and decorated. It has a very relaxing feel to this spot, a place to have a bite, unwind and have a drink. Theres even a nice area to lounge. We been here for lunch and dinner several times and on different days/times and we never had a bad experience. Everything is delicious and fresh. My husband loves the gourmet burgers personally, I myself love the appetizers and drinks. If you’re looking for a spot without all that nonsense noise, this is a nice hidden spot that you will enjoy and come back.
I always enjoy a great meal and a couple of drinks at The Third Place. Both are always great. I had the lamp chops last night, and they did not disappoint. My wife loves the banh mi steak sandwich.
I absolutely love this place. Their cocktails are to die for. Their food is always scrumptious. When you think about it, the word “scrumptious” is such a fun word. I try and order something different every time we go. Couple visits ago I got the airline chicken. I don’t feel like I would order it again. There was nothing crazy special about it. This time I had the steak sandwich with the steak fries. The burger is ALWAYS good. I had a berry drink with a very fun berry as a garnish. Too bad your screen isn’t scratch and sniff
You can drive past this place and not even know it's there but once you get inside you'll be glad you came. It's a laid back environment that makes you want to relax and chill. There are enough variety of drinks to appease any taste. But the star of this place is the food. The third place kitchen is one of the best in town. This is some good food in a town that's short on good restaurants.
Loved it, the drinks and food were unique and creative. Watermelon smash was a super refreshing mix of Milagro Tequila and watermelon. The Lobster Pistou was packed full of tasty lobster chunks on linguine with crispy basil and citrus bread crumbs on top. The service was a little slow but they were very nice and you have to consider they were making custom drinks and is was a bit busy. Overall it was a great place.
The third place What a great place to have lunch after church, I usually have my kids but today I didn’t and that made it much more enjoyable. So I decided to indulge a bit, I began with a French press, and might I say it was a beautiful setup. I then moved on to trying the steak tartare, which was paired with yummy garlic toast. For my main entrée, I ordered the 14-ounce ribeye, It is served separately, and garnished with three potato wedges and two roasted potatoes. It was cooked to perfection and served on a wooden cutting board. Overall I’m satisfied with my visit and glad I decided to try this new place, THE THIRD PLACE, next time I'm trying the Miso Salmon. Yum.
I had lunch today with a friend who found this restaurant from Google map ... We shared the roasted carrot, mushroom risotto, lemon tart, and a lamb shank dish to go. I am impressed the well-prepared, delicious, not salty food. The carrot dish was fragrant with the roasted sesame, and there was crunchy wild rice to contrast with the soft, sweet carrot. The risotto was creamy and there was a lot of mushroom. The lemon tart was nice with the blackberries. I had the lamb shank for dinner and it was perfectly cooked. The lamb did not taste gamy at all, it tasted like braised beef. The polenta was creamy and the gravy was flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive. I really like this place and I think it is a nice surprise to have it in the Lancaster area. I think the food is better than many places in orange county. Definitely will be here again if I am in the area.
Our first time we stopped in for drinks before going to a movie so we didn't get to try much, but both of our cocktails were quite tasty and prepared with flair. On our third visit I had the most amazing whiskey sour I've ever had. Classic perfection. The beef tartar is seriously delicious. Just make sure you have someone to share it with.
Great atmosphere, cocktails were on point. Strongly recommend Airline chicken, Chocolate Mousse dessert was house-made and on point as well. Overall it is 10/10 place. It’s a hidden gem.
The food and drink here are at the highest level. The staff is amazing. I can recommend this place strongly even. I hope they add the corn soup to their menu as a permanent addition along with nutty Nana's old fashioned. I highly recommend going here
We tried this restaurant for a Sunday lunch and what a great experience! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The decor is really cool with wood blocks edging the bar, tastefully used gold highlights in the frames, and succulents accenting the overall look. The food is high quality and made extremely well. We had the pistachio carrots for the app which were tender and flavorful. We also had the Italian Bolognese and Airline Chicken dishes. Both were fresh and full of flavor. Finally, I had a Berry Delightful drink from the bar. It was refreshing and fruity - perfect for a warm summer afternoon. We will definitely be back!
Looking for a different, non-franchise, place for my co-workers to try for dinner. Unfortunately, there is not much to choose from in Lancaster. After seeing this place pop up, we decided to try it, and everyone was impressed! The menu isn't very large, but there is something for everyone and what they do have is executed perfectly! Prices are a little above average but worth it. The atmosphere is relaxed and easy-going with awesome, attentive waiting staff. It is a fairly small place, so reservations will guarantee you a place. We will be going back and would highly recommend for anyone else looking for great food in the sea of mediocre in the Lancaster area.
Everything was delicious, was not expecting it to be so good. The tomato garden salad and the mushroom risotto were so tasty! :)
My husband surprised me with a special lunch birthday celebration with a group of close friends and family members. It was amazing. Excellent food options, vegetarian options. Definitely will return. Returned and there are more vegan options. Lots of deliciousness. Tried the cheesecake must try. Pretty packed for a Wednesday which can only mean people love the food and the vibe.
I live coming here! The staff is always friendly and ready to make great drink and food suggestions. I have tried almost every dish and they are all delicious! My personal favorite has been the Ceviche, sticky wings, and the steak with wedges. As for drinks, The Third Place Margarita is a must try.
I’m not trying to exaggerate, but, I have lived in the AV since 2015, and this was the best food I’ve had at a restaurant. My wife and I had: The French baguette, Chili Cucumbers, 2 Saber Toothed Squirrels, a Valkyrie 9, an Old Fashioned, a Whiskey Sour, and a Manhattan. For the entrees: I did the Steak and Fries. It was cooked to absolute perfection; with its delicious Chimichurri on top. My wife did the fish tacos, and WOW!! Talk about some amazing blue tortillas! What an afternoon. Do yourself a favor and make a stop here. Say, “Hi” to Christina for some amazing drinks.
Stumbled on this place, food and drinks were excellent, staff was awesome, as well- recommended!
This place is so cool! The staff is great and they look very professional. Great selection of liquor, amazing appetizers, and the main course was so flavorful I couldn't stop saying "yum". Can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu!
Amazing had the muscles bowl ask for extra bread the soup it comes in is amazing...coctails are all well made bone in ribeye is on point the touch of spicy mustard and the best potato wedges ever so crispy yet tender. If you like cheesecake get it so good was like a a cheesecake crumble. This place does not disappoint highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.
This place stands head and shoulders above the local eateries in flavor and creativity. This applies not only to the food but to the bar. We have been here numerous times and find it is very consistent. I have not tried any of the seasonal menus that they keep the variety going because i love my orders so much. The pricing will limit your visits to special times, possibly. Currently the parking lot is not crowded and is far from the street so the outdoor dining doesn't suffer from geniuses in loud cars nor from pollution, as happens in Lancaster blvd.
Always amazing experience. Great cocktails, incredible food, lovely decor. Really lives up to its name. Especially love their seasonal rotating menus.
My husband and I came here for lunch for the first time. Everything was delicious! Server was attentive. I loved the cheesecake as well. Great experience.
Always a great time here. The food is always fantastic and it’s a great spot to just grab a couple drinks with friends!
I am here to recognize our waiter Jake last night for his extraordinary service. Not only was he attentive and friendly throughout our meal, but he stayed aware of the surroundings even after his time with us was over. When someone approached us in the parking lot, he stepped in kindly and professionally, ensuring we felt safe. His genuine care made our night so much more comfortable and memorable. The food is always great, no matter what you get. The drinks are always carefully crafted & very delicious as well. The restaurant is lucky to have him & my friends and I appreciate his extra care!
Amazing service! Everyone is all smiles as soon as you open the door to be greeted. Amazing food and great timing!! Drinks are great!!! And how polite the workers are is so delightful. They’ll come check on you and make sure you’re enjoying your meal and your time… but it’s not one of those overwhelming things where you don’t get to make it through your meal without being bugged. And when leaving, they say, “Hope to see you again” … it made me feel so welcomed to come back again.
This is our favorite place in the AV to eat. The menu is smaller, but everything is phenomenal. Whoever the executive chef and/or head bartender are, they have glorious palettes because everything is beautiful, balanced and flavorful. The go tos are the chicken sandwich, mushroom risotto and the airline chicken. The cocktails are glorious. There is only one downside that is not their fault, but it is next to a nail salon, and sometimes you get a whiff of aromas from the salon. All the staff have been great and friendly. Literally, any occasion, birthday, work night hangout, we go here. Our average night out here for two people is about 80ish with two entrees and a few drinks. So maybe a little higher end, but so worth it.
First time eating here. This place has been open since August 2020. Tonight is January 12th Friday night and it was busy you had to wait to be seated. If you come here on a Friday or Saturday night make reservation suggested. The food was good I had the Bolognese and and Brie Burger. Both order was good so if you've not been here go for it and try it. It's a little pricey but what the heck you only live once. Will come back again when I say more money.
Good service, we all ordered burgers and chicken sandwiches they were delicious. The potato wedges were not so good. However, they should work on those. Not so crazy about the gourmet ketchup either. We did get there sticky wings, those are very good
Great ambiance friendly staff. Enjoyed the mussels, just the right size. Garlic bread was perfectly grilled. The house burger was ok not much flavor though. Music at the right level and easy listening while having a conversation.
Really mixed feelings about this place. Clearly a lot of thought went into the look of the place and it's definitely great, right down to the food being Instagram worthy. But... The taste is just ok. Don't get me wrong it's definitely good, but everything tastes like it's on a leash. The flavors and probably the spices are all restrained, and it just leaves all the food tasting a little bland. It's served really hot like it just came off the heat which is good. The staff was all friendly and they were making drinks that looked amazing. The main problem I have with it is that it's just so expensive. For the cheaper prices, tastier food is available at any number of places. Tldr; this place is expensive, come for the atmosphere and the friendly staff, not the food.
It was my first time going to this establishment (on a first date), and it was great! The bartender (Tor) was outstanding, the food was delicious and the atmosphere inside of the restaurant was cozy and comfortable. I did not feel like I was eating at a loud, overstuffed and overpriced corporate food chain. The Third Place is perfect for a more intimate and personal local dining experience. I recommend The Third Place!
Came here with my boyfriend and another couple. We ordered two appetizers with our drinks first and then made a second order for our main entrees. Everyone except for me ordered the steak and frites. Two of them asked for medium. I ordered the steak banh mi. Our entrees came out and all of the steaks were medium rare. Two of them asked for medium. We also told them we had not received our appetizers yet, to which the server didn’t seem that concerned. At this point we had been waiting a while for the food (since we had not received our appetizers yet!) so my boyfriend and my friend did not ask them to fix the steaks. My steak banh mi was good. Fries were a little over salted. They brought the appetizers out after we were finished eating. They didn’t offer any discount for us getting the appetizers after our meal. Food was ok, service could definitely be better. For the price, my boyfriend and I spent $118 (not including tip.)
PLACE IS OK, I WAS EXPECTING ALOT MORE FOR THE PRICE. REAL SIMPLE PLACE ONE BIG ROOM WITH A FULL BAR IN THE MIDDLE. THE MENU NEEDS TO HAVE MORE MEMU OPTIONS. AND THERE IS NOT MUCH FOR KIDS CHOICES. ONE THING I DO RECOMEND ARE THE WINGS. WONT GO BACK AGAIN.
staff is friend, energy is comfortable clean overall. Burger was thick and had a smoky metal like taste to it. for two burger and fries it was 34, it took 20 minutes to be served the food.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile now, since we don’t have many nice restaurants out here in the antelope valley. To start off, Host was very pleasant. Atmosphere was nice. Food was delicious!!! But our server was horrible. I don’t know if she was having a bad night or what but place wasn’t that busy, took over 15min to just order a drink. By the time she came around we ordered our drinks appetizers and dinner. Never asked how everything was or if we needed anything. Only reason I tipped her 20% is because maybe she was just having a crappy day . But definitely hurting what could be a fabulous gastropub.
We ordered the baguette as our starter along with drinks and the mushroom risotto and steaks as our main. It took 6 mins for our drinks to arrive. Our food arrived 1hour 10mins later. After asking the servers and front of house for the status of our mian course, the bar tender made sure we had drinks and water and went to the kitchen to ask about our order after others just ignored us. The starter and main courses arrived. The baguette was disappointing only 3 pieces were received, thought we were getting a full baguette and not just 3 small slices. As for our dishes, the steak arrived burnt and the risotto was very soupy and bland. Only the bread was on the house. We tipped the bar tender very well. Overall we paid $100 plus $45 tip. Very disappointing night. We will NOT be coming back.
I’ve been a regular customer here for a while and have recommended this place to many friends and newcomers because of its great food, curated ambiance, and overall good experience. I usually come with a group, and we always enjoy both the food and drinks. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing. I called afterward to share my concerns, but no one followed up which was even more disheartening. We brought a special bottle of wine to celebrate a friend’s birthday. I asked about opening it at the table and was informed there would be a $15 corkage fee. I agreed, as I appreciated having the option to share a meaningful bottle with everyone. However, the service that came with that fee was completely missing. No glacette (wine chiller) or glasses were provided, I had to get up multiple times to ask for glasses and ended up serving the wine myself. Despite this, the corkage fee was still charged, and an automatic gratuity was added on top. I don’t mind paying for good service, but it felt unfair to be charged for a service that wasn’t actually provided. If the team isn’t equipped to offer proper corkage service, it might be better not to offer that option at all. I would have been just as happy giving the bottle to my friend to enjoy later at home. I hope this feedback helps improve staff training and consistency. I really do love this restaurant and want it to continue offering the level of hospitality it’s known for. Daniela
First time visit I was craving prime steak they only had choice meat had salmon Instead. Food is not good for the price We did not complain we Just won't go backSO🧂 SO salty, don't let the pictures fool you . We paid 79.00 2 plates and potatoes but really paid for the ambiance . I don't recommend don't say we did not warn you !
